3501  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is Theymos really a lauda? on: March 12, 2021, 10:48:28 AM
Before

In an anonymous place you can create any imaginary character and can build up a reputation. I always spotted Lauda as a feminine character and theymos as a male.

theymos and Lauda is the same person will be interesting (not saying they are). Having such a level of intellectual, theymos can easily create a character of his own which could be disconnected from his real theymos account.

After

What were we talking about? :-D

3508  Economy / Reputation / Re: The AdkinsBET Army of Alts on: March 10, 2021, 06:38:24 PM
snip
Just to be clear before anything else. I am very careful about leaving any feedback to any account's trust page. It could be positive, neutral or even negative. If you notice, I rarely send out positive feedback to the people who borrow from my lending business. There are some limits (only I decide and other guys do not have any sign about it) and when it crosses my limit then I go and leave feedback. It's fine to leave feedback to an account which has done few grands of trades with you. They automatically earn it. The same with negative. If anyone defaults a loan or any trade with me, I give them enough time just to make sure that I am not harming them. When things become very clear that they do not have any intention to pay back, and I believe 100% that I am correct only then I leave negative.

I also believe that giving out negative very easily eventually harm the system. It becomes less important when mass people start receiving tags for doing little mistakes like leaving out some opinion that is not globally accepted like the flat earth believers, or giving some opinion, and later it found out that it was wrong.

But in the case of Adkinsbet we all know that we did not tag them after popping up one or two accusations. There were accusations after accusations and most of these accusations were looking very legit. The accusers were giving enough proofs that adkinsbet were not able to defend them anymore at some point. And not to mention the case of realscout. I knew about it from the very beginning as he was always telling me that they are holding his winning and making one after anther excuses. Even they were so scammy that at some point they changed his selections just to give him a reason that it was a lost bet.

So there were no questions about Adkkinsbet were selectively scamming.

Now let's talk about those puppet accounts. Those were the accounts who were defending every wrong doings by adkinsbet from the very beginning. When a legendary member, hero member leave a positive input, defend a business - newbies and people on the web who do not have much idea how to look at the history of a user accept those input as granted and do the business with that service site.

Using those shill accounts adkinsbet scammed all those users on the forum which is a no-brainer. And look at them, still those accounts are shamelessly defending adkinsbet as if they do not know anything and adkinsbet are the one who are victims here.

Allowing those accounts freely making comments about defending adkinsbet meaning we are giving adkinsbet the platform to take advantage again.

Actmyname has made references to how easy it is for a scammer to just switch accounts, create a new alt, or buy a high ranking account, and keep promoting the same scam.

Shilling from a brand-new account and shilling from a higher rank account has difference. And when another high rank account pops up - we may not spot it immediately but sooner or later they will be spotted and doing the same action against that high rank account will be the right thing I guess.

Update:
All the following users has been tagged:
BlackFor3st, ronaldo40, wildan88, sempak, Cacingkemi, BitcoinAccepted, MI6, deadthings, aomakun, BTCGOLD, imutlinda, cutesgirl, codegnome, coin.princess

Source: Opposing the flag against adkinsbet.
This does not mean that just because you opposed the flag, you got tagged.

I do not have much time to look each and every account's post history and to find other users who are regularely defending adkinsbet with their statements. So I have chosen the shortcut. If any of the above account does not have any post that is defending adkinsbet, and it is not older than last 30 days then PM me I will remove the tag.
3509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India to regulate Bitcoin?Good news for crypto enthusiast on: March 08, 2021, 04:52:40 PM
I hope that's a real news and Indian Authority is taking Crypto positively. Whatever I heard on the forum were negative so far. Good luck to all Indian Bitcoiners.

PS: India is a large country and considering population in there - having a positive eye on crypto is very helpful for crypto community.
3510  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: most amazing picture I have ever seen on: March 08, 2021, 04:47:30 PM
it happened to me too. almost in 90% of my trading activity.
please let me know if you want to sell some coins in the future, so I can hold mine, like a reverse signal Cheesy
LOL
I like the sarcasm. FYI, I have sold some ADA at $1.035 a few weeks ago and then the price went over $1.50 in the next few days :-D

So, if you have ADA then hold them :-P

PS: Those ADA were a sudden discover on the other day. I did not know that I had those. They were bought in last January 2018 and I forgot about them all those days until a few weeks before I sold them.
3511  Economy / Reputation / Re: The AdkinsBET Army of Alts on: March 08, 2021, 04:42:17 PM
Maybe we need a new community rule.
If anyone support AdkinsBET and make posts to promote AdkinsBET then tag them.

If someone support a scam, but they did not scam anyone directly then what do we do. Just leave them to support and help a proven scammer?

I would appreciate inputs from everyone on this.

Cheers,
3512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL 2021: Entry free discussion and participants drafts on: March 08, 2021, 04:36:38 PM
$20 is a reasonable amount, but this could dissuade some participants from participating. I still feel that $10 should be the entry fee just like last year since a bullish market doesn't necessarily mean that all investors profited from it.

The lower entry fee could help accumulate more participants which could probably be more profitable when compared to fewer participants paying a higher entry fee. Just my 2 cents.
I think $20 would not look much of an amount if we are able to manage some good amount of prize money from the sponsors. Imagine a pot worth of $2k or $3k. You are being a part of it by paying only $20 which is a lot if one consider the return.

Anyway guys, let's focus on finding sponsors now.

3513  Economy / Reputation / Re: [self mod] Flag to user DarkStar_ on: March 08, 2021, 04:31:50 PM
There are more Russian users on this forum than all the others combined.
If I am not wrong then Turkish local had a good number of users. Maybe LoyceV can confirm it with his stats.

Anyway, I do not think it's none of ours business of who will be in a campaign and who won't be in the same campaign. DarkStar_ is getting paid to this job and let him decide how he wants. I do not see any problem here.

On a side note: I do not think there are many people who would manage a serious campaign like Chipmixer for this long period of time. When there is a position open we see hundreds of application and picking up one or two good users is not an easy job. Chipmixer campaign discovered many talents. Yes there were some discrete incidents of abusing the campaign (for example figmentofuckmyass) but those users were too smart to hide their wrongdoings. DarkStars_'s integrity was no way near to question. No disrespects to yahoo and Hhampuz. They are also the best in the campaigns they manage.

Anyway, I left my 2 cents on this topic and I do not think there are much talk left from me. I am out now.

I ask all who are not indifferent to support my flag for user DarkStar_
I do not think this flag needs any support or oppose. That's not why the flag system has been created. Please read the topic about Trust flag. DarkStar_ did not scam anyone or stole money from anyone.

Quote
It looks like user DarkStar_ is a racist. His attitude towards people depends on their nationality. I consider it necessary to warn everyone else about this user.
Coming down to this. Just because he removed some local participants and not finding suitable users from the local board does not mean someone is racist. I bet there are plenty of local boards where no participants are in Chipmixer, does that make DarkStar_ is racist? No, of course it does not.
3516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL 2021: Entry free discussion and participants drafts on: March 08, 2021, 11:47:41 AM
So many options for payment coins. I liked the idea how tipping on stake, going with USDT TRC20 token is also fine, but I need to go with one alternative so that I do not need to give bunches of addresses to send the entry fees. I hope going with LTC and BTC is very practical in this case. And like I said, all the LTC will be converted to BTC once everyone will make their payments or after the fast few matches when it's confirmed that there will be no more participants.

So let's close the discussion about accepted coin.

We are accepting LTC and BTC. Before two weeks of the opening match I will post the address on this topic to collect the entry fees.

For entry fees, let's go with $20. I think this is fair considering the bullish market. Two weeks before I will calculate what will be the BTC and LTC amount for the entry fees and will post it on the same topic.

Now I need you guys to help me on finding sponsors. My goal is to manage a main sponsor who will put minimum $2k in the prize pot and for the side sponsors (4 small banners at the bottom) maybe $300 each?

3517  Economy / Speculation / Re: If the FBI wallet with 141,000 bitcoins was stolen what would happen? :o on: March 08, 2021, 07:50:48 AM
How would we know that FBI controls those coins. Is there any official statement? Sorry, I was not aware of such things.

Assuming it's in their control - if anything happens to those coins, I do not think anything will happen in the current market. Maybe the worse will be a little price drop.

But it will be interesting how they have secured the private key. In fact, I always wonder how do these whales with hundreds and thousands of coins in their wallet maintain their wallet. Don't the feel scared when they send the coins to the exchanges for a trade and things like that?
3518  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: ledger device is not genuine on: March 08, 2021, 07:40:08 AM
Hi guys,

when I try to use ledger live app and connect my ledger nano s device to the computer, its get fail and genuine check doesn't pass.

I bought my device 2 years ago and there was no genuine check in wallet application at that time. I have some bitcoin on this wallet and I am not sure is my device genuine or not ? is it possible that my wallet has been compromised? Angry
First thing is first, if you know any address that has balance in it then using the explorer check if it still has the balance. If it's there then we can be sure that your coins were not stolen.

A device can be faulty, and I guess if it was faulty then it will fail the genuine check stage.

I hope you have the seed and the pin written on a paper or anywhere. If nothing works then order a new one from the official Ledger site and try to restore the wallet using the same seed and pin.
3519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 8,000 bitcoin Lost because of the blue death screen. on: March 08, 2021, 07:35:52 AM
When I read such a story like the OP I get confused to take which side to take. There are one side who are sceptical and there are another side who think this could be true. I did not do much research, but I trust Andzhig and nutildah are right.

We can not ignore the fact that in the early time most of the people in the bitcoin ecosystem did not care much about it since there were no value for Bitcoin. We know about the guy in Ireland or Scotland who threw away his hard drive with 7,500 BTC and many more sad stories. Only one and two stories we know maybe those came to forums and mainstream media, but there could be thousands of stories if not millions that they lost their coin for any given reason. I, too, lost some, but it was not much so never talked about it.

Anyway, never mind.
3520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL 2021: Entry free discussion and participants drafts on: March 07, 2021, 06:09:08 PM
It seems having an alternative payment method is public demand now, I understand it's practical too. So, I will have an LTC address which will be a temp address. Once all payments are received then I will transfer the LTC to any exchange and convert them into BTC at the rate on that day.

Hope this way we will be able to take care of the high fees issue.
