3562  Other / Meta / Re: Will we rename Bitcointalk to Gavincointalk? on: February 03, 2015, 07:16:39 PM
I think most people are overreacting/complicating things Smiley

Will Bitcoin be named Gavincoin after the fork, if it happens? Yeah, you have your answer there Smiley

Any plans on enabling logging in via email+password+2FA? Smiley

also make sure you include text 2fa as some people like me do not have cell phones that use google or apple, i just have a also fasion normal cell phone to get text and make calls

That's what they already have in place while logging in, there's a code sent to your phone.
3564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Darkleaks - A new version of Wikileaks? on: February 03, 2015, 04:58:53 PM
This could either be an amazing thing, or an awful thing.

It can lead to great secrets being exposed, and that's quite good. There are many things running behind out backs that we should be aware of...

But it can make a business out of exposing secrets. Some will only trade them for hefty amounts of Bitcoin. Let's see where this goes Smiley

The question is, will you trade btc for some confidential military secrets or nude celebrity pictures? What do you think?

The question is, why not? Many would give away thousands of Bitcoin in exchange for secrets like the ones Snowden or Assange made public.

As for nudes, haha, they would eventually get funded by many who want to see!

I think there is indeed a market for these kinds of things. But so far most of the people leaked stuff for free. By creating an easy and pseudo-anonymous market for leakers, we are in a way, making this just another market... Smiley

The bonus projections are indeed incredibly helpful! Thank you.

So, the "humble merchant" website fell, and he earned red trust... Not expected at all Wink

Too bad that OP will make this site die off... It had nice puzzles Smiley Seems that he doesn't login here for quite some time
3571  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Miami University (Ohio) Bitcoin Club Startup on: February 02, 2015, 05:38:43 PM
I don't have funds to back you up, but I have a suggestion: it's not enough to create a Bitcoin club. You guys should also create a true Bitcoin economy in your University, so people feel encouraged to spend Bitcoins, and learn more about them Smiley
3572  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-02-02] GAW Miners & Paycoin – Scam Alert , Complaints & Under SEC Investig on: February 02, 2015, 05:35:57 PM
Has it been really confirmed that folks from Gaw and Paycoin attacked Coinfire?

As for the rest of the news, no new stuff, I think. Some had warned about it since the early days...
3573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Attention Cryptsy Users: Somethings Very Wrong With Cryptsy Lately. Be Advised. on: February 02, 2015, 03:24:11 PM
Try contacting them again. Contact Vern on Twitter and see if someone answers you, or contact them directly through the phone. Make multiple support tickets if needed, and try to talk to them through the chat!

This is really bad for their image... People with large funds have constant problems there. There's a guy on Reddit who can't withdraw 180 BTC... Never put much there myself, but I also had some problems with them every now and then.
3574  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New miners king? RPi 2 on: February 02, 2015, 03:12:54 PM
You can also order it from here https://www.modmypi.com/shop/raspberry-pi-2-model-b-new

They seem to have it stock, they're trustful and accept Bitcoin Smiley
And some premium price, not to big, but shipping cost are 50% of that price Sad

Yes, and there is VAT too. And apparently they don't give the cheaper non-tracked option anymore... But it's a good option if you don't want to wait much longer Smiley
3575  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-02-02] CD: Spondoolies-Tech and Genesis Team Up for Cloud Mining Service on: February 02, 2015, 03:02:37 PM
Spondoolies sqeezing a bit more profit, and Genesis joining the ride... I'd do the same if I was them Grin

All of them 5 chip? Are they modded? And what's the PSU?

3578  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New miners king? RPi 2 on: February 02, 2015, 12:17:13 PM
I think this is an amazing new addition to the Raspberry family, especially because of the extra RAM. I've had situations where RAM memory was simply maxed out... And yes, this will probably be the new miners king. You can attach enough miners to it, it still runs on low power, more powerful than previous generations, you can even run a Bitcoin or several altcoin nodes in it... Just amazing Smiley

And these guys from the Raspberry Foundation probably just found another cash cow, haha Smiley
3579  Other / Meta / Re: Recent downtime and data loss on: February 01, 2015, 07:18:29 PM
Another odd, non-planned outage... Seems that everything is now back and working though, search included Smiley
3580  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Right wing or left wing and why? on: February 01, 2015, 12:13:44 PM
I don't support any wing. I was raised with the idea that all politicians final goal is to steal people's money, so I really don't support any party. When asked this question I usually say that my party is the pirate party Grin

If people respected each other and knew how to behave, we could perfectly well live in anarchy. Unfortunately, that's not the case Smiley
