Read the PDFs my friends, so much to discover. You can only guess how much work got into that.

For example:

Quote
5.1 Fiat Conversion
Dash Evolution will also give users the ability to convert to and from fiat using using converters.
These are special users that provide another service for the network and are paid a percentage
of the transaction to process it. Converters will be rated by users who do business with them,
and this reputation will be crucial in helping other users decide which converters are most
reliable and trustworthy. The result will be a safe and global fiat conversion network.

So anyone providing this service as a converter will need to register as an MSB? I can't see any logical away around this.

Yes, but it's just vaporware speculation with zero chance of being implemented.  Don't take such harmless marketing fluff seriously.

the monero scammers are working overtime spamming the DASH thread in what they dubbed "operation noise"  Cry

I thought it was called Operation Overcast?   Cheesy

Regardless of your failure to penetrate the Monero Mustang C&C structure, don't worry about the current 'New Dash User Education' efforts.

You haven't seen anything yet.

Just wait until Miami, when the real fireworks begin.

You'll forget all about this silly business with vertoe.

During the "attack" a.k.a. "test" my little Atom based Nuc had no trouble keeping up with continuous 1 MB blocks and would have been able to keep up with 8 MB blocks as well, based on my usage statistics. There would have been no problem with network bandwidth, either, so long as I was just verifying blocks and not attempting to mine.  This machine was hardly mainstream computing.  If there had been a performance problem I had two other computers that I could have switched on to do this work, but I didn't see the point in burning extra electricity when a 15 watt machine sufficed.

You are not getting the point - it is not your machine but your internet connection that matters.

If you are mining behind the GCF you can add as many machines as you like but that won't increase your internet bandwidth.

But But But...Newegg sells hard drives for less than a penny per gigabyte!

But But But...look how tiny this 128GB CF is!

But But But...I like to drive forward while using the rearview mirror to navigate, because past Xs being Ys guarantees future Xs will be Ys as well!

3526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DASH Collapsing Monero UP on: December 06, 2015, 02:55:08 AM
The market reaction to Dash's Evolusham speaks for itself:

The so-called "whitepapers" are actually content-free, buzz-word heavy marketing brochures.

Friendly reminder for newcomers:

the things going on here are fishy, intransparent and rely on a single entity.

what DarkCoin does is highly centralized because the software is closed— you can't get more centralized than closed source.

"masternodes" does not sound like something decenteralized, it sounds like something that creates a small chokepoint which could be used to deanonymize its users, like a server based CoinJoin but worse since you have to hold a huge pile of coins to run a server.

Bytecoin (and its forks... Monero, Fantomcoin, etc.) are actually working implementations of much stronger privacy, decenteralized in their implementation, all released under a good open source license.

From what I can tell the only purpose DarkCoin serves is to depress me about the state of humanity.

Dash is perfectly described by gmaxwell in the post above: a lot of harmful garbage and dysfunctional software. My Dash is going to be sold over the next few days. I refuse to a cryptocurrency where the fanboys imagine that cryptography is uneccessary. What a stupid thing to say.

I fixed your "friendly" attempt to bamboozle newcomers with DashDark's snake oil and bad crypto.

It is much more informative and honest now.

"Does not sound like" and "it sounds like" do not qualify as scientific observations by any stretch of the imagination. These are the ramblings of an individual who has absolutely no clue how Dash works.

Gmax invented coinjoin, the mixing algorithm Darkcoin broke, bastardized, and rebranded as 'Darksend.'

Obviously, his opinions are those of one with the highest possible levels of expertise.

His opinions could also be perceived to be highly biased as he has been jumping into (wrong) conclusions (intentionally or not?) and displaying extreme anger towards anyone profiting or intending to profit by building on top of previous inventions or even improving them that he himself (or his associates) have failed to profit themselves of.

See for example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1211093.msg12713560#msg12713560

I looked at your "example."  That's just TPTB (aka Anonymint) being his usual insane self.

Gmax is a stickler for attribution because he believes in FOSS.

As a FOSS supporter he is happy for others to use the tools he's invented, whether for profit or not.

The exception is a situation like Darkcoin/Dash, where his coinjoin code was broken, bastardized, and rebranded as 'Darksend.'

That's why he said "only purpose DarkCoin serves is to depress me about the state of humanity."

Hi to all the creditor investigators following Icebreaker, hope you can recover something for all those who were ripped off by this thief.  Grin

Guess who gets mention here....

http://www.coindesk.com/ponzi-allegations-patent-applications-bitcoin-headlines/

ceases to amaze me why Risto doesn't distance his monero puppets from ice given he is a known fraudster.

But like attract like and the monero crew actually respect ice for what he has done for monero.  After all, he pumped laundered money from hashfast into the coin so it is held up by him.

Hashfast owed about $40 million US from reporting......

Where is the evidence I "laundered money" into Monero?

Geez, I went back to work only to come back on break and find no PMs displayed that will leave the Dash project in ruins?

Slow trolls. I'll come back later.

You don't rush an exquisite Tantric fucking like this; such a cherished rare event is meant to be savored over the due course of time.

Expect more of Vertoe's incriminating PMs to be released 1 hour before Evan Madoffield's "presentation" begins.

Every time he pumps his scam in public, more damning PMs will be disclosed.

It appears blockstream finally sees the light:

"Another idea that has been gathering support is Blockstream CEO and Hashcash inventor Dr. Adam Back's “2-4-8” quick fix, which would incrementally increase to the limit to 8 megabytes in three steps over four years time."

Going to 2mb first is kind of pointless.  Might as well fork straight to 8 since it's going there in a couple years anyway.

Just because you FAIL to see the point of going to 2MB first does not imply the rest of us do not.

In fact the opposite conclusion, that there IS a point to first doing a small increase in an abundance of caution, is indicated by the fact Dr. Back's BIP248 (sorry gmax but we're all calling it that) proposal enjoys a plurality if not an outright majority of support.

I agree with we can increase to 2MB first to see the effect. Then we can decide what to do next.

who's we?

3532  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: December 05, 2015, 12:07:50 PM
Give me a sec while I search the Internet to see if pump-and-dumping is considered an agenda, not that that's what BitJohn did in spite of him doing such since at least 2007 prior to becoming ONLY a mod at Cryptsy. HAHAHA

Meanwhile, the DASH thread is goin' nuts over something: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.0

Yeah that DASh thread is full of users who will support Dash no matter what. lol

Reminds me of how BitJohn has operated now that we have exposed his sock puppet accounts.

So much scammers around ... Roll Eyes

Nobody bothers defending (much less cheerleading for) Cryptsy or Paycoin anymore, so they are relatively boring and yesterday's news.

The great thing about busting the ongoing DASH scam is how hysterically the Evan's Gate cultists (over)react to criticism, as alluded to by the old aphorism 'a stuck pig squeals loudly.

I'm getting a hunch there may be a hidden Axis of Scammers slowly being revealed.

Cryptsy/BitJohn, GAW/Paycoin, and Darkcoin/DASH all appear to be tentacles of the same SPECTRE/HYDRA type organization.  The proximity, pattern, and practice of their methods of operation seem too similar to be explained by mere coincidence.

If a 'smoking gun' of evidence for that exists, I wouldn't be shocked if it came to light via the controlled release of (former Darkcoin core dev) Vertoe's PMs....

Good that vertoe was quite sophisticated and "revoked" his account by posting a signed message back then.

That "revocation" proves nothing.

Maybe the github and LTC wallet were hacked.

Maybe nothing was hacked, but vertoe wanted plausible deniability to protect herself from retaliation by the Evan's Gate cultists.

Maybe vertoe just did it all for the lulz.

Sorry guys for not being able to join the fun over here, but I've been busy bringing Cryptsy to its knees starting with exposing BitJohn's sockpuppets doing the pump and dump. If you're inclined, start here and read forward: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1173703.msg13153296#msg13153296 Suffice to say, Cryptsy's in its final hours, especially once I connect Paul Vernon to BitJohn prior to the creation of Cryptsy.

Crytpsy was for many months by far the main Darkcoin/Dash exchange.

Who knows how many Masternodes they were running using depositors' coins?

Who knows how many instamined coins Cryptsy was bribed with to keep Dash's Cryptonote competitors from being listed?

Who knows how many 'irregularities' Cryptsy overlooked or encouraged while Otoh kept Darkcoin/Dash pumped and dumped?

It's probably not a random coincidence the Dash scammers picked Cryptsy as their scam exchange of choice...

Perhaps Vertoe's PMs will shed light onto this DARK subject?

Vertoe's github/litecoin accounts were hacked, and used to spread false reports of the one here being hacked.

You are simply trying to deflect from the objective truth of her message by attacking the messenger.

i guess you missed that one *facepalm*

I am here to say that this is a purchased account - it has lots of incriminating PM's in it and I want to expose all of the individuals.  I am going to post a thread and then upload all of the PM's sent and received to allow people to judge for themselves who is a bad guy.

I would also ask people to help me in my crusade to not only expose SCAMS but to also STOP BULLY's  like SUCHMOON AND PAUL REVERE -

SCAMMERS AND BULLY's NEED TO BE EXPOSED AND PAY THE CONSEQUENCES FOR THEIR ACTIONS

Yours Truly,

- V1G1LANTE

That's just vertoe messing with your head.

Heh, good old vertoe.  Such a great sense of humor.   Cheesy

Her wisecrack about DashHole investors pursuing a "golden donkey" was an instant classic!

What are you so worried about us finding in vertoe's PM folder?

we are worried that we may find out that the rage quit of vertoe and his posts about DASH were just by the hacker and not vertoe himself, and with that we may have not enough tissues for all you trolls, who quoted him hundreds or thousands of times.

Vertoe's Bitcointalk account was never hacked.

Her celebrated 'Fuck this fishy centralized golden donkey pyramid' scam post rings as true as it ever did, perhaps more...

The tone and conclusions of that post align exactly with the latest post here:

DASH - the Original and Biggest Scam of all

Paycoin was a $20,000,000 scam and these guys with Dash are cashing out "Interest" daily -- this will definitely top the Paycoin Scam

Vertoe's github/litecoin accounts were hacked, and used to spread false reports of the one here being hacked.

You are simply trying to deflect from the objective truth of her message by attacking the messenger.

But that won't work because vertoe, as a former Darkcoin insider/core dev, knows where all THE DARKCOIN FOUNDATION INC's bodies are buried.

The problem is, no matter what is posted comes from an account that has been hacked, the integrity of the data can't be trusted no matter what the claims.

Oh yes it can.

Simple ask Theymos and Badbear or some global mod to verify authenticity of the PMs being posted by "VERTOE".

The account has been hacked (according to Vertoe), and now you Trolleros will use it to troll the thread with false PMs. Have you hacked the account yourselves or you bought the Vertoe account in the market?   Angry

You are a disgusting band of individuals.   Cry

Instead of these dirty tricks, please use your time to create code, go to talks, do a proper marketing etc.   Cry
You and your sockpuppet accounts should be banned from Bitcointalk.   Cry

For once I agree with iCEBREAKER, this is going to be good. For whom, remains to be seen.

Worlds are colliding!    Tongue

I bet this kind of sordid controversy is exactly what Evan's Gate wanted to coincide with their fake-ETH Evolusham thing's debut.   Cheesy

Top 5 questions for Evan Madoffield's Q&A in Mexico/Miami:

1) Why didn't you test your software sufficiently before launching it for catastrophic, unmissable bugs like the instamine?

2) Why didn't you relaunch after such an unmitigated, shambolic fiasco of a launch?

3) When do you plan to phase out Masternodes?

4) When do you plan to implement RBF and CLTV/CSV?

5) What happened to your plans for IP2/Masternode blinding?

6) Why does BTC core dev Peter Todd call Dash "snake oil" and "bad crypto?"

7) When will the 20+ hour mixing time for Darksend be reduced to something more competitive with Monero's protocol-level approach?

@ #7 did that guy ever say how much Dash he was trying to mix which took him 20 hours?

OMFG 20 hours is...like 1000 times slower than other solutions that exist.  Cheesy

8. Why wasn't a whitepaper or code for Evolusham released prior to the conference(s)?
3539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: December 05, 2015, 08:23:38 AM
Wouldn't it be something if the budget payout could happen during the Dash presentation.

Dash's Evan Madoffield isn't going to give a "presentation."

He's just on a panel with a couple of other guys.

I guess he's going to use that platform to hype his fake-Ethereum Evolusham project.

But the pump will be very short-lived, as the next speaker's presentation (not panel) is about Rootstock.io, a project which makes Evolusham as obsolete as NXT.

The "ceti" account has been hacked (see pastebin for details), so the integrity of the data can't be trusted no matter what the claims.

Hence the nervousness exhibited by the redundant, close repetition of the eagerly conclusory "no matter what" phrase.
