3541  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ on: January 19, 2021, 07:54:36 PM
After reading this topic, I noticed that one of FAQs should be edited.

Q: Why do I get the "The last posting from your IP was less than 360 seconds ago." error when I haven't posted today?
A: Logging in, sending PMs and reporting posts to a moderator will also be counted as posting and extend this limit back to 360 seconds. ...................

In addition to Logging in, sending PMs and reporting posts, searching is also counted as posting.

Reference:

- Searching is now subject to the same spam protection limits as posting. So newbies have to wait 6 minutes between searches and users with more posts have to wait progressively less time.
3542  Other / Meta / Re: Searching the forum prevents posting topics for 360 seconds on: January 19, 2021, 07:35:04 PM
Users with less than 15 activity can't make more than 1 post per 360 seconds.

When it comes to the waiting time limit, every search you make is considered as posting.

The OKEX address is 3L7fzCLNT77r4piGjDRASGpfRBT2fGyKac
I think you should enter the address in CashAddr format.
You can use blockchair to find the CashAddr format of your address.

There are 2256 valid private keys and 2160 valid addresses.

1 address can therefore have several private keys ?
Yes, every bitcoin address can be generated by 296 private keys, on average.

Replace by fee: True
As your transaction has been marked as RBF, you can increase the fee.
Right click on your transaction in "history" tab and select "Increase fee". Currently there are many transactions paying low fees and stuck in the mempool. For having a fast confirmation, you need to increase the fee to more than 10 sat/vbyte.
12 sat/vbyte can put your transaction at 1 MB from from the tip.
3548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Coinpayments scam again. on: January 15, 2021, 11:00:53 PM
You should have moved the BCH to another wallet before the fork.
Below is the tweet they made before the Bitcoin Cash fork.

Quote from: CoinPayments
Reminding the community of the upcoming #BitcoinCash fork.
The CoinPayments platform will NOT support this fork - if you have BCH stored in our wallet, please move it to a platform who supports this fork in order to receive your Bitcoin SV.
3549  Other / Meta / Re: Account nomteck1 banned on: January 15, 2021, 03:01:42 PM
I think you can check your account logs and see the people (their IP address and location) who have accessed your account during the time you are doubting your account got hacked and led to ban.
You can see your IP logs only for the past 30 days.
The post OP is referring to had been made 3 months ago.

I'm not sure but there's a high probability that OP is right.

Last Post from that User was in October 01, 2020 , So i guess the Account got hacked
3550  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Importing LEGACY wallet to Electrum on: January 15, 2021, 08:52:54 AM
You can't import your seed into electrum. The seed you have is not compatible with it.
If you have the private keys, you can create a new wallet in electrum. Select "Import bitcoin addresses or private keys" and enter your private keys.

Also, you may be able to recover your wallet using the link below.

3551  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: RBF broken? on: January 13, 2021, 08:53:42 PM
How much did you increase the fee?
The amount you add to the fee must be bigger than the relay fee.

Assuming the relay fee of the node is 1 satoshi/vbyte, for replacing the transaction with a new one, you have to increase the fee by at least 1 sat/vbyte.

Quote from: BIP 0125
The replacement transaction must also pay for its own bandwidth at or above the rate set by the node's minimum relay fee setting.
3552  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory 0.96.5beta : Connection to Bitcoin Core client lost! on: January 13, 2021, 08:06:13 PM
Run bitcoin core manually and if it does't help you, follow the suggestion given by goatpig in the post below.

1) Delete the content of this folder:

Code:
C:\Users\aorob\AppData\Roaming\Armory\databases

2) Make sure no instance of ArmoryDB is running.

3) Start Armory.

.......is there any way to somehow transfer my unencrypted and imported Armory Wallet into bitcoin core instead? when so how? I dont mind when its technical using Powershell/CLI
You can export your private key and import it into bitcoin core.
For exporting your private key, go to wallet properties and backup your wallet. In the "backup wallet" window, select "See other backup options" and then check "Export Key Lists".
You will see your private key in front of PrivBase58.

For importing your private key into Bitcoin Core, go to console and enter the following command.

Code:
importprivkey <your private key>

As an alternative to Bitcoin core, you can also use electrum.
In electrum, you can enter your private key and access your fund without any need to download the whole blockchain.
3553  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: January 13, 2021, 07:20:14 PM
I think that take all zeros is more difficult than take all zeros with a 1 in front ... it could be awarded, and the prize would be greater than the number, 10000 .. but maybe to Hit all zeros in numerical terms, It is the smallest of all, so it is not awarded ... and the biggest of all is very interesting ... because I believe that the probability of hit all zeros is less than taking the 10000
Every time you roll, some mathematical calculations are performed and a decimal number between 0 and 10,000 is obtained. Since the game is provably fair, there is no difference between probability of different decimal numbers.
After the decimal number is calculated, it is rounded of to the closest whole number.

For hitting 0, that decimal number needs to be between 0 and 0.50 and for hitting 10,000, that decimal number needs to be between 9999.50 and 10,000.
So, when it comes to probability, there is no difference between hitting 0 and 10,000.

You can read more information about the process of calculating the final number if you click on "This game is provably fair" in the website.

edit: Ehm... were you paying in BTC? I thought you were because of the first line "we will be offering 0.5 BTC", but I just noticed you also wrote this on the now-deleted thread: "You will need an ETH wallet to get the coins."
The OP was actuallty offering an altcoin.

Quote from: Loyce.club
This first week's "Find the Number", the prize is 166,666.666666666666666667 Phreess (0.5 BTC)

To OP:
Don't post a same thing or you will be banned permanently this time.

You give away 0.5 BTC weekly and you are also trying to create a gambling website with negative house edge.

Negative House Edge Crypto Casino

You are creating tokens out of the thin air.
If I participate in your game and win, will you buy those tokens from me for 0.4 BTC? I am offering a 20% discount.
3556  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - can't get online - Bitcoin Core Stuck on: January 12, 2021, 12:44:44 AM
The network is now so congested and that's why electrum is recommending high fees.
You can set the fee to lower amounts. Select "static" and move the slider to the left.
Just note that paying a low fee can cause your transaction to take a long time to be confirmed.

The high fee can be due to receiving multiple payments as well. If you have received the fund in multiple transactions, paying a high fee is inevitable.
3557  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - can't get online - Bitcoin Core Stuck on: January 11, 2021, 11:49:54 PM
I read somewhere on this forum that I can import into Electrum wallet with the Armory Seed and access the bitcoin that didn't show up in my Armory wallet.
Armory doesn't support seed phrase. You are probably referring to your root key which is not compatible with other wallets.

The best thing you can do is export your private key and import it into electrum.

To do so:

1. Click on "Wallet properties" in your Armory wallet.

2. Click on "Backup this wallet"

3. Select "See other backup options".

4. Check "Export Key Lists" and click on "Export Key lists" at bottom of the window.

The key you see under your bitcoin address and in front of PrivBase58 is your private key.

In electrum, create a new wallet, select "Import Bitcoin addresses or private keys" and enter your private key and click on "Next".

Warning:
Download electrum only from its official website and don't forget to verify your download.
3558  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 11, 2021, 04:49:17 PM
A comparison between January 2017 and January 2021

coingecko.com

January 4, 2017: 1,130 dollar
January 11, 2017: 780 dollar

31% drop in 7 days.
After that, the price increased 24x in less than a year.

A same thing is happening today (January 11, 2021)
+200K dollar in December 2021?
