3481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: April 22, 2013, 07:22:31 AM
Can someone copy paste their cgminer config file for 7850 to get 300+?

As kind of a bump and to partially answer this:
I can mine 600+ using:
Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o http://127.0.0.1:3334 -u xxx -p xxx --worksize 256 -g1 -I 20 --lookup-gap 2 --shaders 1792 --thread-concurrency 8192
However, when I pool mine with identical settings, I get HW errors.
Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o http://coinotron.com:3334 -u xxx -p xxx --worksize 256 -g1 -I 20 --lookup-gap 2 --shaders 1792 --thread-concurrency 8192

Any thoughts? Maybe cgminer doesn't detect HW errors in solo mode?
you do not have the right shaders for 7850 , these that you have are for 7950 , try 1024 and see if you get any HW errors , otherwise you are getting a fake Hash speed , i do not think that 7850 is able to pull 600 kh/s
3482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: April 21, 2013, 08:36:02 PM
I have ATI HD 7970, currently getting 606 kh/s.

My clocks are GPU 1125 and memory 1575. Using cgminer 2.11.4. (Maximum overclock, this card comes with 925 and 1375 stock clocks and it is stable)

How do you guys get close to 700, I have tried playing with my clocks, tried to get 0.57 ratio between GPU and memory, no luck. Drivers are 13.1.

My current setting are --worksize 256 -g1 -I 13 --lookup-gap 2 --shaders 2048 --thread-concurrency 8192

Any ideas?

Thx
try this  -g 2 -I 13 --shaders 2048 -w256

use cgminer 2.11.4 do not set thread-concurrency let cgminer detect the best value for your cards, maybe try the last beta drivers 13.3, i get more than 720 kh/s with core1040/memory1750 with vcore unervolted and vmemory overvolted , i did order Arctic extreme cooler tried it on 1 card and it is amazing I am getting around 67 c°with these setting comparing to the other cards that are running @ 86 c° I did order more coolers for the other cards, it is worth every cent I did give.

No luck here either, g2 instead of g1 cuts my hash to 400. Will try the new drivers, although I see people still complain bout them a lot.
you have to do some work around, each card model differ , do not get so pulled with the settings posted here , in my case the myth  of 0.57 doesn’t work  , i am using a sapphire dual-x with 925/1375 and I was struggling to get them to work @ 700+kh/s I did post a guide that you can check it, but it really vary not from the card only but i did notice that even the motherboard, in my case i am using 2 diffrent motherboard models but the same model of graphic cards on both motherboards, in the first model I get 720 kh/s so easy , the second model was a pain in the ass , for the same cards i use different Over Clockings to get the same hash rate  .

I am trying to tell you that getting the right configs for scrypt mining is not that easy, you have to play around to get that sweet spot for your cards, you can take a look here https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin/wiki/Mining-hardware-comparison

when I was just starting few months ago i got really confused , take a look at the list and see how 7970 really differ in matter of OC and hash rate. I do not know how this will help you, but at least you have a clear understanding of your problem which i wish you will be solving soon, now the LTC community is bigger and you will fast solve your issues , it took me 3 weeks to get my shit up when i just started few months ago.

good luck

Regarding the missing wire I previously posted about.

I have had zero communication from Bitstamp since April 9th on the issue.  I sent them a "hey can I get a status update" request last week, with no response.

Definitely starting to get worried.  Hopefully it's just growing pains and they are swamped, but 12 days is getting excessive for something that should take a few minutes to resolve on their end.

This is a wire in the mid-4-figures range, so it's not a trivial amount to simply write off.

I'll post updates one way or the other Smiley

I was using bitstamp since I started using Bitcoin , and I really have nothing to complain about, the exchange is way better than MT.gox, the guys are really working hard, thought  they did mention on their page that the number of users has increased and they had to hire new employees to keep up, and they did mention also that they are doing allot of deposits manually .

we would like to assure those of you who sent deposits to our old details that our old IBAN is still active and your transfers, if otherwise sent with correct information, should arrive without a problem.

Please note that SEPA transfers usually take 1 to 3 business days to arrive and would kindly ask those waiting for your SEPA transfers longer than usually to please send us a transfer confirmation so that we can examine our bank account log and locate your transfers.

Also for those waiting on deposits we ask for your patience; we have accumulated a long list of transfers which lack information or contain wrong information which means we need to manually go through all of them instead of our system sorting them automatically.

I never traded a single BTC there and will never, but i am so fucking mad now, this caused only pain for users, a group of people who have no idea how to run and exchange or how to run an IT infrastructure controlling 80% of BTC exchanges in other word controlling 80% of the future of BTC.

it happened  so many times that I have no idea what is wrong with people ,  do you want to lose all what you have trusting such a site, just stop trading there and let it die.

3487  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox Investigating Downtime on: April 21, 2013, 05:04:56 PM
now at this moment and after all what happened the last couple of months , I really wish that MT.Gox will die, the future of Bitcoin cannot be related only to future of one exchange , there is plenty of exchanges there just move try one of them , and do not leave all your coins on one exchange .

I really never used MT.gox  not even once , but I am getting sick of it, as the price of BTC is not stable every time MT.gox goes offline. just do not tell me Ddos bullshit and it is hard to keep the servers online and what so ever , I am an IT engineer my self and  I know that if you are making that much of money you can get one of the best servers and you can purchase the best protection system. because in a matter of couple of years they will be making more money than facebook or twitter.
3488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you create an altcoin? on: April 20, 2013, 07:26:41 PM
I bet that you have no idea about writing a code or even reviewing it , I love an open source programs and I wish if my company would invest into it , but I hate it when people like you start messing around it, you do not even know from where to start , and if you somehow create a coin... how will you support it in future , you know that you have to do some development after you create it, and what will you do if there will be a bug , you think that people will spend their money and time for some weekend project from some amateur ?

the only real coin for me is BTC or LTC and maybe NMC, all other coins are just a waste of time and money

I thought that nicksasa was sick , the last time that he wrote he said that he is sick and he will fix problems when he feels better, otherwise i still see that he didn't change the fee , it is still at 1%.

and it seems that not all users having the problem of cashing out their LTC , the pool hash rate right now @ 2051.13 Mh/s ao why miners keep mining there if it is a scam ?
3490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Warning BTC-e not sending some withdrawals on: April 08, 2013, 05:18:25 PM
Sorry I am confused this is my local computer LZzbezU2zjwSYgnzn1A38kPqHgGQ5DaXLd

this is the address on the BTC-e transaction history page LZzbezU2zjwSYgnzn1A38kPqHgGQ5DaXLd

So im not sure how someone could have stole my coins

how come that you have the same address on your computer and BTC-e this doesn't make any sense , i do not know if this is even possible , are you sure about the above information ?
3491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin crashing 70% right now! on: April 06, 2013, 04:25:34 PM
again looking to the charts , a month before LTC was @ 0.2$ it went up till 5.9 $ than it started again dropping i wont say crashing but LTC  still raised 10 times more than it was a month before, this is huge we didn't see this even with BTC

take a look here http://www.ltc-charts.com/period-charts.php?period=1-month&resolution=day&pair=ltc-usd&market=btc-e
3492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin crashing 70% right now! on: April 06, 2013, 04:12:06 PM
in the other hand this made me think in a different way, i know that some people out there especially early adopters are holding to few thousands of LTC , this price dropping will just make them sell some of it which will be good to make sure that new holders and users get their hands on it ... more people having LTC on their hands will make the price solid and rise fast and will make LTC even stronger, otherwise this is the idea of the cryptocurrencies, decentralization which means not only in the hand a fewer which lead directly to this few controlling the future of that currency .
3493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin crashing 70% right now! on: April 06, 2013, 03:52:39 PM
(...) I give you my word that it gonna hit 10 $ in few weeks.
Word is bond?

isn't ?
3494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin crashing 70% right now! on: April 06, 2013, 03:23:35 PM
if you are a holder trying to sell now for this shitty price than let me tell you that you will regret it so much that you are gonna cry later just like the people before you who sold at 0.5 $ cried when LTC hitted 6$, i give you my word that it gonna hit 10 $ in few weeks.

than if you are a buyer trying to buy LTC and can't decide is it the right time or not or maybe trying to wait untill it gets less than 2$ you will gonna have so much time to regret and cry about it later.

I just wish i had some more money or BTC to threw it into LTC , i am so sad this moment, I've been looking to this price the hole morning and it just make me sad and angry that i can't take advantage of it .
3495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC fork? on: April 06, 2013, 12:51:53 PM
there is no fork you people , from where do you get these informations , the price is going down because allot of idiots are panicking, mostly miners , when i look to the orders book , only small sell orders are killing the LTC price in the other hand smart buyers will just use the chance and buy as much as they can , didn't you learn from last time when it went from 0.75 $ to 0.5$ people thought it is dieing and sold everything today they can only regret it .

and do not read the troll box, because a smart trader look into charts not what they say in the troll box .

Why i can't get my LTC out of your pool , each time i click on Withdraw i get this error: "Transaction failed(incorrect address?)" i did change the adress to make sure but it doesnt work either ways

Edit: it works now. thank you

do you know what encryption is ? BTC is SHA256 LTC is Scrypt it is a huge change if you know what this even means

lol. Ok. Encryption huh. May want to look up what the definition of a checksum or hash is there.
yes you might as well, than you maybe can come and ask some questions , i wont go to your level anymore .

Do you know how silly you sound when you say Litecoin is such a big change over bitcoin and then list one thing which is quite small? The proof of work mechanism? And you call it encryption? I would love to see you encrypt data with scrypt or SHA256! Please, go ahead.

i did point one and major difference , if you want more go ahead and google it or just visit the WIKI , i know that most of you are lazy so do you want me to do it for you , hell no .

and before even acting as a smart ass you should do some home work , before you've heard of BTC and before you even knew what is an encryption , NOKIA used that on their locking program SL3 (SHA1)... ah sorry do i have to explain more , ok i will just go a little bit simpler , NOKIA did lunch their SL3 phone series few years ago i cant recall when exactly . which were locked with an encryption of SHA1 thinking that this will prevent people from unlocking their phones and using it in different providers.
there was the first ATI used for Bruteforce to get the 16 digit NCK code , which was simply a solution of the phone hash with its IMEI , we used Oclhashcat to bruteforce attack the encryption in order to find the NCK , BTW they still use it today ... google it , go to Gsmhosting forum read about it , maybe you have a nokia and you do not even know about it .

i can make a list but i think this will be just a waste of my time and yours .

and hey i am an IT engineer so maybe when i was writing my first algorithm you were sucking your fingers, or you may still do it today who knows . do not underestimate people.

I'm gonna need another category in cryptocoin list stickie. maybe "a total piece of crap" ?
every day they release some shitcoin which is a total copy/paste of BTC  or LTC , this is a joke... each time i see "new coin have been released" i get sick. maybe i will do the same and release some 10 new  dickcoins just by copying the source code of BTC or LTC hey it is open source this gives me the right to, just funny people these days

I dread to think what the "Accepted Here" logo would be....

if we continue this way , you will see only $ or fiat in general accepted anywhere , if you wont make some real new coin who comes with changes and improvements not just copying, than you better just fellow other altcoins because it is never to late to be an adopter , people who will join the community after few years they will say "shit if i just got in when BTC was 140$ or LTC was 5$ ..." you do not wanna be one of them.

all what you are trying is to be an early adopter hoping some day you will be multimillionaire. people are just ignorant these days

What did litecoin change over bitcoin? Not much and it's $5/coin right now. Mincoins has as much change over LiteCoin as Litecoin does over Bitcoin. Stop being jealous and do something about it.
