3481  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCpay Server: A Real e-Commerce Game Changer? on: March 25, 2022, 09:00:58 PM
Sorry for not replying to this earlier, you made some excellent observations which should be kept in mind when thinking about BTCPay Server or any other crypto payment system. You are absolutely right, software providing similar services can be found elsewhere and for business most probably the desire to at some stage to exchange crypto to fiat - there is no doubting that but businesses do evolve so in the future hopefully more online businesses will accept crypto and not feel the need to rush in to exchanging it for fiat.

For some new and existing businesses it might seem for them to make more sense of not paying $8.80 per month on Lunanode or even more money elsewhere and instead pay the commission to 3rd party payment processors in order to minimise outlay at least until the commission begins to exceed the outlay.

Having said that, the biggest obstacle I see standing before those wanting to test or implement a service such as BTCPay Server are the technical requirements. Many business service providers and retailers do not possess the technical know-how to install software using command line. They might be brilliant at selling and marketing but that does not mean they can use BTCPay Server. To be fair to them, it is so much easier for the uninitiated to use a plugin on their ecommerce cart.

BTCpay server has released v 1.4.4 and this release has various bugs fixed: https://github.com/btcpayserver/btcpayserver/releases

This service is not being used as widely as I would have hoped, probably because of the element of a certain level of technical skills required in order to install which many online sellers and traders may lack. The BTCpay server project has gone from strength to strength therefore I hope those alternatives give this a try because it will save on third-party transaction fees but it will have a small hosting cost.

Lunanode are still launching BTCpay server for clients at just $8.80 per month for anyone wanting to test how it works: https://launchbtcpay.lunanode.com/

And you can do it with any of the nodes in a box yourself. (raspiblitz, mynode, umbrel)

I think the biggest obstacle still is that most businesses need fiat. So they wind up converting most of crypto they take in to cash. With that in mind, it's easier to just use any of the crypto payment gateway services and have them do it for you.

We here on the forum are fringe cases and really like BTC / crypto in general. But for most businesses, it's just another way to get paid.

3482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: March 25, 2022, 08:43:38 PM
Has anybody ever really predicted which way the market will sway in 'x' month from now? The situation with the Ethereum price is not bad at all because as of writing it trades at over $3115 each. It is not at the $4891 all time high but it could have been a lot worse too. Those who might have purchased at $4000 will have very little impact influencing the price because they cannot be counted as whales and at the same time those you refer to as manipulators will also not be able to do anything to influence decisions by newbies to buy or sell.

I just do not accept the theory about influencers applies to Ethereum. In the past we have seen Bitcoin whales move funds from wallet to wallet or to cash some in which has impacted the market but I cannot recall of a single incident that has done the same for Ethereum. In my opinion, if the price of Ethereum goes up then the market will not be affected if newbies cash in because the ratio of newbie investors to serial investors is too small.

Now it is not clear which market, bulls or bears. I think that the bear market is now, because a lot of inexperienced investors bought Ethereum for more than $ 4,000 and manipulators need to force hamsters to sell their coins cheaply.  If the price of Ethereum goes up, then I don't understand who will pay for it?
I am trying to understand various scenarios, but I am more confident that manipulators will not allow new investors to sell their coins at a profit.
3483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FIFA World Cup 2022: Qualifying Games For Qatar on: March 25, 2022, 08:33:11 PM
Here are the results from the most recent games including today. Some have already ended and some will kick-off later therefore I have added the fixture list below the image:

DR Congo vs Morocco

Cameroon vs Algeria

Mali vs Tunisia

Egypt vs Senegal

Ghana vs Nigeria

Argentina vs Venezuela

I would expect Cameroon vs Algeria to be an entertaining game but without say the Egypt vs Senegal game will be viewed as another opportunity for Egypt to exact revenge on Senegal for losing in the AFCON 2022 final. For me these are the two games to look out for but I hope you have fun watching the Ghana vs Nigeria match  Smiley

I will try to post another time with the remaining results when the games have ended.

I am so interesting between Ghana vs Nigeria match today because during the AFCON the two team did not prove to their countries how strong they are because of the red card the two team got from the AFCON tournament that made them to lose their opportunity. Based on their performance during the AFCON tournament, show that Nigeria performed well than Ghana.
Nigeria players are well ready to win today match because most of their professional players are fully ready to battle with Ghana in their home. The match will end up 2:0 for the favour of Nigeria.

For your information, you misunderstood my post, I was not offended, not at all. And though he is a boxing legend Klitschko was not one of my favourite boxers but he dominated heavyweight boxing for a very long time and that means he should be respected. And yes you are right, Klitschko sent a lot of boxer to the canvas and without doubt he was great for huge durations of his long career.

Before losing to Fury and then Joshua he had a won:64 losses:3 record, therefore you saying he cried like a baby (when Joshua defeated him) was disrespectful to Klitschko as a man and as a professional boxer.

Klitschko was 41 years old and out of the ring for nearly 17 months but he almost won that fight against a 27 year old Joshua. Whichever way the fight is seen it is clear Klitschko did not cry like a baby when he fought Joshua.

What you wrote about Wladimir Klitschko is extremely disrespectful because he was 41 years old when he faced a 27 year old Joshua yet it took a momentous effort by Joshua which was barely enough to him to win.

I did not understand what you mean by my post being disrespectful. I did not mean to sound rude but only stated my observation. I like to say that any boxer defeated by TKO even if it is a single punch landing on the ribs or an uppercut that knocks the breath out of him is thoroughly beaten. Sorry if that offended you because Klitschko is one of your favorite boxer. But he also sent alot of boxers to the canvas. He was great during his boxing career too.

I do not know about others but I did not report that post to a moderator before therefore I added the link from FatFork for reference showing the plagiarism and reported the original post from "samputin". Let us give it a couple of days, maybe he will receive a temporary or permanent ban, maybe nothing will happen. If others also report the user for plagiarism then the chances of him getting a ban will hopefully increase.

Another long-inactive shitposter, as far as I can see. Most of his earned merits come from post that is mostly plagiarism.
I made a report here.
1 month later and the account is still alive and kicking. This situation kind of reminds me of Masplanc who was also reported for plagiarism and has never been banned to this day.

What is unfair is I have seen old legendary accounts get banned and never given any second chance when they tried to appeal for months and yet there seems to be more lenience towards scam promoters

Why call me a policeman or ask if I have ambitions of becoming a policeman? Is that your way of expressing sarcasm or throwing an insult in my direction? These are the comments you make just because I gave you appropriate negative trust?

If you feel fine and happy and can sleep well at night by promoting the 1xbit scammers then that is a matter for you but other members (there are 8 forum members including myself that gave you negative trust for issues ranging from you using a sold or hacked account to promoting a scam) have decided it would be better to highlight to others about your conduct and ethics. Is that really so difficult for you to understand?

The 1xbit website has too many scam allegations against it and it is being promoted via signature campaigns by some of the most questionable characters with multiple negative tags and by those who have the lowest quality posts and spams - that includes you. That speaks volumes about the situation.

I have added you to my ignore list after leaving appropriate negative trust for you. Your account was deep red long before I added my negative trust so mine will not matter too much to you but if the best you can do to cause financial damage and harm to forum members is to promote the 1xbit scammers then you have to be ready and prepared to receive appropriate trust.

If you get selected on the scam campaign will your financial gain really be above the losses that victims will sustain? You should re-evaluate your contributions to this forum.

3487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2021/2022 on: March 25, 2022, 03:07:27 PM
Thank you for correcting me you are not optimistic about Chelsea catching the top two teams. Like you I also see this simply as a two horse race between Manchester City and Liverpool but full credit to Liverpool for winning their games in hand and forcing Manchester City to panic after they closed the gap to just 1 point.

It was mentioned in the news about the UK government making some changes to their rules which will now allow Chelsea to sell tickets for home and away games in the Champions League but they will not be allowed to use the funds generated until their ownership situation is resolved. If things move along swiftly and Chelsea is sold by the UK government (and they keep all the money for themselves) before the start of next season then Chelsea can concentrate fully on playing football in Premier League and Champions League. Rumours circulating are that Tuchel might resign and some even suggest he might move to Old Trafford  Grin

You sound optimistic about Chelsea catching Liverpool or Manchester City if they drop points. Though not impossible I would say it is a task too far because there are only 9 games remaining. Finishing 3rd would be a good season for Chelsea.
Nope!! We are not able to catch hem. As I previously stated, we only had chances in late December and early January, but four extra draws more than Manchester City ruined our season, both Manchester City and Chelsea had the same amount of losses (3), it's already been a good season winning the Super Cup, the World Club Cup, the League Cup runner medal, the FA Cup Qrt final (on), the Champions League Qrt final (on), being sanctioned, and still 3rd in the league.

Manchester City and Liverpool as well as Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal had injury issues too but really they cannot be counted as justification or excuses for not performing well for most of the season.
When the injuries were bad, the FA postponed games for Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Tottenham. Only Chelsea and Manchester United had their appeals turned down, and we had only two players on the bench against Leeds and Watford.

I have not been active enough in this thread, I guess I would have been more inclined to update it with fixtures and tables and scores during the European teams playing. I missed updating a lot of games from the other regions such as Middle East, Far East and the Americas therefore thank you for the fixtures update and table.

I will try to update the rest of the tables and fixtures with a list of teams that have qualified.

From today's matches, in my opinion, the Uruguay - Peru match looks to be the most interesting. Both teams are fighting for a place awarded with direct promotion to the World Cup. If they win, Uruguay will be practically sure of this advance. I believe the hosts will not miss this opportunity and will beat the Peru team.

What you wrote about Wladimir Klitschko is extremely disrespectful because he was 41 years old when he faced a 27 year old Joshua yet it took a momentous effort by Joshua which was barely enough to him to win. You are wrong, Wladimir Klitschko was not beaten like a baby by Joshua, he got caught with a single punch that knocked him down (and that could happen to any fighter) but if you take Joshua at 30 years old in his prime and he was to fight a 30 year old Klitschko I have no doubt Joshua would be beaten.

As for Whyte, sure he has the hope of getting the one punch on an unguarded Fury but the most likely scenario is Fury will demolish Whyte.

Whether Fury fights Usyk or Joshua for the unified heavyweight belts, as far as I am concerned he will win because he is too superior a fighter, he is on a completely different level of fighting and technicality to his opponents.

Sometimes we leave room for surprises that can happen. While I believe Tyson Fury will beat Dillian Whyte hands down, anything that can cause an upset can happen. Once there was a Vladimir Klitschko who many thought could not be defeated at all. But he was beaten like a baby by Anthony Joshua as an underdog at a time. Fury can still face the same thing and be punished by Whyte. I can not wait to see what this fight comes up with. Am super excited that it will happen in less than 30 days from today.
3490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FOOTBALL: UEFA Champions League 2021/22 Season on: March 24, 2022, 01:32:24 PM
There problem for many big clubs in European competitions is that there are only so many teams that can get to a final (two teams), or semi-final (four teams), or quarter-final (eight teams) therefore some will ultimately fail to progress. This is the European competition all the clubs want to participate in and try to win. Even Guardiola with all the money backed by the UAE state has not won the Champions League.

When you have two big clubs, financially powerful and dominant in their leagues such as when Real Madrid played PSG in round 2 of the competition - one of them has to get knocked out - Real beat PSG over two legs. Barcelona were eliminated at the group stage and Manchester United was knocked out by a much smaller club in Atletico, things like that have to happen but it is a shock to see giants fall early in the competition.

I do not see Ronaldo playing for Manchester United next season unless they finish 4th in the Premier League because he will want Champions League football, that is simple, anything less than that would be (as you said) embarrassing. Messi will be there at PSG for another season at least and he is almost guaranteed Champions League next season with PSG,

Here are the next set of games taking place in the Champions League - they are the quarter-final fixtures:

Seeing big teams like Manchester United and PSG exit from the champions league is something very embarrassing, because the two world bests are in those teams,Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are the two figures that found themselves in those teams, and Ronaldo  playing Europa league is something  I see as embarassing to his personality, and the Europa spot is not yet guaranteed, because their is a fierce war in England between Arsenal,Tottenham,And Manchester United for the European spot.

Still defending the 1xbit scammers.... here is another account I had to temporarily remove from my ignore list because I was curious whether a reply was given to a victim and to see how the sock-puppets were defending the 1xbit scammers.

In short, if the security team do not even bother to reply to the victim because he has been selectively scammed then there is not much else he can do apart from visit this forum to complain. The last reply the 1xbit scammers made to the victim in the dedicated thread was on 18th March 2022 therefore asking in that thread after 6 days for a reply showed patience by the victim: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5266815.msg59594304#msg59594304

Are you crazy? I am waiting 3 months already for my account to be oppened and get back my money.
I have there deposited 500 usd in cryptocurecny and it is not ok to be stolen like that. That money are mine, and cannot be stolen like that because they can steal winnings, but why deposit of money to be stolen>? Iti s really not fair . Still not answer and still not able to login to my account and get back my money.

I'm not crazy. Support wrote that you should have information in your e-mail, if you didn't get anything, they forwarded your question to the security team. Bitcointalk is not an official way to sort things like this out, so it will definitely take more than a few days. You just need to be patient and you will surely get an official reply in the dedicated thread here: 1xBit.com Coming back to Bitcointalk, Solving all the issues.
Asking in this thread every day is not going to make it any faster.

https://talksport.com/sport/boxing/1071056/oleksandr-usyk-leaves-ukraine-anthony-joshua-rematch/

Usyk has joined the Kyiv Territorial Defence but has now left Ukraine to prepare training for his September 2022 fight against Joshua:

As far as in boxing terms, yes you are right it is positive news that he has been given permission to defend his heavyweight titles against Joshua after the Sports Minister authorised it but who knows how Usyk is feeling mentally? What is his frame of mind?

Thankfully I have never been in that sort of situation but Usyk must be mentally as weak or as strong as any other human being would be in his situation. He most probably is having some sort of guilt feeling because of him leaving military service during this period but at the same time can you imagine the euphoria and boost Ukrainians (both inside the country and in the international diaspora) would receive if the fight went ahead in London and Usyk was victorious again?

^^ So that is at least a very positive news that Usyk has been given a military excuse to leave and then train for the Joshua fight because we wanted to see the rematch.

But we don't know how Usyk mentality is, I mean he has his country at war, with his families inside. So hopefully he can train 100% and focus on Joshua.

I had to temporarily remove you from my ignore list in order to post. Look, the tactic of causing delays by semi-acknowledging an allegation of any complaint (to then ignoring or addressing any follow-up) is something you have been doing for a very long time. What exactly is your role within the 1xbit scam?

Are you just a forum user that created an account to manage the 1xbit signature campaign and to handle their public posting or are you someone that was employed by the 1xbit scammers and then moved on to this forum as their representative? If you were employed beforehand you should be in a much stronger position to relay messages to victims when they post their complaints.

If on the other hand you are effectively a nobody within the 1xbit scam and you just get paid to post messages in order to delay dealing with victims claims then at least let them know so they can keep that in mind when they try to get their stolen funds returned to them.

The above user claimed to have been scammed out of $500 in crypto. What exactly are you as an individual and 1xbit as a website going to do about it?

For the sake of clarity, are you operating both forum accounts?

The OP has been updated. There are now 120 forum members with a ~tilde next to their names. They are promoting the 1xbit scammers via their signature campaign or have applied to join but were unsuccessful, or they have in some way managed to spread propaganda to support the 1xbit scammers by trying to defend the accusations against them.

Most probably some are alt-accounts created to support the 1xbit scammers whereas some are hacked/sold/stolen accounts. Others are from the same group of farmed accounts that were operated by the Adkinsbet puppeteer as was listed here and most of the names have been connected with the 1xbit scammers: Adkinsbet Shills & Sock-Puppets: "Slender/Slander" and "Donk"  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5313867.0

Either way any and all accounts that are connected with promoting a known scam will be tagged.

You sound optimistic about Chelsea catching Liverpool or Manchester City if they drop points. Though not impossible I would say it is a task too far because there are only 9 games remaining. Finishing 3rd would be a good season for Chelsea.

Think about it, if Chelsea did not have several injuries around Christmas period then would have had more points on the table. I think had they continued to be on the same level as before the injuries they would be challenging Manchester City and Liverpool for the Premier League title. Right now it is difficult to assess their success or failure because the season has not ended but let us say for argument sake Chelsea finish 3rd in the league and are in the finals of the Champions League (runners-up/losing finalists or winners) then it has to be classes a successful season considering the powerful display by Manchester City and Liverpool this season.

Manchester City and Liverpool as well as Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal had injury issues too but really they cannot be counted as justification or excuses for not performing well for most of the season.

Another thing to note is the chase for 3rd and 4th is not over yet either. Unless Chelsea suffer a series of draws and defeats they will end the season in 3rd place and play with Manchester City and Liverpool in the Champions League next season but the 4th place finish is something that Arsenal and Tottenham have made exciting.

I believe Chelsea were unlucky this season because they had the chance to win the league in January but a series of injuries and covid19 crises really messed up our chances. While other matches were postponed, Chelsea were still playing matches because our opponents were covid19 free, we were choked with cup fixtures and league matches while other clubs were resting, at some point we started having a series of draws, the game at Leeds and the loss at Watford hurt us so much, we were on top on the league, we cannot afford to lose third place. Only four more draws separated us from Liverpool and Manchester City in terms of points.
3496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Rematch - JOSHUA vs USYK II (updated thread) on: March 23, 2022, 09:22:27 PM

The latest news in the media from the Usyk camp is that he has departed from Ukraine earlier today after being given permission to leave military service. It will be an emotional moment for him to leave his country while in a state of war but he is a professional boxer and an elite international sportsman, not a soldier.

For all those wondering whether the rematch with Joshua would be going ahead, it is. I also had some doubts about it but Usyk will fight Joshua at Tottenham Hotspur stadium in September 2022: https://www.the-star.co.ke/sports/boxing/2022-03-24-usyk-to-prepare-for-joshua-rematch-after-gaining-permission-to-leave-ukraine--espn/

Votes in Poll: 32
Fury win: 29
Whyte win: 3
Draw: 0

Currently under 10% of the votes are for Whyte to win this fight. If he wins it will be a massive upset against Fury who is the odds on favourite to win. There are just 32 votes in the poll, I hope the number increases as we nearer the fight date.

I stand by my earlier views Fury will unify all the heavyweight belts and will make at least one successful defence before he retires as unbeaten champion.

I also expected that most of the people here in the forum are in the side of Tyson Fury rather than Dillian Whyte and just like me, I'm rooting that Tyson Fury will win this fight despite the huge difference in power these two boxers have. Either way, we will see what would be the result in this fight from exactly 1 month from now but I doubt that this the last fight of the Gypsy King, he's just bluffing Grin
Why would this be his last fight whether he wins or loses? However unlikely, if he loses against Whyte he will activate the rematch clause and probably be motivated enough to win it. If he wins against Whyte (as is almost universally expected) then his next fight will be a big money fight against the winner of the Usyk vs Joshua fight. Either way there is no reason for him to retire.

Maybe many judge because Tyson Fury is the best in the current heavyweight era and another reason because looking at his record and rankings, Tyson Fury is much better than Dillian Whyte.
And I think he is guaranteed a win against anyone in his weight class because he is still the best, and yes we will see who wins because the vote stats are the result of their research and judgment.
I agree that he is almost guaranteed to beat anybody, that is hard to disagree with because his biggest threat was from Wilder but Fury demolished him twice. Joshua will probably be defeated by Usyk if the rematch goes ahead in June 2022.

Whether Fury fights Usyk or Joshua for the unified heavyweight belts, as far as I am concerned he will win because he is too superior a fighter, he is on a completely different level of fighting and technicality to his opponents.

While we all wait for the next set of games to take place (which are on 2nd April 2022), here is the current Premier League table. I think it is clear Liverpool will not be giving up the chase on Manchester City after they had that emphatic win at Arsenal. For me, it was unexpected because I posted before the game I thought Arsenal would win the game.

Both have played 29 games but Liverpool are just 1 point behind leaders Manchester City now, that is a massive compliment to Klopp for keeping Liverpool in the correct mindset and never giving up.

Arsenal bounced back from the home defeat to Liverpool by winning away at Villa while Spurs won away at Brighton and then at home to West Ham. Manchester United have now have very little chance to catch Arsenal in 4th but it is not impossible. Well done to Arteta and Conte for challenging Manchester United for the 4th place finish.

At the foot of the table, Everton beat Newcastle to give themselves 3 points of breathing space above the relegation zone and they have the comfort of 2 games in hand over 18th placed Watford. It is still too close to say whether Everton and Leeds are out of reach but things will be clearer after the next set of games.
