3541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Slow BTC Network on: August 26, 2017, 07:15:59 AM
Sometimes even me also like that and when i check the blockchain record there so many adresses fall in line waiting for a confirmation somatimes fast and sometimes also too slow its because a lot of people withdrawing there bitcoins and transfer to there own wallet

Because there are a lot more of users that can pay more for their bitcoin to be transacted. There are some individuals that are always pissed with how the confirmations go but I think it is just how they handle the transaction. If they will be just paying a good fee for their transaction, there will be no problem.

3543  Other / Meta / Re: History of Bitcointalk? on: August 22, 2017, 05:15:37 PM
Where did Bitcoin and bitcointalk.org start? How? And who is the main founder or creator of this website?

As far as I know, Satoshi Nakamoto has created this forum. At the same time doing bitcoins and why do you ask them?

That is also what I am thinking. Satoshi Nakamoto made this forum. The history of bitcoin said that Satoshi leave bitcoin and pass the authority of Bitcoin Foundation to Gavin. Gavin left the core, as far as I've read.
3544  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin improve the economy of a country? on: August 22, 2017, 04:19:29 PM
Yes, but it depends on how people are using the bitcoin in their country.

It helps the economy of one's country. It gives an external income the people and make the income of the country increase. But as you've said, I think it still depends because there are a lot of people who just save them and so not really use them waiting for a good price to sell theirs.
3545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is "Satoshi's vision"? which camp is right? on: August 22, 2017, 01:46:42 PM
The Bitcoin Cash (big block) camp is right. The others are deceivers or have been lied to themselves and don't know it.

I think it depends on how we will look at this.

Bitcoin Cash is based on Satoshi Nakamoto's vision, we can say that it is the original vision and also, we can say that it is the right thing if we are looking at the bitcoin in the side of the creator. If we are looking at the side of the commoners, the right thing is the Bitcoin Segwit because it is the Bitcoin we are using until now.
3546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin (BTC) be killed by BCC soon? on: August 22, 2017, 07:28:14 AM
in my opinion,, btc can't be killed,, if more bch miner get their bch, thats mean more bch in the market that can make price of bch decrease.
btc is main crypto.

I don't get what you are saying, though the more the miner get their profit, they will still be doing what makes them earn more, the same as the developer of Bitcoin Cash, as said earlier, they make mining easier so they can earn nore not only in mining but in their franchise, 2 hits in one stone.
3547  Economy / Economics / Re: Philippine Central Bank approves licenses for 2 cryptocurrency exchanges? on: August 22, 2017, 05:19:00 AM
I have read from ETH News that the Central Bank approves licenses for two cryptocurrency exchanges. Do you think it is true? They said the implementing rules are still to come out. Is it really true?

How will it affect the Philippine banking system?

I also read this and I think it is true since it is approved by the local media. But I can't stop wondering which exchanger has the central bank given the license, there is no specific exchanges that has been said in the article. I know two exchangers, Coins and rebit, is that the two exchangers?
3548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin (BTC) be killed by BCC soon? on: August 21, 2017, 10:19:54 PM
I don't think that would happen, let's be honest BCC is an alternative coin no one could replace the original bitcoin.

We all know that it won't happen, but we don't need to ignore the possibilities of that happening.

Bitcoin Cash' is easier to mine, they are attracting more miners to cone to their digital currency. I just hope the miners are the only one they can attract, because we commoners, do not like BCC.
3549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What opinion from people out there or people in your city about bitcoin? on: August 21, 2017, 01:09:37 PM
With that increase, I did see many people getting triggered by these pump. Most of them bought some coins and some of them regretted that they didn't bought earlier whe  they're seeing it at $1K. Right now many are investing and some are still undecided and I don't know why.
3550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is useless or is it? on: August 21, 2017, 08:31:05 AM
With transaction costs rising above $1 the original promise of cheap remittance using Bitcoin is officially dead. Without utility Bitcoin use is limited to speculation only and even further what is there to speculate about?

I would like to debate this and gauge the community's response to Bitcoin experiment.
Yes, i costs alot of money to transact small money. I have changed my default currency to another altcoin. Hope in future dev can find way to fix that problem

I don't know why people are complaining with the fees, I will admit it is really a big fee but I don't think that it needs to be complained. With the high price of bitcoin now, it is really obvious.

If you are having a hard time with this fees, I suggest you avoid making transactions with a small amount especially when you're coins to be transacted are equal to the miner's fee.
3551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Specific about BCH/BCC vs SegWit? on: August 21, 2017, 05:34:24 AM

does it mean that 8MB is better so the price is skyrocketing?

I don't think that is the only thing that supports BCC to make it's price skyrocket. There are other elements like maybe the way it is mined.

Some say that this new altcoin is so profitable when being mined so I think miners will be mining this digital currency.
I think other guys also notice, at least not so many peoples sell it and it is even reaching its current higher (highest) price.
I am just thinking that people may not be ready for BTC Unlimited but they are ready for faster and bigger block,
I am just wondering we saw the price and we saw the trend,... is it true?
so is it also a way to his twin brother (BTC) direction or even higher?

I am so curios so I am launching this thread,... It would be nice to have other pairing in crypto land. It should also be better for us.

Well, many people just look at Bitcoin Cash as a stepping stone. Because there are a lot of people who just claim there Bitcoin Cash to convert it to Bitcoin, it is like a promo or a free coin out of the panic and the fork.

I think this is the truth, the whales are serious about this digital currency. Also, we can't say that it is a twin brother of bitcoin, we all know that it is an altcoin and not the real bitcoin's brother.
3552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Specific about BCH/BCC vs SegWit? on: August 21, 2017, 01:16:39 AM
I checked that many thread discuss about it but not specific to current price jump.

I am wondering:
BCC/BCH has block of about 8MB and the proposed segwit will have about 2 MB,
8MB seems adequate (in almost all efficiency and faster confirmation - it is proven since first block with no problem).
does it mean that 8MB is better so the price is skyrocketing?

I mean: you need more block size BCC gives it to you.
I like to have another split and every coins are just going to the moon (especially BCC/BCH may visit Mars at that time).

I don't think that is the only thing that supports BCC to make it's price skyrocket. There are other elements like maybe the way it is mined.

Some say that this new altcoin is so profitable when being mined so I think miners will be mining this digital currency.
3553  Economy / Speculation / Re: from $4350 now down to $3860 per BTC.. what is your prediction ? on: August 19, 2017, 03:03:14 PM
lol! why the panic? A correction was always due. It could dip lower than $3500,  however $5000+ is just a matteof time now, Bitcoin fever has gripped the world.

That is right, why do we need to panic?

As you have said, this maybe is due to correction which always happen or it's just that a big holder of bitcoin sell off their bitcoins because they've reached their dream price. I think even if this two is true, I will not sell of drop off my bitcoins because there is a huge possibility that we will be having a price at top of $5000. I will be regretting this if I drop of my bitcoins and the price pumps to $5000. Just HODL.
3554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Guide to be a better bettor on: August 19, 2017, 10:16:11 AM
these are good tips but once the gambler gets addicted he will ignore all these tips and will go with his addiction. He will just ignore everything you said.

I know right, gamblers once experienced or managed to won some money or profit or bitcoins will become unstoppable.

That is the only thing that will make them break this tips. As we all know experience is always better than this suggested and written tips, also experience is the reason why this tips will be of no value.
3555  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think billionaires invest in BTC? on: August 19, 2017, 03:45:57 AM
If they know that bitcoin is a good investment. Maybe millionaires will invest a lot of bitcoins ... so bitcoin is only controlled by them. Bitcoin prices will go up and make people can not buy bitcoin because it is expensive. For the poor may only be able to hear bitcoin news but can not buy it. Because all the stock has been bought by the billionaires.

I think even if millionaires knew about bitcoin, I don't think they will be able to invest a lot of it, also they are millionaires, they will knew bitcoins the time it was first distributed or maybe they had bought a lot that time.

Also, I don't think they will be able to control bitcoin, we all know that bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency. Maybe they can manipulate the price of bitcoin but they can't control the bitcoin.
3556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Random thoughts on the recent and upcoming hardforks. on: August 18, 2017, 11:18:33 PM
Personally, I welcome every damn fork the developers want to create. Why? Because that'll be one more coin I will own. Simple as that. Eventually, the value of the collective will be more than the value of one. So...bring them on!

Then that means a lot of hard forks, that also means there will be a lot of times where the bitcoin cannot be transacted because we will be always waiting for the time to finish the fork.

Just imagine the fork that just happened, before it takes place the bitcoin price dumps, also the bitcoin cannot be transacted, right? Now think of it if that happens every month, there will be no users that can take that all.

Personally, I welcome every damn fork the developers want to create. Why? Because that'll be one more coin I will own. Simple as that. Eventually, the value of the collective will be more than the value of one. So...bring them on!

If things get to that extent,, I guarantee you that many normal people will flee Cryptocurrency.

Not all the crypto currency, but this will be happening exactly.
3557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be useful for governments and banks? on: August 18, 2017, 03:23:33 PM
Very often I see people asking here if governments and banks are going to destroy crypto, because it aims to replace them.

But what if governments and banks can benefit from Bitcoin too? Here's a few cases that I can think about.

Just like US military invented Tor for their own use, cryptocurrencies can be used by agencies like CIA for their own purposes. They can secretly fund opposition in other countries, as well as fund private companies, researchers and political figures.

Bitcoin can be used as universal global money, it's much cheaper to store and transact than gold. Many countries are unhappy with financial hegemony of USD, and Bitcoin can easily solve this problem (although centralization if mining around China can be slightly problematic).

Banks can offer their customers better privacy via cryptocurrencies.

Thoughts?

First I don't think they can really make a fund secretly because there are a lot of digital currencies that is not really offering anonymity. A lot of digital currencies can be tracked so I think they can still be found out. But the thing about this is they wouldn't know whose the user of that wallet so I think they can really use this in their private transactions.
3558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Should People Invest On Bitcoin??? on: August 18, 2017, 12:16:29 PM
The question is simple; Why should people invest on bitcoin?

State your reasons, and advantages of investing on bitcoins today.

I know there are a lot of newcomers that coming in to the bitcoin community everyday.

I want us discuss it here, so that we may help them understand what is bitcoin and how important its to invest on bitcoin.

Discuss your ideas, and thoughts below.

This topic has been started in another thread, though, people like to invest on bitcoin because bitcoin is really volatile. It changes it's price every single minute which can give you a quick results of your investment. Also, they are hearing a lot of people being a millionaire because of bitcoin the reason they like to invest more.

Well, it is quite close to this topic.

As you've said, people are hearing a lot of stories about people getting rich, maybe they've also heard about the young kid being a millionaire at his young age which may give a question to them like, "they are now millionaires at their age, I am older but I am still not". So they will be also trying this digital currency. The reason there is a lot of new investors also because of the new development of bitcoin.
3559  Economy / Economics / Re: how can bitcoin help the community? on: August 17, 2017, 08:03:15 PM
Bitcoin is promising currency, but somehow because of it's volatile value. How can bitcoin help the community? especially the 3rd world country.

Bitcoin can help the people in those countries especially the ones that do not have a stable job by giving them the chance and opportunity to earn for a living online. It can serve as an aid for unemployment and an alternative way of having a regular income just by staying at home.

Indeed that it could help those people, especially in the countries, included or part of the 3rd world but it limits only to those "THAT HAS an ACCESS on THE INTERNET". Bitcoin, those people at least an opportunity to earn somehow. But to pertains as a regular income? I guess not, It will depend on how does that person penetrates the world of crypto. I think the way Bitcoin can help the community is that it could let that person learn more about the economics, in which it could open up a lot opportunity they could use in the future.

Bitcoin can help society in many ways as it's the best reachable currency to the lowclass also it would help the middle class family members to get up to the world

I think with a lot of ways to earn bitcoin, it is the most easiest to acquire but opposite of it, it is the most expensive to buy.

I think helping the community means that the residents under it is cooperating, that means it starts with the people and not the community it self. Forums and sites gives people a lot of ways or options to earn bitcoin, saying that, they can use it as a stepping stone to save bitcoin making their lives good. I think that way, it also helps the community.
3560  Economy / Economics / Re: Which country would be the first to eliminate fiat and convert to crypto fully? on: August 17, 2017, 06:47:32 PM
North Korea because their fiat is already worthless and cryptocurrencies are only used by criminals like Kim Hong Un. Nah but seriously, probably a smaller country. Wasn't there a tiny island that's currency is bitcoins but it means nothing because the island's only inhabited by one family?
May be you are right. North Korea will step ahead to replace their fiat with crypto currencies forever. Besides I think Japan will also increase the usage of the digital currency and may someday replace fiat with digital currencies altogether. Let’s see what is waiting for us.

I think there are some countries which are planning to make a digital currency and make their citizens use it. I can't remember fully the country but I know I've read it here.

Also North Korea, I think will not be the first one, I think there will be others first like maybe Japan, which us kind of a high tech country that will make their first step to this digital currency, but first I think we really need to make bitcoin a digital currency that can be used in instant and free transactions.
