3561  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitamp Bitcoin Web Wallet - Send & Receive Bitcoin Instantly! on: January 23, 2021, 09:45:46 PM
There you go, now everyone wants you to know who you are, even when using a personal wallet that itself doesn't collect identities. Very sad news for privacy, but I suppose one must learn to abide by the laws of the countries they choose to do business with. Let's see where this goes from here.

I only have one word regarding this: DEX - Decentralized Exchange!  Wink
(Is that one word or two, though?)

OWNR Wallet kampanja je danas zavrsila.

Izgleda da ce BigBoss ipak okupiti dovoljan broj kandidata za svoju novu signature kampanju:

We still have 10+ available slots for all the ranked eligible for participants in this campaign. Stay turned for any more information. Today is the last day to accept participates remember a maximum of five posts will be counted daily.

Pročitao sam jedno laičko objašnjenje kako se dogodio "lažni" double spend Bitcoina pa prenosim ovdje. Možda će nekome biti zanimljivo.

Hvala ti na ovom laickom objasnjenju. To mi sada zvuci savrseno logicno.
Jedino sto mi jos nije jasno su "novinari" iz Cointelegraph-a. Zar oni ni ne znaju za ovo?
3565  Other / Off-topic / Re: Share Good Movies Please? on: January 19, 2021, 09:19:12 PM
Besides, the fans of Doctor Who know that each Christmas a special episode was released. The 2020 Christmas episode actually aired on January 1st, 2021 and it's named Revolution of the Daleks. I hope that Season 13 will be aired soon.

I am such a sucker for Sci-Fi and I think Doctor Who is probably the only series from the genre I did not like and I really watched a lot from genre. I watched a couple of episodes here and there and there was always something missing. Maybe I will give it another shot if this covid lock down continues for much longer.

You say that as if you were reading my mind.
I don't think I could ever get used to it. I've tried watching these series a few times, but I just get depressed.
I thought it was because of the specific British humor, but I enjoyed watching, for example, Red Dwarf and some other British series so that can't be the reason. Doctor Who really doesn't suit me, despite all the reincarnations.

Therefore, we use adapters Sata - 6 pins or Sata 4 pins.

And, don't forget, smoke detectors. And speaking of which, fire extinguishers are recommended as well.  Cheesy

okay, you should have reprimanded me first via messages, not directly reporting and giving negative values, everything can be discussed first, not directly reporting and giving negative values, please withdraw the negative values.

Wrong. Why should someone reprimand you via messages first? You are very well aware that you are violating the rules of the forum and you have done so on several occasions. No one here is paid to be your nanny.

If you break the rules - you bear the consequences, that's the only fair way.
3568  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What advice will you give to a beginner trader? on: January 17, 2021, 07:18:21 PM
As a novice in cryptocurrency trading, I tried to get as much information as I could by reading a range of publications and online tutorials. What I recall as good tips for all beginners are the following five techniques:
- Learn and understand the overall concept of cryptocurrencies
- Start small and scale gradually
- Invest in multiple coins
- Track market movements and learn from them
- Reallocate your investment

I may have missed something, but these are the ones I've been acting on.

3569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am Satoshi Nakamoto on: January 17, 2021, 06:53:14 PM
Your sarcasm is as empty as my wallet 10 years ago.

Please, enlighten me then. The real reason why you created Bitcoin is?
3570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am Satoshi Nakamoto on: January 17, 2021, 06:34:56 PM
Hey satoshi csw, mind sending a couple BTC my way out of your stash of one million or so Wink

Looks like you missed it. He threw away all computers and disks because bitcoin "had no value" ten years ago.

At the same time, he explains that he didn't have any money and he created Bitcoin to buy some stuff online?! Sure thing, college boy!

3571  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin flash mob? (My 20,000th post) on: January 17, 2021, 04:49:21 PM
It could be as simple as holding three events over a 24 hour period.

Yes, that may work, actually.

... rather create something on Youtube called Bitcoin flash mobs and then get people to post their Bitcoin address and their videos ...

You mean, like, popular YouTube challenges? Yeah, young audiences seem to be into those right now. I like that idea too.

3572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: smoke detector on: January 17, 2021, 04:24:44 PM
In my first reply, I wrote:

Don't skimp on cables. Don't use a 6/8pin GPU power adapter from SATA or Molex. Even 2xMolex to PCIE isn't a smart idea.

To which you replied:
This rig has individual PCIE cables for each GPU and riser. Sorry but I fail to understand which cable is wrong.

And then, a few posts later, you post links to 6 Pin PCI to SATA Power Cable with the question of whether to use them or not?
I really don't know what you don't understand here.
3573  Economy / Speculation / Re: POLL: What will be the ATH in 2021? on: January 17, 2021, 04:13:12 PM
I do not think that Bitcoin is capable of growing even higher now, because many people entered it at very high levels.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. No one expected that ATH would jump to $42k a couple of weeks ago, either. The year has just started, and it's too early to say how far bitcoin may or may not go. I really don't understand your reasoning.
3574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: smoke detector on: January 16, 2021, 03:28:18 PM
I have been using corsair PSU to all my rigs. This rig has individual PCIE cables for each GPU and riser. Sorry but I fail to understand which cable is wrong. Thanks for your help.

Heat is generated when high currents encounter resistances. These are mostly either bad wires (small diameter) or bad connectors.
If you are confident in the quality of your power supply and use dedicated cables, make sure you don't have bad connectors somewhere. If the connector is loose, it should be replaced.

I'm just saying that a smoke detector is not a good solution because the wires shouldn't melt if everything is done correctly.
3575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ethereum performance, what do you think? on: January 16, 2021, 03:10:56 PM
Here is the price chart of the ethereum in the past 24 hours:

Ethereum was also among the top performing cryptocurrencies in the previous trading week as well and has good chances to break to new record levels soon. But I don't exactly see +26% as you said. How did you calculate it?
3576  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitamp Bitcoin Web Wallet - Send & Receive Bitcoin Instantly! on: January 16, 2021, 02:45:35 PM
Did you know that Bitcoin addresses were originally adviced to be use only once?

Yes, but a growing number of owners still use the same address indefinitely. Personally, I like to use different addresses for different services. For example, I use one address for small expenses, another for gambling, and so on.

I think it's too complicated to use a different address for just about every transaction. I would very quickly lose track of where I used which address.
3577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: smoke detector on: January 16, 2021, 02:24:31 PM
Recently a cable connecting riser to PSU melted. Do people here use any smoke alarm to get notification? Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks

I experienced melted cables myself, but it was due to poor wiring. Are you sure you didn't accidentally use bad wiring to get that melted cable, for example poorly connected +12V?
Don't skimp on cables. Don't use a 6/8pin GPU power adapter from SATA or Molex. Even 2xMolex to PCIE isn't a smart idea.
Of course if you have a crappy PSU it only makes things even worse.

Use only dedicated 6/8pin PCIE cables and I prefer only power supplies of the top brand with enough juice.

Smoke detector alarm should be your second line of defense. Better safe than sorry, as they say.

Please Ban Dokdo766 immediatelly, he always do plagiarisme here;

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1926895.msg56100837#msg56100837

For some unknown reason, this account has not yet been banned. I think this is temporary. I submitted a ban request for the same post yesterday.

Yeah, since you have already reported Dokdo766, I don't think there is a need to clutter this thread with multiple reports. I assume there are still a lot of plagiarists waiting to be exposed. Wink

It is better to report each of his plagiarized posts to a moderator with a reference to the original source.

3580  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin flash mob? (My 20,000th post) on: January 16, 2021, 10:21:58 AM
Interesting! How are you even coordinating a flash mob on a global scale?
Yes, you might go and invite people to meet at a designated time and place, but this doesn't work well on a global scale due to different time zones. I doubt people would be interested in a flash mob at 5.00 a.m.  Wink

I would love to help but unfortunately I have no experience with organizing events like this.
