3481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 04, 2022, 09:35:14 AM
French Cup final will be between Nice and Nantes, interesting, although I don't know how Nantes was able to made it this far! It is curious also to see them in front of Lille in the table when they survived relegation in the previous season.
This round PSG will face Nice with a very unbalanced odds imo. PSG one is correct tho @1.8 but Nice @4.1...they aren't that bad although last month wasn't their best but I believe they could be competitive for PSG.

Hmm, interesting, personally I would say it should even be much wider the gap. But I guess we are all aware, just like the bookies are, that PSG's depth and skill on paper means nothing next to their form.

Nice 4/1 feels like not big enough a reward though as a draw is also possible I'd only take a DNB odds at hopefully 1.8x?
3482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 03, 2022, 11:47:19 AM
Sorry to comment about the cup game but I thought that maybe, maybe, Monaco might be able to do something special in that competition if not in Ligue 1 but it fooled me again I guess. All they needed to do was win, and they get a final appearance, and for sure with a great shout.

Nice-Nantes final instead we get, which isn't bad of course as Nantes hasn't been in this final for 22 years but really wanted Monaco to start getting a foot back into winning trophies.
3483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in new Gaming projects? on: March 03, 2022, 10:37:06 AM
For all of those who think about gaming projects with tokens I ask you to consider that games need gamers.

Axie Infinity etc are all full of people looking to make money. These are people playing to earn, hence play to earn montage everyone is crazy about.

Sustainability for games means gamers who play to enjoy.

So if the game you are considering isn't a great game on its own, forget it. Buying 3 NFT animals to play like Axie? That's not a sustainable game.
3484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 03, 2022, 09:01:13 AM
could not wish you luck on this one, since Valencia was on other side, and reached CDR final
since Bilbao was tougher opponent than both in other semi-final pair, this is a nice chance to get the title

will be in Valencia on 23rd, when the final is, but it will be played in Sevilla Sad
nevertheless, there will probably be good atmosphere in the city

Yes, how typical of myself. Losing it on the very first game. Well done to them though, I considered them to be one of those teams I gave up on already but maybe there's always something special in del Rey. GL to you then Smiley

Are you talking about regular multibet or insured? Regular multibet should accept it as long as you did not have some other market from same game. If you are talking about insurance than you can't use Asian handicaps or Asian under/over. You can still play it but you have to scroll down to the old school H1, H2 markets and if you want goals both to score is your only option for insurance.

I was trying to get insurance so yes, I had no idea Asian handicaps were not allowed, wanted to do Barca over 2.5 goals and could not put it in, or Barca handicap thanks for this information, I guess it must have been in the terms but I couldn't or forgot where to find the terms Smiley

3487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Women and Cryptocurrency on: March 03, 2022, 07:42:32 AM
Blockfi is probably one of the least trusted sources of information (look them up for scandal). And as much as I love crypto research, I find that so few of them are actually good enough to trust as they are mostly run like highschool research.

No science behind the sample size. No science behind the sample type. No science behind the questioning.

Besides. So what if X number of women one to buy? What is the number of women using? And why is this important? See again, no science.
3488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 02, 2022, 02:56:40 PM
I also went for away win but no betting, instead I put in early multibets for Real, Villareal, the favorites for sure but hopefully they don't ruin me like Italian teams have been. I even wanted to put Barcelona with handicap to get great odds but for some reason it won't be accepted in Sportsbet multibet (I never tried does anyone know why), I know the goals can't continue forever but you have to support and bet on the momentum while it lasts hehe

I also put Atheltic Bilbao on my ticket from cup game.

Wish me luck Smiley

3491  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Kraken CEO give a heads up to carefully use CEX on: March 02, 2022, 01:10:40 PM
Trading is a different situation, if you are about to trade and all then of course it makes sense, nobody would argue against that. However, let's not forget all those people how use exchanges as a wallet. I personally do that and know it is wrong and yet I still do that.

Binance is literally my wallet, no idea why I am doing that but I should probably stop doing it for sure. At the end of the day, life is not that easy and not all of us could afford a hardware wallet, and having it on our PC means one bad virus and it is all gone. Sometimes we may fail to find a proper way to defend it, but it is out there and we need to look and search for it for sure.

Which is why we do not apply the people who are trading to this advice of keeping your coins off exchanges. Obviously Kraken boss and everyone else with a sense of Bitcoin and crypto will always say, don't use an exchange to keep your coins. There are no exceptions (trading is not an exception as you're using it as capital not keeping it as savings or holdings).

You're the perfect example, why use Binance as wallet? There's literally no advantage:
- fees are higher
- you can't use it rightaway

No need hardware wallet if you can't afford. Download Electrum or any other free open-source wallet. Bad virus won't necessarily make your wallet gone if you store your private keys or seed safely (offline).
3492  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Southampton FC Main Sponsor 🚀🚀 on: March 02, 2022, 11:11:11 AM
Thanks for doing this Steve, I saw it on Bitcasino and already made a small send from my Sportsbet wallet. Apart from the obvious generosity I agree that this is something affecting us all no matter what. Nice to see majority of people supporting. Hope to see the same support for all our brothers and sisters all over the world being forced out of their own homes.

Thank you! I think you put the wrong link but anyway it's not difficult to locate. Amazing from Betwrong to predict exact results in the last EFL contest!! Should
Thanks for noticing that and correcting me, and yeah I never before saw someone making so many correct exact score predictions like Betwrong did last time.
Just imagine how much money he could won if he placed that bet on Sportsbet website, it would be posted by Steve here for sure Smiley

I guess he must be "cursing" his luck that he used up his magic for that rather than the promo where every week Sportsbet gives the EPL $100,000 USDT prize for Picking 6 correct scores lol I never get a chance I guess because of region block, but my fingers crossed for all of you who can do it !!

Still waiting for Steve to post one of the forum people winning that.
3493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: March 02, 2022, 09:46:13 AM
Basically anything can happen but if it's about Galatasaray, I think it's clear that Galatasaray have no chance of getting rid of Barcelona. Also, Barcelona is now from the signing of several players made recently, it is very visible that Barcelona is a better team now. Therefore, by examining the teams that are still in the last 16, I am personally quite sure that Barcelona has a chance to make it to the final and also become the winner of this tournament.

Yeah, it feels nice to be a Barca fan right now honestly. The way they've been playing recently, and the smiles returning to their face. But I don't want to get ahead of myself. The club is still in trouble financially, we still don't have a big answer as to what's going to happen to us next season. So I just want us to enjoy this position. Enjoy our campaign, stabilise, and if we win, great. But no expectations (even I know we're favorites).
3494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: March 02, 2022, 09:12:56 AM
This is much better than when the top teams (like the Italian ones) basically lose points and destroy the multi bets of everyone who trusted them  Grin

To be fair, I started watching Italian games recently and have been very surprised that they don't play the way my stereotyped mind has told me they played, and to be fair much more exciting than even my team Barca, at least at the start of the season. But yes, I hope La Liga continues to play the way I expect especially Barca now discovering their old mentality.

As long as we're not tempted to think we can actually do better than top 4, I won't get carried away lol. You still don't think Sevilla have a shot at title though?
3495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How will Coinmarketcap look in 2025? on: March 01, 2022, 03:40:57 PM
CMC in 2025 should portray additional info behind the mechanisms used by coins: for example TLV, how many people hold those volumes and how much is actually for utility. And for burning, how much was total supply, total burned, and net effect on market cap.

Just because Avalanche is experiencing an increase in the Total-Value-Locked (TVL) doesn't mean it's going to overcome those coins within the top ranks in market cap. TVL is just an indicator of how much money (or should I say tokens) are locked in "De-Fi" smart contracts. The reason why the TVL is increasing it's because AVAX has low fees and blazing-fast transactions. This attracts mainstream investors by pouring money like crazy into the protocol itself. For Avalanche to be truly successful, it needs to deliver real use cases to the mainstream world. Otherwise, it would be more of the same.

With so many smart contract platforms competing at the same time, it's hard to believe Avalanche will become the #1 cryptocurrency by market cap in the future. Bitcoin is still the leading cryptocurrency due to its first mover advantage. 2025 is just 3 years away so things will probably look the same as they are right now. What will change is that some altcoins will lose their position in market cap as hype moves on to other projects. Ultimately, it's not about the price but rather usefulness of a coin. As long as Blockchain tech fulfills its purpose, nothing else matters. Just my thoughts Grin

low fees and blazing fast, sigh. I think I first saw this claims in 2017 when every altcoin ICO was promising to be "just like Bitcoin but super fast and super cheap".

How that can ever attract investors I've no idea, without also proving security and code strength. I say proving not promising by the way because everyone promises their code is great and secure.

What is your prediction for match with Norwich in few days and do you have information what players will play?
Sportsbet was so kind to sponsor FA Cup prediction competition and give away Arsenal jacket, Southampton shirt, cash and free bets to winners.
Don't forget to make your predictions on time and good luck everyone Wink

Thank you! I think you put the wrong link but anyway it's not difficult to locate. Amazing from Betwrong to predict exact results in the last EFL contest!! Should be an easy pick tonight, I put a couple of draws copying your template but I don't think we should see any surprises tonight and all giants should progress to the quarterfinals.

City, Chelsea, Liverpool. HUGE.

And I totally disagree about not anyone being able to keep coins in their own wallet. It's actually so much easier to keep crypto in your own wallet and have a watchlist to keep an eye on it. No need logging in, 2fa, etc on an exchange to see if it's still there (and worse, even if it's still there you can't take it unless you request a withdraw).
Would really be just common sense but as a trader then its normal that our funds would be put up on a platform for better access and execution of your trading positions and if you do have those funds anytime on your

own non custodial wallet then you would surely be having that time consuming deposits of funds plus would be having that expense in speaking of fees on which this is the main reason on why they much prefer

on parking out their coins into platforms. We are all aware of possible hacks or incidents like this to happen which isnt surprising.

Well of COURSE if you're trading then you should be having your funds on the platform! But I think we're talking about very different things here. I mean of COURSE if you're trading, your funds are on exchange. If you're escrowing or gambling, your funds are with escrow or with casino. That's the risk you take when using your BTC for a service.

I'm sure we're all talking about keeping as in storing, right?
3499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 01, 2022, 11:43:45 AM
Don't forget we have one Premier League game tonight everyone. Time for me to make some serious damage, going down slowly one position at a time really hurts me!

Yeah, I hate modern day football, actually pretty much any large scale business, it's just ruthless. While, I probably wouldn't  go to the lengths of calling him a tactical genius, I think that's just media sensationalism, he was a decent manager, probably managing at the level that suits him best, and I think his tactics suited Leeds. There aren't many other managers out there that would be interested in coming to Leeds, while still being on the same level as Bielsa.

Well I wouldn't call him one either, but I don't think I'd call any manager a genius. I know a lot of highly respected managers like Poch and Guardiola rank him among the best though and a lot of managers seem to sing his praises, but a manager is only as good as the players he's got on the pitch. I think people put too much faith in managers and they're certainly an easy scapegoat when things go wrong. Always annoys me when people hype up managers and the only teams they've managed are one of the biggest clubs in the world. Go to a minnow club and achieve something with them then we'll discuss world class managers.

I also think sometimes managers are overrated, but at the same time some are underrated. At the end of the day I think managers are best when they are not 100% tacticians because of luck in football (to me anyway) but more about instilling the right team spirit and mentality, and management of players. Look at Conte. He did so well at last job Inter but he brought in a lot. Put him at Spurs and he's giving up and wanting to quit lol

Which is why I respect Klopp. Put him at Mainz, put him at BVB and put him at Liverpool when they were not at Champions League level and he took them to today. Identifying "cheap" players and making them superstars.

And that is why I arguably thought Wenger was the best in EPL. For doing the same thing for years and years. People always say Ferguson but he had galacticos in his squad. He should win!

This I believe could be Bielsa's problem also. He doesn't speak English much I understand and that's very difficult to manage an English team with a lot of British players. That's my take on it.
3500  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — Together for Ukraine 🕊️ 🇺🇦 on: March 01, 2022, 09:09:17 AM
Thank you Bitcasino for doing this. Many of us are far, far away from this event right now but if it goes bad, I believe nowhere in the world is safe from the dangers of another global conflict. I saw the people behind the wallet signatures and noticed that many of them have names that I guess sound like they are Ukrainian.

I wish the same support would always be for all countries in the world facing war.

I sent a little contribution from my Sportsbet account I hope that's fine, just a small token with a good luck number on it Smiley
