3521  Economy / Economics / Re: Future of Bitcoin Economics on: June 18, 2016, 02:26:19 PM
Actually the future is pretty predictable, the history is showing bitcoin has made giant steps considering that is only 7 years old. I think bitcoin will keep going this way and many of us here think it will bitcoin will have a bright future so the future of bitcoin Economics will be great , no need to worry of it, bitcoin will be without a doubt toward a bright future. Investment in bitcoin as a store of value is great.
3522  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoins safe? on: June 18, 2016, 02:22:43 PM
Definitely bitcoin is better than depositing your money in the bank, in which in my country they give you about 1% profit annually so if you put 100.000 Euro , you get 1.000 Euro per one year, pretty pathetic don't you think considering I am in a European country. Different with bitcoin , many people think bitcoin is still new and has big potential to raise even more after a few years, so yes bitcoin is pretty safe as an investment and store value of your money. After a few years I am even sure you will see your money growing cause the price of it should be up by then.
3523  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we should fear a cashless world on: June 18, 2016, 02:19:27 PM
A cashless world would never happen. Governments of countries would never let this happen. Bitcoin is one of the worst things for them. If bitcoin doesn't give them any benefits, then they are just going to stick with fiat.

Governments are the ones who are pushing for a cashless world. A cashless world doesn't mean bitcoin. It means that all transactions are conducted through banking channels and there is no leakage in tax revenue.

That is the worst can happen to us, banks controlling us and robbing us more than that they are already doing. Bitcoin is an answer to this but still isn't enough , at least is helping us to evade quite some taxes, in my country online earnings are not taxable as its not known as a legit way of revenue, so Bitcoin has helped me a lot in this way, what I win in bitcoin is 100% mine and the same when I withdraw in cash.
Bitcoin and FIAT can't do without each other at this stage, who knows what can happen next for the moment, cashless world is not possible.
3524  Economy / Economics / Re: How good are you at managing your money on: June 18, 2016, 02:09:45 PM
While we are all here on this forum to earn one way or another, how well do you manage that money after you've earned it. Do you trade your Bitcoin as fast as you can spending it all in a day or do you save it? I recently got paid for a job I did in programming and i keep finding myself wanting to spend more of that money i made. I have a lot of credit card debt and that is not good. I have destroyed only two ofg my credit cards to which I owe thousands of dollars on.

how do you spend your money?
I rarely ever spend my money. Most often when I go to the bank to deposit money and I get a balance check I see I have more money than I though and it allows me a lot of freedom for whatever I decide to do.
I have a suggestion for you, instead of putting your money to bank why not invest it with bitcoins. It is just a simple buy and keep procedure. If you need money then you cash out, I think that would be awesome, that is like dual way of savings and investment.
Investing in bitcoins is good but it is risky as we never know when the price will fall back and if you buy now you might lose your investment. For me, this is only good if you have a lot of money to risk for and you can accept of whatever happens to your investment.

Now its not a very good time to buy although it still maybe, considering that many of us here believe price of bitcoin will skyrocket after some years, so if you are in for the longer term to hold your coins hoping to be richer than you are now thats good, if you want it for shorter term, buying coins is not advised. However bitcoin is a great tool to manage your money, once you have converted FIAT to bitcoin there is higher chance you keep it this way rather than when you have it in cash which you can be tempted to spend.
3525  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum not connecting, but already sent money to wallet on: June 18, 2016, 09:55:19 AM
Thats quite interesting to know then...because the second I opened Tor and reopened electrum, everything connected. I'd be interested to know what happened in the background to allow electrum to connect...

Nothing happened, except that your internet connection started working OK, I am sure you can connect electrum to its own servers without the need of opening any of the browsers, TOR ,Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari , Electrum should connect to its servers even if you click it (for example I in Linux click Applications-Internet-Electrum and it connects) I don't have any other thing open, I just have a good internet connection running. There's no tie between electrum and TOR or whatever other browser that is.  You can give it a try and let me know, but I am sure it will connect as long as you have a good working internet connection.
3526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Does it have a POSITIVE IMPACT on your life? on: June 18, 2016, 09:51:58 AM
yes it have a positive impact on my life. it has even change my life style.  i am doing earning from a signature campaign and it is supporting me and even my family.

You must live in a very poor country if by doing signature campaign, the current one you are in, the lowest paying in this forum is supporting you and your family. If it happens you live in such country you can go to a new signature when you reach full member rank and do even better for supporting your family.
3527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the price of bitcoin important? on: June 18, 2016, 09:46:49 AM
Who say it isn't , then that person its plain stupid and the below example shows why bitcoin price really matters, its a daily life example

When bitcoin price was 350 USD, with 1 BTC you could buy a normal gaming computer online or offline stores
Now that the bitcoin price is 750 USD with 1 BTC you could buy an extreme gaming computer online or offline stores

That is a 400 USD difference price per 1 BTC , imagine if someone one had 100 btc that it is 40.000 USD, this amount is life changing in India for example. Thats why bitcoin price really matters.
3528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why in some countries Bitcoin is banned on: June 18, 2016, 09:34:43 AM
Because bitcoin can make you invisible in the net , government block gambling websites, you go gamble with bitcoin , first case you evade government supervision.
Also you evade taxes which is the number one priority the government has over you, they say since I offer you , police protection, schools for education and hospitals for your healthcare , you have to pay taxes , with bitcoin you can evade this too. There are a lot of other things from which you can evade from government supervision by using bitcoin thats why a few countries are obsessed to ban bitcoin, but truly bitcoin cannot be banned as long as there are alternative tools( TAILS and Electrum together in an OS to bypass government supervision via your IP). So I can understand why some governments are so obsessed with banning bitcoin but in the end they can do us no harm at all.
3529  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain wallet hacked and all fund has been taken out on: June 18, 2016, 09:17:35 AM
Sorry for being harsh but will always be against people using and defending online wallets after the most hacks happens to them and in this case is no exception. I am sorry for your loss but at least you have learned the hard way that if you want to keep you bitcoins online and not in a hardware wallet at least try a desktop wallet which has 0 hacks so far ,electrum (when user is advanced in knowledge) as after all it the end it depends on the user. Just download Electrum now from its official website and start a new safe journey. We cannot cry over spilled milk. Make sure you have a clean PC, considering whats happened, a format will be highly advisable then start over with Electrum. Or buy a used old 2005-2006 laptop and keep electrum there and don't use that laptop for any other thing except bitcoin.

STOP USING ONLINE WALLETS !!! SAVE YOUR BITCOINS !!!
3530  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HashOcean.com Scam or legit plz on: June 18, 2016, 09:00:18 AM
As they claim they have  mining farms all over the world maybe if they provide physical address then could get caught in regulations and
Tax if the government of that country could track them down.?
Also about the payment as I can say for my self have 52 KH/S and it gives 0.00038 each day, now you can calculate if the list above is true
Or not.

No country can track them down as these data centers are just imaginary friends for the noobs who keep believing this shit. They can add as much data centers as they want, maybe they will add one in Iceland (imaginary speaking of course) as there are a few real mining farms there. Lowering daily profits is just to keep this ponzi going for a bit more, it will soon collapse and will leave once they have hit the target money, they are aiming for a big amount this time. Once they did it via Hashprofit but the funds were smaller that time. They are the same group.
3531  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: What to set transaction fee? on: June 18, 2016, 07:07:59 AM
I used dynamic fees yesterday and it took about 8-10 confirmations for my transaction to get confirmed. Wtf is happening?

As long as you have 1 confirmation it is confirmed by the network, so I think you are misleading us and maybe the website where you sent the bitcoins need 8-10 confirmations in order for your coins to be in your balance in the website you sent them. Once you get a small part of the circle in red in the electrum transaction it means it has already 1 confirmation and is already confirmed in the network.
3532  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Trouble installing on Ubuntu 16.04 on: June 18, 2016, 06:56:43 AM
Quote
Electrum is available inside Ubuntu packages. so the following will work fine:
Code:
sudo apt-get install electrum

I gave this a try and got the following response:
E: Unable to locate package electrum

this is linux related trouble so you should ask/google it.
read previous comments for alternate link to install it or do the following fix:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/378558/unable-to-locate-package-while-trying-to-install-packages-by-apt

although Electrum can't be found on xenial(which is Ubuntu 16.04LTS) for some reason, but it is on Trusty(which is the last LTS-14.04 varsion)

You just need to add PPA of Electrum as it is not by default in the 16.04 LTS packages (google it as I am at work now and can't search it for you) I am sure you will find it pretty easily.
Also if you write in google search box (How to install electrum on ubuntu via terminal) you will get all the help needed. Give it a try. I installed Electrum via command line in both my Ubuntu Desktop and Mint Laptop by following simple guides online via the terminal.
3533  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum not connecting, but already sent money to wallet on: June 18, 2016, 06:52:59 AM
OK...I am a complete moron!! This entire time I didn't have my tor browser running. I completely forgot that it runs over Tor and was trying to connect without it open. The second I opened my Tor browser it connected. Sorry for wasting your time...

Although I'm sure this happens to other noobs like me all the time. So I figure this post will help plenty of others. Again, remember to have your Tor browser connected before opening Electrum.

Actually you don't need to have TOR browser or any other browser opened in order for Electrum to connect, just your internet connection on. Electrum don't run over TOR it has its own servers there are actually 50 as far as I know. Since you are saying you are using El Capitan latest Mac OS X system electrum definitely doesn't need TOR to run. Even in the TAILS os which is specifically TOR and Electrum designed , Electrum can connect on its own servers via your internet connection without you opening any browsers at all.
3534  Other / MultiBit / Re: Forgot password multibit on: June 18, 2016, 06:48:19 AM
Maybe this  reply will not be liked here as we are in Multibit client, but for persons who keep forgetting passwords it would be much better to use Electrum instead, all you need is the SEED words ,safely stored in a secure place and even if you lose the password to your wallet, you can restore it from the SEED and add a new password. Electrum would solve a lot of troubles from what I am reading in the Multibit section, many people not syncing correctly, other have forgotten passwords so it would be a nice idea to make the transition from Multibit Classic to Electrum, cause as far as I know also Multibit HD can be restored from the seed.
3535  Other / MultiBit / Re: MultiBit HD - Payments Status ? on: June 18, 2016, 06:42:07 AM
Don't worry it just takes sometimes for Multibit HD to sync depending on peers at the given time and of course from your internet connection, as long as the money is in your wallet Multibit HD there is nothing to be worried. However I suggest you install electrum cause its very easy to use and you are in charge of all the addresses and backups from the electrum seed (as far as I know MultibitHD only backups the last address).
Anyway this is just personal taste, cause both Multibit HD both electrum are very good desktop wallets.

I think now your payment should be confirmed since its been 2 days since you posted this. Update us on your situation.
3536  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is it illegal for someone to hack my BTC wallet? on: June 18, 2016, 06:18:12 AM
Yes it is illegal, stealing and hacking are punishable by law.  But how could someone hack your BTC wallet?  We have unique addresses and it cannot be stolen.  You can file case but up to what extent?  How you will identify the hacker?  Who will you sue?  Just be sure to change your password every now and then.

Your BTC wallet can be hacked quite easily actually , especially if you have an online wallet, a phishing email or a keylogger trojan records all of your passwords and boom your bitcoins will be gone. A bit more difficult when you use desktop wallets , and regarding to trace it , in the bitcoin era is very difficult to trace the hacker if not impossible, it has been impossible in most of the cases. You can not identify him as he maybe using a lot of addresses and also decides to mix the coins in a mixer service making it even more difficult to track.
3537  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HashOcean.com Scam or legit plz on: June 17, 2016, 12:36:40 PM
i have some ..and still getting return ..not sure how much day i will get more but till now i am getting it

Trust me it will be for very few days, it will be a miracle if Hashocean stays online for another month, different other related ponzies already collapsed with bitcoin price increase (cldmine) ,others are showing signs of running out of funds (topmine) , so with halving it will be the end of all these ponzi scams and their biggest one which is Hashocean. Scream and crying we will see a lot here as a lot of noobs still invest there thinking they will be online forever.
3538  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HashOcean reviews on: June 17, 2016, 12:32:05 PM
The daily payouts from HashOcean is decreasing these few days. haha. If you are not already in HashOcean, stay out.

Oh yes, this is how the game starts. After this long, finally they ve discovered mining depends on difficulty. CAUSE THEY DO NOT MINE! I expect screaming process starts very soon. People re going to complain to different police agencies, dig info who s behind, blame each other, etc.

Now that the price of bitcoin is over 700 USD they have started lowering daily payments, same is doing another ponzi scam (maybe operated by the same group) the topmine website has reduced the price of a TeraX (equal to 1 KHSH in Hashocean) I bet my house they will fall soon after the halving no doubt about that.
3539  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Neteller scammer << \ steal my $$ out account and not give back. on: June 17, 2016, 12:22:50 PM
A lot of thread of complaints regarding so called big payment processors online, like Paypal, Payza and now Neteller. Hope SKRILL stays out of this wave.
For the moment Perfectmoney, Payeer and OKPay seems good irreversible payment systems just like bitcoin so you can feel a bit safer using them rather than using reversible payment methods like the above.
In fact for the payment processors there is a sticky in the Currency Exchange section which it explain in details why you should not deal with paypal and the alikes.
3540  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Payza not processing bitcoin withdrawals due to high prices.Scumbags . on: June 17, 2016, 12:18:08 PM
I have been using Payza from a lot of time without any problem, I sold a few of my bitcoins via this payment processor and withdrew the money to my CC without any problem. However I recently left it for SKRILL and will not look back as Skrill is much better and lower fees also. I feel sad that another so called big payment processor is doing this nasty tricks in order not to pay withdrawals in bitcoin, they will surely lose a lot of customers by doing so.

To OP you can try exchanging your bitcoin via SKRILL through payexchanger.com or through a good trader here. Sorry for your situation.
