3481  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a place in the world you could live like a king via sig campaigns? on: March 17, 2022, 11:46:49 AM
My question is whether there's any place on earth where $1500/week could allow five roommates to live very comfortably--perhaps not as boss-like as I described above, but maybe at least the big house and property.

Yes, there are lot of places and i will like to use Africa as a case study. West African countries are known to be a fast developing region in Africa and to be able to sustain an average livelihood of about five family members as i will give a breakdown of the situation in the region first.

In West Africa, it is believed that their economy is above average in stability, their currency is below the standard USD, cost of living is less, there is peace stability, stable power supply, good network access in specific regions, access to luxury life, accessible road and serene environment, moderate weather conditions and absence of natural disasters.

With $1500/weekly earnings one can easily make a good living with 5 people all together in West Africa, the first step is to make a currency conversion of $1500 by the worth of 1$ to their local currency, using Nigeria as an example, $1=#560 and 1500x560=#840,000 per week which is good enough to make a living for a whole complete month in Nigeria together with the 5 household members after feeding and paying house rent, about #300,000 will still be left, base on my living experience there.

Secondly, one can choose to save up for about two months, come to West Africa, convert the $ into their local currency, buy a land, build a house, and furnish the house considering location to accessible network frame and water which are part of essentials to your good living over there as a good network is needed to continue your online forum campaign and water for a good sign of living.

In a nutshell, going by the economy of a region, cost of living, their currency value to USD, one can easily make a plan to live comfortably with such earnings from a signature campaign. Lastly, another consideration is in the ability of the person being able to know how to manage things, set priority and ability to maximize effective use of resources.

TIPS NEEDED IN IDENTIFYING A FAKE WEB ADDRESS

The rate of increasing online social media scam is alarming this days by using fake or imposting a particular web address in other to deceive users into their trap thereby creating a  similarly identical web address to the original one claiming ownership in other to lure users into their fraudulent acts, i will be talking specifically about steps and procedures needed in Identifying a fake web address from the discussions below.

Verification of web address:
It is very important to know the correct url to the intended website to visit, check if this is misspelled or altered, e.g mcdonald.com can be changed to mcd0nald.com while another means is by altering into the web domain extension such as mcdonald.com to be altered with mcdonald.org

Verification of the site seal:
This is done to be rest assured that the site to be visited is authentic and not fake as it tends to reveal information about the site and any seal that does not display informational content tend to be a fake seal and can be a suspicious sign to a fake web address

You should look beyond the lock by clicking on it once to reveal more information. For the highest level of authentication, if you click on the lock it will display “Issued to: [Company Name]” underneath “Certificate (Valid).” Unfortunately, this functionality only currently works on desktop browsers. But whether you’re on a mobile browser or desktop, the principles of looking beyond the lock to verify if a website is secure remain the same.
https://www.digicert.com/blog/how-to-identify-fake-websites

Confirm the Lock sign
This is a sign that guaranteed data encryption on the website using TLS and lock are of three types namely:
Extended validation lock: this is used for higher security level by advance businesses and organizations
Domain validation lock: this verify the domain ownership
Organization validation lock: this Authenticate business registration with a regulatory body.

A browser is design to give a warning sign that the site about visited is not secured if the lock sign is found missing but it is also good to note that having the lock sign doesn't guarantee the site is not fraudulent or cannot be termed as fake site.

Run a check on the web Address
Verify through a proxy validator otherwise known as website checker is used in verifying site validaty and vulnerabilities it may have. Other means is by running through their privacy and policy check and their online reviews while importantly, whenever you come across such a fake web address "give it a total negligence" by avoiding it.

Punycode Phishing Attack

Punycode is said to be the translation of characters that are symbols, non alphabetic or letters from any non English origin to appear to be in English letters in other to stage a malicious domain for an attack, they make use of a Cyrillic or Homograph character to appears like the exact alphabetic in your address in other to blend it along and launch users into their trap for an attack, they mostly targeted at stealing user's password and data after getting access through.

An example of a secured web address will indicate this:

Example of Punycode attack: a good and updated browser will detect the presence of Homograph

Protection Against Punycode Attack

This Punycode Attack can be minimize and this lies on individuals responsibility by not:

1. Avoid clicking on phishing mails, links, ads and apps that look suspiciously enough for a malicious Attack.

2. Ensure to make use of standard and updated browsers like safari google chrome and internet explorer while firefox along other browsers are not recommendable for use at all as they tend to develop a weaker ability to detect Homograph character on browsers effectively except its been activated from the browser's settings to function by the user.

An unsecured browser will display this option:

source

At the site of this, its a warning signal that a malicious  Punycode attack has been detected and such user is expected to back off and "never continue".

Redirect Detective

This is used to verify address that redirect users into another thing entirely, users will wanted to test or get a proof to authenticate the address and most are found with short and suspicious address, they can be verify here: https://redirectdetective.com/ by adding the (+) plus sign at the end of the address.

The United Kingdom Visa Application Centre (VAC) in Nigeria have temporarily suspended the processing of UK Visa under the category of family, work and study Visa Application for Nigerian citizens, this is as a result of giving more priority to Ukraine family scheme Visa Application which was recently launched as a result of the ongoing invasion of Russia to Ukraine.

UK Visas and Immigration is currently prioritising applications made under the Ukraine Family Scheme, following its launch and in response to the humanitarian crisis arising from the invasion of Ukraine

All Priority Visa Application has been suspended except for health and emergency situation which must  be  indicated as under companionate application and  extra service charge can precede such application. This is truly one of the ways we express concern through a supportive move in helping Ukraine out of it current situation as UK and Nigeria not minding it cost synergies in helping Ukraine families relocation scheme for safety in UK.

I have come to full appreciate the innovation of Bitcoin and Blockchain that has opened the door to decentralization. A peer-2-peer network system where everyone is protecting their interest through a consensus mechanism. If it must work we all must make it work kind of mindset. A system where everyone needs each other to keep the vision growing.

This is quite motivating, it feels good being amidst people you can relent on, trust and believe every spoken words of their mouth, this also serve as a lesson to us all that after being a active member of this unique forum, we are not expected to join the world of all manners of fraudulent activities, because you cant be in this forum and remain the same way you came.

Satoshi really saw the future of mankind and taught of this innovation

Satoshi has done his part and the impact remains, it is left on us too in deciding what footprints are we leaving behind for generations to come

1. Plagiarism: I really like this forum for taking time to find out copy and post (paste) users. I, Being in this forum and not involving myself in plagiarism will also help me in my academic activities.

Avoid paraphrasing as well, its synonymous to plagiarism

there are some commas, full Stops and buts (errors) in my writings and some people correct me in my English both the "the titles and the bodies.

Always ensure you proofread before making a post in case of typographical errors and make use of dictionary in words your not sure of.

3. Criticism and correction: most people criticized me and correct me again.. Criticism make me have an Eagle feathers (very strong).

At some point in time we all pass through criticism but as you've said it makes one strong and also sometimes, critics are not your haters but your hidden admirers that love to see you doing good and perfection at all times.

https://coingape.com/ukraine-to-create-nft-museum-to-symbolize-russias-invasion-of-the-country/?utm_source=thecryptoapp

Ukraine is set to create a monument of remembrance as it is committed to launch a Non Fungible Token (NFT) "Museum" in other to make history on how Russia launch an invading attack on their beloved country "Ukraine" using the NFT as a symbol of remembrance, This was a statement made by Deputy Minister of Digital transformation in Ukraine.

Quote
According to Alex, each NFT will be gotten from reports made by trusted news outlets concerning the war. These NFTs will contain unique pieces of art from those selected stories, obtained from “trusted sources”.

This come as a result of various opinions obtained during a congress meeting in appreciation to numerous donations worth about $100 million received from across the world on the official crypto wallet address of Ukraine. personally it also excites me seeing this and how they come about arriving on creating NFT from the start of airdrops.

3492  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Share your costly lesson about cryptocurrency.. on: March 14, 2022, 12:26:54 PM
One of the costly lessons i learnt so far in this crypto journey was when i diverted a proposed fund for a project into crypto project (ICO) with the help of someone whom i met recently and found him to be living next to our neighborhood, he told me that within a little space of time i will realize 3x of my investment if i can take the boldness and never told me the other side of it, my believe was 100%optismistic about what am about to realize.

I gave the guy the money to help me as I don't know much about Cryptocurrency then, and he did it but after two weeks, i begin to notice his relationship with me isn't as before, i will have to call him, ask about the project and when am expecting to cashout without knowing he's avoiding me gradually untill he stop picking my calls, i went to his house he keep postponing my cashout untill i can't bear it anymore. Later i got to know that the project he did was a scam or he intentionally scammed me by not giving me my share.

Lessons learnt:

If i had known how to do it then, i couldn't have fall a victim, imagine me diverting a fund meant for something else into crypto project i dont even know or research about. What you dont know will definitely cost you.

3494  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: E-naira and Crypto currency on: March 14, 2022, 11:25:46 AM
E-naira is the conversion of the Nigerian Currency to digital currency for online transactions.

Crypto currency was introduced in Nigeria in the year 2008 https://guardian.ng/technology/tech/the-idea-and-a-brief-history-of-cryptocurrencies/ and the youths were very happy to use it for trading but the government asked all the banks to close crypto accounts in the country.

The reasons of the ban:

1. Most youths used the currency to scam people.

2. The fiat currency was neglected by the youths for their business activities.

https://techcabal.com/2021/02/08/why-the-central-bank-of-nigeria-banned-crypto-accounts/

So, Bitcoin was banned and e-naira (Nigeria digital currency) was introduced to take over crypto currency but ironically, till date, most Nigerians don't even know the e-naira and if some does, they are very few.

The most reason for the ban is that the government want to have control over the system and be regulated by it but the major goal of Satoshi is to let individual have freedom over their finances as the level of trust on the government and commercial banking sectors is breach in terms of security and privacy.

Nigerians government introduced the first cbdc in Africa and think it will divert the youths from bitcoin. Also know that the government does not ban cryptocurrency in Nigeria, it only ban the financial institutes from carrying out transactions in bitcoin.
3495  Economy / Economics / Re: What if Russia economy grows higher after the war on: March 14, 2022, 11:09:47 AM
What will happen if at the end Russia succeed in her conquest against Ukraine and take over the economy of Ukraine. That will extend the economic power of Russia no doubt and that will make Russia more powerful.

How will EU and NATO countries relate with Russia if that happens ?

Who are the allies to be identified with Russia? As at now every businesses, companies and organizations were departing the country and no one has come out boldly to make a stand with Russia, meaning that all that Putin is doin is unethical and not tolerated by any culture or continent, it is believed to be an act of massacre, even the millitary that goes into war always have a plan of rescue of the innocent citizens, females and young ones.
3496  Economy / Economics / Re: Putin is trying to coerce firms into doing business or else... on: March 14, 2022, 11:02:30 AM
Is this a live threat or what... If business operations are not open then sending their representative to jail is the solution? I strongly believe Putin is upto something in this regards, but if should in case its just an ordinary threat to lives and properties then i think the citizens will suffer a great havoc of poverty and hunger for years before they can begin to recover.

Now that the Russians bitcoin investors are going out of the country to seek for better settlement elsewhere is an indication of something terrible and stinky is about to unveil in Russia and those that quickly sensed it has taken a drastic step for an alternative but the poor will suffer this, only few ones will be able to make it out to another country and as the rate of emigration is high he may place embargo on leaving the country. I pray this man does not initiate the third world war.
3497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The most reliable coin to invest in is Bitcoin. on: March 14, 2022, 10:39:58 AM
Hello.

I have been investing in Bitcoin as well as other coins for a long time. Some of these coins have disappointed me. After reviewing investments so far, I have found that investing in Bitcoin is the smartest thing. Although the price of Bitcoin has dropped a lot, this coin does not disappoint me because I have full confidence in this coin. I think and believe that the price of this currency will not decrease for a long time, it will one day exceed its maximum value. Which happened towards the end of 2021.

To be frank you have to understand the principle of volatility in bitcoin, meaning the price can not be fix, or only maintain going high alone, this is part of the equilibrium law of economics it follows.

Secondly bitcoin is the first digital cryptocurrency and maintain the first number in every aspect, possibly you have been engaging in a kind of projects that resulted into scam or failure due to your eagerness to also participate in digital assets but i can assure you if you learn and watch carefully how things are been done on bitcointalk then i think you should be able to realize all your past mistakes.
3498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to the Bitcoin network if Russia blocks access to the internet? on: March 14, 2022, 10:26:39 AM
Russia is considering shutting down the internet connection to the rest of the globe. What will occur? Is the hash rate decreasing? What will happen if the connection is re-established in a few years?

Possibly Putin might not have thought of the implications on the other side because as at now, situation of their economy system is bad not to talk of how their currency was devalued, most bitcoin investors leaving the country to seek for a new start, although the effect does not have anything to do with the hash rate as i believe most of the miners too would have seek to relocate to a safety location.
3499  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin at $1 000 000 by 2030 on: March 14, 2022, 10:10:27 AM
It is also expected that in the future bitcoin will increasingly be recognized as legal tender and its share among global assets will continue to grow. There will also be an increase in the number of bitcoin holders who accumulate their coins in the long term.

With all indications, this is feasible even within a short term range, because bitcoin is gain a massive daily increase of investors and stand as the most accurate store for digital assets and a guaranteed investment that does not input a total loss of capital, this store of value (bitcoin) has on several occasions top the profitability of even gold and it is more preferred than any other asset but the controversial aspect is when i read on the news on how Russian investor are currently sourcing out for crypto asset conversation into Fiats and physical properties in the green pasture of Dubai.

I understand the effect of the ongoing war might have triggered such moves but why a sudden change of crypto conversion into physical asset when bitcoin is still the best available option for currency conversion and store of value. Am sure before the end of this year more countries will join in adopting Bitcoin as a legal tender.

From your experience with the man you just met on Facebook and the next thing to come to your mind is to be your saviour (God sent) helper,  this is a wrong approach as things are not done all of a sudden, you can't expect someone you're yet to build a quality relationship with just decided to help you within a little space of time you met come on.... That's a suspicious act and if one is not careful  will end up being a victim of scam, many has been a victim of such people because they tend to prove been smarter or to quickly  grab advantage,  scams come in different ways and techniques, watch out.
