I quite agree wit you ETH was rising rapidly as pumper favorite but the attack twice have taken the win out of its sail and that momentum is no longer there, however it is not a dead coin yet. You can wait it out or perhaps channel the coins to vdice which got some prospect. A lesson to note from tat is never to buy and old any coin tat is pumped, better to o wit te flow if you must, the attack, whatever you may have in mind (since there were a couple of them) was effective for sure but the reason why price is going down is because it is the natural order of things in altcoins and in every pump and dump. and it is not dead in the waters "yet" because it is a big project and lots of money have gone into it, that takes a long time to get out. They have done it every time. And the main statement, ETH will never die just caused by FUD.  FUD are always there since there are people would really likes to talk nonsense things without any basis or proofs. Decreasing prices of altcoin or any other crypto including bitcoin there are really some reasons that it causes for its price to dip or decrease just like what we saw on bitcoin but i dont think it would easily die. Obviously eth is not going to die but its had its fair sjhare of problems. Hacks, forks, ect. But just because someone talks bad about eth does not make it automatic fud. It could be the truth but you see it as fud because it can hurt your investment. People would really think bad if they said bad things about ETH and they would really see it as a FUD. There are lots of things that really happens to ETH but it could able to survive until up to now which means its a strong altcoin and it wont really die easily in my own view. Damn dude! I just have to recommend you to get into ICONOMI (ICN ). And what are they?! They are more like and investment fund which invests into good projects and altcoins and pays dividend weekly. They start paying the dividends hopefully by Jan 2017 first week or so. ico.iconomi.net ICN is also a good investment for long term since im one of its early investors i could say that this coin has the potential, regarding to OP i would suggest to invest too same as you said but dont invest all of the amount he had its better to put either 1/2 or 2/3 of his total money to ICN and the rest would be on Bitcoin. |

If you do Start->Run->diskmgmt.msc, does the HDD show up?
I remember having a new PC build that would not detect my HDD due to some offhand BIOS change. Worth a shot to look here to see if the HDD is throwing some error that Windows can detect but is not showing you.
This is possible because i do experience the same thing too on which windows does detect my HDD but it wont show or show some error and i search through google on what would be the possible problem and its related to BIOS issues. If this problem still occur then it might be a hardware problem. |

Paper currency which is no longer classified as money because it isn't backed by anything and governments print at will more and more of it is becoming more and more worthless, but bitcoin is limited, a bit like gold, there are only so many bitcoin available and as demand grows worldwide for it..btc price also goes up.
even if fiat is not backed by anything it would not goes worthless anytime soon. Bitcoin might be developed and fly its wings on the future but i dont think it would be implemented by each government all out the globe. Adoption would really takes time and many discussions and meetings would be made regarding on this matter. No digital currency could able to surpass fiat currency. |

I believe that if you want to double something it is logical to actually put it into a new technology that already has a existing customer base - like bitcoin. Unlike altcoins, it has a proven track record, and a lot more adopters and believers.
Bitcoin is nearly doubled in price this year, I can't see why it can't do so for next year as well.
Sometimes if we trying to double our money the more risk that ain't happened we taking up the risk more than the safest way we always want to take the profit without risking anything this is the problem. bitcoin is good to grow our bitcoin if he start buying bitcoin maybe his money is doubled right now. Most people would really tend to go the the risky way of doubling money rather than thinking on the safe side. Actually theres no safe side on an investments since theres always a risk involve and thats really a normal thing but they do really differ on which investment would you do tend to put your money on. Me, im just a simple person. I dont bring money if its not needed. I just bring money just enough for me to eat or have some fun. I dont really spend that much because i know its really hard to earn money. Stop using credit cards. You are only making yourself a graveyard because you are going to spend money and make your debts piling up. In the end, you are wearing rags and homeless.
I think if only people can really appreciate every money they earn. I think its their lifesaver.
Credit card are usually for convenience but there are people who does not see it that way, they always advance to buy something because they are tempted with their overwhelming credit limit until they forgot to follow their budget. It requires a lot of discipline and if you are easily tempted then better stay away from credit card, it will only give a negative effect in your life. Having credit cards is not really a bad thing since it do really helps us on our daily living especially on our needs but there are really times that it would really tempt us to buy our wants using that card and its really hard to stop it especially you know that you could able to buy it with a single swipe. If you are a credit card holder then its better to follow your budget and dont waste off money because you will suffer in the end for sure. |

Even im new here, i guess the best i like in bitcoin is the freedom it give us. Since it is an open source, we can share the things that we know, we can get some ideas here in the forum, get more information about what bitcoin is all about and maybe extra money to earn.
Extra money is just a small aim of yours, there more than we can do here, you can even quit your job and just focus in investing here. It will be more valuable for your time and that would be possible if you are risk taker. You have some points that bitcoin could able to give us earnings that would actually made us to quit from our job but it wont work on most people since there are lots of things you must suppose to do in order to achieve that. Quiting job because of bitcoin would do if you are quiet sure already on having a stable income on monthly basis but the risk is always there because bitcoin price is not stable. |

Well, personal opinion here, I think a lot of porn sites already do accept bitcoin, and other altcoins such as titcoin and wankcoin. However, these altcoins are not used as widely as bitcoin, so i believe that bitcoin is the main cryptocurrency that is accepted by the porn industry.
Bitcoin's irreversible nature should give incentive for porn sites to use it. They are probably sick of people using stolen CCs to scam them, lmao.
That's probably true, they are not operating with license and people who love porn would be more comfortable using bitcoin than credit cards. It's not good to be transparent online especially when you are doing a shady online transaction. Watching porn is not actually a shady transaction but we would really think that its really shady because we wont like to expose our details on just purchasing or buy access on their site by paying using our credit cards its not really ideal and really not good for me thats why its really great that bitcoin is being already adopted on this industry on which you dont need to expose your personal information to those porn sites. |

Bitcoin is growing exponentially. At this rate, it seems the usage should double in the next 5 to 10 years.
Well this is a very good news regarding that circle would able to adopt bitcoin on next 5 to 10 years but i think they are late enough to engage. The hilarious thing is that when I win on gambling, I continue to use the winnings to play again and after that, I lose all of them. It is hard to control yourself after winning because I often have the faith that I am able to earn more if I keep playing. And, I can never have a penny Bitcoin from any gambling site
This is also the common problem among gamblers especially for starters.. if they receive a good money in gambling it's hard for them to stop and lose all their money instead of earning from it. Then after you gamble you will realize the amount of money you lose and you will come back again to chase your loses which most of the time you will still lose. yeah, I agree. I should learn some technique which can help me to control my temper while gambling. I am seduced by money and gambling so stop gambling is an impossible job to me. Maybe I shouldn't gamble anymore to avoid losing money  If you get angry gambling then you are betting more than you can afford to lose and you should never be gambling like that. Bitcoin will growing up. It compares with fiat, convert to fiat, but it can't change existence of fiat.

Food and clothing or accessories that can be tried. I'm sure it will be very profitable because everyone needs it. But that be the problem whether many people are familiar with bitcoin, if a lot of people who know bitcoin maybe it could be used, but if a lot of people who are not familiar with bitcoin? The way it is not appropriate to use. So I think it's better to find out if people already know many of the bitcoin or not.
I don't think selling foods would be a good idea if someone is willing to do that on a forum or for international shipping, because it would be quite difficult to deliver foods to outer countries without any problems, maybe that would be good if you are doing it just in your locality and accepting bitcoins for that. I wont really bother to build a business especially on food since its not really a good thing on selling edible things online and you will surely waste of your money if those foods would be spoil before they reach the destination. I'd stop gambling that's for sure. I try to do it for fun, but winning something is the ultimate goal. If I were blessed with a large win I'd try to invest my money and buy things that would fill my time.
The stuff I'd buy depends on the amount of money I'd have to spend but in case of a large win (5 BTC or more) I'd buy a motorcycle.

The key is stability, BTC has reached $1000 before but never stabilised for a significant period of time.
If BTC stabilised over $1000, I would say it's possible, although other factors are involved and have to be considered

I have many bitcoins I'm wanting to cash out, but I'm debating whether I should do it for gold, or for USD. The possibility of the bitcoin price crashing scares me, whereas it seems impossible for gold to lose all value.

Actually no one could able to force you on which investment would you take but in my own view and if i have the wealth i would choose the two things gold and bitcoin even gold does have a good value but bitcoin also had a good potential to make profits on long term. If the government came out today and declared that Bitcoin cannot be accepted as legal tender for purchases, would it survive? In today's world I believe it could, because in today's world we have cash to obfuscate things.
Tomorrow though, when there is no longer cash and the only form of payment is electronic, and where every electronic transaction has a history and is auditable, what will happen?
Take Amazon for example: If Amazon was ordered not to accept Bitcoin, and there existed no cash in the world, how would one be able to use Bitcoin to purchase things on Amazon?
If someone could detail an answer to this scenario I would greatly appreciate it.
If the government would declare such implementation or action then they are already created a new cryptocurrency or electronic money on which it would be used globally or on just single country then we cant really used bitcoin regarding on the goods or transactions on daily basis but still the same story even you cant use bitcoin you could always still exchange it to electronic cash that you mentioned. |

It is clear that the teacher doesn't have a depth understanding of the topic but what really intrigues me is how can a teacher discuss a one sided topic . A teacher must discuss it without bias and prejudice . It is most likely that bitcoin will have a bad impression to the students even though they dont know it well How long ago did you finish school yourself? Teachers are the most stubborn types that you may ever meet out there. They may start claiming whatever bullshit, and they will never admit being wrong on that even if they themselves eventually understand what drivel they are spouting. They seemingly fail to understand how ridiculous their attempts at saving face look. Just in case, I've met a few such types here, and some of them are obviously still teaching or had been teaching in the past I agree to much ego i guess. And since they think that student are far inferior to their knowledge, they can talk any bullshit and pretend that it is the fact which if researched and study brings no relevance to what they are describing. I wonder when will this teacher just tell their student that they don't know rather than creating fact based in their opinion. Teachers can get away with it because now what is taught at schools is how to be a good sheep, as soon as you open your mouth and question something teachers will try to shut you up with their authority and if you don't give up you are labeled as a trouble maker. That really happens on which those teachers will always treat themselves as superiors among others and their opinions are mostly correct and if someone would really want to argue then its better to prepare yourself since you will be doomed for sure. Im not generalizing all teachers but its part of reality on most of them. I dont really agree with those points regarding bitcoin and there all opposite. |

maybe its possible in next year, because i see in the end of this year, the price is not going to up in $900, the trend is not yet said that and we need to wait for a while, but if for some reason many trader especially trader which have much money and bitcoin make a pump, then in last two weeks later, the price will be sky rocket. It would really not reach this year since we all see the price of bitcoin now on mid year of december it doesnt still manage to reach even on $800 price which really indicates that we wont able to reach this price on this years. Possibly on next year but dont have exact month it really depends on the adoption of bitcoin. |
