I would not root for anyone to bring a lawsuit up, because lawsuits cost companies money even when they are baseless. And there's no telling when someone might find a judge who actually wants to bring a case through the system full circle, potentially bankrupting the company even if they did nothing wrong.

Having issues getting 3.2.0 working with Zadig/WinUSB on Windows 7 64 bit. Uninstalled the SiLabs driver, installed the WinUSB driver from Zadig, and all my devices show up under the "Universal Serial Bus devices" as "CP2101 USB to UART Bridge Controller" and not in "Ports (COM & LPT)" as COM devices ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) Will try more later tonight.

Not 5... There are currently 24 "extra" units: 19 included under the terms of our warranties plus 5 unaccounted for.
24 extra ? Oh. That kinda changes things a bit :| I would say leave the 19 untouched for warranty reasons, and Ark keeps the remaining 5 for his efforts ? If no-one needs warranty swaps after 6 months, auction them off within the original group buyers, as my $0.02

hmmm whats with those HW ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Not entirely sure about the hardware errors, but it seems to be common amongst everyone that has reported on them. Will try with CGMiner 3.2.0 later this evening and see if that does not help to improve things.

you ordered from friedcat and already got them?
Absolutely blown away with their service. Received them 3 days after making payment. I can't speak highly enough of the ASICMiner team.

Wow 12 ghash with usb's for about 9k$.While I can appreciate the low power cost I think id try to just go with a blade for 6500ish. Nice setup tho.
$9k ?! What is this fiat you speak of ? Have been reinvesting Bitcoins i've mined over the last couple years into upgraded hardware http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005NGQWL2/ -- 10 port hub in the pics http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003XN24GY/ -- Fans used. Not sure these make a significant difference in cooling, but I guess it's better than no airflow at all.

For my German view, its chaotic. Why is one fan in the other direction?
oh god i didn't even notice that. fix it, fix it FIX IT! There was something wonky with CGMiner/Windows saying it did not have access to open that port for some-odd reason. I shuffled everything around to accomodate. Will be sure to troubleshoot with 3.2.0 tonight.

As for the "extra" units. They should be auctioned off internally and the proceeds should be split among all of us in proportion to how many we ordered out of the total. I hate lotteries... random shit sucks. My vote is with them belonging to arklan, to do with as he pleases. Think what you will of that, but it's my vote for now. +1 I agree with fpgaminer. +1 agreeing with John K agreeing with fpgaminer.

Thanks for the quick reply! One last question: what input voltage does the power adapter take? (please be 110-240V!!)
110-240VAC, 50/60Hz, 1.2A http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003XN24GY/ -- ARCTIC Breeze Mobile USB-Powered 92mm Portable Fan, Portable Cooling Solution, Quiet Fan - White ... are the fans used in that photo. Not sure how much the fans are making a difference to cool these things down, but I guess it's better than no airflow at all.

I'm giddy as a schoolboy. Just got all my USB Block Erupters set up and hashing. Just had to share this here. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2Fs0dzfQ3.jpg&t=663&c=ECplEUCG5bzEAg) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FC8vsaG0.png&t=663&c=0CuUpSbnFzmKcQ)

I want to believe. If you are serious about taking pre-orders, I might suggest doing an escrow with JohnK. I'd happily buy one of these units, but only pay for it once it ships - meaning, JohnK would release the funds upon shipping. You guys don't ship in a reasonable amount of time, JohnK could refund our BTC, minus escrow fees. Pre-orders in Bitcoin space have left a particularly foul taste in my mouth, unfortunately Wish you well with this project.

Awesome setup Xian. I actually think I was looking at those exact USB fans on Amazon the other day. Is that the "Arctic Breeze" ones?
Yessir. Very quiet, and blow a surprising amount of air.

His post is indeed the classic definition of the meaning and use of the term FUD
Finally had enough of Luke-Jr's hubris to add him to my ignore list. *sigh*

Great post ! FWIW, if you don't want to run the separate nogpu executable, you can specify the regular cgminer.exe with the -G flag.
According to Kano in the CGMiner thread, v3.2.0 will have some spectacular work done to make mining with these easier, complete with hot-swap capabilities. Great stuff !

Just curious - do you have a fan pointed at these?
Fans pointing at them, yes. Additionally, room ambient is 75F.

A screenshot I posted to the CGMiner thread, of a bunch of these baby's running in one of my systems. Curious about the amount of HW errors, but if that's "normal"... then ... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FXBQAQ7J.png&t=663&c=zAAyt5qbWHEYRA)

Keeping an eye on this project. I'd like to be one of the first to take delivery of a 180GHs beast.
Cautiously optimistic.
