Wallet wont sync, copied the .conf into my appdata and still stuck at no block source available, ideas?

I heard about this recently and decided to give it a try. The profitability charts looked really nice, for example. Anyway, here's my 24-hour review of Hash Cows vs. Litecoin. I'm going to keep it going for another day, but so far things aren't looking all that good compared to other mining options. I must say I can tell you took the time to write-up a good review, too bad it didn't sound too good for us! In response, you have been mining here for two days which really isn't an accurate or fair assessment of the pool. We are having issues with coin switches (which you stated in the review) which is causing our stratum to get stuck and even in cases go down for 3 hours per day. We are aware of this issue and hopefully will have some good news on it in the immediate future. Like others have said one way to put a patch on the problem is to download a previous version of CgMiner which doesn't have the 5 minute failover. If you do leave and you are not satisfied, I invite you to come back when things are fixed up and give us a longer test period. The pool has been pretty stable for the last 2 months and of course with everything in life there will be small hiccups, I know everything seems bleak right now as we have had two days of issues though we can assure you better days are ahead.

its never had an impact on your actual payouts.
Being disconnected for hours at a time will certainly affect the payout... Please re-read what he said and then you can retract your statement "One thing to keep in mind, is that despite the craziness with the estimates, its never had an impact on your actual payouts."

I have 850,000nxt coins for sale. Will throw in a nice bonus for whoever buys taking offers here or PM me. I'll use escrow or you can send first, I have made trades on here and run hashco.ws

We have been working non stop to fix the few issues we are seeing with stratum and the estimates.
I will say this time and time again multipool, auto-trading pools will see huge variance in payouts, due to so many factors. The whole point of this pool is you have the option to keep the coin and trade it for BTC, this will usually result in better results, though if you want to be lazy and auto trade the coins expect great pay out days where we crush the return on LTC, days where we are about even with LTC, and even a few days right below LTC. Though currently if you were to farm LTC you get ~$11.60 a day, we have been more profitable than that by far lately.
So even with our current problems, you are still seeing pretty decent returns. It's not a cover up or an excuse I'm just stating hang in there while we work to better the payouts and you're whole experience with hashcows.

Stratum back up, me n nearmiss sleep, things break what's new. Anyways there is a obvious problem here that keeps happening so make sure you have failovers ready until nearmiss can awake from his beauty sleep to pin point the problem.
I am back to sleep.

I started having problems with disconnects today, been mining for a few weeks and never had any problems until today. Set a backup server and it seems to be hitting that fairly often not able to determine if its when coin switches occur or not. I'll take a closer look at it tomorrow.
You might be right, disconnects seem to be a little longer some rounds, we are going to take a look at it tomorrow (we are exhausted and need some sleep) to see if certain coins are getting hung up somewhere.

disconnected at 7:31 PM... both workers.. switched to backup pool. anything in your logs ?
Yep, exactly when we switched coins, for now, cginer 3.5 and older I believe is the best temp fix until a second stratum comes up.

Odd, both are using which version of cgminer? The newer versions have a 5 minute switch back from failover. Though if you are using the older versions, please try to keep track when these disconnects happen. We did restart stratum about 2 hours ago (was down for 30 seconds or so) but idk if that is what caused the issue or not.

ok about the payout. what about the fact that the pool gets disconnected every couple of mins
Hmm? I'm having no such issue's, What's the problem? And we have addressed that a second stratum is coming soon to reduce downtime

IMPORTANT NEWS:
Round Estimates and Exchanged/Unexchangd balances are currently broken. This has no affect on earnings or on your btc payout. Everyone is receiving the credit for the coins they should be. However don't be alarmed if you see 0's for 'My Est. Earnings' in the stats table, or if your Exchanged/Unexchanged balances don't change. You will all get the btc you've earned regardless of these numbers, at the usual payout time. We are working on a solution and it will be fixed soon.
Figured I would re-post this as I've gotten numerous PM's about the estimates. The Payout will NOT be affected from this. We continue to better the way things are on the site for a more friendly user experience, of course these things take time so just be patient with us as we do just that!

Also the second stratum is in the works as we speak. I don't want to promise a ETA but I can tell you pretty soon.

Would those last few blocks so close to payout cause a low payout? Or was today just bad luck?
With 600KH/s I was seeing about .01BTC/day.
Today with 900KH/s I was paid out .0078BTC.
Doesn't quite make sense.
With multipools and auto exchanging payouts aren't static, there will be up and down days. Though it didn't help today that we were down for a few hours and in general was a slower day. We do have a little bit that was un-exchanged that will carry over of course.

Repost for the new page:
Quick update: - Estimated Unexchanged and Confirmed Exchanged values currently broken while we work on re-tweaking them on the backend.

FYI I was getting 5-10% rejects with the cows, had to switch over for the time being. Might want to do something about coins which we have a high reject rate with, otherwise communicate it that 'even though there are a lot of rejects, it's still more profitable' type of thing..
This thread is quite long but we have stated it a few times, we do hit these coins with a "penalty" when calculating profitability. So even with the high reject its still good. (EX. FST is hit with a 25/30% penalty)

Hello, im new here, i just started mining here yesterday. is this rejected % normal? worker.1 = ATI 7970 worker.2 = ATI 7850 The kh in the pool is normally correct (in the print screen is a little low) but the rejected % is really high right? Do i have problems with my configurations or something? That look's extremely high though maybe you took the SS right after a coin switch to something with a high reject % (like FastCoin) Though if some of the more pro miners have some tips for you, I'm sure they can help you out

Quick update: -Est/confirmed exchanged #'s will be innacurate for a bit, while we continue to work on tweaking them on the back-end. -SXC is indeed very profitable but round #5166 was thrown off by 2 stuck orders way above the current price. Though as you can see at current CORRECT prices it's profitability is over 140.

When do you guys decide to stop the round and when do you start trading? Shouldn't you trade right away as blocks mature, to make sure you don't miss out on profitability. Doesn't make sense to wait till another coin is more profitable to start selling. Am i missing something? We attempt to trade right after the block matures and attempt to trade many times throughout the day
