3541  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Prediction for March!! on: February 19, 2022, 01:30:32 PM
Actually it's not rejected, but rather a gradual period so that the $45K and $50K figures will occur in the next month on Bitcoin, now everyone knows and can see that Bitcoin is only able to be under $45K in one unit so it needs investors who really really dare to buy at $45K at the end of this month.

You sure this isn't a rejection? Because the last two days sure looked like it a lot. And whatever makes you think 45 and 50k occurs next month? That's not even a prediction to make when we already touched 45k several times in Feburary.

Bulls don't see 45k as problematic anyway, they're happy to buy at 48k even for 2022 medium term selling.

I'm surprised to get the exact score on Juventus, and look at MoSala completely changing the table with that exact win as well, well done! Poor Rayo Smiley

Villareal was supposed to be La Liga representative in Conference league but because of United, they won the rights to play-off for UCL and well, imagine the gap between one win and one loss... Spurs in Conference and Villareal in UCL Last 16 vs Juventus!

Ohh so that's what happened and yes, I think people always forget that if you can't finish in Top 4, there is always a chance to go all the way in Europa, and qualify from there. It's actually a very valid option if you sense you can reserve all your strength for the competition which doesn't come so often anyway.
3543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will happen to the price when all the bitcoins are mined? on: February 19, 2022, 09:13:48 AM
if there were no more rewards, and completely reliant of fee's

just to maintain the cost of the same $230k-$540k difficulty to mine(cost per block to re-org transaction list)
each blocks fee total would need to cover this expense of security

if transactions were physically real data bytes of say 250bytes average

then we can assume a few things about the amount of megabytes needed to secure the network based on fee's $ cost
cost of fee:      $16             $8                  $4                   $2
blocksize:   3.6-8.5mb   7.2-16.9mb   14.4-33.8mb    28.8-67.6mb

so if you want to hope for a $2 max fee per transactions blocks need to be upto 68mb a block.

Totally makes sense to me. No more new blocks means the incentive has to come from somewhere, if this is fees, then it cannot possibly be rational to charge the cost of mining to consumers so fees will never be the solution.

The only solution is to make BTC price extremely high, while encouraging more txs (as more fees like you say) but is there a way to do so without block increase? Different discoverable new technology?
3544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: February 18, 2022, 03:14:15 PM
Great sharing of wins from freebets everyone. I haven't won anything from freebet recently and the one I won last month was so small only 2.25x win lol so not worth sharing. I have to learn to stop putting Barca on my freebets or at least put it on Betbuilder maybe so I don't keep losing grr

I have one last multibet for the weekend with no games played yet so let's see. I need to win badly soon. I almost busted but Barca Blackjack saved my bankroll this week but I better rely on a few multibet wins.
3545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 18, 2022, 01:10:47 PM
While we are on Barca topic, they are playing Napoli in Europa league in a couple of hours. This one could have been in CL easy. Should be a cracking match and my tip of the day for both to score. I am expecting result like 2:2 or maybe 3:2 for Barca.

I played so many bets on this and lost them all sigh. Even when I did BTTS I made it also BTTS and win.

Barca:
Over 1.5: lost.
Score both halves: lost
Win and BTTS: lost

Not to mention they ruined my weekend multibet. AND my La Liga multi but I can't blame Barca alone as Sociedad also couldn't win (but that was supposed to be easy for Leipzig).

It was supposed to be a Champions League game for sure, and it's still crazy that Sporting was in last 16 and we weren't. But at least Betis and Sevilla won their games. I noticed no Spanish team in Conference league, didn't keep track so didn't even realize until now. What happened there?

You should not attempt to compete on wagering contest if you are casual player and not a hard core type of gambler with tons of bankroll because you will just burn your money for nothing in case you chase a spot because of the players in top 10 has a lot of bankroll and playing just to secure there spot. Before I can win to 6 to 10 spot on daily wagering contest but right now after they increase there marketing here, I can't even close my wagering volume to lowest on the leaderboard.

Playing on free roll tournament table is achievable for shrimp gambler like me.

Not necessarily. And who says I'm not a hardcore gambler? What are we doing on gambling sites and wearing casino ads on our signatures if we're not hardcore, right? I mean, even with nothing if you do this campaign for 4 weeks as a Hero like me, you will have a few hundred dollars to wager in a month. Gamble wisely of course but I can rack up a few thousand dollars wager just like that.

Anyway, I've been in top 10 a few times now, tried again today but failed but that's okay at least I added a few more mbtc to my wagers hehe
3549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why pancake performance is so terrible? on: February 18, 2022, 09:03:53 AM
I know it is really weird to see people with those kind of expectations but they are everywhere, burning mechanisms have been around for long but for someone that understands the law of supply and demand it is easy to see why something like this will fail, after all even if the supply of something is low it does not matter if there is no demand, and as long as a coin is a shitcoin eventually the demand will drop like a rock, but unfortunately newbie investors are unable to see this.
They are really unaware of this since I've seen it almost everywhere and it does exist in bounties. It's not just the pancake since there are various exchange like them who does exist and the burning method is always been applied to most coins to increase the price although the demand may not fund it but that was always the case that's why there's always a burning mechanisms. People are always expecting a money machine just because they invested in to something that doesn't mean it won't go down.

The problem is people still think of it like a pure demand and supply thing, forgetting that it doesn't matter what the supply is if it was virtually unlimited in the first place.

Like BNB itself, and now CAKE, it wasn't like it had to be mined by anyone, and it's just being produced in mass quantities, like loyalty points, which is what they actually are.

There's never a demand for loyalty points!

3551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why NFT's are so much popular? Biggest NFT car Showroom on: February 17, 2022, 05:09:08 PM
When people lose money, when normal people fear and get disappointed, remember that you said everything will make sense.
That is just the way things are in this market, when icos were first introduced some good projects were developed, but then scammers and opportunistic people saw in this a way to make some quick cash until they eventually killed the ico market, and since then we have seen the same process take place over and over again in this market, I think that NFT could have a room in this market however when I see the low effort put into them then I cannot help but think that NFT will suffer the same fate of icos.

I cannot honestly remember any good projects developed from ICO days other than Ethereum. And to those who say projects like EOS? Those were terrible projects and still are terrible ones. Totally not worth they hype and the hundreds of millions raised in ICOs to develop,

ICO market was destined to fail because it was simply not rational to raise millions to develop products that actually could be built with existing resources.

NFTs absolutely the same if not worse because rich celebrities endorse.

3554  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there a way to actually get to know the real price of Bitcoin? on: February 17, 2022, 02:19:08 PM
It doesn't expensive as 51% attack but definitely need few millions of dollars to shatter the trading price because atleast the trade should be executed for 30 to 50K BTC. Cheesy

When the price increase it becomes impossible that is why people need new strategies to become billionaires.

Haha well of course it is not as expensive, but at one point, 10 million or 100 million makes no difference when the attacker has to consider profit above all (why else to manipulate right?) and it is hard to imagine a scenario where a person has enough to SPEND 10 million and make profit too. But of course I get your point Wink
3555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why pancake performance is so terrible? on: February 17, 2022, 08:20:17 AM
Crazy to see people expect to buy a shitcoin and then hope it all goes up and makes them happy. If only life was this easy.
specially when that specific shitcoin had already made its way up and when dumped still those greed people like OP still expecting a come back in which very ODD to happen.

Quote
It went up to $40 right? And this was all during the time when IDO and Defi staking crap were big, plenty of projects folded and rugpulled and still people bought it.
same thought lol as i find it that way as well.

Quote
Then you have the famous burn mechanism to say it would make it more scarce. Hasn't worked has it?
The famous Burning that fooled many investors in the past lol.

Quote
What real utility does cake have?
NONE

Yes all points agreed lol

Anyway a word in now with the timing a week done, I don't give advice to people but if you're an "investor" in all these type of "defi coins", now is a really good time to sit and look and ask yourself about if you want to back the future of defi platforms that have:
-99% scam and rugpulls
-no single innovation to blockchain
-no single real utility. Comeon, defi is not utility.

3556  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there a way to actually get to know the real price of Bitcoin? on: February 16, 2022, 12:28:42 PM
Its is not actually an easy task to manipulate the price, it comes with huge price tag as well for example currently bitcoin is trading at 42K so if a whale wants to increase it upto 45K then he needs to create multiple sell orders gradually until that price reaches so that people will be manipulated meanwhile any user can take that into an advantage as well.

Not on a big enough exchange. Anyone even trying to do so now with the impossible size of the orders will be at best enjoying a few minutes of desired price. The cost of doing that to me is the same consideration as the cost of 51% attack... no one has the financial resources to pull it off. AND even if they did, the rest of the market/players will pull back so quickly and regroup.

If the exchange is small enough to try price manipulation, then it's probably not worth it.
3557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why NFT's are so much popular? Biggest NFT car Showroom on: February 16, 2022, 11:04:29 AM
This is stupid in so many levels i don't know where to start from. And i am actually defending NFT all the time. There are like tons of projects like this and rhey are the main reason why it all looks just a nonsensical cash grab scam to outsiders.

It's not stupid my friend
Everything will make sense, they succeed because they are consistent with something they pride themselves on, such as the NFT Selfi Image as well as this car showroom.

But it is stupid. A hundred voices on Twitter changing their profile to a random jpeg or gif does not make the thing less stupid.

I actually also defend some NFT projects and I totally get where artists and collectors come from, but the NFT movement in crypto is a big cashgrab and that is so against all the things they talk about like freedom and artist rights and so on.

When people lose money, when normal people fear and get disappointed, remember that you said everything will make sense.
3558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 16, 2022, 09:18:38 AM
Can we hear a shout out for La Liga? I don't know what possessed me to watch this match, other than that there was nothing else on telly, but this was gripping from start to finish, the away team had to fight every inch to try and snatch points from being down 0-2. Bilbao Mallorca has one hell of a Korean in their attack, but I think they actually deserved this last-gasp win. Not pretty, but very positive play.
I could not believe when I saw odds over 2 for both to score in this game, seemed too good to be true so I got scared and wagered half the stake I initially planned to wager. There is goals in La Liga this season, I am thinking At. Madrid is the culprit that brought up averages from previous seasons. There is so much more goals in their games this season, almost unbelievable transformation. I am thinking Simeone is not happy, but we are Smiley

Trofo how can you lower your stake when your favorite market becomes high value Wink

Anyway yes, I also agree that Atletico has somehow made things very different this season, but what makes me really wonder is that, is this actually a secret play from Simeone as in, is this a very conscious transformation? I read so many interviews about him and Suarez especially after the end of last season. About their style, their mentality, etc.

We also always tell him he has to change for the future. Maybe this time he really is but pretending not to like it? Mind games.

Most interesting to see is how they take on United next week!
3559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: February 16, 2022, 07:07:04 AM
Halab got the spot on result, but most of us have to thank Mbappe for never giving up, I have to say this was a big waste for Real Madrid to play Benzema and risk him getting even more injured when they couldn't give him the service he deserves.

Not sure to be happy Real lost and looks like they can't progress or to be sad that Messi had a poor game (by his standards).

City thrashing Sporting, no big surprise we all scored 1 point. Anybody who even got a Close score would have been amazing.
3560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 15, 2022, 12:04:29 PM
friendly reminder that BTTS in a Barcelona game this season is pretty much free money, just saying  Tongue

I know it's nice to see players with emotions, but this red card problem has been something since last year in fact when Messi was still around. I thought it was an anomaly but we seem to be a team that's become very easy to get cards now. We're like bottom half of discipline table now
mentality. Some players lose their heads when they're facing difficult situations during a match, sometimes it's a red card, sometimes their peformance takes a nose dive right in the middle of the game and they forget how to defend properly (see past Champions league knockout stage results). It's the manager's job to fix this asap and believe Xavi is more than capable of doing this

Anyhow, no Araujo and no Pique against Valencia next weekend, " FC Barcelona to keep a clean sheet - Yes - No " 😂

Sigh yes, I hope Xavi finds a way, and I know it's soooo many things to look at and to fix. But the sending offs have to find a way to stop, just look as you say, no important players, and others could be uncertain, who knows now maybe the bet is on Barca to keep clean sheet to get great odds lol

*seriously maybe I should go to betbuilder to check out odds Wink
