She's an elected official, she refuses to do her job, refuses to resign, she can't be fired, thus ends up in jail. I don't think she deserves to be in jail but she needs to leave her religious bullshit at the door where it belongs. Here, in France, the gun control laws are quite restrictives. Also medias are spreading the idea that it is impossible to get a gun, while it's not so hard if you don't want something too powerful or too recent (Sovietics snipers are easy to get with an hunting license).
Get a hunting license. Don't worry, I have already one, with plenty of guns  . I have a preference for rifles, but handguns are cool too ! However with an hunting license, you can only have .22LR handguns  ! To have something more powerful, you have to apply at the Town Hall. Then an analysis is done from three weeks to a few monthes to know if you have a "clean" mind. Then you can freely buy up to 12 "B category" guns (which contains handguns and assault rifle like AK-47s). 12 is not a lot  ... Do the test then. Criminals don't bother waiting for a license or do a "clean mind" test. |

But they are right in a sense, if you have a car accident or fall in the middle of the street, there are morons taking your picture and video, that's not Google or Youtube fault. This is what comes with technology as it advances, for many cases it amplifies human stupidity. You can't educate everyone and tell them it's rude to do that, however you can REGULATE it and make it illegal. That's my point, it's a fine line and it's not always black and white. One can even argue that the ones taking the picture have a right to do so...so privacy as we knew it is long gone. You are being filmed and tracked almost everywhere either by government, companies or people itself. You cannot create rules and force people to have empathy toward other humans. I suspect that whether it's Bush or Obama collecting this stuff via the NSA, it's most likely being warehoused for when the wheels finally fall off this economy and the currency. On one hand, they want to know who the patriots are who have weapons at their disposal or the wherewithal to fight back. On the other, they want to scope out the dependent classes whom are likely to be a major problem in riots to come when the checks stop coming or are worthless. Just a thought.

More than 20 people are injured after a shooting at a community college in Oregon Thursday morning, officials told the Daily News. Preliminary information indicates 10 people were killed and more than 20 others injured in a shooting at Oregon’s Umpqua Community College on Thursday morning, Oregon State Police spokesman Bill Fugate told CNN. The shooter was reported as “down,” with no further details immediately available, said Douglass County commissioner Chris Boice. One female was shot in the chest on the Roseburg campus, and 20 people were reported as “injured,” he said. Umpqua Community College is a posted Gun Free Zone. With the college security page stating the following: “Possession, use, or threatened use of firearms (including but not limited to BB guns, air guns, water pistols, and paint guns) ammunition, explosives, dangerous chemicals, or any other objects as weapons on college property, except as expressly authorized by law or college regulations, is prohibited. Possession of knives with a blade longer than 4” is prohibited. Brandishing weapons is prohibited. Misuse of personal defensive weapons – e.g., pepper spray, etc. is prohibited. The owner is responsible and accountable for any misuse of these devices.” The college is located on the North Umpqua River and serves Roseburg and the greater Douglas County area.
