Well, you know I'm not selling my coins, as if I sold them now I'd just about get out what I put in, not including the amount of time I've invested in this coin.

Will your pool have some detection measure in place to ensure you don't control more than 51% of any block network? This probably isn't such an issue for old altcoins, but new altcoins would be quite susceptible.

Weird. I just added a new address to my wallet, and now my last transaction where I solo mined a block has the name of the address I just created in my wallet. Hope it doesn't mess up my solo mining.
Hmm, maybe you could post a screenshot just to understand better what happened.  You can't see my cursor icon, but I'm hovering over the grain I mined, but it's taken on the address of the address I added to my wallet.  I just did the same. And yes it shows the mined blocks not any more as (n/a), it then shows the second address of the wallet. Maybe we can have a look at the code to fix this one. As long as I know it isn't going to interfere with my wallet, I don't mind. Just a harmless bug. I do like to keep a meticulous transaction history though.  |

Hmm, maybe you could post a screenshot just to understand better what happened. It's totally normal. When you solomine the transactions "come from your own adress" but these addresses are "hidden" until you create a new adress. Dunno how to expain it, but it's totally normal and won't cause trouble. Just stop mining these coins! They are not going anywhere ever! sheeesh...  No way, this is the real deal ....get in now or the rest of your days spent in regret. I suppose you're right, but only in the sense that if everyone convinced themselves this was the real deal, it would go somewhere. |

I believe it's called cold storage, and sure, you can store your cold storage coins wherever you like.
Not sure about multiple wallets, though. You could do it with 2 machines for sure, not sure what the most efficient way to do it with 1 machine would be.

As much as I like this coin, you kind of have to detach your feelings from it. I consider this coin a serious investment. I think the fact that it's called Catcoin is a huge seller for this coin, and could have massive appeal. We need to get this coin talked about in blogs. Perhaps we need a giveaway offering Cat for blog entries. I may have time to host it. |

In all seriousness. Who wants to throw in with me for a Catcoin Billboard to be placed in a high pop. area. That would instantly get things moving, alot of people who have heard of bitcoins (its becoming a household name, my grandma even knows what it is now) have never heard of ANY kind of Altcoin, Let CatCoin be the first!
I've got $200 on it  We could raise enough in no time how much do we need? Well lets first establish where we want this billboard to be placed. Which State/City. It really shouldn't be that much at all. This is a GREAT idea As long someone trustworthy controls the funds, and this can be achieved, it's a great idea. Catcoin on a billboard would be amazing. |

I think the problem that this coin has right now it's it price/difficulty ratio, this issue was created by the pump and dump people (which obviously won over the offer and demand system) and if you go back a few days in exchanges charts, you can see how the price was artificially inflated and difflated.
The diff retarget won't solve this problem and won't change things much, simply because in currect situation diff/price is not affected, the only diff retarget is doing, is giving a reason to miners to mine when the hashrate is so low and diff is low. maybe rising block reward would have a better solution but it has many drawbacks on it own, but now we have to work with what we have
So what this coin needs, is a price rise, but doing that artificially is useless. so what are our solutions :
1- Rise confidence in the coin (for current and future investors to buy more and stop the dumping)
2- Make the coin more desirable, Nullu mentioned shoping that's one way of doing thing, also massive advertising is another one to do thing, social medias, (People that holds the FB and Tweeter account, need to update these account a couple of times a day, heck I went to FB and none is speaking about the new fork or the new catcoin casino or dice..... more posts on reddit and stuff like that, and trade cat for other notirious coins, don't focus on just BTC, LTC, XPM.... should be considered this is an ecosystem and not limited to cat/btc
I mean people buying this coin very cheap there are buy walls of over 22k coins each and yet this investiment is just a wasted investiment for these people if they don't advertise the coin, and this is not only them, medium and small owners should help with this.
3-Developement: not only on the coin side, but anything that can either add value (like : apps, calculator, custom miner, games ....)
Also to Kr105, I think you should be more active, much more than this and communicate some more and update the OP thread with the latest informations, and discuss ideas with people (discussing =/= implementing) once there is something an idea that could help the coin, why not implement it after a community vote or something like that, Look at doge, despite the deflation it having right now (due to the inflantion it got) developement is still going strong, and op thread is updated on regular basis

Max Keiser may have scored a bit of an own goal on this one. By announcing it early and thanks to coingen it's been ninja'd. If the crypto currency community accept this as the Keisercoin and reject his own version of Keisercoin, these will be worth a fortune. You can't control a decentralised currency. It's the crypto community that legitimises a coin and determines its value. This may be interesting. It's like buying a domain name before a company releases a product. Keisercoin exists now. It's up to the community if they'd prefer if it was in our control, or Max Keiser's. How hilarious would it be if this became the legitimate coin? Major egg on face.  The reason you think this coin could be valuable is also the reason why Keiser can announce his official coin and this will be worth 0. I know what you're saying. Max Keiser's word is golden. Anyone who thinks they can predict cryptocurrency though is thinking in different economic terms. I don't even think the developers of Bitcoin know where it's heading. |
