3481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lessons from the Past: When bitcoin's price stabilised on: July 17, 2020, 06:43:25 AM
Next year will be his decade anniversary of regrets.  Grin
We have a lot of this kind of experience.

I once saw on Youtube a kid who was so mad at the bitcoin price.
He was holding a cup of beer while screaming at the top of his lungs in front of a Bitcoin ATM.   Grin
I bet he also have the same regrets now.
I think the price was still at $600 back then.
3482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 17, 2020, 04:53:49 AM
What's the point of all these security measures if players will be allowed to go outside.

All things they need or requests can be asses by staff.

Simple as it is, "just follows the rules". No need actually for too many guidelines because after all, the player itself should understand and knows what to do. They know the reason why they are in the bubble in the first place.

Precisely. They need to comply taking this virus seriously, they don't need to do anything that might get the chance to infect them,
the spread can happen to quick so every precautions that they can do to avoid the virus should be taken place, they are professionals
so they really need  to show now.
Not though if there's contract that will lock them to this agreement, hope there's one to make it more strict.

Considering the salary these guys are getting paid, I'm surprised people don't understand that they're already getting a good deal by having their expenses paid during this whole "bubble" situation as well as being paid their NBA salary. They have every right to sit out this season and forfeit their salary/contract.

1. We all have the same idea, so why can't they have the same view as ours?
Are they really that hard-headed?
2. Don't they love playing basketball that they need more?
3. Let's say it will take 3-4 months inside the bubble to finish this season and Finals. Is it really that long for an individual?
4. Will they rather stay at home and let their teammates do the job with their salaries being cut by management?

Freaking hammer to their heads to be thankful they had been given a chance to play again in a secured way rather than being fat at home again.
3483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 16, 2020, 05:46:07 PM
I actually hope they knew that already.
There will never be getting out once you are in.
Aren't the news already a proof of that and then the lockdowns and quarantines.
It should be a common sense to them.
I bet it was also written and they signed something about that rule.

For now, what they could show is more discipline.
They are professionals, maybe start acting like one.
3484  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the twitter scam crash the price on: July 16, 2020, 02:23:36 PM
And here I thought Twitter was one of the safest out there when it comes to social media application.
I just recently joined in with the need for updates of whatever I will follow.

But with regards in bitcoin being affected because of a Twitter fault.
I doubt it will be that much, or better there will be none.
In the end, it is still an attack with Twitter and they are supposed to have better security with such large industry and still growing.
3485  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 play&invest BTC ETH LTC DOGE on: July 16, 2020, 12:59:41 PM
BTC ACTION AT YD!! 0.5 BTC BET PER ROLL!! Grin Grin Grin

I think he won a lot.
Felt it in my investment.  Grin

I would never dare at that kind of amount.
It's too scary.  Grin
He may also be the one who will take the golden pot once the weekly contest is over.
The 2nd place is too far behind.
3486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 16, 2020, 11:17:35 AM
Now it's about sex.

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2020/jul/15/humans-need-it-will-a-lack-of-sex-force-players-to-break-the-nbas-bubble
I'll just scrape a little in that long article.
Stephen A. Smith:
Quote
“You really think that people are going to be without their wives or their woman?” he added. “Forget three months – they’re going to struggle with three weeks… I’m telling you, they’re going to violate the bubble.” Many players would have preferred to be sequestered in Las Vegas rather than Disney World, he added, given Sin City’s more adult-oriented panoply of diversions.

Quote
Contact is biologically important, he says: “Any physical touch reduces cortisol, a stress hormone. A lack of physical touch increases it. It’s not just a perception of need or hurting your well-being, there’s actually a physiological response. Human beings need to have physical touch. People who have sex regularly – or even a 20-second hug – have reduced cortisol levels.”

I agree and also disagree.
They are men, they need it. There is always the urgency to have sex with your couple.
But, they need to consider what is happening.
I think they are still not absorbing reality. Perhaps, if they will catch the virus it would be all real to them. Not that I wish for that to happen.

Why not teach them to think about workers abroad?
Leaving their wives for 1-2 years contracts in a different country without sex specially when those men will work in Middle East.
I bet they will say it is different because they are sportsmen.
How come? All men have that same urgency.
3487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC out of top 10 coins on: July 16, 2020, 09:10:29 AM
I agree with how qwizzie put a division with different types of coins and their usage.
Here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5262081.msg54791982#msg54791982

Tether and BNB should not be in line with the coins. Let's say because of their usage and industry.
So, if summed up LTC is still in a good spot.
People may be forgetting about it but it is one of the best next to bitcoin. Maybe because of the new coins that are like mushrooms.
3488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 16, 2020, 05:39:46 AM
Yes, they will be using load management on him again hehehe.
Indeed they will. He is their special nuclear missile.  Grin
They don't want even a scratch or it will blow with a big injury.

The cases in Florida are pumping, what is the chance that there might be another shutdown there?
If all players are in the premises then there is still a chance to play even with the shutdown.
Just use strict quarantine that no one will get in or out the premises.
Super lockdown and even individual deliveries will not be allowed. Just those deliveries which is a necessity for the hotel.
3489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A treatise on privacy on: July 15, 2020, 05:05:10 PM

Don't take offense to this, but what have you done to increase adoption?

Adoption isn't going to be an individual thing nor even to say intentionally and collectively about it. Adoption isn't announced but it will creep into the system of all without announcement. It's about use, not just satisfaction. I believe that bitcoin will get to that era of everyone searching to have it .
I think it already happened.
Just looks slower now because we are rushing the adoption.

Imagine how much members only in this forum had.
Now, we are millions I think if you use the amount in userid's.
Although some have a different reason coming in, there is still always a chance they will bump into a thread like this which talks about bitcoin.
No one advertised bitcoin, that is the truth. Because no one will pay you doin it.
It came from the mouths of those who believe in it. Scattered slowly but can now be a discussion in the streets.

I cannot even count anymore how many people I bumped into personally and ended up talking about bitcoin.
Just yesterday someone asked me about bitcoin again.
My new neighbor.
3490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 15, 2020, 02:25:32 PM
I think everyone who watches the 2020 NBA Season feels that the Lakers will really take it all BUT for some reason, we know that the underdogs or other teams are not gonna let that happen because everybody got their pride on the line. I still think that whatever comes in the way of Lakers, they will try to overcome the challenges and personally, I also wanted the Lakers to win a championship again.

Lets just hope that none of the players that will play through the New NBA season are healthy and well.

Healthy bodies for everyone especially in the playoffs and Finals.
Why?
So there will be no reasoning like what happened in the last Finals game.
e.g. Durant injured, Klay Thompson injured and so on.
We know some analysts will use that kind of move just to make a scoop.
Now there is the virus. They could also use it to make themselves feel good if a star is unhealthy and they are a fan of it.  Grin

Only him can answer that. Well, if I'm the athlete, I wouldn't put others in danger by going outside. Yes, that's the others and not myself because I'm putting them at risk by violating the rules but anyway that's not me.
Yeah, I know that.  Grin
Sorry, I was just filled with emotions and I don't like how selfish the act was for his own crave.
3491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Promising low market cap altcoins on: July 15, 2020, 11:31:07 AM
I still trust pundix as a genuine project and i believe they will make big difference in coming years regarding crypto payments, usage and mass adoption, they just went a bit wrong in the npxs token model where alot of npxs were given away for just holding npxs every month which resulted in crash of price but as the rewards decrease the value will also regain but it will take some time.
Haven't you done the swap for FX token?
I made more by doing the staking process and now it is just there being kept.
Use case? Yeah, the Xwallet is still doing its job.
I haven't visited the application for a while. Maybe I will later.

Perhaps, the OP could have made a poll.
From other members opinion its like Utrust and Cartesi is winning.
3492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 15, 2020, 08:04:35 AM
And that's it, the feeling of facing a Covid-19 positive just last month. With that several and repetitive tests done to Jokic, I do hope the virus really leaves Jokic's premises lol.
Good health not just for him but for everyone who is facing the same problem.

Letter: It’s time to forgive Rudy Gobert

He might be the first one to be tested positive in the league but it doesn't mean he is the source.

Unfair if today, there are still people looking to him like that.
Oh yeah!
He made a bad choice and putting his teammates in danger but still, he is not the source.
Whoever it is, it was from the interview that happened.
I don't think no one should be blamed for passing this virus. Who knows if you have it already unless the symptoms will be revealed early.
We must help each other in this pandemic.

Organizers must be very cautious for the season to end successfully. However you feel the thrill of waiting for the NBA games.
2 more weeks.
Everything must go smoothly.
3493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank of America now treats BTC and ETH as Cash on: July 15, 2020, 05:07:53 AM
You haven't mentioned any logical source of this information.
Read the whole thread especially on page 2 from philipma1957.
You will find it enlightening since his wife is a customer of BoA.

If this decision is really taken that BTC and ETH will considered as cash from now will be a great epoc making event for the crypto. There is a question of my mind, how they will claim taxes on the users. How many % of taxes they will implement on income from Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Regarding this, perhaps there is another document to explain it.
3494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 14, 2020, 11:45:58 PM
I also hope. If in any case the virus spreads with more than 5-10 people around the bubble, I'm sure they'll move the start of the game next month again.

No, I don't think so.
It will be over once they mess it up. It is a chance, not a privilege.
If something goes south then it will be ended by the government to avoid more casualties.

He's back!

Woo, why some of them making the situation worse and don't just abide the simple rules given to them?
 Huh

My point.
You hed been given a chance. Why waste it?
Its not like prison. You still have the alternative to pick what you want
Why go so far for deliveries?
Are you not that comfortable with what they give?
Is it something your stomach cannot take in?
Isn't it better than not having a job? Which most people are longing for.
3496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 14, 2020, 09:12:50 AM
There is another player that's in quarantine. Sacramento Kings' Holmes after picking up a delivery.

Kings' Richaun Holmes placed in quarantine after breaking NBA bubble for food delivery

What would be the sanction then?  Placing in quarantine is not enough, he has violated the rules so he needs to face a sanction as it's not good to tolerate this kind of behavior when the success of the return of the NBA is always at stake.
The first thing that was on my mind after reading it.
Are there no security guards there that will prevent this from happening again?
They should isolate themselves for their own safety and yet they cannot even stop their urge for food outside.

Quote
Richaun Holmes just put himself in quarantine for dinner. The Sacramento Kings forward announced on Monday that the NBA placed him in quarantine after he left the Disney World bubble to pick up food delivery.

I thought it's not allowed.
It should not be. All food will be served from the hotel.
Quote
Holmes is the second player forced into quarantine after breaking the NBA’s bubble boundaries. Houston Rockets forward Bruno Caboclo reportedly “inadvertently” broke the bubble and has been quarantined inside his hotel room for eight days.

It’s not clear if Caboclo was also seeking an upgrade over the NBA bubble menu.
Holmes is actually the second to do it.
Why they can't just discipline themselves just for now? It had not even taken a month and they are already like kids being hard-headed.
Worse, it's not like an emergency or a medical supply.

Edit: Recent news I stumble across with.
Quote
Breaking news, Westbrook tested positive with the virus.
Source: https://www.facebook.com/172635502843901/posts/3267907033316717/

He still have time. He'll be able to get back before nba orlando bubble with few days of conditioning. He's fine though a bit late.

And I had also heard the news that Harden was also infected by the virus.
But, I am still looking for a legitimate source since most of the news came from sources that are not reputable yet.

According to the NBA in this source.
Quote
Houston participated in their second practice at the Walt Disney World bubbled without Westbrook, James Harden and Luc Mbah a Moute, who is in his second stint with the Rockets after signing with the team on Jul. 7.

So it might not be true.
Guys, be really careful with what we read. There is too much fake news out there or just made for attention.
Always do deep research.
Just reminding so we can have the best sources as always.

Other players that could defend Lebron.

1-    Montrezl Harrell
2-    Marcus Morris Sr.

I think we can add them to the players which I previously mentioned, they would surely give Lebron a hard time.
Oh yeah! There was the Brother Morris too.  Grin
I forgot about him.
But I will reserve Harrell for Davis, Mcgee, and Howard. Let him stay below the rim. He is one hell of a good defender down there.
If summarized, Clippers is one of the teams out there which have a larger percentage to win against the Lakers if ever they will face round 2 of the playoffs or the Finals.

I also support Ethereum and I think that is the one which has a large impact.
I haven't seen the market of other coins but perhaps this is just another short bull run.
Maybe we could make the most out of it while it is still hanging up there.

In my personal opinion, it won't take that long. Call me pessimistic but there is not much news that I see with regards to these alts that could pull them up.
