Massive DDOS on all big pools.
Everything is down.
Thanks for fast update.
When can we expect it back in order?
When the DDOSer who is probably a big miner realize that killing the pools is bad for XMR reputation and it might affect the price negatively, therefore his profit.
Exactly! Only reason pools are being attacked is because of big solo miners or other pools / private pools being greedy. Fuck them go solo Smiley

I like the spirit of solo mining but variance is a bitch and people are not gonna mine for free.
We need pools to provide a flat reward among miners according to their hashing power.

Without pools, only few rich bot-miners will get the reward.
If miners perceive the reward as unfair, the coin die.

I agree totally. However if solo miners were allowed to mine a coin without pools then its upto the individual to how much hash power they are prepared to give whether it paid or not.

Pools have ruined most coins like it or not especially multi-pools. Go back a few years that'll do me Grin

is Monero network under maintenance?
Because:
1. Rewards are delayed
2. My hashrates half-ed
3. To many errors everywhere

Massive DDOS on all big pools.

Everything is down.

Time to solo mine then Grin

Keep geting this problem when running bitmonerod. Application keeps showing red wording and disconnections.

Also dont have a c:\users\tom folder anywhere?

Any ideas anyone please. Running version 0.8.8.1

disconnects and the red errors are all normal/common - i get the same thing all the time. (That must have been the developer's build directory - c:\tom\whatever .... )

edit - once it fully syncs, they should become far less frequent. Smiley

cheers!

Thanks for your reply. Still get this problem when fully synced:

Same here - someone replied a few (hundred?) pages back that it was normal as well, something along the lines of peers flooding each other... sorry i can't remember, but yes, it's annoying but "normal" - this coin is still a WIP, as you can tell by the wallet....

Thanks so assume its still ok to mine while this is happening?

3510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore MRO/QCN/FCN/BCN GPU Miner v2.2 on: June 20, 2014, 01:13:36 PM
Can someone please tell me if there's a way to lower mining intensity? My pc display is really slow with gpu running at 100%.

I've tried using Set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 80 and it doesn't make any difference.

If I'm not mistaken you can not be using 14.6 drivers (beta) and the command is:

Setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 80

Thank you.

3513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SIM] Simcoin - A Simple Coin on: June 18, 2014, 12:16:36 AM
my reply was deleted yesterday.why BTT did that?
i just asked "where is the wallet".
yeah we can exchange the sim from 6/18.
but i cannt  find the processing on the topic.
i think the exchage platform is simple, create a coin as the dev said is diffcult.
so,who can tell me the time when the coin will launch.not the time we can exchange it. it is truely virtual now.

Original post has said very clearly
Quote
Launch Date

UNKNOWN.

Does unknown mean in the next week, month or year?

The OP and I would imagine the Dev of this coin has made 1 post and that was the very first original post giving details of this coin Roll Eyes

So you're worried about being scammed by the buyer with escrow. But you think its alright to sell without escrow. You make no sense whatsoever.

Put them on ebay and be done with it. You'll get much more than your asking here and both parties have buyer / seller protection.

Unless that is you don't even have the items and are looking to scam someone?

You could start by adding some pictures with proof that they are yours?

Another shitcoin to add to the garbage list. Who the fuck is mining this crap??

These coins are created with one thing in mind, to make the Dev and his cronies a nice profit when the first exchange opens. They don't give a fuck about the people mining it or anything past their coins being dumped.

Wake up people and smell the coffee, this rinse and repeat shit is getting really, really boring now......

Just bought some more while price is low. Everything about this setup gives me a good feeling for investment.

How are the units performing?

I'm interested in the blizzard, seems a nicely made unit and reasonably priced.

Also much cheaper to run than gpu's with similar performance.
3520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][JPC]JackpotCoin, Jackpot hit! It was 53 million, ~30 BTC! on: June 12, 2014, 12:04:40 AM
Value going down Huh. Wonder if its because jackpot won?

Started before that.  I think some is jackpot and some is people trying to acquire more coins by driving price down.

We've had lots of buy support at 45-55 so I'm sure there's plenty of room for growth.

(Maybe related to this.  It seems my staking is happening faster now.  Maybe less people keeping JCP in their wallets in order to play the markets or sell? Either way I am happy I didn't move them from my wallet now)

Same here keeping coins for staking Smiley
