3483  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet moved, not working. Best course of action? on: March 28, 2021, 09:32:00 PM
You can restore your wallet using the wallet file or its seed. You don't have/can't import both of them.

I recommend restoring your wallet from seed since it's easier.
Download and install the latest version of Electrum on your Windows device (download it from the official website and verify its signature) then follow the steps described in this guide:

3484  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WARNING! Stay away from Blockchain.com wallet! on: March 28, 2021, 08:56:44 PM
Even though Blockchain.com has been aware of this flaw since 2019, it still has not been fixed.
As far as I know, blockchain.com fixed that vulnerability and patched it. The issue is that they refused to pay the bug bounty to the person who discovered it. It was BayAreaCoins

Web wallets are the worst (be it blockchain.com or any other service) and no one should use them.
3485  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FTX.com embezzled my money, removed from chats, cleaned up my correspondence on: March 28, 2021, 08:10:22 PM
It looks like whoever hacked your account is also contacting them to recover the account and link it to the old email.
This is an obvious flaw in their security system. The first thing they had to do, after you informed them about losing access to the old email and after they verified your identity, was to blacklist the compromised email or at least ask the other person to verify his identity too.

Asking for a written agreement between you and who is clearly trying to steal you is just ridiculous!
3486  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MEW wallet [compromised/hacked] on: March 28, 2021, 07:26:50 PM
As long as you still don't know how exactly your mew got hacked, you should consider the possibility that all your other wallets and accounts got compromised too and act accordingly.
The first and obvious thing to do is to move all your coins to a secure wallet and reset all your accounts password from a clean device as soon as possible.

Then, you have to figure out how you got hacked (downloaded apps from untrusted sources, saved your seeds online...) in order to take the appropriate action and stop any further damage.
Really sorry for your loss!
3487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin value keeps climbing, make sure your old cold storage is safe. on: March 28, 2021, 04:25:22 PM
You just reminded me that I have a lot of unencrypted altcoins wallets stored on USBs and old hardrives and not even sure if they still work (I'll have to remember where I put them, first)!
Not sure why I kept delaying this but it's about time to move those coin to a safer place so thank you for the reminder op.

Here is a step by step guide on how to send/receive cryptocurrencies from/to your coinbase account:
https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/trading-and-funding/cryptocurrency-trading-pairs/how-to-send-and-receive-cryptocurrency

I don't have the wallet app installed on my phone so not sure how it works exactly. There should be a receive tab or button, click on it and you will get your receiving address.
3489  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trying to figure out how to mine and got lost, need help. on: March 28, 2021, 02:13:34 PM
1. I currently have one wallet address that I'm aware of. Am I correct to assume that this wallet address I now see on coinbase.com is the same wallet that's an app on my phone? I guess another way of wording this question would be: Does accessing my wallet via coinbase.com while on a PC vs accessing my coinbase wallet on my iphone mean I have two wallets, or are they both the same wallet?
To be able to access your coinbase account from your mobile you have to download the coinbase app not the coinbase wallet app. They are two different products.
I believe you downloaded the wallet app since it gave you a seed (list of words). This app is not connected to your coinbase account and will generate different addresses. If you send coins to one of these addresses, you will not see it on your coinbase account.
3490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can someone explain how next roll prediction works please? on: March 27, 2021, 11:59:12 PM
Casinos use different algorithms to generate random numbers which determine the game result. Those algorithms do not depend on the currency the casino supports.
However, some casinos use block hashes as a source of entropy. But this is not recommended and it's better to avoid them as there is always a possibility to manipulate the results (with enough hashing power).
3491  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Steps To Take If You Believe Your Seed Has Been Found/Compromised? on: March 27, 2021, 10:50:42 PM
So i thought... send it to an exchange where you are already verified... like coinbase.  I mean your funds there would be safe right if you send it immediately?  Also everyone would agree you should send it with the highest fee possible in a situation like this?
If your PC got compromized then most probably all your exchanges accounts, email accounts... got compromized too if you ever logged into them from that device. In that case, it doesn't matter whether the account is verified or not.

The safest thing to do is to create a new wallet on a safe and secure device and send all your coins to it. You don't have to set a very high fee rate. Just choose a reasonable fee rate and make sure to disable rbf.
3492  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When is Authenticator code needed? on: March 27, 2021, 10:05:26 PM
Generally and on most websites, you will be requested to enter the 2fa code when you login, make a withdrawal request or reset your password/email.
Your open sessions (on tablet and pc) will not last forever and you will be logged out automatically sooner or later so don't count on that.
You better request resetting your 2fa codes. You will have to confirm this action via email and in the worst case you will have to confirm your identity. So nothing to worry about if you are the real owner of those accounts.
3493  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What can I do to safely use bitcoin on: March 27, 2021, 09:14:56 PM
I would recommend using Electrum. I've been using it for years and never had any problems with it. Just make sure you download it from the official website electrum.org and verify its signature.
The only advantage of Coinomi is that it supports different cryptocurrencies other than bitcoin. But as it's a closed source app, I would never recommend using it (unless you trust its developers, you should never use it).
3494  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [NOTICE] Large airdrop channel has been compromised with over 400k users on: March 27, 2021, 07:53:24 PM
The website is showing a new receiving address different from the one I got the last time I checked. I suppose they change it every 24 hours or so.

Honestly, I find it hard to believe they got hacked. I am not very familar with telegram but I think it shouldn't be that hard or take that long to recover a lost/hacked account.

Please re-read Charles-Tim's reply. There is a difference  between the coinbase app which is just a tool to access your coinbases's account and interact with it and the coinbase wallet app, a completely different product, which gives you full control over your wallets by allowing you to export their seeds (non-custodial).
You can read more about the difference between both of them from here:

I check the wallet on etherscan and it seems no transaction has occur or perhaps they are making random wallet daily, I will update the page if there's change pf wallet or an y information regarding the scammers.
I checked the website and I got the same eth address as the one on the screenshot you posted even after refreshing the web page few times. I guess they were too lazy to write few lines of code to generate a new address for each new visitor!!
According to etherscan, not a single transaction has been made to that address (till now) which is a good sign.
Also, it looks like they forgot to remove this notification from the channel's description:
Quote from: Airdrop6 description
Please beware of damn scammers.

Please remember that all airdrops tokens are completely free.

So, I guess/hope no one will fall for this scam.
