Hey Folks, We now have a working paper wallet generator. I've used the source from walletgenerator.net and modified their code to work with magi. Now we have the ability to cold store our coins or the ability to give away an offline wallet with some magicoins on it to a friend. The wallet has been tested by my and joelao95, we both have used the generator to get an public and privet key, sent a small amount of xmg to that address. Then after the coins where sent we imported the private key and then received our amount of xmg sent to that address. Please be sure to test it before you use it, send a small amount of xmg to a generated address and the import the private key. How to import the private key to your wallet Open help and choose, in debug go to the tab Console and type importprivkey <Your newly generated private key> The response should look like this if successful  In the image above I use a working key that has been generated with this tool just for this example. If you get any other response for ex. Invalid private key (code -5), this would mean that the generated private key is invalid. The paper wallet generator has been created to work completely disconnected from internet. The recommended way to create a wallet that is going to be used as cold storage is to download the zip file, link to zip, to a clean system, disconnect from the internet, generate the an address and then print the wallet so you have both the public and private key. Do not use print to PDF or take a screenshot and save it on the computer. Keep the printed paper wallet safe, if you loose your private key your coins will be lost and there is no way the get them back. All keys generated during the test have been working perfectly. With this is mind, we can not leave any warranty or guarantee that you will get a working pair of keys from the wallet generator. The services are fairly basic, although should help to bring some new users to CPU mining Magi. I have a bunch of other 'free web proxy' domains that have been running on this web host for well over 6 months now. Had to fine tune the settings and limits to keep them working as best as possible (service is fairly temperamental at peek / busy times) and no idea how long the free hosting will remain! Anyway, I keep these sites in weekly rotation in many proxy lists across the web and will also be adding the 468x60 banner to various traffic exchanges for the CPU mining guide. i am writing a draft i need your input please, i need some answers on that questions:
- is Magi safe? is it safer than Bitcoin or other alt currencies? if yes, why?
- Magi is fast (that's a fact, i have use it!), why it's so fast? how many times faster than Bitcoin? it will stay faster or it's faster because it haves smaller block-chain?
- What else is making Magi different?

Do i need a second pc for a second wallet or is there a way to have 2 wallets on 1 pc? You can make different adresses in 1 wallet. If you would like to have 2 different wallets I should try that on two different pc's. |

hey,
can someone tell me somthing about the stake system?
i send my coins ~1000 to a secondary address and then back to my main,
now it's showing me:
balance: 10
stake: 990
uncofirmed: 0
are the stake coins going to "balance" when they are "staked"?
i recived 0.1 xmg as reward (so low) am i getting more?
my last reward was 0.02718772 XMG my balance was around 1600 and my stake was around 400 so compare to me you got a better reward well, good to hear.... but the reward is BULL$HIT  I dont know if thats bullshit, if this is it then it is like it is. I dont know what the reward must be, but what kind of reward did you expect? Arah something you will receive some Magic Staking coins. Check the thread last 24 hours. I don't know exactly. But after becoming a junior member you can add the full signature. The avatar I don't know. Maybe after becoming a member? But is good thing you have at least your Magi wallet address in your signature. That way some Magic Staking can be sent! |
