DeMarcus Cousins came out and said that he believes he is the third best center in the league right now. That’s a little crazy when you think about how few games he’s played the last 5 years. No doubt he’s a beast and probably deserves a chance. There must be something keeping him from being signed though and I think it’s his attitude not any blackballing.
3522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 12, 2023, 12:15:13 AM
It’s definitely tough betting on a game when the odds aren’t that great, and sometimes it’s worth it to bet against just because of the risk reward. I’m with everybody else though that the Lakers are going to win this game tonight. I’ll be tuning in. Minnesota just hasn’t been playing that great and now with all the drama and missing players… It’s a wrap.
3523  Economy / Services / Re: Hiring Voice Over Artist For YouTube Videos on: April 11, 2023, 04:22:46 PM
I’m certain there is somebody out there that would love to do this. Maybe someone trying to get into vocal work or perhaps a budding artist that wants a few extra bucks. For the price being offered I doubt it will take a ton of your time. People shouldn’t criticize others who are looking to employ people. I understand it may be a small amount, but in some countries an extra $30 a week would really help out.
3524  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Wanted to share-The world’s first Bitcoin-themed PEZ dispenser on: April 11, 2023, 04:17:33 PM
So I saw some pictures of the new Bitcoin Pez commissioned by Prosnacktive sales and it had the different colors instead of the orange pez sold on Walmart.

I wrote to ask them if they also sold them with the multicolored version and was told

"" PEZ accidentally produced a few with the wrong candy. There were a few multicolored candy variations that Bitcoin Magazine has, from pre production, but nothing in circulation other than orange.""

So what did they do??  Since they saw I was an avid collector of Bitcoin Pez dispensers, they sent me an missing Pez  with just candy and a multicolored rarity as well!! See the pics below!

That was an amazing gesture and I thank them for doing so!!

The missing Pez one is one of a kind and the multi colored pez were made by error, very few in existence!

That’s pretty awesome. I’m sure they’ll be getting quite a few messages now. Smiley
I think having the all orange pez is actually pretty awesome. I hadn’t even thought of it like an orange pill. Someone over there was really using their creativity instead of just slapping a Bitcoin logo on a product and selling it. Very cool indeed.
3525  Economy / Speculation / Re: 30k Bitch!!! on: April 11, 2023, 04:12:49 PM
I’m surprised that the price went through $30K and has been holding above it without a good sized pullback. That leads me to believe this rally still has legs. Somebody out there is snapping up all the BTC and just keeps buying. I do feel like we may see a pause at this level for a while to allow for some accumulation before the next leg up.
3526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 11, 2023, 04:10:02 PM

They also acquired Gobert to help their team on the defensive side, and they were ready to play the twin towers but then this thing happened. Gobert did not understand how important his role was to the team, and he messed up their opportunity to make the playoffs. So with what happened, I doubt the team would still keep him.
Would be nice if Wolves win their games without Gobert and then start losing them, once he is back. That would mess him and the team up so much. It would be hilarious.

Nah, I’m looking forward to watching them get smashed tonight. I think the Lakers are going to be firing on all cylinders and they just picked up a point guard for the purpose of shutting down Ja Morant so they must feel pretty confident about tonight. I’ll definitely be watching.

The playoffs (ins) are here! Happy days ahead.
3527  Economy / Collectibles / Re: yogg sweeping again - Playtoshi edition on: April 10, 2023, 10:17:09 PM
6.  I think instead of worrying about recovering funds or making Yogg's life miserable (which is understandably justified) we should be trying to figure out how to keep this from happening again.
That would be great, but how? ... Where is @MrCryptoHodl, @Liquidoptions, @raritycheck and the rest of the newer folks selling loaded shit? Keep track of them I reckon....

I suggested keeping track of the amount of BTC loaded onto coins that a maker has access to (presuming they kept the keys, which I feel the need to say that I don't keep any keys I engrave onto my coins) and I believe I've been making that suggestion for many years now.  If the maker has loans as well, that would obviously be worth noting.  I'm sure someone here would be glad to keep something like that up to get merit, not me, but somebody.  This is just an idea I had.  I don't know what motivated people to trust Yogg or buy his products.  Maybe the bashing of honest creator's reputations played a part as there are only so many collectibles here and not everybody has the time to research who is telling the truth when allegations arise...  The folks that did buy his products and considered him trustworthy would likely be the best source of information on how to prevent this from happening again.  To those effected by this, what would have opened your eyes to the red flags and given you hesitation to purchase these products?

From a personal point of view, I think Yogg should be sued, I think it would be one of the only solutions to prevent this kind of event from happening again. It'll show anyone who thinks of walking away with people's hard-earned money that there are consequences.

I can understand this point of view.  There's probably no fair way to distribute the funds, so doing this at least inconveniences Yogg.  My concern would be...  What if Yogg won the case?  I'm not a lawyer, but it seems like a theft of this kind hasn't been tried in court before and maybe it would open the door for other creators and embolden them to steal from their customers with no fear of consequences.  Although the lawsuit itself may be a consequence as I'm sure it would be a pain in the ass for him.
3528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 10, 2023, 03:54:20 PM
Suns picked Clippers instead of Warriors. They could've won the game if they wanted to, but lost to Clippers and became play-off first round opponents. This is pretty logical as they avoid the last champion. Paul George's return is still unknown.
Lakers won but it wasn't enough for 6th place. They need to pass play-in rounds now. Pelicans is also in form but Lakers wouldn't make mistakes here.

The good thing about the Lakers in their next game is they are complete and ready for the NBA playoffs, they just need to win this one in order to secure their spot and go against Memphis and I think that would be a hard match-up for them going against young guns and super fast and athletic team. Their advantage is their experience and when they can somehow get through that, then the rest will surely be easy.

With the Rudy Gobert nonsense in Minnesota it seems like that team will be an easy opponent for the now hot Lakers. I don’t think Memphis would be a problem either. The Lakers might’ve just lucked themselves into a pretty easy path towards round 2 of the playoffs in my opinion.
3529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 09, 2023, 10:06:04 PM

Can someone explain what will happen if they all end up with a season standing of 43-39? Will there be a tiebreaker game, or if not, who will finish in the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th places? I didn't know how tiebreakers work in a play-in tournament.

I believe it is the teams regular season wins against each other that determines any tie breakers.

I’m reading the Lakers signed Tristan Thompson over Dwight Howard and DeMarcus Cousins. A somewhat odd move but Tristan has won a chip with LeBron before so maybe this is them trying to recreate that. Can you imagine if Kyrie ended up with the Lakers instead of Dallas. That would have been quite a story.

I just read that too, that the Lakers signed Tristian Thompson over Dwight Howard and Demarcus Cousins. Dwight Howard I understand, he’s pretty old at that this stage in time , but Cousins to me is the sad story. I was such a huge fan of his in his prime. At one point I’d say there was no argument that he was the greatest Center in the game. His history of injuries was/is pretty sad. He could have been a HOFr like the fore mentioned Dwight Howard had he just been able to stay healthy.

Anyhow, I think Triston is a solid pickup.

I always defended Counsins to my friends in Sacramento who said he was toxic. What’s crazy is they let him go for basically nothing and the pick they traded away to get rid of him almost turned into Zion Williamson. So close to the worst basketball personnel decision in history.

Speaking of teams getting rid of big men… Looks like Rudy Gobert will be finding a new home next year.

Trump in the crowd getting shout outs from fighters. Izzy getting revenge with a knockout. What an event. I think if Conor McGregor would’ve been able to fight in this one with his return  it probably would’ve been the greatest UFC event ever. So many celebrities and awesome moments. Seems like everything went the way it should have.
3533  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin Price Rises Following Accusations Against Trump on: April 09, 2023, 05:23:43 AM
I think it was more his comments about the United States losing the US dollar as the world’s global reserve currency and it being our biggest defeat in 200 years. A lot of people don’t keep track of things like global trade and what currencies are being used so hearing Trump sound this alarm could very well have had a short term effect on the market.
3534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 09, 2023, 12:38:55 AM
Looks like the Clippers winning today has cemented the lakers into the play-in tournament. Most likely against the Pelicans without Zion who will once again be healthy a week after his team’s season is over. Minnesota if they matched up with the Lakers might be a tougher challenge for the Lakers but I think they’ll emerge from the play-in regardless.
3535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mixing is NOT money laundering, per se on: April 08, 2023, 07:10:41 PM
Too many people are on the mixers payroll here to have a real discussion about it though.

Just highlighting this as it is like clockwork that the only people who defend these mixers are on their payroll.  They will say stupid things like having financial freedom is the same thing as allowing third parties to engage in the facilitation of money laundering or that, "the practice of engaging in financial transactions to conceal the identity, source, or destination" of funds is not money laundering but just maintaining privacy.  On one hand they bash honest projects as scams and unleash their combined power to try and censor people's feedback in the trust network that are honest while claiming to fight scams, and on the other they want the scammers to be able to launder their funds so they can keep getting paid their cut for advertising mixers to them.  Not saying all those advertising mixers are evil.  Some of them just want an easy paycheck.  The ones who list me as untrusted for blowing the whistle about the coming government crackdown on ChipMixer BEFORE they acted are the ones who are literal pieces of shit this community would be 100 times better off without.
3536  Other / Meta / Re: What is the great mistake that you ever done in bitcointalk forum since you join on: April 08, 2023, 07:02:19 PM
My biggest mistake is not being heavier on the ignore button.  I always tried to respond to questions and concerns about my activities, but there came a point where trolls and scammers used this attempt to maintain truth about my activities as a way to try and elevate themselves in the community.  It didn't matter what lies they told or how many alt accounts they had to burn making ridiculous claims, they just wanted attention and to damage my reputation by any means possible.  I see now that engaging with them only 'got them off' and even after some of them have been ignored for years, they still try their best to gain my attention with whatever lies they think the ignorant will believe.  Just hit the ignore button on trolls.  They outnumber contributing members to Bitcoin here 100 to 1 and with the trust network being a popularity contest to inflate trust for potential scams (see ColdKey scam) it is clear the train has gone off the rails and the inmates are running the asylum.  All you have to do is look at the DT1 members that still include Vod in their trust networks after Vod openly tried to extort me on this forum.  Truth is something here that literally doesn't matter anymore.  Don't fight for it.  It's a losing battle that will only negatively reflect against you here until those running this forum get their heads out of their ass.
3537  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price trajectory using AI on: April 08, 2023, 06:54:37 PM
So many cool things to do with ChatGPT.  I've been learning a lot about it, but haven't actually used it hands on yet.  I guess I'm still trying to wrap my head around how it all works before diving in and trying things.  This is interesting though.  As a believer in the 4-year cycle, I'm sure AI could estimate tops by extending the fractal, etc.  I see people having AI make videos and things now...  It's clear this is the future so it might be a good idea to keep an eye on ChatGPT's opinion, as I'm sure it will be more and more influential on things like markets going forward.  Really scary to be honest, but I think AI will start guiding society sooner than later.
3538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 08, 2023, 06:51:59 PM
Tank David faces Ryan Garcia. This has to be the fight of the year, for a long time Ryan Garcia has been calling out big fighters and no match had taken place, I see this as the biggest test for both men yet.

If I am to place a bet I would go with tank Davis I believe he is more technically gifted than Ryan Garcia and he surly punches harder too so I believe he should win this bout.

Yes, this is the fight of the year for now because the other big fights are still not that guaranteed that it will materialize on their forecasted dates. And for Ryan Garcia calling out the big fighters, it's expected that he will do that because of the talent that he got because he always got that ace up on his sleeve but it's also expected that there won't be boxers that will get interested because he is not that great yet. He still got more fights to prove before he can face the best of the division, and this Tank Davis, it will be his acid test rather than an acid test for Tank.

I honestly have no idea who will win this fight.  At first glance it appears Tank Davis is a beast who is going to destroy him...  Then you start reading opinions from other fighters who warn Davis that Ryan Garcia is a for real fighter with impeccable fundamentals that will surprise him.  With all of the drama surrounding Davis throughout his training camp, I'm tempted to say that Ryan Garcia has the advantage, but Tank looks like he's got a chip on his shoulder.  If I were betting with no knowledge of the fighters I would assume Tank has this fight easily.  I know enough about Ryan Garcia to know it won't be easy though.
3539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 08, 2023, 06:48:56 PM
I won’t be surprised that Kyrie will have a hard time to adjust on a team that has a high expectation on him. He was only replaced on the late stage of the regular season when Mavs is already on the verge of missing the playoffs. Kyrie is still doing his best to become part of his new team but adjustment is so hard if most of the key player of Mavs was traded for you and you will play on the remnant players that is not use to play with Kyrie.

We should give him next year for an adjustment. In fact, Mavs still doesn’t have a chance to proceed further on playoff even if they have spot due to there current roster condition.
I agree that his transfer to Dallas despite at the first few games where successful, still, it won't be just enough to adjust.
Well, we can reason out anything but that's really not looking good for the team when both have played together.
The expectation for him was really high and can't blame the disappointment not just from the fans but also from the team itself.
It was an expensive contract to them and a lesson as well. Anyway, everything has been seen already and we're starting to see teams getting out of the league for the season, play in schedule is within less than a week.

Expectations deteriorated pretty quickly.  They ended the season absolutely terribly.  If I were Mark Cuban I wouldn't even want Kyrie back.  Nobody thought they'd miss the playoffs before this trade was made.  Their epic collapse is a sign that star players don't have the skill gap over average players that they used to have.  Everyone is better now and you can't give up important role players just to grab a star and expect to win.  At this point I would be concerned if Kyrie signed with a team I care about.  He's toxic and it doesn't matter how many highlights he can deliver, he hasn't been able to win since leaving LeBron James.
3540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 08, 2023, 08:00:19 AM
The only hot game today is the Mavericks versus the Chicago Bulls and they are still playing with 1 minute left. A very close game.
Edit: Bulls won, 3 point lead.
With that loss, the Mavericks are officially eliminated from the tournament already.

Kyrie didn't play because of foot injury, and at the same time, Hardaway Jr. didn't play because of ankle injuries. Their 2 bigs Kleber, and Wood didn't play as well. What do you expect from the Mavericks if they ruled out their main role players. It's a bit surprising that they only lost by 3 points against the Bulls without DeRozan, and Lavine.

After having a very good playoff run, the Mavericks didn't even clinch the play-in position. I wonder what will the Mavericks front office will do in the off-season. Will they pursue Irving, and build a team around both him and Luka? Will they get better role players? Will Luka request a trade? Cheesy

The Mavericks collapse since getting Kyrie Irving is almost unbelievable. I’m not sure why Kyrie is viewed as such a great player when he’s basically destroyed 4 teams in a row now.

The Lakers and Clippers both seem hungry for that last playoff spot without the play-in tournament. I think both LA teams are good bets to win the rest of their games this season.
