Struggles tailor real men (and women)...
True, and also correct that most successful people today have had their fair share of hardship at some point in their lives, some situations more serious than others.. A popular saying is what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, in the case of Victor, all the difficult situations he has said he passed through and the experiences he has had, are all what has turned him into the man he is today.

I think it's time for Solskjaer to be replaced.

It's what most Manchester United supporters have been screaming. The most terrible defending i've seen today from Manchester United, I've always said with Manchester United, there's a potential for them to score goals, but no assurance to defend against goals. Imagine supporters of Manchester United having gotten excited at the prospect of winning the title this season with addition of CR7 to the team, only to be getting mediocre performances, they need to be apologized to lol.
3483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: October 16, 2021, 03:43:39 PM
A convincing and brilliant performance win by Liverpool with Salah scoring a beautiful goal as usual with his sparkling display week in week out, with Firminho also scoring a hatrick equally earning him player of the match Liverpool remain unstoppable and unbeaten now in EPL.

I've never doubted Liverpool's prowess in front of goal, i've always seem them as one of the contenders for the title this season again, and they always show their ability with every passing game and prove me right. Mo' Salah is an exceptional footballer, the Ronaldo and Messi type i must say.

Manchester United on the other hand is just being a bunch of disappointment for every supporter of the club, very quality players, but poor team performance, it will be a miracle if they can win Leicester
3484  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Muslims and the use of alcohol based substances, how do the rules work? on: October 16, 2021, 06:05:02 AM
Alcohol suppresses the release of glutamate and binds to GABA receptors inhibiting neuronal signaling.

Sounding like a Biochemist, very correct. When consumed in excess and frequently, it can also affect the production of ATP in the body (that is reduced energy).

This is strange because I get to see Muslims who drink beverages with alcohol in them but they do not drink it in public places.
True, in a state in my country where Sharia law is still practiced, not like you are permitted, but you can go buy an alcoholic drink, but you can not consume it in public places only in your house, at your privacy.

Just like every other religion, there are those who fully practice all the doctrines, there are those that select which to follow, so i find it normal.

1; DO your research properly for any crypto you want to invest in.

How can one be certain that he or she has properly done their research on a crypto they want to invest in?  Sometimes if you really plan on HODLing for a long period, i think its best you pitch your investment under already existing strong projects that are popular among majority of investors, stack investments up and keep HODLing.

3488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you quit Bitcoin if a shitcoin like Ethereum surpassed it? on: October 14, 2021, 08:53:45 PM
However, if we think of altcoins like ethereum replacing bitcoin, i think the rate would be 5/10 because their own prices are very much apart. But if its really bound to happen in the future, then we can do nothing about it. I will still prioritize bitcoin because i know how promising it is ...

If ever this near impossible situation occurs, It will be completely unwise and a show of no professionalism to just dump/quit all bitcoins that I have been gathering and keeping for a long time just like that especially when i know that the crypto market is unpredictable and unstable. As long as volatility remains, an experienced crypto user knows that prices always fluctuate and to just follow after numbers without proper analysis is very unsafe for their portfolio.
3489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Musk the boss behind SHIB? on: October 13, 2021, 02:48:21 PM
You can say Elon's cryptic tweet had an influence on SHIB, but i doubt that he is the boss behind it. A friend told me about SHIB before the pump, but i ignored it so i didn't profit from the pump. There's was a dip after the pump and i jumped on it hoping it pumps again and breaks the resistance it met during the last pump. Since SHIB has already the attention of Elon, another cryptic or plain tweet about SHIB may cause another pump, it's something you may like to HODL for a while with close observation.
3490  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your thoughts about Bitcoin in years to come on: October 13, 2021, 01:16:37 PM
But to finally establish itself with the regulators, change the legislation, which is poorly developed in the field of cryptocurrencies, and also interest the majority of the population in bitcoin, it takes time.
Yes, a lot of time indeed. There are still many major issues and challenges hindering global adoption of cryptocurrency. The percentage of persons aware and conversant with cryptocurrency cannot even equate the percentage that are unaware. For the time factor, cryptocurrency has just been in existence from 2009, from then till the present (2021) is roughly just 12 years, that's too small a time frame for cryptocurrency to be able to push out the traditional fiat that has been in existence for a much longer period. IMHO, anyone who believes that cryptocurrency will quickly soon completely replace the traditional fiat is just being delusional and unrealistic. It has to gain global acceptance and adoption first. Hence, my thoughts about bitcoin in the years to come is that it will soon, Slowly but definitely be accepted and adopted by every country of the world.
3491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: have you ever play or won from a crypto exchange lottery? on: October 13, 2021, 03:43:01 AM
I have never won because i have never played a crypto lottery, i am personally not so much in on lotteries. Formerly i have heard of persons who won the traditional lotteries, but at the moment in this stage as the world is economically and otherwise with most persons an organisations trying to make more money than they give out, i see most promises to win some money from an online platform either through lotteries or bonuses as crypto or traditional fiat as empty promises to lure users to their platform to generate traffic.
3492  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stuck between two decision on: October 13, 2021, 03:08:19 AM
I have a good paying job that comes with lots of incentives I have been working here for quite some time now but my issue is that this job is very much demanding and my boss is very strict. I barely have time to rest and for now I can't afford to quit because it's just the key source of livelihood for me.

In this economy, not so many jobs still have the description of a "good paying job". If you have one that helps you get through this economy and handle your responsibilities effectively, please try to make a meaning out of it (don't rush into quiting to nothing yet), don't let your boss who is probably trying to frustrate you (probably doing it to others as well), don't let him win. There's a popular saying that - "the devil you know is better than the angel you know nothing about",  meaning if quiting and getting a new job is in the thought list, there is no assurance that the other boss you will have will be any better, if not worse.

How long would it take to master a course in Blockchain development and is it a good option for someone who choose to take up a career in tech?
Since you are already considering this say part-time with your job till you can get on your foot, it's a good option, but before you proceed be sure to have a self assessment time to be certain that you have an interest that can sustain a career. You have to be sure of your options so you are not thrown into regrets.
3493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Wilder III - THE TRILOGY IS BACK ON !!! on: October 12, 2021, 06:31:35 AM

The first thing Wilder should do is to have a good rest. He shouldn't be thinking about boxing for at least 5 months. He needs to recover. A lot. He's badly beaten emotionally. He needs to enjoy other things outside boxing. As soon as he gets back, he should have already accepted his defeats. Failing to accept them will only make him lose more.

Wilder's next fights shouldn't be title fights. But he's got a lot of choices. There's Joshua, Whyte, Pulev, Ruiz, and others.

There are reports were it was confirmed that Wilder has gotten a bone in his hand, fingers/knuckles broken from the fight, probably out of trying to ensure that he hits hard, and knocks Fury down, so definitely, he will have to be out and rest for a while for a full recuperation.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.standard.co.uk/sport/boxing/deontay-wilder-hospital-broken-hand-tyson-fury-b959832.html%3famp

-Wilder still deserves some recognition, it is not easy to face an opponent that you know is a superb fighter like fury, and even after many direct punches, still was willing to see it through to the end. He really did his best as we saw a considerable improvement from the last fight, and even Fury could confirm that his punches were harder than before.  He is a strong boxer and even with his loss, i don't think many other boxers are in his category and can fight him.

Andy Ruiz has also made his intentions known of his interest to fight Fury for his WBC belt, not at the moment definitely, but after he has fully recovered from the surgery he underwent.

E be like the place cold small o. How una dey na, i say make i pip weather i go see small something for the naija wise quote but, e be like something hold us for leg small. Anyhow na, make i throway something make carry commot cold.

Proverb:
As e be for the Pighin; my people say, "e don tai i see you or you come, better pass you too dey come".
Meaning: Don't make yourself so readily avialable all the time, it devalues you. Be scares and missed at certain times, it adds to the way you carry yourself and the way your viewed/valued by people around you.

Omo brother the place cold nor be small, as i even enter here today, cobweb dun enter my eye sake of say activity nor too dey dey the room again like before. Wetin dey sup really?

@smartvirus, your proverb na ogbonge wisdom for the street. E nor too dey good to dey always dey available sometimes, e dey bring over familiarity and see finish.

For my side dem dey talk say na because say "Garri too dey dey house, nai make dem dey call am poor man food." Na the same English meaning e get with your proverb, make person try dey dey scare, so see finish nor go dey, very importantly.
3495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 11, 2021, 12:16:24 AM
I think PSG knows about the loss and they are knowingly taking the risk and hoping that Mbappe changes his decision and signs the contract extension and that is why they did not accepted those bids for a player who is on the edge of his contract.
I think Mbappe's move out of the club is inevitable, if not to Real Madrid, definitely another club. But after watching today's Nation League final match (France vs Spain), and seeing the chemistry in play between Mbappe and Benzema, I'm convinced that if Mbappe pulls through for Real Madrid and moves to the club, it will be massive for the club his combination with his fellow countryman Benzema and also for his self development.
3496  Other / Off-topic / Re: ⚽ Ballon d'or 2021 - 30 Left - 29 November 2021⚽ on: October 10, 2021, 11:26:50 PM

My favorites are Benzema and Mohamed Salah.Karim Benzema is a great player with great contribution for Real Madrid(even though I don't like Real Madrid).

If we are to say that the Ballon d'or is not a popularity contest and truly it is given to most deserving in terms of titles and cups won, IMHO Benzema should be top runner to win this Ballon d'Or having a world cup medal and Nations League medal to his name. Benzema is on a fantastic form and has performed and scored against big teams, he deserves to be recognised.
3497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: October 10, 2021, 11:03:20 PM
Yes really nice performance from spain in the first half but they are mostly young players they lack experience ...
We really cannot compare the experience and quality of players in the starting eleven of teams likes France, Germany, Italy etc with that of spain at the moment. Regardless with the fantastic dominant football coaching style of Luis Enrique, I think their performance was still good even though they played without some of their top defenders and strikers, and that they can also be an upset for any other team, play in big games and even contend for the world cup.

Big congratulations to the French side. Smiley
3498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How did you learn to trade? Did you learn it in a hard way or?...... on: October 10, 2021, 07:15:16 PM
Learning hasn't stopped for me when it comes to trading, we keep learning everyday. But so far to this point that i am now, all i know about trading was learnt the hard way. There were no mentors or teachers that guided me with their experiences personally through learning. I made mistakes and learnt somethings along the way of trading. I wouldn't advice anyone nee to follow in my steps and learn on your own, it may cause you losses that you may not be able to recover from.
3499  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Plandemic Survey] I wonder how many of you have been vaccinated ? on: October 10, 2021, 10:19:58 AM
I'm not yet vaccinated. There's a health center around me where the vaccine is given for free now, but i've not been there to receive it. It's not because I have something against it, but because i haven't seen a need to yet. I think most persons who have something against being vaccinated are being hypocrites to some extent, because if really there was something that you've been waiting for a while like say a travel permit to another country and its a requirement that you get vaccinated, most people will.
3500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Wilder III - THE TRILOGY IS BACK ON !!! on: October 10, 2021, 07:22:18 AM
Unlike the AJ and Usyk fight where both boxers showed respect for each other, this Fury vs Wilder fight had a lot of bad blood between, that's why you notice that it was a really very aggressive fight between the two, and also the refusal of wilder to congratulate Fury by shaking hands after the fight. The Gypsy king continues with his impressive record after beating Wilder in his best, he now has 31 wins out of 32 fights, 21 knockouts and 1 draw. The KO win at the 11th round is convincing enough for wilder not to have an excuse or even want a rematch again (if it were possible).
