Bad news for Lakers, Rondo is very effective for the 2nd unit of the Lakers, this should affect the Lakers chances, and 6-8 weeks is a long period of time as that would also mean he will not be active coming to the most awaiting moments in the NBA season. I just hope other players can fill the gap while he is resting or out. We got Quinn Cook and Pope, let's see what they can contribute.

This will really hurt the chance of Lakers, Rondo contribute not just in the court, but off-court wherein we have seen him giving pointers to young players because we all know how experience Rondo is and him gone for the next 6-8 weeks will be a big blow for them. I don't know if Cook or Pope can cover Rondo but they have to step up their level of playing.

I think we will not miss Rondo a lot as Lebron is always there, he is playing the PG position now and we know that this man can play even with little rest just to make sure he can contribute all he can for the team to win. Rondo is always vital to the team, but he is very limited now as they have a similar position with the KING JAMES. We can see on his minutes played that results to a drop of stats. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/r/rondora01.html

Rondo now just serve as a back-up PG to Lebron as he is now facilitating the plays for the Lakers. Just don't have the data right now but i think the point production of LBJ decreased while his assist increased, that may be the reason why he urged Davis to joined him in LA.

He just average a double-double this season so far, his points are down but just a bit, and I think of the 3 seasons he played until now, this season is his best season as he was very efficient in all aspects. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jamesle01.htmlIf he can maintain that stats in the playoffs, Lakers should be a very dangerous team as he always got Davis on his back to support the scoring. And lastly, it's not stat-padding.

Rondo is still useful coming off the bench. The Lakers has no other pass first point guard but Rondo. Though LeBron could facilitate on the offensive plays, but he still needs to rest otherwise he'll drain out before the 4th quarter. Anyway, hope Rondo will get well sooner. ~snip~ And lastly, it's not stat-padding. Exactly! LeBron's stats was built with talent, skills, leadership, and experience. I haven't seen anyone stat padding worst than Harden. I mean this guy would literally grab an open rebound from his teammates during the last second of the game just to reach a double digit rebounding. And he can throw as many bricks as he want just to break a single game points made. Lol

Both stat padders playing at the same team, I wonder if they can win a ring together. Here's a good video that explains on how westbrook padding his stats and on why the guy can't win a ring. This Is Why Russell Westbrook Will NEVER WIN A Title
remark: video not mind and no intent of promotion.

The poll has been change knowing that NBA started again. In this case lakers still has the fans vote to win over the championship game. Well, it is because of strong line up course lead by lebron. Their team were really big and both do good inside and outside perimeter. They had really the great chance of winning.
However, the ball is round and we could not also be little the clippers lead by an MVP Kawhi Leonard.

Edit: Recent news I stumble across with. Breaking news, Westbrook tested positive with the virus. He still have time. He'll be able to get back before nba orlando bubble with few days of conditioning. He's fine though a bit late. Here goes the problem, other players will have to check themselves and be cautious to avoid physical contact with others. Each team management has to add more precaution to avoid uncaught infection of their players. Godspeed to Russell. That's really the problem if they have been in contact with Russel they might be tested positive too and might not be able to play on the opening of the game. Though it's possible he will recover in no time there will still protocol to be followed about those who tested positive of the virus and he'll have to start practicing again for the time lost because of the contracted disease.

And I had also heard the news that Harden was also infected by the virus. But, I am still looking for a legitimate source since most of the news came from sources that are not reputable yet. According to the NBA in this source. Houston participated in their second practice at the Walt Disney World bubbled without Westbrook, James Harden and Luc Mbah a Moute, who is in his second stint with the Rockets after signing with the team on Jul. 7. So it might not be true. Guys, be really careful with what we read. There is too much fake news out there or just made for attention. Always do deep research. Just reminding so we can have the best sources as always.

Thank goodness! Because if Harden was infected as well then there's a high possibility for them to have a lose streak and not get a good momentum after the game resumes. With regards to fake news, you can avoid it just by simply on sticking on their own website of course ( NBA) or other reputable sites like ESPN, FoxSports etc. .

They don't only win in the poll here, for sure in the poll outside hosted by other websites because Lakers is the heavy favorite now to win the Championship. It can also be check in the betting odds from this site - https://sportsbet.io/sports/basketball/usa/nba/outrightsHowever, the ball is round and we could not also be little the clippers lead by an MVP Kawhi Leonard.
Leonard is always underrated, the Clippers might beat the Lakers in this season, who knows... They have all the tools to do that and they are complete, healthy and can surely compete well with the Lakers. There head to head this season - https://www.landofbasketball.com/head_to_head_gl/lakers_vs_clippers_game_log_season.htmClippers won 2-1.

I'm sure Westbrook can still play if he is allowed, this guy is super human, he might get tested but it should not affect him.
According to some article that has been posted recently, a player that will be infected with covid-19 will be out at least a minimum of 2 weeks, and of course it would not be easy to come back as training is necessary for a player to get back in shape, it's just bad for Westbrook but anyway at least this happened before the resumption of the season.
Well, yeah. He's still maybe able to play, but first he needs to get tested again for atleast 2 times after two weeks of his quarantined. In other cases, it lasts to 2 or more weeks, depends on the immunse system of the carrier. Hopefully, with 16 days left before the NBA resume, WB should beat the virus before the resume day comes. Every games is very crucial, and without WB it's gonna be a tough fight for Houston.

When the season resume, it's only for the positioning and give chance for those who will quality in the last spot especially in the West, but looking at the ranking, Rockets are already ensured with a playoff status so it's not necessary that westbrook will play when the season resume. https://www.espn.com/nba/standingsnote : teams with x-marked are teams qualified for the playoffs.

Ohh yeah, I forgot about the format (my memory don't serve me right). With that said. WB just need to get back into shape before the playoffs begin. Russell Westbrook is the fourth All-Star, along with Nikola Jokic, Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert, to have tested positive for coronavirus this season. Two more All-Stars, James Harden and Bam Adebayo, have not joined the bubble for undisclosed reasons.
I hope Bam Adebayo is not of the three unnamed positive players of Heat. https://twitter.com/flasportsbuzz/status/1279473016997580800

That's the right thing to do if I'm the rockets management, I don't want to risk him playing when games are no bearing at all, unless they are looking for a higher ranking which I doubt they would since home court advantage is not vital anymore. Russell Westbrook is the fourth All-Star, along with Nikola Jokic, Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert, to have tested positive for coronavirus this season. I hope so because Bam has been doing really well this season but if he is that one, then no worries since Heat is also already qualified in the playoffs.

This was tweeted July 5, so it's not a fresh news, but I think Bam Adebayo is part of the players who got positive with covid-19. Here's some article about that. Missing players revealed: Bam Adebayo, Kendrick Nunn away from Heat, likely COVID absentees The Miami Heat held their first team workout since mid-March on Friday, with the session coming in the NBA’s “bubble” near Orlando and without center Bam Adebayo and guard Kendrick Nunn.
Bam Adebayo and guard Kendrick Nunn are missing in the practice, so we have a hint already.
