Since this is a very popular mobile crypto wallet used by many beginners, I want to warn everyone who uses this wallet or will use it in the future that there is no verification and do not fall for this cheap trick that scammers have been using for a long time.

A new phishing campaign is currently underway, so if your email leaked somewhere you can expect to receive a message identical to the one I personally received. If you get it in your inbox, report it as spam, and in no case click on the link in the message - it may just be a classic seed stealer, but it is possible that at the other end you will find malware/virus.

I dont trust the most emails or messages that have some kind of links or buttons that you can click !
Lately i noticed the same scheme like that you posted to " Verify your Wallet or Account " Emails from a lot of services that are fake mails.
In the past i already got a few times some messages from things that i never used or i have registered.
This also happens with Bank Accounts and real life things , always watch out the scammers are everywhere.

I also got an email similar to that asking me to verify my identity Grin These scammers also use the name of other popular wallets and/or exchanges to deceive gullible users. Last month, I receive few emails in one of my account from fake Metamask, Exodus, Pancakeswap, Gate.io, and Binance support. Messages are all about account restriction/suspension and claiming fake rewards.

This is so annoying, everyone should be careful scammers are everywhere planning,  developing skills and strategies on how to ruin your future.
The way you plan for your future the same way scammers plan to ruin your future.
The way you go out to look for your daily bread the same way scammers strategize to steal  your daily bread.
So everyone shine your eyes be your own security do not allow them to ruin your life because you struggle to get to where you are today. Shine your eyes, be your own security.
Stay safe.

Again one more phising attempt on Trust wallet with the same intentions of stealing the passphrase of wallet and to access the funds from it.There is rise in number of phising attacks on crypto wallets these days so we need to be extra cautious with them.

I think this one attempt is related to earn Shiba Inu coins for free by Just verifying your Trust wallet which they never does but still when people will see an opportunity to earn useless shitcoins they will grab it without even noticing the major details and fill in seeds of the wallet losing the funds.

Code:
Name -	Trust Wallet crypto scam

Threat Type -Phishing, Scam, Social Engineering, Fraud

Fake Claim -Trust Wallet users can earn Shiba Inu tokens for free

Disguise -Legitimate Trust Wallet website

Related Domain- trust-shibawallet.web[.]app, axie-infinity-shard[.]xyz, trustcryptowallet[.]net, configvalidation.hopto[.]org

Detection Names Avira (Phishing), Emsisoft (Phishing), ESET-NOD32 (Phishing), Fortinet (Phishing), Lionic (Phishing), Full List Of Detections (VirusTotal)

Symptoms- Trust Wallet cannot be accessed.
Distribution methods -Phishing emails, compromised websites, rogue online pop-up ads, potentially unwanted applications.

Damage -Loss of Trust Wallet accounts, cryptocurrency loss.

The users are being sent mails and when they open a link they are presented with such images asking to enter seeds of the wallet :

I don't understand how can people trust these emails asking for verification without checking the details of the company and links and even worse fill out their seeds which can compromise their wallet funds and associated NFT with them if any

Personally, the message seems convincing, especially if it is synchronized with downloading the wallet.

Did you receive that message as soon as you downloaded the wallet, or did it come to you randomly? It's strange that you get this message and you haven't downloaded the wallet.

In general, unfortunately, beginners may believe this message, so perhaps this warning must be include when using this wallet.

Did you receive that message as soon as you downloaded the wallet, or did it come to you randomly? It's strange that you get this message and you haven't downloaded the wallet.

I have had a Trust wallet for several months now because I needed it for some testing, but since it is a mobile crypto wallet it is not necessary to enter any personal information, including e-mail, this phishing mail should not be connected in any way with the fact that I am a user of that wallet. Given that this is an e-mail that is publicly available (for those who know how to find it), and that it is one of those that are part of the Ledger leak, I can assume that someone is using that database.

In general, unfortunately, beginners may believe this message, so perhaps this warning must be include when using this wallet.

It would be nice to have a warning on their homepage, but it’s buried pretty deep on this link. If every prospective user were forced to read these warnings before creating a wallet, I believe many would be able to avoid phishing scam.

Thanks a lot for sharing such kind of scam. The new users in Crypto oftenly open these scam links. They should be aware and make secure of their assets. Trust Wallet should make an announcement to make awareness.

these kinds of scams targets people who lack information, lack of knowledge, lack of experience, etc...  that is why it is not surprising that there are people who end up falling victim to them.

it's most likely a scam, but if you are curious about it you should directly ask their support if they have a giveaway event going on.

I agree with all the posts above.I never open links that come to my email.
I also don't trust any posts when it comes to my money.
I communicate only in secure messengers, because my Facebook has been hacked many times.

NEVER OPEN SUSPICIOUS LINKS!!!!

I don't understand this particularly because trust is not exchange that deals with KYC what is the reason of verifying trust wallet, the coins in trust wallet is not secured again or they are having some cyber challenges in the site, i want to know if this verification is going to take place for those that have trust wallet before, or for the new downloading trust wallet because i have not have idea that trust wallet can be verified and if this information is authentic that means if you don't verify you will not have access to your wallet or your coin

Thanks for the warning. I don't even use Trust wallet and have not yet received any mail. But often received this kind of mail like from fake Ledger and so on. I just press the delete button instead of clicking the mail. Because I know about scammer methods and not gonna waste time. So everyone should take a lesson, don't be greedy and stupid. Scammers just targeting crypto users from the leaked database.

You did not understand the essence, Trust wallet does not require any verification or registration when creating a wallet. Consequently, it is impossible that such an e-mail can be authentic, and as far as I could see, Trust wallet support does not have e-mail as an option at all. This is a phishing email that tries to convince users to share their seed, or serves to collect personal information and spread malware.

I am a long time TrustWallet user and it is used to store assets or coin proceeds from the airdrop that I get, but until now I have always ignored fake verifications because I know that TrustWallet never provides such things, but will still be wary of verification that suspicious.
Also sometimes I find on the facebook page of Trustwallet holding a giveaway I know it's fake but I never clicked on it for that.

Trust Wallet is a lot better than the one I've been using for the last four or five years. It was a problem a long time ago but I had a wallet hacked even though it was done by people close to me who took the page number while operating my personal laptop. Don't be deceived. You should not share your personal documents with anyone and you should not show your essentials to anyone. Those who see them trap you and hurt you like a silent killer so you have to be careful not to fall prey to them a second time.

I was idly trying to follow the giveaway bot orders from trust wallet. but do you think this is real? I'm still new to cryptoqurrency and I'm very happy if it's genuine.
I think this giveaway was previous year as to celebrate their 3 year partnership but you also need to have Binance account and then fill forms and other task to have some coins so don't think it's running now also.So first made your deep research and then only participate in these Twitter bot giveaways. But if they ever ask for personal information or seeds then don't do it ever.

I instantly disregard all emails having title like 'verify wallet' — wallet names change, scheme remains same.
That's also good approach to ignore such emails and be safe on your end as most of these mails are phising attempt to scam you of your funds and recently all the wallets have been victim of these attacks like Ledger,Trezor and Trust.

We need to be very careful with whatever thing that pops up on the internet and not only on trust wallet, this awareness should be included in every area of our life because things are getting out of control, let’s make sure we read and understand perfectly and if we don’t we should ask questions to someone who knows better than you do. Bitcoin thief is so heartbroken because you don’t have anyone to help recover it.

This is crazy, how come these scammers decided to send messages to emails when Trust Wallet does not requires email or any information about the users when creating a wallet. This is an obvious attempt to steal crypto assets from users. Although newbies might be carried away with this by disclosing their seed phrase to these scammers. Trust Wallet has nothing like upgrade or verification and they have no business in knowing the identity of users. We all need to be careful.
