We are currently hard at work getting all the paperwork together and logos etc.

To ensure that you have the whole picture and all the information possible.

Sorry for the quietness, just hard at work.

It's good to have updates anyway, once a day is not much if you think. Okay then, we wait for the new creatures and in meanwhile we keep on staking.
I would not underestimate the potential effect the rebrand is going to have on the project. I must admit I am a bit worried and excited as well.

3522  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-10-16]The FBI Gets Involved In US$1.3m Bitfinex Hack Investigation on: October 20, 2016, 05:41:21 PM
Having a pile of money doesn't confer intelligence or experience. People trading on BFX after their network outage were idiots, and after the hack, completely retarded. Much like Gox, there were warning signs that were ignored.

I don't feel sorry at all for any "whale" that lost anything. BFX will get what they deserve in the long run, including their ill-run business getting shut down.

That, my dear Algy, is the whole truth pure and simple
I couldn't agree more with the above.

Any update?   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
Guys you should be more proactive even in situations like this.
The network is fine, people are staking but give us some news.
Not much from your side: I mean the ICO is ending and we barely had new funding on the last week.

talking price we are floating on the $625 mark. Volume is going down almost anywhere: it seems someone needs to load his ammo to start shooting in the air again.
3525  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-10-19] Intelligence agencies warn government of Bitcoin misuse on: October 20, 2016, 06:31:28 AM
Intelligence agencies have warned that virtual currencies such as Bitcoin may be used to fund illegal activities and move funds through hawala transactions and the government will look into the issue with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to ensure such new payment methods are not misused.

3526  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetKing.io - NEW DESIGN! Most trusted and popular crowdfunded Bitcoin Dice site on: October 20, 2016, 06:15:44 AM
I personally think most people just trust a site owner with a X amount of coins. Then they would just put it on the highest kelly as possible.

For sites with a smaller BR, this means a high kelly is probably great to allow slightly bigger players. If a big player wins, personally I would still add some extra funds back to the site in that situation.

For sites with a bigger BR, this means a high kelly is just gonna make insane high max profits and potentially risky situations (because investor probably trusts the site with a bigger % of his own personal BR - making max profit bets more risky for that investor.) Also those risk situations should "almost never" happen (because max profit is so high), making it more appealing for investors.

Don't know if that makes sense Tongue and is different per person, but def true for me. Statistically almost everyone put their coins on highest kelly too.

I've started investing on Betking and I was wondering why I couldn't change the Kelly value: after doing some research I've found out why. I completely agree with you. I think I would have started way more than 4x if I could have had such a possibility.
After some weeks of investment and following site stats I agree that's a good value on the long run.

Nice! I see my self in there and I was wondering why I could not modify the Kelly value but after reding the official thread I got the answer.
I used to play dice on your site once: now I'm on the other side Cheesy

3530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: October 19, 2016, 06:42:13 AM
Here we go again, welcome back Champions League. There will be some promising games with very good odds, I hope to pick the right ones.

Dinamo Zagreb - Sevilla Sevilla
Lyon - Juventus Juventus
CSKA Moscow - Monaco Both teams to score
Leverkusen - Tottenham Home or draw

Nice pick dude I totally agree with all your predictions but I'm just taking some bets are not all because I seek a safer bet for competition
I eliminate Lyon - Juventus -Juventus I know Juventus played well but Lyon are also very good when playing at home I was worried they draw against Juventus .

I'm adding a few last minute games to my parlay

Leicester City - Copenhagen Leicester City
Club Brugge - Porto both teams to score
Real Madrid - Legia over 2,5 goals

MONSTRE PARLAY guys: I got a perfect score 7 games out of 7!
Nice profit  Wink I hope some of you followed me on this one

3533  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-10-18] Just How Significant is Chinese Miners’ Control on Bitcoin? on: October 18, 2016, 06:27:01 AM
The concentration of bitcoin mining power in China continues to raise concern in the bitcoin community. A recently produced TechCrunch video, based on Nathaniel Popper’s book, “Digital Gold,” offers an overview of bitcoin mining, including footage from inside of a Chinese mine. Several prominent bitcoin executives offer their views about the issue.
The video is titled, “Mines and Miners | Truth Disrupted: Bitcoin and the Blockchain.”

WTF are you talking about?  We are only $6 below the recent high and still $20 above where we were a week ago.

Why do you even bother to ansewr when a chart speak for itself?  Wink

that's new ...

I would say that they went all back to work  Grin but this will not answer it this time. Can be just a one-off: let's monitor how this continues. It would seem strange after all, unless new people are awakening their dormant coins.  Wink

I only hope that all the rebranding/refurbishing thing will not slow down the planned march. Are we still launching the DarkSilk (or whatever it will be) on November 5th?
3540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official BitBay Thread |Smart Contracts Wallet UPDATE|Decentralized Marketplace on: October 16, 2016, 02:04:14 PM

To sum it up, BitBay's peg must be classified as a trust based peg, and has chosen the safer version -a soft peg. The rest is micro economics -supply and demand. The revolutionary concept is that it is decentralized! Every other peg is centralized, i.e., controlled and/or dependent on one person or group of persons. If he/they fail, the peg fails!

For me, a peg becomes the all encompassing reason a given instrument exists, meaning, it becomes so important, if the given peg fails, all confidence in the underlying instrument drains away fast. And then whatever news/updates/current development going on at that time becomes very secondary, to re-instating the peg. And even if its achieved, that confidence takes a while to return, if ever.

Interested to see how this pans out.

That's exactly why the solution needs to be decentralized. BitUSD relies on the success of BitShares, NuBits on custodians, Tether on backers

Nobody who is serious about finance should vest too much in those

It must be decentralized and that's what we are making. Bitbay won't require 3rd party intervention, just miner votes. I just wish more of crypto knew what is about to happen here. I think there are alot of silent eyes on this thread.
There are indeed. I wonder if you would start promoting it better via bounties for marketing, campaigns and stuff like that. I feel there's a need of some advertising for this coin. This is what you need, some fuel  Wink
