3521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lisk vs Ethereum on: April 25, 2017, 10:43:06 AM
Marketcap is a useless thing to look at when comparing cryptocurrencies specially altcoins such as ethereum that have a massive supply that nobody knows who are holding them.

and the main difference between Lisk and Ethereum in my opinion is that Eth project has many bankers and whales behind it, supporting its advertising campaign with millions of dollars and also use that money to manipulate the price of it while those behind Lisk don't have any of it!

and the reason why Eth has "forked projects" is that everyone is looking for profit, and when you stick to a famous coin which is being advertised to death, you can also pump your own project and make money.

yeah i agree, there are not 4B invested on ethereum they just multiplied the value of a single coin for the total supply available, which is the wrong way to calculate the real marketcap, you need to look at the volume on exchange and see how many ethereum were actually bought before attempting to do the right math
maybe lisk is not as a bad as the other full ico coin, because you have forging with lisk, and the distribution i remember was good, but i don't think it pose any competition with ethereum
3522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins price can be manipulate? on: April 25, 2017, 10:38:08 AM
Is it true, Altcoins price can be manipulate?
I see so many peoples in any Ann thread of altcoins ask for pump and dump. I just don't understand, is this how cryptocurrencies works? While forex trading market move by good news or bad news in around the world.
If Dev or big holders can easy manipulate the price of some altcoins, I think it's not interesting anymore.

sure everything here is manipulated even bitcoin, and you think that random altcoin are not? all the altcoin have stupid low volume anyone even a newbie can manipulate it, and it's true that those altcoin that sit at 1000 satoshi and lower are all pump and dump scam to steal money from new investors that don't know how this world work
i think some legit dev could in theory preventing this with his huge premine, and counter-manipulate the market to not make the coins look like a pump and dump
3523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit Confirms On Litecoin In 2 Weeks, LTC Could Hit $25 on: April 25, 2017, 10:36:08 AM
I should admit that segwit is much ado about nothing. It doesn't solve scaling problem but it can drive the price upwards.

segwit does solve other issue like malleability, which litecoin don't need i think, but confidential transaction is a good addition for litcoin, it's not only about capacity read the document of lee about this, regarding the value i think it's normal that there is an increase, good news attract investors and miners on litecoin are pushing the segwit block because they want the value to be higher and make more profit
3524  Economy / Speculation / Re: World War III on: April 25, 2017, 10:33:11 AM
i think it's only big talk but nothing will happen rest assured, the rpesident of korea like to make this shitty talk to feel better he is like a child that need attention lol, and anyway i believe that i won't care about bitcoin if a nuclear war start, the money will be the last of your worry
3525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites earnings? on: April 24, 2017, 03:13:02 PM
I was always curious about knowing how much gambling sites actually earns and how profitable is it for them considering that some websites such PrimeDice are running for years now and bitcoin price is going up and down since then so how do they manage to keep their reserve filled and make profit in same time ?

Well, as far as i know gambling sites have save up BTC to manage to stay that long and also people wager their bitcoins to play in their sites and also they get addicted in gambling games like dice games just like me but some of the gambling sites get bankrupt because of people won't wager anymore because of some gambling sites have less BTC and can scam you but those big gambling websites have the true and fair games.

These gambling sites didnt go bankrupt. It is more like they just vanish into thin air and run away with all the investors money. There also have been some cases whereby the websites got hacked and thus went bankrupt but most of the time, the fake website will announce that they are 'hacked' and then run away with all the money.

it doesn't make sense for them to run away with the money, if they are earning they should keep the support to increase the userbase and make more, if they are not earning it mean that no one is using it and they can't either way run away with the money, it's the same as the exchange, customers support coem before everything
3526  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: April 24, 2017, 03:08:09 PM
I still don't get why people use the site. Payouts are crazy small.

If you really need bitcoins there are other ways where you can get much larger amounts for barely any work. Like many new coins offers free airdrops or bounties by doing simple tasks. That and if your account is old enough you can do a signature campaign promotion.

They aim for the lottery I guess, it is like winning solution there. Some of them think they can win the lottery by keep on getting their faucet though. But we never know when will luck comes right? May be one day they will win it. And btw you should remember they have huge payout if hit 10000 so may be some of them are chasing this thing too

i never won a single time on the lottery of this faucet, not even the jackpot that you need to hit 10k to have, it seems like impossible to do, could someone share if it's possible to win those?
3527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What to mine with GPU in 2017 on: April 24, 2017, 03:03:35 PM
It is almost half of 2017 and mining etherum or ZEC or monero is not profitable anymore.
So what to mine with ATI graphic card and it is worth to mine.
I have 2 R9 280X and 2 R9270X

And what to mine with Litecoin Asics which are about 350Khz I also have fev of them, because litecoin is not profitable to mine with that anymore.

why you say it's not profitable? 6 gpu can give you at least $10 a day depend on electricity, by mining zcash and monero, ethereum is a bit worse but you can do a good dual mining with it, both are very profitable for me

I tried ZEC but it is the same if I mine X11 or ZEC I get the same eranings per day.
I tried Etherum but I get this DAG error, DAG can not write......
As I read problem with card memmory, but can't find any solution.
So that's why I mine ZEC.
I checked Monero and Digihash but didn't find any relevant infos if that is profitable.

I have checked this site to what to mine
https://whattomine.com/
And most profitable is equihash.
I have downloaded nicehash but don't know how to setup to work on terminal withouth GUI.

x11 lol? you can't mine x11 with gpu, x11 is asic territory, zec is far better for gpu, i think you have some confusion there
3528  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Which is best place to sell bitcoin on: April 24, 2017, 03:02:15 PM
Hello Frens I am looking to sell bitcoin . I am based in qatar . Can you suggest best place where i can sell it at good rates and get money in my bank account or via western union.

best place is on exchange, like kraken or coinbase, but if you can't sell there because your country isn't listed, you can try on localbitcoin, which have all the country, you can also try to sell here in the marketplace but you need first to find a good escrow, plenty of scammers in that section
3529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which cryptocurrency for investmow ent/trading? on: April 24, 2017, 10:20:09 AM
zcash and etheruem for longterm and monero too, i also like spreadcoin, ark, atom and stratis, there is pivx that was pumped not long time ago but it's just a clone of dash it's up to you if you find this good enough to invest or not, atom and pivx are both pure pos stratis also but it's different like ETH, the other are minable
3530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining difficulties when Ethereum goes to POS - What are you going to do? on: April 24, 2017, 10:18:00 AM
Hi Guys,

You talk about alt coins that are more profitable ? Can you give us some example ?

Thx

with nvidia there are many more you don't mine ethereum with nvidia, check whattomine, but with amd etheruem with decred or pascal is the best, stick with that if you have amd, i hope that when ETH go pos, more money come in to help the profit of other big coins, or the hash will seriously kill zcash and lbry which are the other big coins
3531  Economy / Gambling / Re: ThiefMaster - Arcade BitCoin Game on: April 24, 2017, 10:13:51 AM
i don't know it look like a sum zero game, because the reward you can get is also equal to the loss, because you need more coins to steal more thereby you put more coins at risk, i don't like it much, and it's all about luck, there can't be skill if you blindly choose what box to open to fidn the best chest, i think you can add a bonus to keep it more interesting something like if i open 3 chest in a row that have more than x bitcoin i get even more
3532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1060 altcoin mining on: April 24, 2017, 10:10:22 AM
Hello miners, I'm fairly new to the altcoin mining world and I've stumbled across this forums as a major reference everytime I look for information.
My question is very simple, I have gaming computer that's not used anymore and I would like to start mining with it, it has a GTX 1060 6GB gpu in it
What coin/algo mining works best with it ? what are some of your hashrate using the same card for compare?

i suggest to mine lbry or zcash, they are the best one for nvidia for now, but one single 1060 can't do much, on lbry only 180MH and on zcash only 280 sol, whattomine say that you might earn $2 a day, but you need to factor in the electricity which you didn't tell
3533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have my pockets full of LTC and my home boys do too! on: April 24, 2017, 10:04:16 AM
what are these features? i keep hearing this about new features, but none seems to know, it's like they are making this up to pump the value

Take a look at the link below. It describes some of the new features SegWit will bring to LTC. The letter was written to miners by Charlie Lee not too long ago.

https://www.reddit.com/r/litecoin/comments/63cgfc/my_letter_to_chinese_miners_and_pool_operators_on/

so one fix is malleability issue, i wasn't aware that litecoin has this issue too, litecoin is not accepted like  bitcoin from merchants, so why they need this? confidential transactions sound interesting, it make bitcoin and litecoin both more anonymous without having the ring signature of monero or zero proof of zcash, this is a nice feature
3534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a simple PoS coin, any ideas? on: April 23, 2017, 05:03:05 PM
Thanks everyone. I am debating between PeerCoin and Atom; PeerCoin seems a lot more stable, but with the 100% interest I think I’ll go with Atom (I’m looking to make a small and potentially risky investment), but I’m not sure. Anybody have any advice?

Also, does anybody think that the Atom pump will continue or just die out and lose value?

it look stable, too bad i didn't bought more at 600 satoshi, now the price is 3k satoshi, if you think about the high interest with 100k coin now you can have 0.01 btc a day, which is very good for a pos coin, i don't think this coin will lose value, you need to check the total coins, which i remember to be in the 20M, not too high, i think there is more room for a growth in value
3535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit and Altcoin on: April 23, 2017, 04:58:30 PM
Now that Ltc is on his way to successfully  implement segwit.
Im asking my self is there are other coins that are planning to do the same, for now i Just know VIA.
any hints?

vertcoin is going to implement segwit too, i don't know why all this run to implement segwit, they think that with the segwit implementation their coin will get more value, but they don't actually need any block size increase
3536  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC up??? on: April 23, 2017, 01:53:17 PM
The price of bitcoins is going up as it was predicted to be .nothing will affect bitcoins, after SEC rejected bitcoins there was a panic over all and the price of bitcoins went down a lot and well now the price of bitcoins is  going up and up and soon it will reach upto 2000$.

not many of us that predict bitcoin price will be up like now and more high. we can only predict and see what will happen. and if bitcoin price is up like now and will reach more higher, then we can be happy to see this and we can start to sell our bitcoin to reach profit too. but for trader that only doing trading with btc-altcoin, then i think this time, altcoin will be in red flag and only waiting for bitcoin price gets stagnan or down so the altcoin will be up too and we can reach another profit.

Looks like bitcoin is ready to have a new ATH this year. Its almost $1400 and I think it will continue to rise. Almost all of alt-coin is green as well, so it looks like a good week for cryto-currency. I hope that trend will continue and we all love that, there will be a few dumps I believe because investors are selling to get profit. Alt-coins though are different, there are just there for pump and dump practice by some professional traders to gain money.

$1400? where you see this high value, all i see on kraken is $1260, you must been confusing with the peak, bitcoin last time i remember never went to $1400 not even by mistake, highest was always below $1300
3537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Classic Pump? on: April 23, 2017, 01:50:07 PM
I ended up exchanging my ETC holdings for LTC. Thanks everyone!

it's what i'm doing, now LTC has more attention, i'm getting rid of the dust from ETC and ZEC classic, both have done their times, the strategy is always the same, jump on the ship that is everyone jumping in, money are always guaranteed in this way, very profitable, still i think litecoin is only a pump and dump and will crash soon i'll leave fast if that begin to happen
3538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: April 23, 2017, 01:45:48 PM
bitcoin is less risky than other altcoin, you can invest safely in bitcoin, i also think bitcoin has less risk than holding and investing in a bank to gain interest over years, bank now are very dangerous and can go bankrupt, bitcoin can't go bankrupt, because it's decentralized, i'm saving 50% of my earning in fiat to bitcoin, for a great reward later in the future, i now this thing will go very high one day
3539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to verify if a project is genuine for a non technical user? on: April 23, 2017, 01:42:24 PM
Nope crypto panhandling is not legit.
I don't care if you think some of the bums in the crowd deserve it.

And escrow ?
What you think they can't be gamed ?

You guys are a lost cause.
ICO = SCAM .

escrow like sebastian are legit 100%, i did a trade with him all perfect. i agree that even escrow can become evil greedy bastard that want to scma you, but it's not always the case, there are many very old escrow here like john or jonattan i don't remember his nick name, which held many bitcoin in the past even 1000 and never scammed anyone, i think the more trustworthy escrow are only the one that escrow a very large amount of funds, like 1000 btc, all the other have still a chance to scam later by building trust

You don't get it, the problem isn't about the escrow it self, because yes, the escrows are trusted, but when they release the funds, these escrows are no longer responsible for their usage. There happens the scam. What ever you say, an escrow never engages his reputation in a project, he is just a middle man holding funds for a short time.

the escrow only release the funds when the partecipants get their coins, i can't see how after the escrow release the funds the people who invested are scammed, this is impossible
3540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What you all need to launch a alt coin? on: April 23, 2017, 01:41:12 PM
it depend if it cost you money or not, if you do a copy paste will cost you nothign but if you need help for programming and adding nice featurs, you will need to invest something, but the big investment is needed to get the coin listen on exchange, usually every dev do this with prmeine or early mine of the first blocks to ensure money for his project
