3521  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Looking for 350-400 btc loan on: February 02, 2013, 12:56:59 PM
Have you factored in the overhead costs like car repairs, fuel, food and other necessities? How long do you plan to pay back the loan? By 20% you mean APY, right? I'm assuming that you're willing to notarize the loan and provide other information, of course.
It's not the amount that's detracting potential lenders. See: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=73599.0 and https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137118.0  for examples.

3522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is ASICs good for Bitcoin security on: February 02, 2013, 12:42:33 PM
Another hidden advantage to  ASIC's is the fact that mining botnets will fail to be profitable at all. I've had enough of people asking about that 'Bitcoin virus' in their computer and what to do about it. Gives a bad image to Bitcoin IMO. Those botnet releasers can go die somewhere quiet and leave Bitcoin now.

Yep, you're right. Thanks!  Grin

3525  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: "Nigerian" PM's in this forum? on: February 02, 2013, 10:51:07 AM
Nope, guess he didn't think I was worth it since I don't really have any money Tongue
Me either.  Cry
Then again he probably figured that he would get booted faster then he could scream 'Nigerian!'.  Tongue

3527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Blockchain support tells me to come here? on: February 02, 2013, 10:03:11 AM
I opened up a support ticket through Blockchain's website. I asked about their transaction fees and stuff like that. I'm unable to send the exact amount of the bitcoin in my wallet. They for some reason forwarded me to this public forum. I don't know why they would do that because anyone can say what they want, even if it is the wrong information...then apparently Blockchain doesn't care to provide adequate support it seems. That's pretty lame.
If you're trying to clear all coins from a wallet and it states that you need to pay a transaction fee for that, then yes, pay it. It's not for blockchain.info, and it's going to the miners who process your transaction. It's used to prevent bit-cent spam too.

怎麼領錢的全部都是Post=1的Newbie......
大多数人都喜欢潜水。。。国内的”几大“比特币论坛人气更差,几乎是死的。

全部是新戶口, 如果是不同人還好, 否則你就成了提款機了

Looking for my chance to buy now...
3530  Economy / Services / Re: Collection Agency Service on: February 02, 2013, 07:36:57 AM
How exactly would you even be able to collect BTC from someone? Unless you have their full identity, I really don't see how it is possible for you to accomplish anything.

3531  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Payment Not Delivered by "R-" for Work Rendered on: February 02, 2013, 07:34:10 AM
Take a look at the infographic created by Mushroomized.

What the fuck.

My eyes cringe; the horrible typography and lack of readability might be one of the reasons why R- defaulted on his payment.

  • Crap icons, inconsistent of theme
  • Rough edges, made in paint?
  • Typography is horrible: poor font choice, line-spacing, placement

Looks unfinished, and is far from polished. I can confidently say a 12 year old, if given the knowledge of Bitcoin, could design something monumentally better than this.

I would never consider paying for such a incompetent piece of crap, if delivered to me. Unfortunately, it was R-'s mistake for agreeing on these terms of payment.
The infographic's ain't that bad as you made it out. I personally find it to be refreshing and to-the-point.
3532  Economy / Speculation / Re: Avalon doesn't need to dump on Mt.Gox on: February 02, 2013, 07:20:22 AM
I thought they're using walletbit to directly convert their bitcoins to cash off-exchange?
3533  Economy / Services / Re: Cheap Investigative Service on: February 02, 2013, 05:24:40 AM
I can provide the info for a price. But I don't think I could make him pay. He's a career scammer. It would take a lawsuit and then go after his assets post-judgment. He's not going to pay just voluntarily. Or maybe a few touch guys personally "urge" him to pay lol. I'm no where near his location though. All I can really do is get the info.
Well, to put it into perspective, a small account like mine has over 500 BTC with him. I'm sure you'll make loads if you manage to team up with a collection agency in his area. 30% is good enough for me, and I'm sure many will agree. Let me know if you manage to do so.  Smiley
3534  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MARKED WITH SCAMMER TAG? on: February 02, 2013, 04:57:06 AM
Still waiting to get SCAMMER tag off. Absolutely ridiculous. Admin are complete retards it seems.
Oh, just go to your next account please. I understand that you've spent a lot of time prepping this account, but you've been caught, understand? Move along now.

3536  Economy / Auctions / Re: Sell your Signature! on: February 01, 2013, 04:15:27 PM
Hmm.. apparently 3 lines is the max. I've modified my existing signature to 2 lines so I can add the ad (and preserve limited real estate).

I'll bid 9.8. The proposed words can be : TU.SILVER - Take advantage of the Silver Dip and buy with Bitcoins!
I'm open to any changes though - that's only an idea.
Is the bid solely based on the price bidded?
PS: To clarify, consider the situation where a 5-post newbie bids at 0.5 bitcoins and a 1000-post member bids at 5 bitcoins.

In the case of newbies, I'll be watching them and paying daily. This is very much an experiment however newbies like sporelord and Blank have acted honorably in auctions with me so I don't have any predjudice against newbies anymore.

let's say all existing bids stand and a 5 post newbie bids at 0.5 bitcoins and a 1000 post member bids at 5 bitcoins. The winners would look like this:

1. (bid 0.5, total 0.5) the 5 post newbie
2. (bid 5, total 5.5) the 1000 post member
--- TOTAL: 5.5 --- auction winners above this line ---
3. (bid 9.8, total 15.3) johnthedong
4. (bid 9.89) evolve
5. (bid 9.9) gweedo
6. (bid 10) E&G

In the above example, we stop at 5.5 BTC, since taking your bid at 9.8 would cause me to pay more than 10 BTC.

The results of the auction currently look like this:

1. (bid 9.8, total 15.3) johnthedong
--- TOTAL: 9.8 --- auction winners above this line ---
2. (bid 9.89) evolve
3. (bid 9.9) gweedo
4. (bid 10) E&G

Thanks for the clarification - I was under the impression that you're spending up to 10 BTC for each person depending on the stats. *yawns at the 12:15 am clock*
Well, the 5-post and 1000-post analogy was meant to clarify a factor - the existing posts of the users do affect the 'valuation' of the ad as his/hers previous posts would be updated with the ad too.

3539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin IMMUNE to Bitcoin ASICs on: February 01, 2013, 03:27:00 PM
Meh. It just means that Litecoin isn't significant enough to be taken seriously yet. That's not something proud or good for Litecoin.
3540  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much time to crack a private key? on: February 01, 2013, 03:19:24 PM
Let's put this in simpler terms. You'll be better off mining Bitcoins than cracking privatekeys with the proposed resources. There is an infinitely close chance to mine an amount greater than the richest address in the blockchain, than cracking the private key associated with it.
