3481  Economy / Speculation / What do you do when price falls? on: November 27, 2018, 09:34:22 PM
As you see, bitcoin's price felt from 6500 to 3700. From the very first day, there was panic and fall was very intense. In situations like this one, how do you act? Do you sell bitcoins, wait a little for more fall and then buy more with same cash? Or so you fully support bitcoin and hold it?
I ask this because want to know what community here does in such situations, do you do good for bitcoin or worsen situation?
3482  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it the end of cryptocurrency? on: November 27, 2018, 03:25:51 PM
If it was just a begining when price was some cents, if we couldn't imagine last year how bitcoin would pass 1000 usd barrier, then when we have it's price over 3000$, why is everything over? Also it's a time when bitcoin is popular compared to past and this popularity is caused by how people like crypto. Can't agree anyone who is on pesimistic mood currently, I would say just use this chance and buy it.
3483  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | 0.00075 BTC/post on: November 27, 2018, 03:02:24 PM
So is chipmixer going to raise the rates considering how much bitcoin crashed?

I doubt it. Their service only takes a pay-what-you-want fee in BTC.(Basically a donation, or a tip.) I don't think this downtrend in value vs fiat is going to yield more BTC for them, so they can budget more BTC to this campaign. I could be wrong.
Not so like you said, I didn't read rules and sent 0.0103 and that 0.003 got donated, that really made me sad because I had to make another payment.
Your campaign is doing well, like bitmixer was doing. fixed 0.0007(5) and max 35 post. They didn't lower rates when bitcoin skyrocketed so I think it's not fair to request rise of pay per post because of current situation.
Wish you all the best... Here are great members...
3484  Economy / Economics / Re: Can virtual wallets be confiscated by courts? on: November 27, 2018, 02:18:00 PM
Well, that happens when you have accounts in banks, government can close them, they can also stuck transactions like receive money on your name via western union, moneygram and etc but that also highly depends where you live. Outside us, I highly doubt government will close your pp, skrill and etc accounts, they simply won't be able to do that because these companies are out of your local governments control. No one can touch your own crypto wallets, that's why some people save money in crypto for bad days.
3485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Skill-based Gambling/games? on: November 27, 2018, 11:55:42 AM
a lot of ~snip~

It's stupid to play chess for btc. There is no way people aren't botting their way in public chess rooms.

Agree but if you think like that than there is no way to play 100% skill based game online in fair situation, everyone can play bot against you and there is a high chance you'll lose. But on another hand there is a game which I just reminded, something like penalties. You have 3 chance, your opponent has 3 chance too and you kick penalties to each other. One kicks and another one is goalkeeper, one chooses corner and GK chooses also, it's 100% luck but fair lucky based games, then they swipe the roles and so on.
3486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: most of miners are shutting down their gigs? on: November 27, 2018, 09:16:32 AM
I heard most of the miners are shutting down their gigs, Is it true? So, Is this the end of Bitcoin?  Huh
It was correctly mentioned that most means 51% and over.
Well yeah, some miners are shutting down their miners because currently even with free electricity mining isn't profitable. It happens because not everyone is able to handle loss, again big miners try to keep market. Don't blame me but still I think this price fall has to do something with mining, small players are going out of market and for example bitmain will have new and great antminers, they'll try to fill 1-2% loss and mine with better equipment and less difficulty. After that, price will rise.
3487  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Is anyone willing to help me? on: November 26, 2018, 05:18:35 PM
Hello guys, I want to order fragrance from notino's UK website. The sale ends today, if anyone can help me without extra fees and order fragrance on my adress, I'll be glad. I'll pay the same amount tomorrow as soon as possible. Usually minerjones was helping me in such situations but currently he doesn't respond.
Hi Shield132,

Why not exchanging your cryptocurrency to fiat ? We support SameDayPayout without extra charge.

- Bitsettle.com
Don't want to exchange my crypto now. Banks are closed, have cash and will pay tomorrow if anyone help me today.

Edit: Already done.

3489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Skill-based Gambling/games? on: November 26, 2018, 11:42:12 AM
Like you, I think it's unfair that we have a lack of skill based games. Poker is combination of both, luck and skill and when you play online in room where everyone can sit and go anytime they wish, it's hard to understand opponent's phsichology and use your skills which usually is bleff. Btw the game, which is 100% skill based is chess and there is a website velocitychess.com where you can play chess with bitcoins too, was playing here two years ago, haven't visited this website since then.
3490  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the use of credit cards a strong indicator of a nation's economy? on: November 26, 2018, 11:16:04 AM
As some may have observed, highly developed countries like the US encourages their people to use credit cards for transactions. Cash transactions are still used but mostly they prefer people to have their credit cards. I want to know if having a credit card really necessary even if they can afford to pay in cash? Are credit cards reflective of your ability to pay?
At least it means that some technogies are integrated in country and people don't look surprised when you ask them if you can pay by card. On another hand it means nothing dramatic, some prefer cash and some prefer their cards, depends on person too, people who have online banking and usually make transactions, prefer this way. Old people and others who get paid cash, usually self-employed, prefer to use cash and don't load cards or own it. Btw I would say, if there are many users with visa gold cards, then yeah, it means good economy Cheesy
3491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is Bitcoin "cheap" if its price is up more then 399 million percent? on: November 26, 2018, 09:38:06 AM
I hear people constantly say that the price of Bitcoin at 5,000 USD or 4,000 USD is "cheap". But, the initial price of Bitcoin was at 0.001 USD. At that time, Bitcoin had absolutely the same properties and function as it has today, which is a payment protocol and means of exchange. But in order to have that function today, one has to pay it 4,000 USD. Meaning, in order to get the same thing, a person has to pay 399 million percent more than what she or he paid in the past. How can a rational person call this "cheap"?! If someone would want to sell you iPhone 3 for 2,000,000,000 USD, would you call this "cheap"!? What is wrong with people today?
Oh man, haven't you heared anything about demand and supply? Do you know how much bitcoin we have in circulation today and how much will be available finally? If no, then go and see on coinmarketcup. Well, bitcoin was 0.001, imagine it's 10$ which is 10Kx and maybe it will satisfy you. There are so many users with so much budget, currently one man makes so valuable transaction that with that price he/she would buy/sell whole bitcoin. So this clearly shows why your opinion is illogical. Don't forget miners too, if they won't mine, your transactions stuck. If you see mining profitability on whattomine.com or on nicehash, you'll clearly see that with free electricity and antminer s9, mining is unprofitable, you lose much, nearly 15$ in month.
Well, what to say more? Hope I explained everything clearly.
3492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU Mining a good idea or not? on: November 23, 2018, 07:57:51 PM
Currently I would forget ethereum and some other very popular litecoins for mining because they are already abused, did you understand what I mean?
So for this reason, I would avoid buying of asic and AMD GPUs.
Buy Nvidia GPUs, GTX1070ti and higher, they are amazing, consume less energy and is profitable because you don't depend on ethereum or zcash or on others, just visit whattomine.com set your setting and see how these Nvidia's GPUs are better than AMD ones and how freely you are in choice of choosing coin for mining.
3493  Economy / Economics / Re: Mistakes That Make You Poor Poor In Cryptocurrency on: November 22, 2018, 09:37:09 PM
As it seems from overall posts, people discuss on different aspects of what can make you poor in crypto currency. By the way I have absolutely different proposal in this situation. It's your lack of optimism in bitcoin, I say this because I was laughing on people who were saying bitcoin would reach 20K in 2018 year, I sold them when I had to buy them instead of selling, gained only small profit. That step can make you poor in cryptocurrency but that is nothing if you hold bitcoins and sell them when price falls, it's a huge mistake and poorer step.
3494  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Would you use this app? on: November 22, 2018, 08:33:08 PM
The idea is pretty simple, It's a desktop application to start with (could be available for iOS and Android afterward) to monitor your addresses and portfolio with notifications, charts etc. everything you might need.

It will support multiple coins, It will also be possible to retrieve your addresses directly from your hardware wallet (Ledger nano S/Trezor) without the need of copy-pasting them one by one etc. Is that something you would be interested in using in the future?
Of course I would use this app, especially if it will be designed for Android, it can make things more easier, it's not always possible to sit in front of your pc or laptop, we can bring smartphone everywhere. I like All In One (AIO) tools and I think there are many who enjoy it, personally I can only say that yes, it's something which I would love to see.
3495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This person made $500,000 with gambling and lost it all within 60 seconds! on: November 22, 2018, 06:33:08 PM
Btw can you tell me which casino promise you that you'll become rich if you gamble? None of them, they clearly say: Gamble for fun. If you can't have fun from it, then go away. You may ask they write something and do another thing (write not to gamble for profit but offer amazing promotions). There are rich people too, for those 1000$ is nothing to lose, they may try their luck in such promotions, just to prove that they are best or any other reasons. Gambling is optional, so these dramatic stories doesn't change anything. But yeah, it's very sad that man lost so much, at leasy he learnt from this lesson.

The casinos say what they have to say because of regulation and not because they want to say it.
And it still doesn't change the fact their games are designed to make you addicted.

Yeah, agree, they have to say this because of regulations but on another hand I personally blame myself rather than casino if I got addicted and yeah, for one year I was betting on sportsbook everyday but could control myself and never bet much because I could see that I may would lose which would affect me in a lot of way. So one day I hang on it and continue life like there was no sportsbook. User above me posts that we don't have to blame peoplr for low selfcontrol. at some point I agree and everyone knows casino tries to attract you but also everyone has to understand that you can't profit from gambling.
3496  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you ever wonders why we are using this paper as money? on: November 22, 2018, 05:33:23 PM
It's not like that government said and so we use it. We have different demand and different supply, we had a need of something unique, that would be able to be bring me what I want and also collect this from giving what I don't want. At first there were silver and gold coins, then more practical and multifarius, easy to made. So it is for public use but on another hand, there is gold behind money too as an one indicator of it's value. So after coins, we move on paper, then virtual world came and we move on electro money, after that a revolutionary crypto currencies came. It will be interesting to know, what will be in future.
3497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More than 10000 miners shut down due to market conditions on: November 22, 2018, 03:33:10 PM
Not bad, not good, middle part here. At least it's a little bit funny to see how people quit from mining. On another hand giants will gain more power in mining and that's very bad, now people don't have to quit, let's wait a little bit, pricr will rise, at least it's what all we want. We wanted bitcoin higher than 1000$ and achieved, now this can't be so difficult to gain 6K usd price back.
Since I highly hope price will rise, I would say situation won't get any worse.
3498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What causes a person to become intensely addicted to gambling? on: November 22, 2018, 02:34:09 PM
OP since you are a person behind mydicebot, I wasn't expecting this question, nor this answer, a little bit different direction...
Btw I would change word gamble with word choice in your sentences. Btw if you call gambling to life, no, it's not addictive for everyone and that's why some of them make decision to break free.
I can't take your proposal in direct way, that's why I made some changes too.
3499  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How a trader should deal with the stress? on: November 22, 2018, 01:58:51 PM
I find that no matter what your trade strategy you are using, you will eventually not escape stress. Like, today for example, with the BTC price starting to go down again, the amount of stress is unbelievable since every other coin is relative to BTC. My solution and recommendation to evade stress is either stay in the market and don't look back, tether or leave entirely.
You have to be mentally ready for bad and confident at the same time. If you two bitcoin and are stressed for such a high losr which we have as for now, imagine a person who owns 100 bitcoin, how would he feel? This is the most terrible and stressful situation when you own so much. You can't deal with stress when you are everyday looking on charts, the only thing that can help you is to make market order and go in gym or do etc that has nothing to do with finances, this way you'll feel a little bit relaxed if we can call it so.
3500  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is Blockchain a new technology or just a method of data storing? on: November 22, 2018, 11:54:23 AM
It was already explained what blockchain technologies are, they are great for storing data which has additional layer of protection and for tracking things, overally this is great technology which rapidly gets implemented in a lot services, even governments try to implement it.
I can suggest you great thing, if you like reading, go on this website and read latest news on blockchain, you'll understand how it works, what kind of companies implement it and why they do this, here is the link: https://cointelegraph.com/tags/blockchain
