DeathAndTaxes i think this is what you wished for. Will you go forward with your immersion cooling project?
3542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 02, 2014, 03:41:11 AM
why even bother to run a jupiter at todays difficulty?

Because each Jupiter costs ~$100 per month in electricity to run at 15 cents per kilowatt hour, and will bring in between 2 and 3 bitcoin in the next month.

We're still a long way from a Jupiter being unprofitable to run, and it's fairly power efficient compared to most other hardware on the network at around 1.3W/GH.
Aren't Jupiters still right up there in terms of power efficiency?  If not, can someone please show me a more efficient miner?  My batch 1 (October) Jupiter is 1.2 W/GH/s.
MegaBigPower Bitfurys are typically 0.9 W/GH/s. I have run them as low as 0.7 W/GH/s when undervolted (375 GH/s @ 260W for 16 cards).

Wouldn't you make more bitcoins if you run them at full speed than what you make by running them undervolted? The difference in electricity price should be neglectable.
3543  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: March 02, 2014, 03:38:18 AM
So it turn out the Ip address changed. LoL i didn't know that. Anyways its still running only one core. Any idea guys?

RMA?
3544  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: up to 800GH/s on: March 02, 2014, 03:37:32 AM
The title says up to 800GH/s and they show 730GH/s.

With better cooling (immersion anyone?) HashFast's Golden Nonce EVO board may get up to 800GH/s.  Our test used older versions of firmware/cgminer and liquid cooling, so it obviously only represents a singular proof-of-concept, not maximum performance.

The live demo is currently running at 750GH/s:

http://setup.hashfast.com/rpi/

750GH/s is more than enough to claim the crown for The World's Fasting Bitcoin Mining ASIC.

750GH/s is at least 50% faster than Cointerra's (less than) "500GH/s" chip!   Grin

I appreciate that you replied to my post, but please understand that if you are advertising 800GH/s you must show it to the public. If you are advertising something that is only possible in a certain special condition then that is false advertising. Your immersion cooling isn't something for the average user (please take note that the "average" bitcoin user is way more advanced than an "average" non-bitcoin person). If you, the creator of this hardware can't show 800GH/s then don't advertise it as 800GH/s. Consider that only less than 1% of your customers have any idea about immersion cooling. THe "average Joe" will take as granted the 800GH/s and buy accordingly.
I shouldn't teach you how to treat your customer base, but for me you are just deceiving people. Instead of advertising 800GH/s you could easily advertise it as 730GH/s plus a special 70GH/s bonus for a special group of people that could do immersion cooling. People would love more the "free" speed than the lack of it.
3545  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: March 01, 2014, 11:41:35 AM
New thread here:

Self-Moderated, LOL!

So they can delete my comment about advertising 800GH/s, but only working at 730GH/s.
3546  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: up to 800GH/s on: March 01, 2014, 11:40:56 AM
Man i love this American marketing again! The title says up to 800GH/s and they show 730GH/s. WTF is wrong with companies and with people?
3547  Economy / Securities / Re: [Active Mining] The UNofficial Active Mining Discussion Thread [UNmoderated] on: February 28, 2014, 05:47:11 PM
Ken is even deleting posts from the VMC thread in custom hardware.

I didn't realize that one was self-moderated too.

That's why i have created this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=253282.0
3548  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: February 28, 2014, 09:26:01 AM
I keep getting this error when I want to start Armory.  It basically forces me to restart my computer to get rid of it.  And no, Armory nor bitcoind is running.  Thank you for any assistance with this.  Also, I can tip for assistance with this.

Make sure you kill all instances of Python before trying to rerun Armory.

How hard would it be to make it support multiple instances?

3550  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: February 27, 2014, 07:57:58 PM
aside from all the dishonesty and total lack of updates these guys are, what did they call me... "not nice". I have seen these folks flat out lie on these boards about everything possible including myself. now we have all these newcomers shooting their mouths about how we should turn the check and be nice to these assholes? I gave these guys a crap load of money and they disrespect me the way they have? everyone on this thread knows i was the biggest fucking AMT fan boy right until I got to really know them. They are jerks. they have no respect whatsoever for anyone but themselves. this is not the behavior of a company that has their customers interests in mind. they are out for themselves and could care less who/what they destroy along the way. every one on this board who has received a minor can attest to the quality of the product they have received. it doesnt even look as if they care to package this shit correctly before shipping it. that's how much they care!

NOTHING AMT SAYS IS BACKED UP BY ACTIONS. THAT MAKES THEM LIARS.

I'll say it again... at best they are incompetent jerks and at worst they are thieves. Nothing good can be said about them.

By the way my daughter was born this morning at 7:45, 7lb 3oz. Nora Katherine Lenell (3rd child first girl). I am merely taking a break from the hospital at the moment. The only thing fucking my day up right now is a trip I may have to take to Raleigh tomorrow to speak with an attorney to explore my legal avenues against AMT. Fuck you for that too AMT.

I see that you are enjoying your 5% shill discount! Maybe next time you will think twice about this kind of crappy marketing.
3551  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: February 24, 2014, 12:31:27 PM
Volcanic you are wasting your time even discussing this with aerobic.  He has been blindly pro CT beyond what any reasonable person could be expected to tolerate.  It's pretty obvious he is a shill and will not ever acknowledge the simple truth that everything about them at this point is a complete and udder failure.  The only people who will ever benefit financially from CT hardware is CT!

He will continue to deny FACTS.
They are months late with hardware...FACT
The hardware does not perform as promised...FACT
They are refusing to honor their late hardware guarantee...FACT

Let him drone on about how they are for 'serious miners' while the rest of us GENERATE BITCOIN with our playtime devices that actually do what the fuck the manufacturer says they do!

Maybe he will save the Co. by ordering a few thousand of their ground breaking 400Ghs miner due out in only 4 short months...I guess those will be for the REALLY SERIOUS miners!!!  lollooolloll

He is not a shill. He is an investor.
3552  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New price $6K for Jingtian 28nm 1T miner on: February 23, 2014, 08:23:49 PM
Skyfromwell,
Why not price is so we can profit with it? Look at antminer, selling out every batch. What's more profitable, selling 2000 units for $3k or a few hundred for 6k? Think about it!

I understand but profit margin is thin so I have to really think what is best for us and for miners. 3k is not going to cover for costs, we do consider something in $5.5K range.

Good luck then!
3553  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New price $6K for Jingtian 28nm 1T miner on: February 23, 2014, 12:21:53 PM
Finally I was able to finish the remaing order due to the backlog of Chinese new years mass.

1. Chips are ready.

2. Boards are ready.

3. Price is good with $6K due to good price discount on chips.

Later today I will give you website to play around.

Too expensive!
3554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: February 22, 2014, 03:54:31 PM
What's the "SNMP community" and "SNMP managers" thing located in the Network tab from the new firmware?

I get 654W Power consumption from the Advanced tab. How many W for the rest of the stuff like coolers and controller board?
3555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: February 22, 2014, 01:00:12 AM
KNC is over
neptune never cover ROI
Yeah, everyone said that about Jupiter, and under worse diffchanges.
What if they give us 5Th/s hosted in mid April?
How can you even say that before knowing what the offer is?
There simply isn't enough information to make that determination IMHO.

I'm hoping for MIN 5Th/s! You can do it KnC! Make your customers happy one more time!
3556  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: February 21, 2014, 09:55:29 PM
The lack of updates from AMT is incredibly discomforting...

My wife and I have given AMT considerable thought. The only explanation for their current behavior is they are bailing with our money. They either used all our chips for another major purchaser (possibly a financier) and now they have nothing left or they are using the chips themselves and will continue to do so until they feel clients will wait no longer. These are not kids we are dealing with. No "legitimate" company on earth would behave the way AMT is behaving. Either way they are nothing short of crooks. Put the screws to these guys fast and hard and hope for the best. They are not dumb people - clever thieves. Again, I just refuse to believe a legit company would behave like this. In my 40+ years on this earth I have never encountered a company, i was not screwed by, as terrible as AMT.

You actually mean you chose AMT because of the 5% shill discount...
3557  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining technology (AMT) on: February 20, 2014, 11:26:52 PM
As soon as AMT started posting the shill clenell stopped. Do yourself a favor AMT and fire clenell because he is doing you more damage than good. And to respond to people complaining that they haven't got their miner yet by giving a free miner to someone else seems just wrong, but the "american" marketing never cease to amaze me.

nope... shill clenell is still here. he just has somewhat of a life outside of sitting at a computer 9-5. seeing as i'm a shill i might ask when do i get paid? i might as well  play along.

How's the hashing going on your AMT miners?
3558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: February 20, 2014, 01:42:49 AM
With so many refunds and with sales low i expect KnC to just double the Neptunes orders! It won't affect them so much considering their huge ass datacenter. Cointerra did it, so why not be number 1 again KnC?!
3559  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: kslaughter from [VMC] Virtual Mining Corporation Discussion deleting posts! on: February 20, 2014, 12:45:48 AM
Weekly Update 2/19/2014

We have started with a new vendor for our 28nm project.  Our custom 28nm will be very competitive in the market place and will be air cooled and use a double slot.  The estimate speed of the new card will be 432 GH/s and will be listed at $1499.00.

Management is preparing for the MSD investigation, management believes that the MSD will clear VMC of any wrong acts in Missouri as VMC has NOT offered ActiveMining shares.  Management believes that the company can be successful in the long run.  The management team is committed to seeing this through.

did we lose the eASIC "MILLION DOLLAR" NRE?

We are expecting to recover most of the eASIC NRE.

This is pure comedy and history. So after CT announces their PCIe Card ($1599-400GH/s) ken comes with this? This is too funny. Bring it on!
