3501  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Zap wallet on: September 26, 2020, 01:32:30 PM
How long has it been since you sent the original TX?

A while.   Undecided

Quote
How large a fee was used?

"Slow"

Quote
Odd, that the TX is no longer around unless it was sent a while ago.

Essentially, there's no way to find the RAW information even though I have the TX of the transaction to create a channel.

Quote
Has this setup ever worked in opening a channel before? (If no could be other issues)

Yes, prior to this issue I had over ten channels open.

Quote
You should probably just open another channel at this point.

I thought the same, except that's how I ended up with five channels that are "pending open".

Is there any way I can "zap wallet" in a Zap Wallet?
3502  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Zap wallet on: September 26, 2020, 10:32:37 AM
How do I rebroadcast TX for channel creations?  I've got five of them that don't show up on the block-chain.
If you have the TXID(s) of the funding transaction(s), you can use https://chainquery.com/bitcoin-cli/getrawtransaction and paste them there,
or Bitcoin Core with -txindex to use the same command as the link.
You'll get the RAW transaction (in HEX) that you can use to re-broadcast using various tools like: https://blockstream.info/tx/push.

IDK if it's okay to rebroadcast an "open channel transaction" that wasn't broadcast in the first place though.

It would seem too much time has elapsed since the Zap TX occurred:

Code:
{
    "result": null,
    "error": {
        "code": -5,
        "message": "No such mempool or blockchain transaction. Use gettransaction for wallet transactions."
    },
    "id": null
}

Also, I've never been able to get my core to accept the -txindex having put it before, after and also instead of a TX.

The thread has already been removed.

According to BPIP,

One registers, then the other wakes up.  I doubt this is the end of this alt cluster.

I know I've quoted you in the past, but can't recall us ever having a conversation...  Never the less, well done on your achievement.  My rank up to Legendary was nearer the tail end of the bad of scores required (and now I'm a few merits shy of having "earned" enough merits to qualify for "hero" member the second time around.

3507  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Cryptopia] ONLINE ARTICLES related to hack &theft of funds 2020 (non discussion on: September 26, 2020, 03:12:49 AM
Sorry, when will the money be returned? I had some money there, but they are has closed

This is not a discussion thread - it is a reference thread to cover the various online articles concerning Cryptopia - please follow the links in the OP for the main discussion thread. (Or, you could try reading some of these posts and your question *might* be answered)
3508  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Interviews] with Bitcointalk members on: September 25, 2020, 12:22:56 PM
At the peak, those 2 websites were mentioned on average 11 times per post. And it would probably have been more if no posts would have been deleted.

I do recall a few of my known alts investigations containing connections via twitter (but rarely Facebook) - for a while there were a number of twitter handles that had changed hands on a few occasions.

There's still passing references to twitter in the known alts thread (but very rarely Facebook)
3509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Card counting in black jack on: September 25, 2020, 12:19:39 PM
Even without reading the article, it was easy to guess that card counting in online casinos does not provide any advantage  Cheesy
Firstly, it is obvious that in an online casino the deck is shuffled after each hand and this does not require any effort/time.
Secondly, no project in the digital world can exist if it can be "counted" and beaten. Therefore, if the casino exists, then card counting when playing in it does not provide any advantage.

It's very likely too that bogus (AI) players can be salted into games or even a hand is played between hands by the gambler (ie a hand is played invisibly and those cards are discarded after play in the same manor as the cards being played by the gambler - that way even if you think you know what cards *might* be about to be played, the invisible hand(s) could potentially remove them)
3510  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎰🦁 Haz Casino | The Best Online Casino for a Roaring Good Time! 🦁🎰 on: September 25, 2020, 07:55:50 AM
We have spoken with the support team and have identified that you were in violation of our bonus terms. You can find the breakdown of exactly why you were denied the winnings below:

10.2.9 Each bonus in Welcome Package is “sticky” and will be forfeited once you make a withdrawal request.

I'm just sitting on the sidelines and was wondering when (if at all) the € 200 does/doesn't cancel?

For example, if the user wagers the entire € 800 over a period of time and eventually has a zero balance and then adds (example) € 400 and they then win € 100, are you still going to deduct € 200 from their € 500 bringing that new balance down to € 300 ??

BUMP Friday night football, what's going to be the fall out from the Bronco's coach resigning after a disastrous first half of the season?

Reserved #4

Week 20  of the regular competition and the Brisbane Broncos went down 16 - 32 to the Townsville Cowboys.  The rest of the week-end will determine the remainder of the teams that go onto the finals begging next week.

Had anyone placed a wager for the Cowboys winning last night they paid $ 1.70 on the tab.com.au betting website.
3512  Other / Archival / Re: Why are these posts necessary? on: September 24, 2020, 08:50:59 AM
LoyceV could probably just whip up a list of one word posts such as "remove", "delete" "." or similar quite quickly I would imagine
No I can't, that would require re-scraping all posts, which takes months. I scrape unedited posts (only once per post).

Don't worry, I won't inflict such a request on you.  Cool
3513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using Locktime for inheritance planning, backups or gifts on: September 24, 2020, 07:12:52 AM
Surely if the lock down was any use, then you wouldn't need to bother with inheritance planning. Smiley

You can use the time to plan your getaway, your diversion and a place to stash your funds while in lock-down.  There are plenty of movies where the criminals plan their next heist while in lock-up, come out then go back into lock-up.
3514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to your Gambling Habit!!! on: September 24, 2020, 04:46:07 AM
so yeah never borrow money when you are going to gamble,better sell some of your things at least you are not disturbing other.

I tend to disagree - people won't stop at selling the shirt off of their own backs if they can dip into other people's funds (or their employers for example).  If you have to borrow to gamble, or sell items, then that person has a problem.
3515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Card counting in black jack on: September 24, 2020, 04:43:42 AM
Oh I wasn't pertaining to something like that, what I meant was finding a sort of rhythm when remembering to count the cards, so that it's a lot easier to remember. There's the idea of using the +1 0 -1 strategy in card counting, plus add that to a sort of rhythm that loops in your mind to remind you what cards were in the said categories, which makes card counting a lot easier imo. Apologies if I came out a bit different from what I meant to. It's like a supportive device towards the main core of your strategy in card counting.

Yeh, I think I can see where you're coming from.  One I heard a long time ago involved foot movements from back to front as a type of card counting.  I would imagine you'd have to be able to sit near perfectly still and be able to look relaxed enough that your foot moving didn't arouse suspicion. (then again replaying the activity in fast forward might give that game away)
3516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing your Crypto in Exchanges is better than using Cold Wallets! on: September 24, 2020, 02:28:43 AM

  • 3. You will only need to keep your 24 words recovery phrase and passphrase (if set)

If you were wanting to be extra secure you could hide your 12/24 words out in the open - quite literally.

Select 12/24 outdoor locations that you can memorise, spray paint a single word in each location - as large as you can - wait for a passing satellite to photograph the word - verify via Google or another aerial mapping service the word is legible (and that it is archived) - Just ensure you don't just leave 12/24 words - do dozens, if not hundreds of words, that way no one can collate the seed words and try to work out the correct combination.  (even do some of the words in duplicate locations to further confuse anyone trying to unlock the key)

You then wouldn't even need to keep the words in a "secure" location for anyone to uncover and copy because there wouldn't even be a single copy of the list.
3517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Card counting in black jack on: September 24, 2020, 01:48:20 AM
... Card counting may be done in the mind, but it still needs obvious eye movement as well as some kind of pattern or rhythm that may be helpful to you in remembering (imo that is). That, or you can just have a perfect memory, which is almost impossible.  ...

I think the problem is being over thought - you don't need to have a "perfect" memory.  Why would you want to recall a hand that was delt to you weeks ago?  It has no relevance in the here and now.  What you would need to do is be able to recall patterns first card...  first card, second card... first card, second card, third card ... and so on.

When you're driving for an hour, do you see a car, lorry, bus etc or a distinctive license plate then half an hour later, you vaguely recall that same bus, lorry, car?  I would imagine it's something like that where you only have to recall something a few moments later.
3518  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [GUIDES] on Bitcointalk. Index thread (until there is a dedicated subforum?) on: September 23, 2020, 06:58:44 AM
Just don't be hasty on learning all of the threads whether if it is a guide or not. You should start on the basic first before learning complicated things. As you mentioned that you are looking for a thread about sending a btc from your wallet to exchange or exchange to your wallet.

It's always great to know the central list of threads that can help both the newbie and us Legendaries alike.  By all means jump in an contribute as a newbie as quickly as you can but don't forget there are community expectations on your behaviour here in the Forum (which is where reading up on them is both helpful and recommended)
3519  Economy / Reputation / Re: Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III (2020 Q3) on: September 23, 2020, 01:17:19 AM
Does the thread concern exclusively alts? Or can ANN Bumping related accounts also be published?

You're spot on with your observation as you'll read below.

Preferably I'd like to see "known" or "suspected" alts listed here - with proof of course.  The example you gave is a fairly routine example (which we appreciate) of fake noise generated by sock puppets.

Just looking at the page you quote ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5266054.240 ) we can see a mix of users with Amepay the OP of the thread and GBGglenn also making comments to the other posters (and they have the highest post count).  If we were to look at all the users on that one page as a random sample, their registration and activity times via their profile page and also bpip.org , we can see the following:

    Question: - What would cause two UID's that registered nearly two and a half years apart to then became inactive within five hours of each-other (and then post just six posts apart on the one page)??

  • A new user LaraSamr is created and then four days later five UID's all wake up?  Was LaraSamr created to buy these five UID's?

Summary:

It's very likely every UID on that page is a sock puppet generating noise.

GBGglenn was identified by @marlboroza as running a ponzi on 2018-07-17 using this link: http://archive.is/4GzpT

I have not verified the assertion marlboroza makes, however it is unlikely Hasbro, the owners of the Monopoly Trade Mark would launch an ICO via this forum.

Might have to clear your cache, or refresh your browser.  I can see you have one score less than the upper limit of 1,000:
Thanks for the input, I will give it a go and see it that helps.

If you're still having issues, a work around is to replace the URL with this one: https://bpip.org/Profile?p=-CryptoViking-

Note: it's not just replacing the UID with your profile name, rather it's a totally different URL.

Other URL: https://bpip.org/Profile?id=2293893 which takes you to the same information.
