3521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT for money laundering? on: December 11, 2021, 02:36:33 AM
In fact, NFT is not used to launder money, but it can be said that NFT is a golden opportunity for those who want to launder money. Reason:
NFT uses blockchain technology. So it increases the difficulty in tracing the identity of the person who wants to launder money.
NFTs dealing with “artistic” topics are overvalued. Because simply, it is "art", but "art" does not have any pricing standards. If you argue, just say "I find it beautiful and valuable!". So it can cost anything, meaning the money launderer can launder as much as he wants.
NFT is inflated in terms of technology value. And in that wave of FOMO, multi-million dollar to tens of million dollar transactions are “normal”. Since then, these "normal" transactions have become "mirrors" in the media. But no longer under the suspicion of the public.
NFT has not yet received adequate attention from regulators. Rather, it is not strictly controlled for tax arrears and identity requirements for high value transactions. So, while regulations are being abandoned, this is a golden opportunity for money launderers.

This picture explains the pricing standards of today’s NFT hehehe.

Price is easily manipulated and very easily dictated because the market is not similar to cryptocoins where buying and selling occurs in real time.

Also, how does everyone know that NFTs are not being used for money laundering? Would money launderers tell you their activities?

@BitMaxz. It appears they created a private pump and dump or it might also be a move to save millions of insiders’ money in the expense of other investors. This is very unprofessional of the founders.

However, it appears that the exchange is creating enough revenue for itself for them to receive another round of investment from crypto VCs. It received a series B round of investment of $50 million. This is a big investment for a series B.

AscendEX, a global cryptocurrency financial platform, has announced the close of a $50 million Series B raise led by Polychain Capital and Hack VC, with participation from Jump Capital and Alameda Research, as well as Uncorrelated Ventures, Eterna Capital, Acheron Trading, Nothing Research, and Palm Drive Capital. Imperii Partners served as an exclusive financial advisor to AscendEX in support of the Series B fundraise process.

What type of steroids did Mike Zimmer give this Vikings defense for this game week? Najee Harris’ projected fantasy points, 14.0, but fantasy points created today, only presently 4.8. I am quite certain that Vikings DST is presently scoring 20 points or more for this game hehe.

Good luck to everyone in the playoff. It appears that I will not beat Taco Corp. Najee should be scoring more than the projection to win versus his line up.
3524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Commey - December 11 on: December 10, 2021, 02:53:30 AM
You guys made me laugh  Grin.

Anyways, thanks for the compliment but labeling me as a boxing expert is too much but appreciate it that you have noticed my speculations in boxing as I'm an avid fan of this sweet science since my teens. Lots of users here who are better than me when it comes to boxing speculations, @Baofeng is a legend for me when it comes to this sport.

Back to the topic, the odds for Loma to win by KO is not too tempting especially to us non-high-roller gamblers and Loma is out to prove that he is the top dog of this division so he will try his best to KO Commey if there is an opportunity.

I'm seriously contemplating on betting for Loma to win by decision with that 3.45 odds because Commey's only KO loss came from Teofimo Lopez who is a well-known brawler and a heavy puncher, I think that he has the chance to last the full 12 rounds.

@Baofeng, what's your take on this one bro?

You do not think that Lomachenko might have more motivation to knockout Commey after witnessing the lacklustre performance of Gervonta Davis and the boring performance of Haney? This is his chance to snatch that opportunity from those champions hehehe.

In any case, I will follow the experts for this one.

@Boafeng. Your fans are waiting hehehehe.

He will always go for the knockout if the opportunity presents itself. His power is under rated because we are at awe with this technical prowess.

So with that said, the under 8.5 round is good to bet @1.89. Good to throw some decent amount of money as I don't see this going 12 rounds.

And probably yes Loma will be motivated to show who is the best 135 lbs right now, those champions are boring, Davis specially Haney who don't have the firepower but still a champion because of careful matchup.

I am also speculating that the under 8.5 rounds, however, @Boafeng and @bisdak appear to be predicting that Lomachenko might also win on a decision because Commey’s only defeat on a knockout is versus Teofimo Lopez, who is a heavy puncher. Lomachenko’s knockouts came from when his opponents did not see the punch coming.

I asked a similar question before with FTX and we had a very good reply from @Ramitov hehe. I presently now want to ask everyone to share your experiences and reviews in using Ascendex exchange.

How would you rate the site’s trading engine, the KYC process, deposits and withdrawals, and also the safety and security of our funds held in the exchange?

3526  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-10-5] New York's next mayor wants to be paid in Bitcoin on: December 10, 2021, 01:01:47 AM
It's only a few paychecks. It gives a public signal, a pretty important one, but it's really only for the show, not a full commitment. I.e. when something goes wrong, like price falling, the damage is no that big and selling is a very easy option that won't need publicity.

Politicians are very good in larping. They will larp for anything if they speculate that it will give them more votes, give more budget for their political campaigns or if it would make them millions. However, wait for the federal government to begin their campaign against bitcoin and the cryptospace and watch these larpers’ reactions. Will they fight for bitcoin?

3528  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on sale, will the support continues to hold? on: December 09, 2021, 03:26:35 AM
Agreed. However, sometimes bitcoin is very much manipulated by the whales. They short in the futures market first before they dump the spot market. We have witnessed sustained selling for weeks before this big dump we are witnessing right now. If anyone is not shaking their heads in suspicion on this then they might need to go to a doctor to check their brain.
I am just getting this scenario for the first time. Now that many exchanges are making it also possible to use bitcoin directly to trade USDT M futures, also that Coin M make use of coin directly, like bitcoin as the coin example. The whales can likely just use bitcoin for the trading and short it but later also sell the bitcoin which will result to further price fall. People just need to be careful, a lot of trader's fund had liquidated when bitcoin plunged from $57000 to $40600. The market is mature but there is still manipulations.
Also after manipulating everyone and dumping, they begin buying all the lower priced coins then begin pumping the market again and create fomo hehe. I am shaking my head why there are some people who still think that the dump was caused by weak hands. There are no more weak hands. All of them have no more money hehehehe.
We can't totally blame the whales here, if that's how they make money, so be it. But overall I don't find that 100% this is the reason for some dumps on the market. We already reached a $1 trillion crypto market cap, volume is growing and I believe manipulate is slowly difficult as the volume continue to go up.

Another thing here is the traders who are using leverage too much or don't really know how to use leverage. Because these leverage trades could be a trigger also on short/long squeeze and massive percentage of dump or a pump.

I reckon for a not very mature and very manipulated market similar to these we witness in the cryptospace, big dumps on everyone will occur more than markets from Wall Street. Once the funding rate is on a certain level, someone will begin deleveraging and reset the funding rate. This is the work of the whales usually. However, it appears it is Tether protecting support through Bitfinex.
3529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another Ethereum killer? The next Bitcoin? on: December 09, 2021, 02:51:15 AM
@Abiky. I agree on the represntation on what cryptocoins should or should not be, however, in blockchains that want to be the backend for decentralized smart contracts and applications, how much decentralization does it really need? Solana is more centralized, however, is it centralized described as a network running from only 1 server? I reckon we should begin to view it deeper more than the storylines are telling us.
3530  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-12-07] Berkshire's Charlie Munger Praises China for Banning Crypto on: December 09, 2021, 01:01:03 AM
@LeGaulois. He has become an important person in his world and has come to believe in his own scam as the one and only truth. It is not very dissimilar in some of the people in the cryptospace where we say another coin is a scam only because we are not holding them. It is hypocrisy everywhere. This is everyone including also me hehehe.
3531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Commey - December 11 on: December 08, 2021, 03:32:57 AM
@bisdak. You are the boxing expert hehe. What is your prediction for this fight?

I speculate that Lomachenko might see it as his chance to give the fans and the boxing promoters an unforgettable performance to make an argument as the next challenger of Kambosos. This is also after we witnessed not very good performances from Gervonta Davis and Haney.

Lomachenko odds is very small, also small on the Lomachenko knockout odds. However, total rounds for the right might be under 8.5 rounds with odds 1.89? We have also witnessed Lopez knockout Commey in round 2.
3532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 08, 2021, 02:37:10 AM
It appears some people are speculating that Gervonta Davis is not that good after Cruz hehehe. In reality, Gervonta Davis’ poor performance for the fight versus Cruz was because of an injury of his left hand that might have occurred in round 5.

In any case, Ryan Garcia appears that he wants to fight Gervonta but he also said that team Mayweather never gave him an offer. Ryan Garcia is not very active and oddsmakers might make this near equal, I reckon. Both have the ability to win versus one another.

Never offered me anything, typical mayweather games. I know you like to beat on “pretty girls” but this one going to beat your ass back

3533  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Calls for Global Crypto Regulation on: December 08, 2021, 01:45:34 AM
What some people have said in this thread might be true, that CZ has this level of arrogance or hubris. However, this might not only be about CZ’s attitude. It might also be because Binance has something to hide which might be what the regulators are speculating. I would not be very shocked if Binance is used as part of the process for a complex global money laundering ring.

In any case, Binance is applying for a UK license while it is being investigated in other jurisdictions. This is the first test, I reckon. If this is a success and they are awarded a license, Binance might also get clearance in those other jurisdictions. However, if denied and regulators keep investigating, it might be the beginning of something similar to the failure of Bitmex.

Binance Will Apply for UK License Despite Its Local Regulatory Issues

Changpeng Zhao – Chief Executive Officer of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance – said his company will apply for a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) license in the United Kingdom. While there has been tension between the trading venue and the local watchdog for some time, the exec assured their relationship had improved lately.

In a recent interview with The Telegraph, CZ revealed that Binance is looking to re-establish its presence in the United Kingdom and “serve UK users in a fully licensed and fully compliant manner.” He outlined several company changes that will resolve some of the issues with the local regulator.

“We’re fully re-engaged there. We’re making a number of very substantial changes in organizational structures, product offerings, our internal processes, and the way we work with regulators.”

Having received public backlash not only from the UK regulator but also from many others worldwide, the trading venue decided to re-adjust its structure. Established as a decentralized platform with “no headquarters and no borders,” it is now looking for a place to settle.

3534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another Ethereum killer? The next Bitcoin? on: December 08, 2021, 12:57:07 AM
Yeah but how can something be an ETH killer when it is heavily centralized. I know that will change at some point , but currently that is not the case. I do like what they are doing, and their transaction throughout is amazing, combined with their speed, they have a chance to take them out. But only if they decentralize. Time will tell all!

However, it is being a little centralized that causes Solana, Binance smart chain and other blockchains to be faster than their competitors. If you ask them to be more decentralized, it will be more work for their to transmit data to all of the nodes if their are more of them and slow them down.

There was an article about this where it said some centralization is acceptable because for blockchains to work on a real world setting, it must be a balance between speed and security.
3535  Bitcoin / Press / [2021-12-04] Berkshire's Charlie Munger Praises China for Banning Crypto on: December 07, 2021, 03:51:41 AM
He can only wish that bitcoin and much of the positive developments in the cryptospace was not invented hehe. A translation of his statement can also be I wish bitcoin was not invented so we can maintain our monopoly on wealth creation. It is certainly very clear that the cryptospace has been receiving billions in institutional investment which would have been invested in Wall Street if there was no cryptospace hehe. He is irritated by this.

In any case, this news annoyed me. I am sharing it annoy also you heehehehehe.

Berkshire Hathaway Vice Chairman Charlie Munger, Warren Buffett’s right-hand man, says China did the right thing to “ban” cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin. He wishes that cryptocurrencies had never been invented, emphasizing that he will not participate in the crypto boom. He considers “this era even crazier than the dot-com era.”

The Berkshire chairman made a few other comments regarding bitcoin and cryptocurrency this year. He opined in May: “I should say modestly that the whole damn development [crypto] is disgusting and contrary to the interest of civilization.”

@Hueristic. The Patriots cover the first half. I am so certain that the Bills will not have 7 points if the ball did not touch the Patriots’ player after the punt. The Bills were very lucky to have that free run then converted to a touchdown.

Josh Allen and Lamar did not become the players I speculated they would be for this year. It appears MVP might again be Aaron Rodgers or it might also be Tom Brady? However, I want Kyler Murray. The Cardinals have been very good, he deserves it.
3537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley 2 - December 18 on: December 07, 2021, 01:42:47 AM
It appears that it will certainly be a very merry Christmas for the Woodley family. He will not only be paid nicely for this fight, according to some articles, there is a knockout bonus of $500,000 in this fight for Woodley. The bonus will be paid for by Jake Paul himself hehehehe. This will be good comedy if he is sleeping in the middle of the ring hehe.

With the recent announcement that Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley 2 will take place on December 18th – following Tommy Fury’s withdrawal from his planned PPV boxing bout with Paul, due to injury – the social media celebrity turned pugilist made an unsurprisingly bold public offer to go with the fight contract.

“I’m giving him $500k extra if he can knock me out,” Paul told fans in a short video message delivered over Twitter.

But, unlike the tattoo bet that both men agreed to ahead of their first fight, this isn’t just some handshake deal. MMAJunkie’s Nolan King reports that he’s had confirmation from Paul’s camp that the $500k clause is in Woodley’s contract, signed and delivered.

3538  Other / Archival / Re: BitMEX - Derivatives Exchange on: December 07, 2021, 12:29:51 AM
@Ratimov. Bitmex must adjust or it will die hehehe.

I am not certain if anyone noticed this, however, the cryptospace was hyperdollarized because of the fast growth of Tether after 2017 or it might be in that year it began. I remember everything was counted in BTC when I was trading in Bittrex before and trading was always altcoins against bitcoin. Altcoins against fiat trading did not have volume and no one wanted to hold fiat in exchanges unless they traded it. The existence and popularity of tether changed this.
3539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gervonta Davis vs. Isaac Cruz - December 5 on: December 06, 2021, 05:12:42 AM
It appears I very much underestimated Isaac Cruz. This Mexican moves like Mike Tyson and he has a great chin. He also fighting more impressively than Gervonta Davis. I think none of Haney and Gervonta deserves to challenge Kambosos for all those championships if Lomachenko wins his fight versus Commey impressively. I am honestly wishing that Isaac Cruz will win this. This is a very good performance.
3540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gervonta Davis vs. Isaac Cruz - December 5 on: December 06, 2021, 03:33:57 AM

So do you think Mayweather is not cherry picking here? If he knows they have very good advantage, the reason why they chose this fight. Anyway, putting money on Davis but on the over/under category. If this will be another upset in boxing, curious what will be the reaction of Mayweather here...
Issac Cruz will have a hard time against Gervonta Davis, but I never rule out an upset, we've just got a huge upset last week, it's possible to happen again, if there's an upset here I will consider this as the biggest upset of the year, probably much bigger than the Kambosos - Lopez fight, if Isaac can take Davis punches then we are in a big surprise.

I reckon that this might be one of those fights where we can rule out an upset. This might be 90% less of an upset compared to Lopez’s loss versus Kambosos hehe. Similar to what @bisdak has said, Lomachenko was the only boxer with a name in Lopez’s list of wins. There were also mentions of a shoulder injury on Lomachenko’s shoulder during that fight.

Also, Isaac might not take Gervonta’s punches. The fight might be over with a knockout from Gervonta in 7-9 rounds. He will certainly have the motivation to make his win better than Haney’s fight to attract the attention of the promoters and negotiate to give him the next opportunity to challenge Kambosos.
