3561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dodge Coins on: March 24, 2017, 04:48:15 PM
You are talking about Doge right?

And you probably mean to ask if the price of 1 Doge will ever rise to something significant?

I don't think so, just check the total number of Doge currently in circulation and the number of Doge that still have to be mined.
Aside from that, look at what the project actually does. Does it offer any sort of functionality that other coins currently do not offer or does it do something better than other coins?
3562  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: can I make 100$ in 2-3 month without a base money? on: March 24, 2017, 04:34:57 PM
I'll go ahead and add my personal story of how I've made a couple of thousand dollars in about a year without any initial investment.
It didn't really have anything to do with Bitcoin or trading, but I'm sure that some of you might find it interesting.

Around 2 years ago I started making a couple of blogs on various subjects on the Blogger platform and monetizing them through Adsense and some affiliate links.

I'd earned almost nothing the first 1 or 2 months (Maybe 20 dollars or so), but I kept writing articles and around a year later, I started making some meaningful amounts.

The writing took the most work, I would write at least 10 articles every week for those various blogs and I would adjust some of the designs with some custom CSS and images I had made with Gimp (free image editor like photoshop).

At some point in time, I had around 5000 visitors per day on all blogs combined and was making a couple of hundred dollars per months through Adsense alone.

Combine that with a couple of sales each month through the affiliate links and it was a pretty good income.

Didn't cost me anything but my time!
3563  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Local Bitcoin Trading on: March 24, 2017, 04:26:59 PM
What sort of trading are you looking to do? Are you planning to meet someone in person to do a trade or do you just want to trade by transferring funds through bank wire or something similar?

Always opt to use escrow for larger amounts and look for traders that have hundreds of positive reviews from customers on the LBC website itself.

If you're not looking to trade by meeting someone in person, there are better options than LBC imo.
Most exchanges offer less fees.
3564  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Unlimited or Bitcoin Core on: March 24, 2017, 02:40:24 PM
Definitely core for me, I just do not trust the people behind BU and it seems better to focus on segwit first.
Also, the idea of splitting really scares me should it happen.
3565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10 MOST WONDERFUL THINGS TO PURCHASE WITH BITCOIN on: March 24, 2017, 02:34:44 PM
The price for a trip into space is a bit cheaper than I imagined it would be.
But that's not available for purchase today, right? I thought you could buy a seat, but that actual flights would take place a few years from now.
3566  Economy / Economics / Re: Will you invest in a MLM scam in early stage? on: March 23, 2017, 05:13:31 PM
It is better to state it as gambling, if you are willing to gamble with your money, then indulge with MLM.
Now about the topic, sometimes it will give good profits and sometime nothing, so I think I won't indulge myself with MLM.
I definitely wouldn't put MLM in the same category as gambling, gambling is legal in some form in most countries whereas MLM's or pyramid schemes are not.
I know not all MLM's are pyramid schemes by definition, but most of them are just that.

It also just seems unethical to lure people into something like that.
3567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as primary currency in Norway on: March 23, 2017, 02:47:39 PM
I really doubt that they will be able to form an actual country, this sounds a bit like the whole Liberland story, which I also don't see succeeding very soon.
Liberstad is currently still Norway, right? The fact that they accept Bitcoin, doesn't really mean anything.

Also, anarchism as the form of 'governance'? I wonder how that would work  Roll Eyes
3568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If today was your last day, would you gamble everything? on: March 23, 2017, 02:43:09 PM
I definitely wouldn't gamble everything, I would spend those last moments with my girlfriend and close relatives.
No point in wasting time gambling, plus that would really be the last thing on my mind.
3569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ELI5 arbitrage betting :) on: March 23, 2017, 02:38:45 PM
This website is pretty handy if you want to check odd comparisons for different sportsbetting sites. You just have to click on a match and calculate the difference, like the people above me have explained.
https://bitedge.com/odds-comparisons/

They list the most popular Bitcoin sportsbooks, Betcoin, Nitrogen, Cloudbet etc.
3570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Personal Blog Dedicated to Teaching People About Bitcoin on: March 23, 2017, 02:30:36 PM
I like the fact that you've used a pretty minimalistic theme, now just add some more content and build all the pages Smiley
Don't forget to make accounts on social media and add those buttons as well.
3571  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Give Ideas of Online Business Startup on: March 17, 2017, 11:35:46 PM
Since you're on a Bitcoin forum, why not start a dropshipping business that accepts Bitcoin as payment?
I don't know where you're from, but you could perhaps find some local businesses to start your dropshipping business with so you could offer some unique goods?

Do you have any capital to start a business? Or do you have any experience with webdesign, so you could build a website cheaply?
Some more info is needed if you want any help with that Smiley
3572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Foundation future of LTC? on: March 17, 2017, 07:07:17 PM
Can't wait till segwit gets activated on the litecoin network.
Once that happens, we'll see some response on the markets and IMO Litecoin is a very decent investment right now.

I'm definitely not going to write that coin off just yet.
3573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM ALERT: = DASH PART 2 = (.><.) on: March 17, 2017, 07:03:24 PM
100$ was target for the pump group. This is all controlled by malaysian cartel. Next coin they will pump is probably Doge or Digibyte!
As many other people have mentioned in this thread, I'd also like to hear more about this.
On what do you base these claims and do you have any proof for it?
3574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex = Scam exchange beware. on: March 17, 2017, 06:49:22 PM
How would you even know for sure that Poloniex itself is using bots to 'pump and dump' coins?
Couldn't anyone use a bot to do this? It doesn't have to be Poloniex itself, right?

Just reads like FUD to me.
3575  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A Bitcoin Who is Who on: March 17, 2017, 06:45:00 PM
Where do you plan on listing the information? There's already some wikipedia pages for these people, not all though. If you make a post, it just might get lost around here :/
That depends. First i want to complete the list so that i have 20 to 30 names on it with descriptions. Then we will see if people like it and use it or not. Maybe we could make a sticky thread or a whole website if it makes sense. We will see i guess.
I'd opt for making a dedicated website for it.
People outside of this forum will also benefit from having a list like this and that makes it more accessible for them.

Plus the chances of being allowed to sticky something like that are pretty slim.
3576  Economy / Economics / Re: How much are you willing to pay in fees for a Bitcoin transaction? on: March 17, 2017, 06:33:44 PM
In general, I'd be willing to pay around 1 USD per transaction, I think that is a pretty fair amount.
I can see that this would limit the use of Bitcoin for micro-transactions, but I'm personally not using Bitcoin for that anyway and I also think that an altcoin could fill in that demand.

In situations like this one, where there's a lot of spam on the network, I usually don't mind paying a bit more (up to 3 - 4 dollars), to speed up the transaction.
3577  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining fees will eventually kill bitcoin on: March 17, 2017, 06:28:13 PM
you need a large fee to get the trasaction and confirmation that fast. I think this has strayed far from the tagline bitcoin with cheap and fast fee like some years before? lol

Yes that line is out. But it is not bitcoin fault but ours.
Miners just need something to make them work harder. Although it is really bad and kind of greedy and also it is like giving special treatment to those who can afford. What is the difference now between bitcoin transactions and paypal or western union.
I kind of stayed here for that reason at start though it changed from time it is still not a good look.
Yes, eventually that tagline of cheap and fast transactions is being fading because neither they are fast now nor they are cheap. The only solution I see to this problem is limiting the number of transactions people make.

For example you make 10 transactions a day where 3-4 of them are such that you can make them in a single shot then actually that would help. It is like people need to understand how to send multiple payments in a single transaction.
Transactions are still fast, but to make them fast you do have a pay pretty high fees.
Limiting the number of transactions that people could make isn't really a solution I think. That's one of the key aspects of Bitcoins.

The fact that there are entities spamming the network shouldn't be used to limit the rights of other people, we just need a seperate solution for that.
3578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: February was Record Month for Bitcoin Gambling on: March 17, 2017, 06:22:48 PM
That's definitely good news, it's really an industry that has given us much innovation in gambling as opposed to traditional casinos.
The whole provably fair system is something that only Bitcoin and altcoin casinos can offer and that might be another factor in drawing in more people.
3579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Planned or impulsive gambling? on: March 17, 2017, 06:17:04 PM
I usually plan it because I have a pretty busy schedule for the rest of the time.
It's usually after I've received payment for my signature campaign that I'll gamble for a bit, in the weekends.

Now that I think of it, I've only gambled with my sig earnings for the past months Tongue
3580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Whether anyone believe???? on: March 17, 2017, 04:57:05 PM
I do play the country lottery and with the same numbers, as you mentioned.
But I do not really believe that it increases my chances to win it big.

It's just purely for entertainment for me and who knows, I might win it big, even if the chances are tiny.
