Hello,

What is the best debit card for use in EUROPE with € and with no monthly/dormancy fee? I will use the card only a few days per month so I don't want any monthly fees when I don't use the card.
Coinsbank card has no fees for the first year. Their rates are better than bitpay and the exchange only ha 0.5% fees.  It's a very competitive card, and IMO among the best physical cards for use with EUR. The only downside is that ATM fees are 4.5€..
3565  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: December 20, 2016, 06:56:30 PM
I have a question: if the card is rejected by ATM or by a merchant, what will happen to the funds?
Nothing. The funds stay in the card to be used however the owner dictates. Most of the time I've had transactions rejected was because bitcoin cards do not support 3d secure, but for online transactions that's easily bypassed by getting the card in paypal.

CoinsBank are giving free debit cards because of Christmas (I guess you still have to pay for the delivery though) , the promotion is valid until 31.12.2016 as mentioned on their thread.

That's a good offer. Named cards can also come with a gift box that includes a Coinsbank branded pen and a purse that contains some cards with the user's full name and the bitcoin address of the user's Coinsbank account. But that's if you share getting the card on social media.
3567  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 2016 Bitcoin Debit Card Reviews on: December 19, 2016, 10:15:09 AM
Withdrawals from ATMs indeed aren't cheap with bitcoin cards and aren't ideal for frequent use this way. It's better to just pick a card with flat ATM fees and use them for large withdrawals. In that case though, exchange gates are also important.
3568  Economy / Exchanges / Re: List of bitcoin debit cards on: December 19, 2016, 01:19:20 AM
Added BitBay. They have an interesting service, too bad their cards are PLN only because live EUR rates in BitBay's exchange somehow seem to always be on top of the market.

Ξέρει κανένας από ποια τράπεζα αποστέλλονται τα EUR εμβάσματα για τις αναλήψεις;

does anybody here use epayments debit card from https://dsx.uk/ ?? are they legit??
The website seems to have a nice design bu other than that I've never heard of them. Detailed about the card also don't seem to be available, so I can't comment on anything else other than the looks of the website.
3572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mycelium's "crowdsale": basically a donation, not an investment by any means on: December 16, 2016, 02:19:04 PM
I got the news for Mycelium's new crowdsale. Funny how they're asking for more money while they haven't delivered on any of their buzzword powered claims.

Sadly, I'm too busy to look into it at this period of time tbh... If anyone makes a post with a critical analysis of the new crowdsale/ICO I'll make sure to link to it form the OP.

Uquid is back and seems to be working as normal.

In the meantime, has anyone had any luck with Coinsbank cards sent from recent black Friday/holiday offers? The tracking number I got for the one I ordered doesn't seem to be working.
3574  Economy / Exchanges / Re: List of bitcoin debit cards on: December 13, 2016, 11:03:17 PM
Uquid seems to be going through some downtime at the moment. They have posted in their bitcointalk thread saying things should be back to normal in a few hours. I really do hope that everything will turn out to be fine.
3575  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 【Bitcoin Debit Card UQUID】 No ID Required |Multi Cards Buy Supported | 0% Fees on: December 13, 2016, 10:40:32 PM
Hoping for a swift recovery. Uquid have always been prompt with support responses and fulfilling user support requests. I'm confident the issues will be resolved completely.
3576  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: VPN that accepts Bitcoin on: December 13, 2016, 10:13:19 PM
People interested in VPNs should really check http://thatoneprivacysite.net/ VPN list. Most VPNs do accept bitcoin these days, it's actually uncommon to find a good one that doesn't.

I'd recommend using the detailed chart and using filters you're interested in most to find a VPN that suits your needs.

Actually, Uquid has a 0.5% fee when moving money from account balance to cards. You'd be able to see that with a free account.  Bitpay rates have in my experience always been slightly better than thw ones Coinsbank had.

What is the EUR quote you're getting right now? I'm seeing 715.36 on Coinsbank.

Well, remarkably, that's a better rate that BitPay at the moment. I wasn't looking at EUR rates admittedly. You should check if this is a sell/buy rate though.

I think that was the last price? Rates vary because they have their own exchange, so sometimes they will be below Bitpay prices I guess. Also spreads on BTC/EUR are wide around 1% most of the time, so that's another cost.

I'm trying to figure out if they have a loading fee like other card providers or if it's just the 0.5% trading fee you pay to convert on the exchange. Anyone has experience with Coinsbank cards here?

I had a promo card from them. There were no loading fees as the cards use live conversion as far as I'm concerned. But I might be wrong or things could have changed. If anyone else knows please post, otherwise I could use the card I still have to check.

I guess it is about which part of the World the company is located. A company located in usa will have better dollar deals and prices and a company located in a good strong european company will have a better Euro deal. So it is not about which company has a better deal unless one has better in every single currency. At least thats my assumption , can’t speak on behalf of everyone.
Coinsbank has established a strong EUR market over the past few months, I hope that remains to be the case because I'm also located in Europe and getting more money out of our bitcoins is ideal.

I thought that It's worth mentioning that CoinsBank are giving free cards at the moment because of Christmas and new year. Offer is valid is valid for both No-name and Named cards , users won't pay anything until they activate the card (so the issuance of the card (14.95$) is free ). See details : https://coinsbank.com/cards-details

Well that's nice. I remember they had a similar offer back in black Friday where cards costed only 0.99€/$. First year also seems to be free of active/inactive fees which is nice.
