He might want to hurry up and do so before he is no longer able. I keep reading about regulators targeting Binance. I think the people pulling the strings weren’t happy with CZ destroying FTX and making the elites look stupid for backing SBF. No doubt there will be retaliation and Binance looks like a target that could very easily be charged with securities violations.

I am not aware of such things. I don't know where Binance is located and if regulations target them. If CZ and Binance get charged, there will be a massive change in the market. Do you really think CZ fears such things? Binance collected all the information from its users, including KYC. So, they can handover that info to regulations whenever they want. CZ and Binance will do whatever for their benefit. They don't care about their users privacy.

I believe Binance is located in Canada. At least CZ is a Canadian citizen if memory serves me correctly. Binance has traded some pretty shady products on their exchange, launched a stablecoin and a cryptocoin, uses debt to fund activities… It’s basically the same as FTX only they don’t throw around their money as much and had longer in the market to build a better line of defense with cash. Don’t get fooled though. Binance is a house of cards same as FTX, just with more money and an actual businessman running it instead of a liberal conman.

.... this Trump arrest nonsense. .....

Why is it nonsense?

In OGNastys defense...illegally covering up payments you made to influence the outcome of an election that you're running for president in isn't really that big of a deal compared to stealing classified documents and then lying about having them to the FBI, or trying to overthrow the government to remain in power after the people decided not to give you a second term.

As usual though, when it comes to defending Trump you will mostly get whatever short and easy-to-remember phrases they've heard repeating over and over and over that don't really add up to a real defense since it's usually completely obvious that he's guilty of whatever it is he's being accused of.

I find the problem is that many people treat politics the same as their favourite sports team.

ding ding ding

If you think that Trump paying a porn star who signed an NDA is the worst thing a President has done, I’d suggest you open your eyes. Clinton lied under oath about cigar banging an intern. Biden has nearly started world war three to keep the world from finding out his family has made millions of dollars making back room deals with foreign countries… I won’t even touch on the election fraud and only an ignorant liberal would say Trump tried to stay in power when everything he was saying on Jan 6th was for people to remain peaceful and respect law enforcement. At this point if you’re still a supporter of Liberal politics you’re either A) an idiot, B) completely brainwashed, 3) mentally ill, or 4) you hate America.
3563  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can do 30k$ this month? on: April 06, 2023, 04:56:40 PM
We only have few steps away to reach 30k$ so i think it will reach 30k$ this month, it is now stable at the 28k$ price and if the market goes well or continue rising it is not hard to reach 30k$ or even above 30k$ remember that btc price rise up to 60k$ on the last year 2021 so it is possible that we will reach another ATH anytime soon.
The possibility exists to reach another ATH on Bitcoin, but I'm still not sure that it will happen anytime soon. Because a sharp increase also takes time for Bitcoin, especially if it increases slowly as happened in the last month and also this month, it is certain that Bitcoin will need time to process getting another ATH this year so the possibility of that happening in the near future is very slim although it's possible to go past $30K, but for the ATH thing I think that's a very different thing for Bitcoin to achieve.

Obviously it’s possible to go passed $30K. I think it’s more probable than not at this point. I also believe we’ll see another all time high, but would agree it isn’t happening this year. We’re halfway through the cycle so you’re going to want to be buying BTC at these levels to sell 2 years from now when Bitcoin makes a run for a new all time high.
3564  Economy / Speculation / Re: [POLL] MtGox distribution, early payment or full payment? on: April 06, 2023, 04:54:08 PM
Yes getting half back would be good however it matters when. There is a difference of taking 33% back today OR getting 50% back in 10 years. Which would you pick?

Also the longer the trial goes on for the more money will get sucked out from the creditors. Lawyers are expensive and they always work slow in cases like this.

My guess is that it’s probably closer to 16% of your BTC  at the end of the year or 25% of your BTC 2 years from now. Nobody is going to be getting 50% back ever. I’m not sure where this number comes from, but it doesn’t come from anybody with any knowledge of the situation. The lawyers will definitely have eaten a massive amount of the potential distribution. Makes you wonder if mtgox could have become solvent playing games with custom funds longer to try and profit themselves out of insolvency like Gemini is trying to do now.
3565  Economy / Speculation / Re: MicroStrategy Buys Another 1,045 bitcoins for $29.3m on: April 06, 2023, 04:50:12 PM
Microstrategy is no doubt responsible for Bitcoin’s continued strength with all their buying support. However, I’ve been saying for a while now that it makes me uncomfortable with how much BTC they have. It sort of goes against what Bitcoin is about to have so many coins centralized in one entity.  At some point Microstrategy will be doing more harm than good and I think we’re nearing that point.

For Mac users, the Bitcoin whitepaper is present on every machine with macOS 10.14 or later:

Whoever from Apple did this. CZ wants to buy him a drink in person.  Grin

A good doubleheader on TNT tonight. The first game between the Heat and 76ers might not grab my attention but the second game between the Suns and Nuggets should be a great one. The Lakers will be hoping the Nuggets wear out the Suns for their matchup tomorrow. I’m just glad to be able to watch Kevin Durant in my home town team’s jerseys.
3568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Champions prediction. on: April 06, 2023, 04:42:57 PM
Right now I think the Bucks are gonna take the chip (I voted for the Knicks as a true Homer fan).  Celtics and Philly have too many holes to get exposed over a 7 game series.  The west I can't make heads or tails of but my guess would be the Suns vs bucks.  And I just can't see anyone on the Suns being able to shut down gianiss for more than a game or 2.  Suns or Bucks, way to go out on a limb lol.

I voted Bucks for you. I agree. I think Giannis is the most unstoppable player in the league right now and I don’t think teams like Boston or Phoenix can guard him. Maybe the 76ers or the Lakers could keep him from taking over but I’m not sure either of those teams will get the chance. I also like Denver’s chances as I think they’re the best young team in the league.

This is a great story. I’ve been certain that Apple has been accumulating Bitcoin for some time now (at least 5 years) after having discussions with one of their highest level executives. This is the first time I’ve seen any evidence of them beginning to show support for it. I guess that means they’re close to done filling their bags. I expect to see a LOT more support for Bitcoin from Apple in the future.
3570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 06, 2023, 04:31:15 AM
This Lakers versus Clippers game is off to a pretty crazy start. The Lakers are down 15 to 3 and have looked terrible out there. Westbrook hit an open 3… Not off to the best start. Most of the Lakers shots have been blocked and AD is already crying for fouls. This could be a long game. Hopefully this is the worst of it for the Lake Show.
I still believe that the Lakers will win this game, and I see this as an opportunity to place a live bet on them. The LA ML odds are currently profitable, assuming they win. However, it's still early, and many things could happen in the game. One thing is for sure, though - it's going to be a fun game.

Currently they are down in the first half, 71-52. Kahwi and Westbrook are leading the way for the Clippers.

But another 24 minutes for us to see if the Lakers can turn this game around. This is a must win for both, but more on the Lakers side to really carry themselves in the playoff and not wait for the outcome of other games to decide their faith.

Lebron started slow, and it was Austin Reaves again and D'Lo for the Lakers.

The third quarter is very important for the Lakers. They need to trim down the lead to at least a single digit heading into the fourth quarter. Their defense is key in this situation as they allow the Clippers to shoot well from beyond the three-point line in the first half, it cannot happen again. The Lakers need to make a comeback and turn the game into an exciting spectacle to watch
You were correct, the Lakers are having a moment now with a big comeback in the third quarter. The Clippers should only have a single-digit lead if their momentum continues. If that's the case, we will see an exciting fourth quarter, where the Lakers still have a chance of winning the game.

Good luck to the bettors, this is turning out to be an enjoyable game.

The Clippers have now won 11 straight games against the Lakers. I thought tonight was going to stop that streak. The Lakers looked pretty bad all game up until the last 4 minutes. Then it seemed like they tried to win but fell just short. I don’t know if injuries or fatigue from playing the night before was a major factor, but the Lakers season will be over pretty soon if that’s the effort they make going forward.

So who do you guys think deserves the MVP for the year? I've been hearing a lot about Joel Embiid on sports outlets like ESPN and my local Chicago sports radio station.  I know that he's been right in the race with Jokic over the past couple years and there's been a lot made about how Embiid should have maybe won one of those.  I also saw Doc Rivers "aggressively" proclaiming that there's nothing left to discuss, Embiid is the clear cut MVP already.

Congrats to anyone who bet on this..it seems he's got it all but locked up.

I think Luka Doncic has had the most impressive season from an individual player standpoint. However, his team is fighting to make the playoffs now and they’re losing at the wrong time. That’s why everyone thinks it’s between Embiid and Joker. Embiid has missed more games this season than any MVP ever has, so if that is a major consideration then I think Joker will get it.
3573  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you think Bitcoin will hit $1 million for the first time? on: April 05, 2023, 09:48:21 PM
I went with 2033.  I think it could possibly happen in 2029, but I think 2033 is probably a more realistic guess.  The last cycle was so manipulated by FTX, it's hard to see where we're headed as far as tops go.  Once 2025 is behind us and we see the next cycle's top, it will give us (hopefully) a more realistic valuation and ability to see forward again.  Right now it's hard to determine future tops when the last top was manipulated downward.  If we see over half a million per BTC in 2025, then I'll feel pretty good about seeing a million in 2029.  Otherwise, I think 2033 is the better bet.  We just have to wait 2 and 1/2 years to see what the expect in 2029.
3574  Economy / Collectibles / Re: yogg sweeping again - Playtoshi edition on: April 05, 2023, 09:44:28 PM
unfortunately it is really true and it happened today.
as i found out today, Xprim777 was called by yogg today and the bastard Patrick told him that all 21 playtoshi cards he is about to sweep.
he found the pk's on his computer...

Wow.  This is a whole new level to the scam.  Now he's literally calling people in advance and giving them a heads up that he's about to sweep more?  That's literally psychopath behavior.  I'm sure he's reading all these threads and getting off on it.  Please folks, if you have any private key this psycho created, get the funds before this can go any further.  The whole situation is terrible.  I'm reading about this guy taking loans from people?  Did everyone know that he had multiple loans?  This is the sort of thing that would discourage buyers from trusting someone.  Maybe a thread needs to be created keeping track of individuals that control private keys and ask for loans?  Looking back, it seems that all the warning signs were there, but people were blinded by friendship.  I think instead of worrying about recovering funds or making Yogg's life miserable (which is understandably justified) we should be trying to figure out how to keep this from happening again.
3575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 05, 2023, 07:38:39 PM
One of the biggest games of the year is on tomorrow. ESPN will be showing the Lakers vs the Clippers and they are both currently sitting on each side on the play-in tournament with a tying record. There’s a good chance whoever wins tomorrow will be getting the final playoff spot in the west and leaving the other to face the play-in tournament.
That's a game we don't want to miss and let's see how they will gonna play their game against their former teammate Westbrook. As the Lakers continue winning their games these past few days, there is no reason for them to choke on this one unless WB and his new teammates will try their very best to stop them, and there's no doubt that this upcoming game will be like a game 7 in the western conference because no team wants to participate in the play-in tournament when they have a good chance like this to secure their spot in the NBA playoffs.
I think it's not going to be Westbrook that makes a difference between the teams. I mean he is a decent player there is nothing wrong with that, but we saw him play at Lakers for so long and he helped them with nothing at all, and won't help Clippers neither, but Clippers do have other good players that will help them for sure, that is good enough for them.

I think it's quite important to remember that this is a team that plays as well as you can hope for and they are ranked higher than Lakers as well. But this win will mean so much for Lakers considering they may not even be in the play-in tournament if they manage to win this game, and that's very big win.

The Lakers are on a roll. I was a bit surprised to see that they were the underdogs against the Clippers tonight. I’m wondering if someone is out that I’m not aware of or something. For me, the Lakers are the favorites to win this game so I dropped down a little bet. The Clippers seem to be having their own issues and with Russell back facing the Lakers, it’ll be a good game for sure.
3576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 05, 2023, 05:05:08 PM
I’m just now seeing that Embiid scored more than half of his team’s points (53) against the Celtics in a win. 20-25 from the field in a crazy performance against one of the league’s best teams. Doc Rivers said in the press conference that the MVP race is over because Embiid just scored more than half their points in an NBA game. Not sure I agree with that but Embiid will give Joker a run for his money.

I heard they were spending upwards of 200 million dollars on this Trump arrest nonsense. When you review the facts about a non-disclosure agreement and statute of limitations it’s actually a bit shocking that it’s gone as far as it has. As we watch the United States behave less and less like a serious nation, the future looks darker than ever.
3578  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 05, 2023, 07:52:49 AM
It seems like the market responded a little to Trump’s speech about the demise of the dollar being the United States’ biggest loss in 200 years. It’s looking more and more like a dollar crash is on the table. If that happens it’s really anybody’s guess how high the price of Bitcoin could go. For now though, the grind upward continues on the path to $30K.

Some good mismatches today as the season winds down. Thinking I might throw up a parlay bet for the Lakers to beat the Jazz (closest matchup), the Suns to beat the Spurs, the Nuggets to beat the Rockets, and the Bucks to beat the Wizards. Most of those games should be gimmes except maybe the Jazz beating the Lakers. I think the Lakers hot streak will continue though.
