3521  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Big Problem with Electrum Wallet on: December 03, 2020, 11:34:28 PM
No, sorry. The address that I entered on the website is still the same. But it seems that is not belonging to me, even if I carefully copy-pasted in from my 4.02 electrum wallet.
I have just checked my OS for viruses, fake apps etc. Nothing shows up
Apart from
1. A hacker hijacking your website or servers and then changing the address into his if your website's security is weak
2. Importation of your wallet using different address formats or derivation paths
3. Clipboard hijacking malware.

I don't see how it's a problem of electrum wallet.
3522  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Big Problem with Electrum Wallet on: December 03, 2020, 10:53:53 PM
Let me get this right.

You say, you put in an address you generated from your wallet a few days back on to your website but now the address appearing there is totally different from the ones currently in the wallet?

3523  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet stuck in a state of synchronizing. on: December 03, 2020, 10:39:22 PM
You can also check your internet connection speed if it's good enough. It could be the problem
3524  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Big Problem with Electrum Wallet on: December 03, 2020, 10:30:40 PM
Copy-pasting alone without verifying the address does not guarantee that the address you just copied and pasted are the same. There is a clipboard malware that tends to change a bitcoin address you just copied to the bitcoin address of the hacker so if you don't cross check, you might end up pasting a malicious bitcoin address.

On your wallet click on View > Show addresses > Addresses and see if the address is among the listed addresses
3525  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CryptoForum.org on: December 03, 2020, 01:09:28 PM
It's much easier if you had already done the work on the forum and the ask for input and suggestion from members. This makes us know what exactly the intention of the forum you are building by checking it out before making suggestions.
Suggesting random features from scratch is something very broad.
3526  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Shady seller Vindictuses - AVOID on: December 03, 2020, 12:51:55 PM
if i ask them to sign message to prove they have the coins for the ses, no one can do it.
What is the point of signing a message from an address when one can use an escrow. Signing a message from an address doesn't mean that the person can send you money. They can decide to refuse sending you thr money

Diving in 3 parts does not seem as bad ideea,
It is, If you are someone genuine, why would you refuse to opt for escrow.

the escrow protects the buyer, not the seller;
Nope, it protects both of you in case one of the parties decided to become a jerk.

You can even go ahead and pick your favorite escrow service you trust - ★LIST★ BitcoinTalk's ESCROW Providers: Ranking & Blacklist ☠ Avoid Scam ☠

This is not an effective way of reporting scam because;
- A scammer can always generate another bitcoin address to use for scamming any time
- How are we supposed to know how the scam is being pulled off if you are not telling us the full story?
3528  Economy / Reputation / Re: Re: Meriting: suchmoon is a gem of forum (coinfinger) on: November 30, 2020, 10:23:08 PM
It is interesting that member coinfinger now went silent, returned topic from archival to reputation, and edited back his posts, but he didn't post anything since.
Maybe he is expecting people will forgot about this after some time.

I think I am tagging the user. The fact that s/he even admitted or lied that the account is no longer under the hands of the original owner anymore should be enough reason to leave a negative feedback. Who knows what the intentions of the person might be.

I wanted to first understand the quoted French translations before leaving a negative tag

He uses his old rating to get you pay then he dump you.
He reached out to me that he can sell me codes but he stole the money
Be aware.
Are you sure that he scammed you?

Do you have any proof of communications with him. @ralle14 is in a signature campaign that pays $100 worth of BTC week and $125 if on bonus. Why would he want to scam you If he can get more than $175 within 2 weeks?

Lem me try PMing him about this. He may not be aware.
3530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 29, 2020, 10:41:45 PM
How come nobody's talking about Arsenal's disappointing home defeat to Wolves? The win means that Wolves would move to sixth place.  Arsenal got outplayed throughout the duration of the game. I'm beginning to think Mikel Arteta is quickly running out if their performance level continues to decline, along with more embarrassing defeats.

5 losses, 4 wins and 1 draw is not a good record to write home about.

Here's a fun fact. Today's win is actually Wolves first win at Arsenal (Emirates Stadium) since 1979.
I wonder what is really going on at Arteta's camp. Today's lose was their third consecutive home defeat and as if that's not enough, Aubameyang hasn't been scoring any goals lately. In 6 Premier League matches, Arsenal have managed to score only 2 goals. A penalty against Manchester United and Today's goal against Wolves. This is not good at all.
3531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: France's gambling recovers on: November 29, 2020, 09:18:49 PM
Isn't France one of the Countries where gambling is banned? In a couple online casinos, i did check out their Terms and conditions and France was part of the list of Countries whose Citizen were not allowed to gamble.

Generally the whole issue of banning gambling is not cool. It's like governments are trying to control how their citizens are supposed to spend the money they sweated to make.

The account recoveries got a lot quicker when Theymos introduced a new team to handle account recoveries towards the end of 2018. Try sending a message to the email address again while following instructions provided in the account recovery thread.

It's very possible the account changes hands or got hacked.
Evidence from seclog shows that the account's password was changed right before the change in the posting style

So, your screenshots are fake and you are trying to lie to us here. You think we are fools?
3535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: balance 0 on: November 29, 2020, 04:33:48 PM
This is quite sad. To remove the syncing doubt, you can also check the addresses that were holding your bitcoins in the bitcoin block explorer. There is a very big chance that someone probably got access to your seed phrase. They don't need to use your computer or password in order to access your bitcoins and spend them.
3536  Economy / Reputation / Re: Avoid dealing with these sellers on: November 29, 2020, 01:38:09 PM
You should look out for any warnings before dealing with anyone especially users with low reputation.

The user in question has some negative feedback and a warning on top of the post for guest yours and perhaps newbies. I would like to confirm if you are able to see this warning on top of his advert: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5292775

3537  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitmex - liquidation price on: November 28, 2020, 11:55:37 PM
Bitmex has a calculator on their trading page that you can use to estimate your liquidation price depending on the entry price. Question is, what market entry price are we talking about here?

All you have to do is click on the calculator icon next to the place order box and enter the values

Only the $1000 will be liquidated. The liquidation price only lowers if you increase your margin with the available funds in your account. In an event that the liquidation price is still crossed. All the $1000+ the funds you used to increase your margin will get liquidated.
3538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why do people invest in DeFi tokens with unaudited smart contracts? on: November 28, 2020, 11:43:56 PM
Some people just do it out of ignorance, greed or FOMO. Just because they have seen one successful DeFi project they think any other DeFi project they come across will be successful as well. For example all the copycat projects you listed above came into existence as a result of Yearn Finance's success so ignorant people usually fall for them.
3539  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: COINSBIT.IO SCAM EXCHANGE + PONZI SCHEME !!! on: November 28, 2020, 11:15:00 PM
<...Forest of Nonsense...>
However much you tried to sugar coat or write a novel about the scammy coinsbit exchange. You are not going to fool anyone here. This only means you are just another one of those useless shill of a scam exchange, and what do we do with scam shills?

3540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why make New Crypto Exchanges on: November 28, 2020, 10:48:46 PM
Do you need to even ask about this?
The motive is always about money. Every day people try out their luck with different venture with the hope that they could become viral or a hit and be very successful, so, the same applies to the creators of exchanges
