Well per the community's response to the GPU miner we will begin compiling a custom miner for amd and nvidia cards which will be integrated with the installable client (auto updating clients will grab all required files during update and not require any manual input from the user)
The goal is to have gpu and cpu mining built into the client and have the client still read out hashrates and even allow the user the ability to point to a pool or solo mine it.
Please advise about any thoughts our concerns.
Another thought we are toying with is coming up with a penalty on subsidy if mining with gpu as to keep the playing field level.
In Other words gpus would be nerfed down to around acore I7 reward rate.
Looking forward to the feedback as always from you awesome folk.

I worked with it for a bit, it's only fair if I get something for it.  if the communinty collects 0.25 BTC or more to this address, i will release the miner source code for everyone: Check the original source code if it is GPL, even if you fork it, you must release the source code. he must only release the source if he distributes the binaries. as of right now he must do nothing. Dont worry... dev team said they are compiling one for us. nice to hear that, if dev can show us how to mine more it will be a good help for this community, will wait and see the dev code. any eta on that gpu miner? |

hi guys, i was thinking if is there a away i can put the wallet in my wife's laptop without her known about it like run the walllet hided in her laptop i have a i5 on my laptop but she has a i7 if i can use both to mining will be nice, but she dont let me use her laptop (only if i am going to post something in any socialmedia) obs: of course i tried to ask for it first, but she said no, because she said i was going to destroy her laptop  It's not really good to do that man... for so many reasons. From a personal perspective, that's hiding things from your wife man. LOL. Especially after she said no. And also, what if she uses that laptop when unplugged? It's going to drain her battery so fast. Also it's going to lag! She might not be able to use that laptop for much since cpu usage will be high, not to mention hot as heck on a laptop. Mining on a laptop is a sure way to destroy the laptop fast. Laptops aren't meant for that kind of thermal load for long periods. Don't do it man... not worth it if she finds out or if the laptop breaks. And she'll definitely know from how slow and hot the laptop is. But if you have to... you'd find a stealth software that can have programs turned on and isn't displayed in the taskbar. Then put it in the start up folder so when windows turns on, both the stealth and esper mining starts. I'm mining on my laptop for three years every day, 24 hours and no problems watching main during maintenance cleaning dust from the cooling system i dont think its so bad to mine this coin on a laptop. The temperatures in mine are near 72 celcius at 100% usage with four browsers open and an rdp connection always connected and performance is almost flawless. http://imgur.com/kESLBtJ |
