No. There is no need to do extensive research to find this forum. Here is a little experiment we can do. If you click on one of these links, can you let us know what you get as your first search result?

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=bitcoin+forum
https://www.google.com/search?q=bitcoin+forum
https://www.bing.com/search?q=bitcoin+forum
https://yandex.com/search/?text=bitcoin+forum

Exactly. You just confirmed my words. Everyone who knows how to use the search correctly, the forum, is issued in the first positions. But the problem is that today, social networks have flooded all the interests of young people. Communication in two or three phrases will not give a normal understanding of cryptocurrencies. And until someone who asks questions like "what is bitcoin" or "how to earn bitcoin" does not change search queries, he will stumble upon Twitter, or group telegrams, in which there is a lot of noise, but there is no specific information. The problem is not the forum, the problem is the people.
3502  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Useful Bot for reverse image search or find fake team photos. on: February 02, 2022, 09:06:48 AM
I tried this bot, and it didn't seem to be a quick search, unfortunately.
I would recommend for Chromium extension called "Search by image" I understand that not everyone trusts extensions of any kind. This is an open-source project, where everything is available to those who understand it for a full check. Moreover, there are a lot of options for reverse search, and the entire search is done with the click of a button, without unnecessary gestures. Updates come out regularly, and as much as I do photo searches, this is the best I've ever used.

3503  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why the reduced publicity? on: February 01, 2022, 02:51:13 PM
In my opinion, people come to the forum who can use the Internet search well. More precisely, these people are not new to the network. Today, the Internet is divided into many interests. But most use it as entertainment. Therefore, those who are interested in any topic will check all the links that the search engine provides to them. If someone does not stumble upon a forum from the first three or four links, this does not mean that the forum is difficult to find. Cryptocurrency enthusiasts are bound to stumble upon this forum, as we are always interested in getting more information and do not stop at resources.
But others are interested in material gain. Such people get on the forum on advice.
BUT again, to those who are looking for, the forum always goes forward. Otherwise, how would everyone else get here?
3504  Economy / Reputation / Re: abuse of trust Bounty Manager joeperry on: February 01, 2022, 09:31:37 AM
At least there should be consideration,. right! because this is just a small mistake, similarity article,,,if I am proven to have violated the <ALT ACCOUNT> campaign rules then I am ready to be TAG,,.! but this is just a resemblance article, .! I don't understand who gave him the rights as a DT, .!

The more managers we have who are not too lazy to look closely at the reports of bounty hunters, the more DT will give them the right to be part of DT.
joeperry, I'm also adding you to my trust list. To be honest, I didn't expect you to be so attentive to hunter reports. This is serious work. Please accept my respect. Yesterday, when I saw the copied reports, I thought that a lot of people are doing this, we just don't pay attention to it. Cheaters have realized that they are being caught for multi-accounts, and now they have come up with new tricks. But thanks to joeperry for making this trick known.
3505  Other / Archival / Re: Should the link to the source be visible or should it be present? on: February 01, 2022, 09:11:36 AM
Best option for the newbies is to go with options 2

It is also important to consider that a simply copied post with a provided link, but without their own comments, many moderators agree to accept it as a low-quality post. I have reported a few, and if the discussion does not continue, then such posts are simply deleted.
3506  Other / Meta / Re: Report plagiarism (copy/paste) here. Mods: please give temp or permban as needed on: February 01, 2022, 08:20:28 AM

The same site is listed in his forum profile [I'm just not sure how the forum rules about plagiarism work when you don't link to your own article].

The rules may work so that this account may be banned. In my reporting history, unfortunately, I can no longer show an example. There was a user who copied posts from Reddit to the forum. The nickname was the same, including the avatar. I showed some of his forum posts to the moderators without providing links. His account has been banned.
He did not file any appeal. He could probably prove his involvement in the Reddit account by making a note in it that he is the same owner of the forum account. Surely this method is applicable in this case.

Decentralized lending systems :

which in fact, is one of the main use cases for DeFi today. The system is simple: if a person wants a loan and wants to use their cryptocurrencies as collateral or guarantee, they can do so without problems. The system works in a very similar way to FinTechs or traditional finance. But DeFi tends to offer better interest terms, and loans are generally approved almost instantly. Gone are the hours in the bank, sending digital documents and waiting days for a response, with DeFi you just have to interact with the DApp , make the required guarantee deposit and you will have in your possession the money you have required in loan, and all in a few minutes.

Decentralized markets:

Another use case for DeFi is decentralized markets. Creations such as decentralized exchanges (DEX), investment pools, financial derivatives, staking systems, prediction markets, and more are possible thanks to DeFi.

Payment systems:

another use that is given to DeFi is that of payment systems. The characteristics of these platforms allow them to be a trustworthy bridge to process payments from different blockchain making use of an external, decentralized and autonomous infrastructure.
Banking and insurance services: Another use of DeFi is to offer “banking” type services without being exactly a bank. For example, there are DeFi protocols that allow their users to make a certain investment. But after a while, you can receive this investment with a profit margin, and all thanks to the interest that it has generated. But not only that, but there are also systems that allow the issuance of stable coins (stablecoins), as well as digital identification systems and financial insurance.

At this point it is clear that the potential of DeFi to offer services and solutions is varied, as varied as the inventiveness of the people who develop such systems.

https://academy.bit2me.com/en/what-is-defi-or-decentralized-finance/

It can work without the need for adequate infrastructure. It simply decentralizes the world economy and provides viable economic activity for everyone around the world. Public blockchains can be used effectively to replace the traditional financial system and make them transparent, decentralized, and permissionless.

3507  Other / Archival / Re: Should the link to the source be visible or should it be present? on: February 01, 2022, 07:44:26 AM
I think you shouldn't play around like that and tempt the moderators. If someone finds plagiarism with such a link, you just need to report it, with a visible link to the source. You should not create inconvenience for verification, and the one who decides to "joke" like this and hide links should be punished, and after that think whether it was worth appropriating and hiding other people's texts.

I can see how the moderators handle reports in the ban thread. If there is solid evidence, for which you do not need to climb into a separate topic, accounts are blocked instantly. The same is true with plagiarism. If you don't want to be banned, provide a visible link.

On the other hand, mk4 recently complained about a post that had a hidden link (for safety I will not show the link) And the account was banned.
3508  Economy / Reputation / Re: Just a Conjecture - Suspicious Activity Pattern! on: January 31, 2022, 02:42:35 PM
I try to see other Addresses used by:@HardCore12V and also the transactions they do through bscscan.com.

And try to understand the rules in the campaign managed by: @masulum.

PARTICIPANTS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED IF:
CAMPAIGN RULES CLEARLY PROHIBITED BITCOINTALK/ALT ACCOUNTS.

YOSHIE, OK, Thanks, I've tagged those 4 accounts. I see that the manager disqualified them. But there are also still
other alternative accounts of this farm. But if the manager has confirmed that his rules prohibit alternative accounts, you can fairly leave reviews. Another strange thing is that this manager has an account with a negative mark, which once again indicates that there are exceptions for not entirely honest people. In fact, the rules are very flexible, as they can be interpreted in different ways. But again, the manager agrees that there was a violation.
I would be grateful if other accounts are also thoroughly checked
3509  Economy / Reputation / Re: Account seller. on: January 31, 2022, 01:25:05 PM

Here I will say this is my real account, Since it was active again, there is no suspicious activity in my account, such as a recent change of Email or Password.

You will probably be surprised that the forum knows about all the tricks of sellers and buyers regarding password and mail changes. This secret was told by one of those who bought accounts through a Telegram group.
This account has been transferred since last month. I'm the new owner and I don't know what's going on right now.

Are you sure you bought this account last month ? Even if you did, you trust the seller and still not change the password for your account ?
The last password reset was in 2019.

There is a rule that is not to change the password after buying an account. I'm complying so this account isn't locked.

Therefore, the fact that your mail and password have not changed has long ceased to be a relevant argument.

Also, very striking is the receipt of merit from the seller of accounts. Admit it, you also bought merit? How quickly did the donor give you merits? As I assume, it takes at least some time to read the post, and then give merit. It also looks like a purchase.

It's true that trust systems are not moderated but when they use that power to tag someone in good faith [like informing them of the existence of this thread] then that power should be revoked. Other than that I'm not urging the OP to do it, it's just a suggestion from me.  Wink

I am unsure that ever happened. Anybody who gets a negative tag for sending unsolicited PMs is probably deserving of it.

As for your proposal, you are free to do it yourself. You can send PMs to your friends or members you are close with, I don't believe anyone will tag you or report you to a moderator for that. However, sending mass PMs to a large number of random forum members with whom you have no previous contact is not recommended.

No, not always the one who sends an invitation to PM deserves a negative tag. I'll be more specific. Some time ago, an interview was conducted with forum users. Out of good intentions, the interview organizer sent personal invitations to everyone. And one day he got a negative tag from a DT member.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=2654005
The man felt he was being forced to take part. It took a while to change the review to neutral. Why bother once again people who are not ready to do something?
I also agree that this vote should be free participation. If someone does not want to write there, do not force him. Moreover, META is the central place of the forum, which most of the participants know about. And all the events there are unlikely to go unnoticed.
3511  Other / Meta / Re: Report marked as bad - clarification? on: January 30, 2022, 03:19:39 PM
On the other hand, the post about which I wrote above that this is necroposting was successfully deleted, as were a few more off-topic posts.
Perhaps we should unravel the strategy of the moderators. If we see an answer to a post that was created many years ago, it will be deleted, and if there is empty chatter about the same thing, it is considered a conversation.  Smiley

Also, regarding quoting. To quote a post three years ago implies necroposting.

@Awaklara, I think you should add this member to the list:

Gorosden

It's already on the list.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5383519.msg59111225#msg59111225

I have been watching this company for a long time, so as you can see the list is quite large. Now they have split their transactions into several wallets, but if someone finds their violation in the bounty, where the participation of alternative accounts is prohibited, it is easy to tag them.
The bounty   [BOUNTY] CYBERTRADE $CCASH - MMO RPG Metaverse - TW/CHAT/AR/TR/SIG Campaign seems to allow alts to participate. They are quite cunning, as they avoid violations very beautifully. If you forget about the fact that they continue to exchange merits.

It is undeniable that disclosing the Merit exchange is not as easy as I thought and it may be true that it cannot be used as absolute evidence If only based on Merit parameters. Also, Don't get me wrong that the topic I bring up is Just a Conjecture, maybe all data just be coincidence. However, at least this data can be used as a reference for the future.

No, no, no, it's not a coincidence. Did you see the link I linked to? These cheaters have become more accurate. If earlier, they got caught, dropping all the tokens into one wallet. It's hard enough to track them down now, as tactics have changed.
But it's just a matter of time. Experience shows that the one who cheats will make a mistake, after which all accounts will be painted with a negative tag.

But even now, based on the dates of registration, and the transfer of merits, we can conclude that this is no coincidence.
If only diligently not to believe in it.
3516  Economy / Reputation / Re: Just a Conjecture - Suspicious Activity Pattern! on: January 30, 2022, 05:29:44 AM
This is most likely case of alt accounts that are all controlled by one member, because they are all participating in same BlocKx campaign with same signature, and merit exchange is one more indicator.
Manager of that campaign should do much better job controlling that, if he even cares about that, but for absolute proof you would need address or social media accounts connection.

In fact, everything is much more serious and extensive.
This is an old farm I discovered earlier.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5319507.msg56419203#msg56419203

They have changed some of their actions, but they are all well traceable.
Merits are transferred only to their alternative accounts.
Most posts are now written in topics about mining.

Notice how they share merits.

The moderators likely decided that the topic continues to be discussed. Although the OP itself has not been active for several months.
I also assume that if a topic consists of a question, then it must have some kind of lifespan. And this question has already been exhausted for today.
