3522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: KNCminer Titan scrypt miner only 0.17BTC or 110USD per share for 1Mhs on: March 19, 2014, 09:33:09 PM
I already placed an order to KNCminer. Once the fund is GB is successful. I will wire the money to them.

It is nice of you to take the liberty BUT, apparently so have I:

The funny thing is that I didn't pay jack shit because this is A PROFORMA INVOICE!

Nice try and I must warn you OP that you have attracted my attention.

I will not go out to say anything at this point but I will be watching you.

EDIT: OFFER ESCROW
If you can do that, which you probably can't, then that would be nice.
You can have a respectable member who offers escrow handle the payments for you.

3524  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: March 19, 2014, 09:13:40 PM
I changed my laptop ip address to the same string as the antminer 192.168.1.97 and logged in.

No. Your laptop IP should be different from your Ants IP.

Example:

Ant IP (from sticker) 192.168.1.99

Your laptop settings should be:

IPv4

IP adrress: 192.168.1.254
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1

Notice that: 192.168.1.99 is important.
If you Ant has 192.168.2.xx  it won't work as they will be on different network settings.
So you have to make you IP settings:
192.168.2.254
Gateway: 192.168.2.1

3525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Andreas Antonopolous raising funds for Dorian Nakamoto on: March 19, 2014, 08:58:40 PM
I think that if it helps people know more it is good journalism.

this story was the greatest embarrassment in 81 years of newsweek. when there is a quest for a hidden person and a journalist comes up with such a thin story dragging out the wrong guy to the world public it is the opposite of "good journalism"

they could have at least asked "is this the real satoshi ?" instead they pretended they had something, but they had nothing.

I love conspiracy theories. Mine is that this whole thing was cooked up by someone in the IC to draw Satoshi out of hiding, which seems to have worked since he logged into his P2P account.

He didn't.
He didn't sign his msg.

It was probably a BTC supporter with some skills.

Well, your probably isn't really any better than my probably. We're all just guessing. Do you think there we'll ever figure it out?

Nope.
The real Satoshi will never be found unless he/she/they decide to step up.

I hope you are correct. I think discovery would only be a negative..

If he/she/they was careful not to give any personal info to begin with then he/she/they know how to keep things private.
Besides he/she/they invented Bitcoin Wink
It takes a lot of brains to do that Wink

3526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Resources Page on: March 19, 2014, 08:53:30 PM
S4 - Woah! Thanks so much for the heads up.

I spent all that time on the links and didn't even consider that maybe I screwed up the address.

NP Smiley
And no, I am not being stingy here, but you had a tip from me Wink

3527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scared Cyprus government issues Bitcoin warning on: March 19, 2014, 08:50:27 PM
Do you have reference to the Greek version of this?

The report seems to have originated in the Cyprus Mail but I can find no Greek language version.

My $.02.

Wink

Me neither that's why I was asking.

3528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: KNC ASIC SCRYPT MINER... WHAT??? on: March 19, 2014, 08:48:48 PM
I already posted this on litecointalk, but It's worth posting it here too.

The only real question is, will it support scrypt 2048/4096 (or greater) ?
If it's only for basic scrypt 1024, then it's only for litecoin as any currently maintained alt will go the 2048 way.

There's probably 3000 titan for order in total (2400 when I looked a few hours ago).
It means at least 300GH/s more on the LTC network. If it were on the market tomorrow, that would bring the diff up to 20k at least. At 20k, 100 MH/s will give you a mere 5 LTC per day, or ~$85 at current price. With VAT you'd ROI the titan in 5 months at best. And it's only with a 20k constant diff, which will not be the case at all.

So the most probable is that it will very much never ROI. Of course LTC can double or triple in price, but it just means you'd better use your money to buy LTC directly.

If you want to know how many TITAN are left, just try to order a TITAN on their site, and when you can select the quantity, just increase it to 3000. You'll have the message in red "there are only 2365" (was 2405 2 hours ago).

WOW   Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

$30M pre-orders?
3529  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.988 BTC for 180GH/s on: March 19, 2014, 08:43:14 PM
great products and great customer service are you for real?,
no customer service no email no clue as to what is going on, its took  b est part of 10 hours  for them to post that.
they also have had full payment  , and they have given no confirmation,  you must be easily pleased my friend. Smiley

How can I tell that you are completely clueless?Huh

3532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Buffet right or wrong? on: March 19, 2014, 04:35:12 PM
I keep looking at the title and I can't help it. I have to say this:

Buffet is an excellent idea if you have more than 12 guests. If that is the case then Buffet is right.
Otherwise cook for them a nice meal Wink

Buffett on the other hand is not such a good idea to mix with BTC.
First of all he doesn't understand it and if he did then he would be the majority.

So it is better that he doesn't like BTC Wink

3533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Resources Page on: March 19, 2014, 04:27:11 PM
S4, you mean remove the Wedding Crashers reference, or is it formatted weird?

LMK and i'll fix it.

THanks

No you have it all in capitals.

It must be the SAME as your address.

It does matter Wink

3534  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is thre a way to instantly deposit funds into BTC-e or Bitstamp? on: March 19, 2014, 03:59:02 PM
I have found that the best way for me (and rates) is using Virwox.
I use credit card and paypal to fund my account, then change it to SLL and then to BTC.
Only takes about 1 hour max to have the coins.

EDIT: Keep in mind that new accounts on Virwox require 48hours so that you get your coins.
After that you get them fast.
I have even made a payment to Bitmain directly from there.

3535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Resources Page on: March 19, 2014, 03:55:12 PM
Bro fix your donation address.
You won't get any tips like that.

Did they even deliver the sha-256 miners?

Yes. I have 6 module Juniper from October 2013, hashing at 938Gh/s stable. 930W power draw.

1w/GH at wall is quite impressive!

Were they delivered on time?
How much did they all cost?
ROI?

Are you like, brand new to bitcoin?
KNC were the first to the market.

Actually I am one of the stupid ones that mined some coins back in 2010 and deleted the software  Undecided
(They were worthless back then and a waste of time/money - or so it seemed)

Then I recently got back into it when I could actually afford an ASIC as the CPU/GPU doesn't cut it anymore.

BTW wasn't Avalon the first in the market?
3539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: KNC ASIC SCRYPT MINER... WHAT??? on: March 19, 2014, 03:17:49 PM
