I'm happy with these:

Done the job for 2 years straight!

The corsair one is decent, its ridiculously overpriced but its in no way bad, at all. I would use it for sure if i had it, though i would never pay that much for a PSU that has lower end components than the G2, even though it has marginally better efficiency. At full load, it does not really have better efficiency.

It doesn't handle overload as well as the EVGA's, you will not see such a tight ripple effect and as stable voltage(Though completely acceptable). And i honestly don't know how well it would handle 1300-1350W load from OC'ing the miner, while the EVGA G2 1300w will handle it.

Still for the S7 run around normal clock, the corsair one is great.

I wouldn't touch XFX hardware, PSU nor GPU.

actually xfx has some good ones.

but for the  two s-7's

 I have 1 evga 1300 g2 and 1 evga 1600 p2 on a 240 volt circuit.

35207  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: with S7, bitmain vs spondoolies becomes interesting on: September 27, 2015, 03:36:27 AM
The only one CURRENTLY selling miners that are viable for home miners *RIGHT NOW* is Bitmain.

There has been at least one other "soon" announcement, out of Lktec, for a miner that the S7 appears to have been specifically designed to try to preempt.

Since the Lktec design appears likely to be based on the "announced as taped out" Innosilicon A3 design, and since Innosilicon has made miners in the past, I expect a fairly good probability of an Innosilicon miner design as well - but even if they do that, I suspect that that Innosilicon's miner would be more along the lines of a rack-mount 4-5U unit in the 20-30TH range, similar to what they did on their A2 Terminator design.

Too bad Spondoolies has abandoned the consumer market, perhaps they'd be willing to start selling their new chip *soon* to someone like Sidehack to build an actual HOME miner design out of.

Well Bitmain "Right now" has nothing. It's true there will certainly be a second batch in October but it's pretty moot right now. Meanwhile Spoondoolies is Selling those SP50, however only in Bulk. Now what qualify a "Bulk" i don't know, but that mean a reseller could get a batch and then sell it to end user.

But there's some serious issues with powering 6000W at home. Noise and heat will make this pretty prohibitive, so even if the home buyer can get a hand on a SP50, it feel like you'd need a crane to move the damn thing around.

Meanwhile Bitfury announce something even better but with no actually hardware available. At least Bitmain is getting some pressure so we might be seeing S7's at reasonable ROI soon. Then again that's pretty subjective if these 3 company sell 150PH of hardware by the halving, there won't be much current miner left after that.

6000w?  Smiley
It's 16500w AFAIK

Yes, i was missing a 1, there.
Effective Hash Rate

110 TH/s ± 10%

Nominal Power Consumption

16,570 W

Depending on how many they made for their first batch, it could equate to a fairly big difficulty bump. Though of course nothing will happen this weekend.
would be nice to see them running. i wonder what they cost. maybe 30k each? more like forty thousand each
35208  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Sidehack stick solo pool club on: September 27, 2015, 03:12:50 AM
Donation vs sticks matters in that only the 'sticks' actually partake (at least in this round) should this club hit a block, the donation ones are just that, donation.

Mostly up to phil - I really wouldn't mind a fixed forum post (e.g. the first post), if phil's most comfortable with that.. should be able to get the bot to parse it out, at least as long as it's somewhat consistent (again, e.g. "philipma1957s7" isn't clear if that's a stick or donation, from a bot's perspective - could assume anything that isn't 'stick' is donation, but then there's e.g. "kipper01") - json is cleaner, but might not exactly be second nature to him Smiley

will try to get a sorted neat list out on the top page

want to be loose and easy the first 30 days so you can donate and get a share.

we are 11-26   15 days in.

I am tired and it is late but I put a list up (mistakes  may be in it)

So based on above slimepuppy would not get a share

and fullzerostick  would drop off in about an hour.  he still shows about 500k on the daily average.

the other 18 would all get 1/18 of the pot.

and the guy that hit the block gets the fees as a bonus.

http://btc.blockr.io/charts

Sept 17    143

Sept 18    147   So very close to 1%

Sept 19    127   and as of now we are negative for the real  time number.  - 15 blocks  which is close to -4% !!!

Sept 20    124   so we are   - 35 blocks  as of last night.

Sept 21    130  so  we are -49

Sept 22    162  and that is plus 18  so we are at -31

Sept 23    155 plus 11   brings us to    -20

Sept 24    137 minus 7  brings us to  -27  as of 10 pm last night

Sept 25.    167 plus 23 brings us to -4 as of 10 pm Friday

Sept 26     152 plus 8     brings us to plus 4 as of 10 pm sat

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty is at (+2.31%)

we made 1340 blocks and have 676  left.

This is about 4.5 days. .

that 2.31 is off real time number  of 1340 vs 1336 = +0.299%

for us to reach 2.31%  is possible if we do the   next  4 days over 150 average.

Banned. People are not allowed to intentially imitate others. If the name was like Bitcoinguy vs Bitcoinguys or something generic, its fine, but pcfli and pclfli shows malice and intention.

Thank you.  As I think it is the correct choice and policy for this specific offense.

It is
exactly as you say.
35212  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: with S7, bitmain vs spondoolies becomes interesting on: September 26, 2015, 07:27:13 PM

Too bad Spondoolies has abandoned the consumer market, perhaps they'd be willing to start selling their new chip *soon* to someone like Sidehack to build an actual HOME miner design out of.

this would be really nice.

Phil, the included data cables are long enough to stick 2 or 3 of these to 1 controller? Can we get a picture of how the 2 of them look together?

I ordered custom cables

 I have a photo wait a minute

here is a shot of my controller loaded for 6 boards.  so:

 1)full
2) full
 3) full
4)full
5) blank
6)full
7) blank
8 )full
9) blank

2 custom long with 4 stock short  this allows for 1 cat 5 not 2 and 1 unused controller

this shows the long and the short cables.

This should belong to the scam accusations.

It shouldn't. It's fine in Meta. It's clearly asking about forum policy.

Yes I am not accusing him of being a scammer.  It is 100% transparent he copied the name and 100% transparent he did it to scam.

I have had phillipma1957 = fake  vs philipma1957 = me  and they tried to scam via pm not via posts. So it is not 100% transparent since pm's are hidden.

But when it is all posted right out there in the open  why don't we just banish the copy cat and the posts and never let the name be used again.

There is no doubt in the case of pclfli a certain copycat done to scam.

So why not ban him and ban that name?

It is 100% he is a fake and did a scam post.

I reported the post.  Which is okay but this type of copy cat name is done over and over and over.

A ban of the guy and the name seems better then 4 or 5 or 6 of us  calling him a scammer.

I have at least 2 copycats of me.   and I am sure there are 1000 or more here.
