3501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen when BTC hits max number of coins on: September 09, 2017, 11:03:27 PM
The number of bitcoins is fixed and estimated to hit the taget in 2140. What do you think will happen then?

Such topics were already. Ways collect BTC:
1. Earn Bitcoins by accepting them as a means of payment

2. Earn free Bitcoins by performing tasks on websites

3. Earn Bitcoins by paying interest%

4. Earn Bitcoins through mining

5. Earn Bitcoins through grants and "tips"

6. Earn Bitcoins through trading

7. Bitcoins as regular income

8. Earn Bitcoins by gambling for everyone

I think you got the wrong thread. This thread is about the max number of bitcoin, while you are talking about ways of earning them.

I think if the max supply of bitcoin was reached, there will be a lot of pump because of the demands of the users. There will be a smaller fee and I think there will be less confirmations.
3502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: September 09, 2017, 12:53:14 PM
I gamble for both !
Gambling is so amazing as a game and passtime, as much it is an important source of money if you're  Lucky.

The thing is gambling is not close for being a reliable source of money or income since we don't know when will or will be lucky to win in gambling because it all brought hardship to the ones who got addicted and rely on it. I am a gambler and I know how much I am so unlucky and lost a lot of balance because of hoping that I will win even a small amount.
3503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin's price volatility affect your gambling habits? on: September 08, 2017, 04:09:54 PM
So does this factor affect how you gamble?

If prices go up, do you lower you bets? For example, you normally bet 0.001 per bet, do you lower it to 0.0001 per bet?

If prices go down, do you place higher bets? For example, you normally bet 0.001 per bet, do you place higher bets like 0.01 per bet?

I guess it affects me but not that much since I just gamble using small amount of my bitcoin. I am also scared of what may happen to my bitcoins since I am planning to keep and save them for a short period of time this year.

If the price go up, I am lucky if I have some balance in my wallet on gambling sites, still goes up or it goes down, I will be using it to gamble.

3505  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: September 05, 2017, 02:54:10 PM
in my opinion, decided to stop working to focus for the bitcoin it was not necessary. as long as you can divide your work time
your current job keeps going and to add your financial income to play in bitcoin, will not it be more profitable?

I think you will be just wasting your time if you will be "playing" your bitcoins, rather than focussing on the way you will be having a comfortable and exquisite life, you are focussing on the other side with completely unstable and still not proven
3506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: September 05, 2017, 02:47:26 PM
Children no need know about bitcoin right now . After they growing up then they will received information anywhere and anytime . If i want explain to my children , i will say bitcoin is online cash with online wallet . i can using it to buy something from who will accept bitcoin .

Children is a no go with bitcoin. They will be dead bored if you will be talking about bitcoin and investing, but it is the opposite on the teenagers since they are close to what we call the reality principle.

Also, with how you will be explaining bitcoin to your children, better point them out some sites that will be helping them rather than giving explanations complicated like what you have said.
3507  Economy / Economics / Re: Maybe governments can stop bitcoin after all on: September 05, 2017, 02:40:12 PM
The government wants to control bitcoin and soon if several more countries ban it, the price may drop significantly. Bitcoin has grown very well and is a huge competition for the banking system.

I don't know why people say this things like government will control bitcoin etc. You think bitcoin will be decentralized and stay decentralized all this years if the government know this will happen? And now that they know that, why aren't they having any movement about it? It is a huge threat to the banks but government don't really cared about it. They are happy collecting taxes so they are all good.
3508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know whether its your lucky day? on: September 05, 2017, 02:35:22 PM
The answer is simple - your lucky day is when you win more than lose. I call it a lucky day if I manage to double my initial bankroll - that is all I care about.
Yes. You are lucky because you won. I don't believe luckyness because true lucky is that in how you play every game so you should always work well to become lucky in every game.
You don't believe in luck but you believe in true luck? Luck is a belief, if you think that you are luck enough it will reflect with the result when you gamble. No matter how good you are, how skilled you are. Times of luck and unluck is there. And that's your lucky day when you're in good mood because you've got green stats.
True luck and luck is obviously the same. As you've said, luck is a belief and it is like a superstition of an individual that is passed like it is true but the truth is, we don't have any evidence and scientific explanation about it. I will just hang on my skill and experience rather than hope that I am a lucky gambler.
3509  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin benefit of saving for a long time? on: September 05, 2017, 02:12:55 PM
they keep bitcoin in their wallet for long periods of time because they expect that bitcoin price in the future, it can multiply many times the current price

Well this is certain because bitcoin now is having a lot of users because of the prediction that it will be having a price a lot more than the current price. A lot of people use bitcoin, so there is a lot of development that needs to be done and I think the more the demand, the more the price, the more it is good to save bitcoin for the future.
3510  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I cash out my BTC now? on: September 05, 2017, 01:42:42 PM
I highly suggest that you must do your own research instead on relying on the community for your money (maybe you will blame us for your loss  if the value goes up and down.) Just read and read on what is happening to Bitcoin and just do your own risk making.

I think there is nothing wrong with this kind of questions, the reason this is a forum still you have your point. Most of the users here in the forum rely on others suggestions and do not do something themselves to help theirselves make themselves earn a good number of profit.
3511  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: September 04, 2017, 10:45:46 PM
I think that some Bitcoin users had the chance to become rich these days. Or not maybe rich but very well settled. The price is going crazy and if they have decent amount of coins, especialy if they bought them when the price was 450 or 600$ they could make a very nice profit. It's important to set your goal and doing everything to reach that goal.

I think that is the problem because many thought that time that it will be the end of bitcoin when it dump back to $600. They don't think that bitcoin will be having a great pump in the future. Many people where disappointed when they knew that it will be having a nore higher that the usual price. And now it is so expensive and veey hard to buy one.
3512  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: September 04, 2017, 01:47:10 PM
Because Bitcoin have the promising and powerful potential a lot more and better than cash and fiat. The Bitcoin price is increasing quickly and highly, while the fiat price is almost stable or having very slow increasing .

But the thing is, we just know that bitcoin is being powerful and promising since we are seeing the equivalent price of it in the terms of fiats. Also, we can't really use bitcoin in one's country so we still convert bitcoin into fiat. We can say that we are fotunate to have a lot of bitcoin because if we convert them all, we will be having a lot of fiats in our hands, so I can only say that I still need fiat even if we have a lot of Bitcoins.
3513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: September 04, 2017, 01:28:45 PM
I've been talking about Bitcoin to family, friends and random people for years and nobody seemed to mind when BTC was under $1000. But now that Bitcoin has reached $2000, people are starting to realize that owning 1 BTC is beginning to be out of reach for the average person.

I've had more people ask me about Bitcoin lately and wanted help buying Bitcoins. What about you?

about me? i try again and again to spread my knowledge in bitcoin to my friends but its a waste of time, they totally dont want to know about it and has a negative feedback. they always says that bitcoin is a networking, that when you do not have a referrals you cant get profit, and dont ever do tell it gain about bitcoin, something like that, so i decide not to force them and wait the moment that i change my life in bitcoin, if that happen i think they will open their mind to believe in me.

I think there are a lot of people saying that, there are some pyramiding scams that happened in bitcoin in the past so we can't blame them. Also, we don't need to pay a lot of attention to them since we are busy earning them. I just tell someone who ask me about bitcoin that it is a great investment that it may give a good profit in the future, as far as I can remember, no one ever had a follow up question about that.
3514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best (safest) way to store BitCoin for the longer term? on: September 04, 2017, 10:36:37 AM
How about Electrum wallet? I'm planning to use, is it safe to save my bitcoin here and hold it for longer term, just like the thread starter i just want to  know if it is really good on saving my coins offline.

Electrum wallet is the best and safest place to keep your bitcoins safe as I am using it from the day I came to know about bitcoins and never saw any coins missing from my wallet and your coins will be intact if you follow the basic steps to store them and it won't be easy for anyone to hack your wallet and steal your coins.

Yeah, been keeping my Bitcoins here for a long time now. I wrote my private key in my favorite place so I can't forget where I put it. I just use my bitcoin wallet exchanger when I will be converting some of my bitcoin into fiat. But I think this depends on how you will be taking care of your bitcoin and it don't really depend on what kind of wallet you use.
3515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why now is the time to invest in Bitcoin on: September 03, 2017, 02:13:36 PM
Because actually Bitcoin is the first used crypto currency, having the price increasing highly since a while, and it is expected to be even higher in the near future, so it is always better to invest in Bitcoin instead the other unstable coins.

If you will be looking at it carefully, bitcoin seems to unstable too like other altcoins still bitcoin now is being improved with a lot of BIP proposals coming. This upcoming month another debate will be coming and maybe another fork will be happening, I think this is one of the reasons we need to invest on this digital currency, it is being improved.
3516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: September 03, 2017, 11:03:07 AM
I think that the best way to stop gambling once you got addicted is to first of all, give the funds you got left to your friend to keep it away from you.

Admit that you have a problem , and also realize that the house always win, gambling is for entertainment and you will never be able to walk out of the casino as a winner, the casino always win and that's how they make their money.

I think you can't fully rely on your friends since you have your family. Family is the most usual microsystem, or the most immediate environment of one individual. You can rely on them and you can always open up yourself to them.

I am not saying that you can't do that with your friends, it is that you can have a good push if you are being supported by your family and friends. The more you have a supporter, the harder the push to get you out of your addiction.
3517  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Speculating A Bad Thing? on: September 03, 2017, 10:29:28 AM
I think Speculating is a not bad thing but I think this still depends on how we use our speculations, but since we are talking about speculating prices and stuffs, there is no bad thing there. We are making a fortune out of predictions and speculations, bitcoin is so volatile so we must have a speculation or a prediction to match what might happen and use that to earn ourselves great profit.
3518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: September 03, 2017, 09:28:02 AM
There is an easy solution: ignore them!:) Most of these people are close minded and know nothing or almost nothing about Bitcoin so there is no need to do anything with them.

I know right? Why do we need to force them to use bitcoin if they don't like it. They will be either ask me to death to ask how to use them or ask me how to use and where to buy them, either of the two, I will be pointing this forum out. Also, if they don't realize how much millionaires bitcoin made in just a few years, I think they can scram out of it.
3519  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are bitcoins only for the educated and knowledgeable people only? on: September 03, 2017, 12:54:16 AM
For me, it isn't. We have different talent and knowledge on how we give and do stuff that we love. Bitcoins are for everyone and we have the chance to try or even have this to earn and save money for our future.

How about you guys? Is it only for the educated and knowledgeable people only?

Why would you say that? I am not that educated and I am not that knowledgeable still I can use bitcoin without a problem or getting any issues with it. I think you are saying this because most of people who told you about bitcoin has their own Signature Campaign to join and being paid by how the way they post, right?
3520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone breakdown / explain the Mempool? on: September 02, 2017, 11:11:05 PM
Mempool graph ---> https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#24h

I've been doing quite a bit of research on the Mempool.. still dont feel like I have the best understanding of it. From what I understand the mempool will tell you how many transactions, unconfirmed and pending transactions.

On the graph that says unconfirmed now there's roughly 1800 unconfirmed transactions @ 5 sat/b, how do I know if that a lot or not many? How do I gauge what sat/b fee I'd want to pay?

On the graph that says pending. At 10 sat/b there is roughly 2.3 BTC pending, how do I gauge if this is a lot or not?

The last graph is mempool size in KB. At 20 sat/b there is roughly 1,700kb, once again how do I know if this a a lot?

I feel like I can read the graph it just don't mean much to me at this point. If someone could explain or direct me to a link that could explain I'd appreciate it.

I am not that good with this, but I can give you a site. All I can say is that this site might not give you all the answers to your questions but I think it might help you with something. Hope it helps. https://99bitcoins.com/what-is-bitcoin-mempool/amp/
