Applying Linked Data principles to the Blockchain enables any kind of well described data to be included in a block or transaction. This turns the Blockchain into a massive distributed database for any arbitrary data, and thus the catalyst for an infinite number of applications.
Useful Mining
By allowing arbitrary data in the blockchain, and being algorithm agnostic, Mining can be considered as Distributed Computing. For example a sha3+math+link algorithm may allow the processing of complex genome information, whilst scrypt+notify may allow an autonomous and anonymous social application to be developed.
Modular, Open, and Extensible
Anybody can freely create or extend any aspect of any component within the system, from new transaction types and algorithms through to alternative clients and applications. Consider the Blockchain as a stream of data, where applications can listen for and react to the specific types of data they are concerned with.
Catalyst for Change
Ascribing usefulness to the currency creation process and utilizing the most pervasive technologies available, we hope to create a platform that fosters unexpected reuse and independent innovation, spurring a new generation to create a multitude of valuable interoperable applications. Hopefully we'll also see some new ways of working, and getting paid - particularly through the rise of the Digital Autonomous Corporation.
Development Approach
A traditional Cryptocurrency WOLF has been created to provide a proven base for the project, and to ensure interoperability with the current cryptocurrency space. Each component of the new architecture will be created, tested, and bootstrapped to the existing currency, until eventually the new ecosystem entirely replaces the legacy system.
Web Mining
In an effort to provide a viable alternative to the ubiquitous advert sponsored web, we begin the development by creating in-browser mining software (it should be running right now!). In the future this should allow content-lockers and ad-zones to be replaced with background mining scripts in order to monetize web content.

Miner Management
Somewhere between a Mining Pool, an Ad Server, and a Compute Cluster Manager. This pivotal component collects new transactions from connected blockchain(s), splits the workload into smaller units (or shares) and delivers it for processing to connected Web Miners.
Milestones: Testnet Integration, WOLF Chain Integration, Multiple Chain Integration, Unique Transaction Support
Extensible WebChain
Blockchain migrated to Linked Data and mounted on the Web. Including a chain descriptor file which specifies the base requirements ()the data which must be present) and settings (configuration data, names, links, block targets, verification servers and so on), from this web mounted file the first block can be generated, and the chain thereafter.
Milestones: WOLF Chain Descriptor, WOLF Blocks and Transactions, New Random Chain, Legacy Existing Chain, Extended Transactions and Unique Data
Web Client Libraries
Core libraries for interfacing with the WebChain and consuming WebChain data.

On exchange volume is rapidly decreasing, however, the price is not falling. It seems that all holders are quietly waiting for the new features and do not want to sell. This is good  Words are getting out  still hold all of my pawncoin, will wait for the update. |

What do you mean where this coin aims? You don't expect us to be writing on the page 24/7? The ANN and the title is self explaining. Didn't the buy orders rose to 8 btc due to the IPO? Tell me how the title and ANN is self explaining? It just tell that Pawncoin is switching to PoS? Open post not tell anything about that we are aiming to pawnshop or 3rd generation coin? Or is that plan already changed? People are also interested about big picture and future plans, not just what is happening at the moment. The post about 3rd generation was deleted before the focus was on the stuck blockchain. We are still on track but it's better to be late than release a bug PoS Pawncoin protocol. yes, i agree with this, will wait more time for the epawncoin ipo. |

update I'm implementing the following now: - removal of percentage based fee, replace with a traditional fixed 0.002 WOLF fee
- a block reward of 0.48 WOLF for 17 weeks, this will produce 27417.6 WOLF (1612.8 per week)
- a block reward of 0.24 WOLF for 26 weeks, this will produce 20966.4 (806.4 per week)
- (optional - codified) a permanent block reward of 0.12 WOLF thereafter (this will produce 20966.4 per year)
- (optional) move to PoS, or other
We'll discuss the following in due course, for now it's important to get miners in and supporting the network, and some forward momentum. We'll gather comments on moving forward for a long term mining strategy over the coming days and weeks. New client will be released in two batches, first set of clients will update to the new network, the next set of clients in a few days will feature new branding (still being discussed). thanks for the update!!! |
