3561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: September 25, 2021, 10:28:43 AM
Today's game in London between Chelsea and Manchester City looks very interesting. Both teams started the season well and are serious candidates for the Premiership champions. I believe that today we will see a very tight and even game in which not many goals will be scored. My tips for this match are a draw and less than 2.5 goals.

Big game really for both teams as Chelsea will be looking not to drop points, an Manchester city will be aiming at getting a point. Formerly i would have been scared for the Chelsea side if they didn't have a good coach, but with Tuchel who is a tactical genius, I'm confident Chelsea will  put up a good performance against Pep's side.  Both teams to score definitely, but i predict Chelsea with a 2-1 win today against Manchester city.

As for the Manchester United and Aston villa game, many eyes are going to be watching and observing the tactics of Ole the coach against Aston villa and especially if he is going to start play with Fred who has been poor this season in performance. If Manchester United losses or draw this game, he definitely needs to leave the team.

3563  Economy / Economics / How has inflation affected your savings and investing? on: September 24, 2021, 04:22:00 PM
Inflation is really kicking in, the cost of things are getting really high in the market and its not even december yet, its effects are evident on the price of food stuffs, transportation, electricity bills, gas bills and others. How are you handling it and how has it affected your savings/your percentage for investing (if you have one)?

Have you had to cut down on your expenses so as to maintain the percentage of your income you allocate to savings & investing?, Or you have adjusted the percentage for savings and investing so as to accommodate and maintain your standard of living?

Up until today, I've only heard about the "whales" and "sharks" in bitcoin, i never knew that there were other ranks named after aquatic animals in bitcoin for every category of hodler.

3565  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn Merits? on: September 24, 2021, 10:29:03 AM
On the other hand, I'm one of the few who believe that merits aren't completely bestowed as a mark of post quality in the general sense because what makes for quality to User A won't be for User B or C or D. So, every individual user has what constitutes quality for them. It's a subjective issue.

I completely agree with you, a purpose of this forum is allow each user express themselves freely and share perspectives based on different exposures, thinking and mindsets on majorly bitcoin related topics and then other topics. If a user like me find your post or comment beneficial to me in some way i may decide to give you a merit.

So IMHO there is no fixed way to earn merit other than to be of benefit in your contribution to someone through original and well composed post and comments in the forum.
3566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the partway to financial independent on: September 24, 2021, 05:45:21 AM
it is evident that Bitcoin indeed offers real financial independence to it, users, all over the world. On can send millions of dollars through Bitcoin with a small fee and at a faster way without any third party involvement.

In this context, you mean independence from the government i suppose, but on a broader spectrum, to make your topic in-depth, financial independence according to Forbes,

https://www.forbes.com/sites/financialfinesse/2021/07/05/5-steps-to-plan-for-your-financial-independence-day/?sh=428ba10b2872

Having grasped a broader understanding of the words "financial independence" and as bitcoin enthusiast, we can say that proper investment in bitcoin over time and with good discipline for HODLing over time, one can achieve financial independence when the price of bitcoin hits the moon.
3567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto statue unvailing in Graphisoft Park (Hungary) on: September 23, 2021, 06:29:57 PM
Originally when i saw this headline, i was very excited as to maybe they had at one point identified and unravelled the true identity of Satoshi and the statue was really Nakamoto. But not quite, this statue is a perfect symbolism of anonymity and a proof that Satoshi is a living legend and that his or their efforts to stay anonymous is working.
3568  Economy / Economics / Re: E-Naira: CBN to launches Nigeria’s digital currency on: September 23, 2021, 05:35:59 PM
There's really no need to stress much about these kind of news about Nigeria, our country is not mature enough to handle something as the "E-naira". Some people in the rural areas and some urban areas are still struggling to come to terms with the regular USSD mobile code, talk less of the "E-naira" which will definitely be operational through an application. Regular Banking network and systems are not even 100% yet, somedays the whole banking system is very disappointing.

I hope they have plans on how to make this E-naira sustainable, because i don't think it will survive.

I have read through a lot of comments on this topic and i can say from observation that only few have have been original, sincere in their answers, while a greater part are being hypocritical and cliché in their responses.

Very correct that this forum is a school of some sort as many have mentioned, but personally, are you really learning from people's topics and responses? Do you really take the time to read through posts and replies before Sharing your views?? Or you are just accumulating post counts deceiving yourself that you are in a school?

3570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: September 23, 2021, 03:03:46 AM
Real Madrid 6:1 Mallorca
3 goals from Marco Asensio, 2 Goals and 2 assists from Benzema, 1 goal from Isco.

It's Benzema's performance for me this season, he has been very clinical in front of goal having 8 goals already and also has been a great assist for his other team mates. This Real Madrid squad is definitely leaving up to the standard of the teams name and glory,  already having 21 goals in just 6 matches, with a performance by like this, and if they can keep it up, they can win this season.
3571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FOOTBALL: EFL Carabao Cup 2021/22 Season (English Football League) on: September 22, 2021, 07:33:16 PM

Manchester United 2 - 0 West Ham United

Manchester has already cutting your slip with the very poor & unimpressive performance from Martial who seems to have lost all confidence on the ball. As for Sancho, i don't know if he is scared or something, or maybe he hasn't settled yet into the team, but whichever it is, he has to snap out of it quickly.
3572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: More women addicting problem in UK on: September 22, 2021, 04:15:12 AM
I never thought that women could have an addiction as men, but as humans, they see gamble as an opportunity to make money in this pandemic.

When most persons speak of gambling and its addiction, there's usually a bias because most of the people have males at the back of their mind as the option whenever gambling addiction is mentioned. Feminism and the change in age has shown us now that there are women now involved in most activities that were formerly male oriented, one of which is gambling, and i must say i'm not surprised.

Although the ratio of men to women found in betting shops before placing bets used to be like 20:2 (sometimes the women are staffs) maybe because of the awkwardness and stereotype against a woman who walks in to place her bet and gamble, online gambling has changed and eradicated all that, women who originally like to gamble but were keeping that part of them under check because of the stereotype of walking into a betting or gambling place, can now do gamble or bet online at the comfort of their homes without criticism, unknown to anyone because of online gambling. It's a reason IMHO why more women are getting addicted to gambling in the UK and other places.

3573  Economy / Economics / Re: El Salvador retirees protest against Bitcoin as legal tender on: September 20, 2021, 05:27:30 PM
As much as we may suspect that these protest in El Salvador because of the bitcoin adoption are politically motivated, it is also fair to view from another perspective and say that the protests are also a result of low orientation about the advantages of bitcoin and why their government suddenly decided to give it a go, to the masses.

If there is or was a proper circulation of information and sensitisation from the government to all age grades in the country, many will see no reason to protest, because they will understand the benefits this adoption has for the country, if they truly love their country.
3574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Impact of underage gambling? on: September 20, 2021, 05:13:16 PM
...but in recent times we see how young folks are making a positive impact and making money for themselves through the cryptocurrency space.
What is the best age a kid should get involve in online crypto gambling and what is your recommendation for that?

If you check properly, you will see that most of the young folks making money via the crypto currency space are not doing it mostly through crypto gambling.

For any thing that involves staking on the chance, because of it's very addictive nature, i believe you should as much as possible help kids make the right decisions until you are certain they can do it on their own and that is restricting them from all forms of gambling till they come of age.

There are other profitable aspects of the crypto space that you can show to kids instead of crypto gambling i believe.
3575  Economy / Economics / Future economic fear of the rich and poor. on: September 20, 2021, 11:22:13 AM
A discussion to express your views and perspectives on the future economic fear between two class of people in the society, the rich and the poor.

-I have often heard that there's an even greater fear with getting money, who do you think has more fear about the future?

(A) The Rich man who has tasted the good things of life and enjoying the best, now he has to face the fear of the possibility of suddenly loosing all he possesses and becoming poor? Or

(B) The poor man who has not enjoyed anything in life yet, just surviving and facing the fear of an unknown future, thinking if he is ever going to be in a better position or the suffering is going to continue?
3576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: September 19, 2021, 08:45:33 PM
It's been difficult for Messi to blend into PSG game play and French football, maybe because he has played only in Spain the most of his career, I think he needs a bit more time to get comfortable. The major topic for Messi critics will be that after he was removed from the game, PSG finally scored. Do you think it's a coincidence or the coach was right to take him off?
3577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: September 19, 2021, 05:48:20 PM
Chelsea's win today is a very convincing win from a side that wants to win the EPL this season especially against a side like Tottenham, the team is so solid and we can all agree that the coach is keeping to his word.

Although Lukaku didn't get in the scoreboard as i predicted, the Chelsea side is full of quality players who can still perform and the coach is tactical smart as well.
3578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: September 19, 2021, 03:00:57 PM

Wow, Jesse Lingard just scored for Man United at 89th minute.

That goal from him will really hurt the WHU fans, scoring against your former team like that especially in a home game will break their heart, what will break it even more is if he had celebrated the goal which we observe that he was reluctant to do. Manchester United can do better i believe, this is not a convincing win for a team that wants to win the EPL.

The Tottenham vs Chelsea match is going to be a thriller, i predict the game ending 1:2 ( in favour of Chelsea) with Lukaku on the scoresheet.

3579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: September 19, 2021, 02:45:16 PM
Does anyone think that cristiano ronaldo re-entering old trafford, would make the club become dependant on one-man cristiano ronaldo.
The Manchester United coach Ole and his tactical blindness is going to be the new problem they will be facing. How on earth will you sub a player like Pogba and still keep Fred in the field of play. Fred has been very poor this season but the coach still keeps him in the game, i wonder why? This is a game that Manchester United should easily win.
