Reading.

Avalance taking over Binance in TLV, boring, more money thrown in to make more money = inflation, everybody knows that but pretends it's not a thing.

Burning to reduce supply and make fake scarcity = useless mechanism and doesn't at all do anything to price.

CMC in 2025 should portray additional info behind the mechanisms used by coins: for example TLV, how many people hold those volumes and how much is actually for utility. And for burning, how much was total supply, total burned, and net effect on market cap.

I guess not many people are going to be excited about the first game of the new round, but Levante are the home favorites and but it is strange as this is bottom team versus 13th place team, so Elche should be expected to win again right?

Anyway, not that it can make a big difference but I want to see if I can be like Bitcoin Girl in EPL pool and get yellow cap to climb out of my huge hole lol

3564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: February 25, 2022, 09:06:51 AM
You know, I was saying back when UCL was still at group stage that it would actually not be a bad thing for Barca to drop into Europa and then challenge there, and from the results and reports so far, I think that's been a brilliant turnaround so far.

We're not good enough to win La Liga let alone Champions League but Europa would be a great boost, plus it's a strange but valuable ticket to enter into the top tier club competition as Villareal has shown.

We're smiling again Smiley

Sportsbook
Ok! Added to tasklist.

Holy wow that is excellent news OP, and I totally love it BUT I would love much more if we made sure that the current Blackjack fun website takes in all the feedback and completes every milestone.

Sportsbook is amazing but leave that for last (I would highly recommend anyway). Let's make what we have even more awesome first so nobody ever needs to go anywhere else for lowest edge Blackjack!

Anyway, just to report in that Olympics is over and I won my 1.11 outright on Norway. Big deal, I know haha, but also played my freespins remainder from the gold medal promo for 0.19 mbtc.

I didn't take this promo, the last one I did was Afcon and haven't really been enticed to take anything else. Busy with work also, so even my betting isn't very active, but that's also to do with shrinking capital in my wallet lol

Anyway, cups are approaching for most leagues, and then final quarter of the season will start in March, and then everything crunches up in May, so I'm hoping to see some late promos for the midseason!
3569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: February 23, 2022, 11:02:57 AM
and for Atletico Madrid vs Manchester United, in its history the two teams have only met twice, namely in the Cup Winners' Cup in 1991, when Manchester United lost 3-0 in Madrid by Atletico and was held to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. And I hope Manchester United will win the game even if it is difficult.

Oh wow, that's a long time ago, if Ronaldo wasn't playing before in La Liga, then he'd never have met many of the guys here. I wonder who else has met each other before though. de Gea I am very sure knows a lot of the players there.

1991 was the period just before United became the global force, Atletico is I would say more effective than them in winning lately, if you remove the spending power of Old Trafford.

Which one is your pool username? How are you doing?

City quotes for the fact that they will become champions 1.22 and Liverpool 4.3.
Real Madrid quotes for winning La Liga 1.07 and Sevilla 11.2
Real Madrid will become champions, that's undeniable, I'm sure of it. As for City, as you can see, their chances are much higher than Liverpool according to the bookies. Bookmakers are responsible for their prediction with money, if you think that they are wrong in this situation, and supposedly the situation is almost equal with Liverpool, then you probably already made a bet on Liverpool of the maximum size?  Wink

On the basis of results, fully agree. City didn't even play so well and won 5-0 (but of course they also then lost to Spurs). Liverpool 4.3 sounds really good, but I wonder is it because their route is harder that City is expected to get to the final and win? I agree, people who say things need to show it with their money.

I always feel Barca is totally undeserved and still bet on them lol

I feel like the season is rather unfair, City had a rather easy group and Last 16, but you can't blame the pot picking.

3571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: February 23, 2022, 08:50:01 AM
Totally agree with all the assessments about tonight I know Juventus haven't been doing well in the league but surely something is off when they're not the favorites against Villareal. They're not the same team they were, no team really is, but Villareal also is going to be highly prone to allow goals. BTTS is for sure, just who will get more goals I guess is the winner, but at the same time both don't mind drawing too with away goals rule gone I would say.
Yes, that will make each team finally have to win in the initial match with a goal, because in the second leg later of course they can apply a defensive strategy which of course has been proven by many of the big teams and can't even do much. Regarding Villarreal v Juventus it is very possible for both teams to score because they both have the ability to score goals and also, the defense that was not so perfect for both allowed them to concede.

So we got the BTTS as usual, but apparently according to most of the videos on highlights, the betting odds were correct to show Villareal as favorites. I think if they just had better finishing they would have had more goals, while Juventus actually didn't create as much and still scored a great first goal.

So all even, the ending match should be a brilliant one to watch. Tonight is another BTTS encounter I believe as Suarez meets Ronaldo. Old enemies Wink

Reading some frankly dumb headlines about Messi being vindicated because of mistakes made by Neymar (penalty, of course, yes it was weak but he also scored so the media is being unfair I think, even if I did previously say Mbappe should be PK taker) and worse, because of Wijnaldum's handball. I mean come on everybody gives away sometimes it was obviously unintentional right. Anyway, 10 points lead (considering game extra). It's nothing.
When you spend a fortune in a player but he performs like an ordinary player and he miss a penalty then everyone will roast him. They will criticise everything in fact related to him until he returns to his actual performance then they will say that's the player we know. Personally I am still waiting for way more from him..

Yeah but this is a guy who's actually been giving less and less returns every season since he joined, so if they're not used to it by now, then they really need to wake up and snap out of it haha. What I mean is that Neymar being ineffective is not new, so he does not vindicate Messi at all. I guess we will all continue waiting if he wants to take PKs like that.

Put Mbappe in the PK and that's all everyone needs to do, or keep Messi and let him train.
3573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banning Bitcoin is Like Banning the Internet, Says Russia’s Finance Minister on: February 22, 2022, 04:05:52 PM
It's a great point and I think it's the total and hard truth. But aren't Russia and China among those who try their best to ban the internet? Of course not entirely but both countries frequently use censorship and for example in Kazakhstan Russian elements were there jamming wifi signals and all that.

So they know they can't ban the internet but they try anyway. Who says they won't try with Bitcoin?

Pedri's goal from the shot touched Auba and the goal and has been awarded to Auba, so he has a Hat trick on his first game for Barcelona as a starter.
Yes, Aubameyang played as the starter first time in this match. He made 3 goals for Barcelona to ensure Barcelona management that he deserves to be a starter in each match. I am sure Xavi will consider him to be Barcelona main central forward after this good achievement. We must admit that Aubameyang is an extraordinary striker in the past, but he made the wrong decision to join Arsenal previously. Now, he started very well in Barcelona, hope he will be successful here.

Pedri deserved to have that goal, actually. But I guess being the awesome dude he is, he probably also preferred to let Auba celebrate his hattrick. Free transfer already paid off I guess.

I wouldn't say he made a wrong decision about Arsenal though. He was good for the club and the club also reaped rewards. All the issues kinda was his fault. Still not 100% sure about this guy especially with all the stuff that happened at Arsenal but hopefully we find that Xavi is a better person to manage that guy's personality than Arteta.
3576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Sandbox will likely recover? on: February 22, 2022, 09:49:45 AM
It's in the gaming industry so I won't worry much, imo. I have lots of coins that is on the same industry and most of them are also in bloody status. The thing is, when Bitcoin goes down most of the crypto coins are being pulled by it.
But, I have high hopes when it comes to games applied in the blockchain. They are the future of that industry and somewhere in the future they will create lots of games that will be supported by new era gamers.

Yeah, the one true truth in crypto is that Bitcoin is king. Don't ever let altcoin swings fool you, because they may achieve ATH differently and they may go up in wild hectic buys but pull out the chart on max timeframe and it always compares to Bitcoin's chart.

About blockchain gaming, I believe the hope lies in REAL actual games. P2E shitshow is nothing to do with gaming IMO.

Levante have had good results in the last two matches but unfortunately, it looks like it is still difficult for Levante to get out of the relegation zone. But if Levante can be consistent to keep getting points then of course Levante can get out of the relegation zone but that's only for a consistent team, because we know it's difficult for a team to be consistent especially now that Levante is a team at the bottom of the table.

You seem to be doing very well in our pools hahay, so if anyone knows what they're talking about, you're one of them for sure. Me, I used to think I know this league decently but my results all prove otherwise.

I think the problem in La Liga now is that none of the teams have been consistent, with the exception of Real Madrid and Sevilla (but that is only relative to the rest of us).

I still don't see Levante staying up though.

3579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will happen to the price when all the bitcoins are mined? on: February 21, 2022, 12:04:59 PM
But I never thought about bitcoin block size like this, I thought it was just about the burden of individual nodes keeping the entire blockchain. Because even I right now couldn't afford to do it. I know there is pruning but I'm not so technical. It's only less than half TB but most of us on PC are still using max 512gb disks Smiley I know it's different in Europe maybe but that puts most of us in Asia out.

i would have thought (joking here) that asia would be ahead of the game. especially since the hard drives people in the west buy.. come from asia

im just going to use thailand as an example
if we assume a 4mb block full utility for full transaction access.. well thats 1.26TB for the next 6 years( call it 1.6tb for all 18 years back to genesis. you can get a 2tb for 1800b in thailand. which is about 6 days min wage, which should see you good until 2028
(most people update their PC every 4-6 years anyway)

even super fast unlimited internet is only like 2 days(10% of min wage monthly income) which is about standard cost around the world

Ok wow Thailand is my neighbor but I had no idea it was that cheap there. In my other neighbor Malaysia, for 2 TB of a standard cheap brand on offer you pay RM300 (everybody here checks on Lazada at minimum quality if you buy from other cheap sites you will get ripped off with Alibaba fakes, this is the other problem of Asia, you have 50 online shops and maybe 40 of them are fakes and we do not have online purchase protection like a normal country should have lol) where RM 800 is the minimum wage (it is as high as 1200 in one or two states) and nobody who earns minimum wage ever has any savings.

I am actually shocked minimum wage in Thailand is 50% more than Malaysia (or exactly same if living in most expensive state), but I am 100% sure like Malaysia, most workers are not earning minimum wage as employers don't go to jail or even get fined for hiring illegally. I should know this very well as I spent many many years before this being hired illegally for pay way below the legal minimum Smiley We all do it here, facts of life.

Thanks for your comments I learn a little bit (also hopefully understand a little bit).

So so glad I decided to put a little money on yesterday game even though I thought United would somehow fail to live up to expectations Smiley

This is only 3 busts in between the last BJ which I also put something on. And now from being practically broke on wallet I've put a comfortable balance inside, all thanks to Blackjacks.

Well done everyone!
