Donations ≠ payment

If you sent money to him, you did it out the kindness of your own heart. It's cringeworthy if you expect him to make software for you just so you can get rich, and expect him to work on it 24/7.

That's not quite what is going on here. By donating you are getting early access to the GPU miner, as stated in the OP. Therefore, I would call it a payment. It would be a donation if he open sourced it to everyone at once.

Edit (didn't finish my thought): It would be a donation if he open sourced it to everyone at once and you were sending him BTC for encouragement.

Getting access to the beta is like a gift for your donation as well as having a limited number of people work out any bugs that are present in the software before releasing it into the public.

He stated that donators will get to use the GPU miner before the general public, so unless he decides to release it to everyone at once, then he isn't scamming anyone.

Give him a few more days. I'm sure he'll finish it soon.

Any recommended settings for using the cgminer for 32bit mining?

I wonder if the beta version of the gpu miner has been already distributed to a few donators..there is a recent increase in difficulty "9.32315743" as of last checked. Or it might be the result of the recent HP9 roll-out. Or it might be the combination of the two.

having problems getting the same amount of shares..(yes I know it was stated in the update) but its way below what I have achieved using the v4..using the same settings that I have used...way above 50% reduction on submission of shares... I am using an i7 4 core cpu.

usahero gets banned, site gets DDosD, coincidence?

Someone or some guys took advantage of the situation and decided to DDOS the site , from my perspective ofcourse.
I am just wondering how will the price of XPM will be trading after this and before the august 10?

Any thoughts or guess?

You might try putting -s 3000000   and leaving all the rest by default , it might give some increase on the share counts.. im using the v5 ... it is really way behind what v4 has offered.

I hope they have a better update than this on their next release.. and pls dont forget the 32 bit binaries Wink

Thanks

The trollbox is better.

It's probably the most entertaining trollbox I've seen so far.

The best trolls from all over the exchanges come and gather here and make big deals, knowing that major alt coins that are being traded here provides the major rhythm to all other exchanges.. i.e. primecoin.

If you don't like daily DDOS...
If you not like too much BAN hammering on even nonsense chats.. and get banned for years to come by trying your artistic style.
If you do not like alien hieroglyphics on your coin charts.

And you want to make big bucks?

Now lets go back to the main topic...

Any updates on the results of the testing?

What is the possible ETA for the beta testing distribution?

Thank you very much.

pls do make one thanks.. i cant receive shares on the original client running on win 32 bit..or my cpu is too slow.. thanks in advance.

Done. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1189851/jhPrimeminer-GMP-32bit.zip
But, again, on my quad core i7 I have about 30k PPS with the 64bit version and only 3.5K PPS with the 32bit version. This means it's about 8x slower.
If anybody else has suggestions are welcome to comment. I guess the problem is with the 32bit version of the mpir library.

Thanks Mumus.. it runs a little bit faster than the original client for 32 bit..but the speed of getting shares need more monitoring. Wink
