3947  Other / Archival / Re: Can I get a third party to look at this message log and mediate? on: September 13, 2015, 08:01:48 AM
Ok so here it goes.

Looking to have 2-3 different styles made please PM me with examples of your best

Here I am trying to get some designers to PM me with examples of their work so I can find someone to make me a few signatures.

I then receive about a dozen messages from different designers and I send them all the same message.

Ok let me see a example of how you would do this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=657601.msg7391879#msg7391879
Please review the infographics in the ANN. i would like maybe the "X" in the NEXUS.. or something that flows with the theme... and the text to be nice looking "Bitcoin rewrote from scratch: All problems solved"

Please note, I ask for a example. I do not accept or ask for any of these designers to START on a signature.

So you are up to speed now. Please review this message log directly from my inbox / outbox. If a mod can look in my inbox please confirm the legitimacy.

Some things to note, this designer sent me a price with the first couple messages. After receiving tons of examples and offers from a ton of people. He finally replied and sent me the example I requested, and it looked completely photoshopped. I replied with
Quote
before you get started on it , I have a offer from someone else to do one similar for 0.035, and after I would have some additional work

Am I wrong to think that if he wants to accept the job it will be for 0.035? ... In my personal opinion He should of replied   " 0.035 , NO THANKS " but instead he quoted me and continued on the conversation.. So I would like a public review of this message log and people tell me who is trippin here?

Not sure who is at fault here. There was clearly a communication problem here. But I want to stand my ground on the fact that I said 0.035 Is what I will pay. and he decided to go ahead and send me the code without even verifying if i really want him to design it or not. This is why I asked for a example. Feedback please.

Coinosaurus is clearly in the wrong here. The signature at the beggining looks way too photoshoped to be real. You can even see the white gap there  Smiley. Razerglass clearly said he will pay 0.035 which is allready a lot of money for a signature in my book. I believe that guy sent over the code without verifying just to force Razerglass to pay him and evade the contest while he is at it. Like the famous quote from the X-files said 'trust no one' Razerglass.
3948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ZEIT] ★ZeitCoin★ COMMUNITY [FULLY POS | 20%] [ZEIT KNIGHTS] on: September 12, 2015, 10:44:59 AM
Good afternoon. I would like to start working with this currency. With the current difficulty a good block, ¿how many coin i need for a good stake?. Would it be correct about 50,000 zeitcoin?. Thank you for all.
Zeit Coin Staking Tips

1. Make sure your PC's Time is correct.
Ver 2.0.1.7 requires your PC time to be within 1 minute of correct time.

2. Amount of Zeit to have per block.
Blocks with 50 thousand zeit per block or more will stake within 30 days
Blocks around 5 thousand zeit per block will usually stake in 30 to 60 days
Blocks of 2 thousand zeit and below, may not stake within a year.

3. Keep your Wallet Locked when you are not Synced with the network if you have coins in your wallet.
The Green Check mark will appear a few minutes before synced , but may not be completely synced yet,
Move the mouse over the Green Check mark , and it will show
Last Received Block was Generated (Time) ago.
When it says 1 minute or less , then it is a good time to unlock the wallet and let it stake.
If it says 5 minutes and you check it again a few minutes later and says 15 minutes, then close and
restart your wallet, and it will sync quickly.

 Cool

so a 50k block will get 30% interest within 30days?

3950  Economy / Economics / Re: can gold be a short-term investment ? on: September 12, 2015, 05:11:10 AM
I always have it in my mind as a long term investment but from the time gold entered the stock market things are pretty skewed over how much physical gold is available.

3955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Attaching value/deeds to the Blockchain on: September 11, 2015, 12:26:20 PM
There is a lot of talk about Blockchain (and NOT Bitcoin), and about attaching deeds/proof of ownership to said Blockchain.

So a scenario, if for example a whole country or several countries agree to attach deeds to the blockchain, of say, properties in their country, what happens to the value of a Bitcoin, and why?

In my view the value is then attached to the Blockchain, and hence the value per Bitcoin (technically, excluding things like fundamental trading, news, hype etc) must go up proportionally to the amount of BTC in circulation, and the amount of value of said object/property described by the deed.

Do you agree with this?

Secondly, I would theorise that as deeds are attached, the value goes up per Bitcoin. Miners are incentivised at this stage to mine more as there is more return per Bitcoin. A side effect of this is that the network becomes more secure, as long as it stays decentralised.

So this works well while there is a reward for mining. What happens when the reward is trivial? I suppose then miners are rewarded purely by transaction fees. The value of a transaction would be established by the amount of competition in the mining market place. So I suppose there will be an equilibrium level where people are willing to pay a certain amount per transaction. If the transaction fee is too high, people will start transacting less, and miners will have to either put up their fees (resulting in even less transactions happening), or some people will have to get out of mining and the competition will lower slightly, and the price per transaction will reach an equilibrium.

It appears to be a push pull between people's....greed, for lack of a better word.

So far it works, and it works well. With mining reward going down, things will change and my question is, will it work? I think and hope so?

I am just jotting down random thoughts one leading to the other. Comments?

If the same thing was discussed in details I would appreciate a link to thread.

PS, don't forget to download your copy of CoinATMRadar (iOS/Android) for locating BTM's Smiley

these ideas are just great and should be implemented the sooner the better. also will's should be on the blockchain too.
