3561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: October 21, 2022, 11:27:17 AM
Oh yeah, my mistake, I was looking at the whole schedule of the pre-season game and didn't check the date, and it was tomorrow Saturday that there are plenty of games.

But I will still stick with the Clippers, -3.5 for me as well.

I will skip the Bucks vs 76ers, but will watch if I have time.

@Kasabus - yeah mate, just got lucky, winning by just 0.5,  Grin
Man! You are indeed lucky. You just dodged another bullet there not betting for the Bucks vs 76ers.  Grin

1/2 for me.

LA Lakers gave me some chills there when they are on the run while Kawhi was benched for his minutes' restriction. They even had the lead for a short period of time.
76ers. Argh. Giannis was eating them whole. They are having a hard time preserving the lead.
I enjoyed the block contest though.  Cheesy 2 blocks for Lopez and 3 for Giannis also he is 2 assists shy of a triple-double.

Another close one for me in the battle of Los Angeles.

Yeah, that's why I stir away from the Sixers vs Bucks, as Giannis might be still fresh with his Fiba stint and so he is desperate for a big win and indeed he deliver a great performance against the Sixers.

Might be looking at this games tomorrow:

Memphis vs Rockets
Suns vs Portland
3562  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may drop to $15k or so but it'll definitely hit $300k+ in coming years on: October 20, 2022, 11:48:38 PM
That's just my thoughts. Maybe by 2024, unless all hell breaks loose.

As long as internet keeps chugging along though, BTC will prevail. Smiley
Bitcoin will always grow its value every year.

You mean every bull run, yes, this is true, we have seen it already like last year when it grows to $69k tops.

Despite of its inevitable price fall backs, it will never fail to recover and at the end of the day when most of the altcoins are dying and losing their value, bitcoin will always stand up and survive. And maybe the reason why even if the current market is in crisis, we are still expecting bitcoin to reach another all time high once the bull season is here. $300k is not that bad though, but I would say let’s target $100k first and when we’re already there, then we’ll set another higher target price for bitcoin.

And that is what we call the 4 year cycle, in 2021, it was the bubble that push the price to all time high and then after that the bear market takes over and it's down like -70% already. Nevertheless we all know that it will recover in the next coming years. We are just given enough time to accumulate today and next year and maybe the target of $300k could be reach in our next all time high. If not then at least $100k could be the easy target.
3563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Faucet and Bonus Farming on: October 20, 2022, 11:26:43 PM
I have seen more than 2 casinos locking user accounts for this action, and is it really the users fault?

If the users claims tons of faucets or bonus is because the casino engine allows it, and if the casino is losing money with this action they should fix their code to avoid this problem and not steal users money.

The casinos sets the rules of the game, and if a user is smarter enough to find a way to make profit with those rules then they shouldn't block users withdrawals.

So, what do you think about this?

And I think one rule of the game is not for gamblers to abuse or exploit their system like claiming tons of faucets or bonus abuse. Just like in landbase casino's, you might be smarter in the beginning, but as soon as the casino's notice something is odd, then for sure you will be flag by the pitboss.

So it goes down as to the question of morality, it is wrong to take advantage of casinos?

Maybe the answer depends on the individual itself, whether to continue abusing until they are caught or report the bugs to the casino.
3564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mnemonic is no longer safe? on: October 20, 2022, 11:11:07 PM
This is very first time I'm experiencing with the name of Coin98 wallet! Maybe its an extinction of crome browser, i notice it also available as Coin98 Super apk for mobile device. I don't know how safe this is for generating Mnemonic seed. I suggest to open another Mnemonic seed by using Trust wallet or metamask and transfer funds from others wallets which are created by using Coin98! Cause it also possible those wallets are already compromised and hacker will transfers fund later and recheck your device and make sure that is safe

I'm also not aware of Coin98 mobile wallet.

There might be some part of the story that we didn't know since OP just conclude right away that it's because of mnemonics being not safe. OP should look at all sides of the case starting from the hardware/devices that were used or might be his friend did some unintentional action that is not aware of.

Technically, mnemonics are safe and can't be breached that just easy. Although I'm not really aware of this Coin98 wallet and I'm confused about how on earth your friend ended up with a wallet that I can't even consider as popular or reputable.

I agree, maybe this is just part of the story, maybe someone the OP's friend has access to his PC and then later found out his mnemonic phrase. So not necessarily a hacked or his PC has malware, it's more of an inside job.

And this is the main reason why you don't do that, saving your mnemonic phrase in a text base or something that is very clear to read and understand by others. Keep it away that only you have access to it.
3565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigerian Man Won $51,000 in Sports Betting With a Bet of Just $1.072 on: October 20, 2022, 10:31:49 PM
Here the man is lucky to win out of sports betting. In my country similar incident took place with a person winning lottery jackpot of $300k, after tax deduction he receives around $195k. This is a big amount, but he lost his regular life as people started to chase him requesting Financial aid. Now he keeps changing his house.

Man who won jackpot lottery regrets winning

Yup, that is so true, you will suddenly find that you have a lot of relatives, lol, when you win a lottery. People that you don't know will become your friends because of one thing, they want to received some money from you because of your huge win.

So I do agree that it's better to not open our mouth when we win big, no need to brag it out in the open because you don't know what's coming for you. Just live your regular lifestyle as if you didn't win any.
3566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Gambling Stories on: October 20, 2022, 10:16:40 PM
These are two gambling stories that are very interesting

Story 1
A man stole his girlfriend's 10k to place a bet. He won 100 million and returned 10k to his girlfriend. His girlfriend is furious and demands 40 million dollars.

Lol, this story is like choosing his babe (that is the term that the article used) over money. So it's going to be difficult not just for the man but for anyone who have been in this position before. I guess for me, I will give the money to the girl or then marry here.

Story 2
An apprentice who won 16 million naira on BET was asked by his boss to split the money into two parts. This 50 - 50. As the story goes, people sided with his boss, and he had no choice but to comply. It's important to remember that the money used to bet belongs to the apprentice, not the boss.

*Read the different opinions of people here

First, in your opinion, what would be a reasonable amount to give his girlfriend? Second, assuming you were the apprentice in the story, would you abandon your training or would you have given in to the pressure to split the money with your boss?

I'm not sure about this story though, why would he oblige to share half of the money to his boss?

Just quit the job and get your money simply as that. It will be stupid idea to give it to the demand of 50/50, unless he is being threatened by his boss to be murdered or killed (we don't know that extend of what people will do for money).
3567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin Survive A Nuclear War? on: October 20, 2022, 09:51:40 PM
Basic things are needed in order for us to survived, food, shelter and water. Even money will be useless in a nuclear war, how can you spend your money when there is nothing to buy and people are starving and fighting for food? We are talking here about the full destruction or the effects of a nuclear weapons to the whole world. But if the other half can survived, then maybe bitcoin will still continue to flourish and as long as there are people who can mine.

3568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 20, 2022, 09:30:29 PM
The game of the night is Los Angeles Lakers VS Los Angeles Clippers. I think a very enjoyable match is waiting for us. I'm not going to sleep tonight to watch this game.
I want to see what Kahwi and PG do tonight. I think Los Angeles Clippers will win this game.

Yes, only 2 games and this is what I'm interested to watch, Clippers vs Lakers.

The Clippers have upgraded their roster with the acquisition of John Wall, I think Wall can still contribute and maybe we can see some sign of his play during his prime. And then Kawhi, who wouldn't miss this guy? He was at his peaked in Toronto, bringing them the ring, unfortunately his Clippers stint wasn't that good and then he missed the entire season last year. So for sure Clipper fans is very excited to see him back again. And yes, I do have a bet on Clippers to win by a handicap against the Lakers which might not play Lebron.
3569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 20, 2022, 09:01:28 PM
Fury vs Usyk have been postponed for next year if I'm not mistaken as Usyk said that he wanted to take a break. And then we have heard that Fury vs Joshua was also in the horizon, unfortunately the fight is also in a dead end.
Usyk wants to rest so he can heal properly physically from the fights he has been in this year already, we will see him in the ring again next year. Fury who is hungry for a fight and has been turned down by Anthony Joshua for that audience, will now fight Chisora for the third time who he has beaten twice before. Fury is in a high spirited mode and is promising a good fight, but since he wanted the Anthony Joshua challenge before which he didn't get heading to the fight with Usyk next year, his team should not want to be quick to see Chisora as a walk over. Chisora has lost twice already to Fury and knows exactly who he is getting into the ring with, he will not like to make it three times, and he was the winner in his last fight, maybe that's an indication that he has developed from the last time he was in the ring with Fury.

But that is not the fans wanted for Fury to face isn't it? we demand a Joshua fight and it seems that they are in the negotiation table, unfortunately, it bogged down, we don't know who stall it or what is the problem because that is going to be huge in Britain. Chisora is not on the top 5 for the Heavyweight, maybe it was just a keep busy fight for Fury so that he can either wait for Usyk if he wanted to make it next year, or continue with the battle of Britain with Joshua. There is also a WBC title eliminator that is ordered by Sulaiman next week between Wilder and Ruiz Jr.

It's good though that I was able to ride on 1/3 of your bet and it's the one that won,  Grin

A lot of games tomorrow, I still haven't decided what to put, but in any case, I will wait for someone to share their tips and probably pick just one of all the games.  Grin

I like the chances of the Clippers in a game between two LA teams.
Lucky you! Very nice.

Just 2 games, like stadus said.
And both games are not that far with handicaps given. So, expect a close game for those two.
I like the chances for the Clippers to win too. Reggie Jackson is the only one listed as "probable" while the Lakers have Lebron and AD in it.
Clippers -3.5

The Bucks' debut for the season. 76ers already lost one but they are the favorites. The reason behind this is Middleton and Connaughton are out.
76ers -2.5

Oh yeah, my mistake, I was looking at the whole schedule of the pre-season game and didn't check the date, and it was tomorrow Saturday that there are plenty of games.

But I will still stick with the Clippers, -3.5 for me as well.

I will skip the Bucks vs 76ers, but will watch if I have time.

3571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 20, 2022, 04:35:08 PM

I guess their unification fight will still happen and it's inevitable because both of them are looking forward to make their own respective legacy, although I think there will be some stalling first  and knowing Casimero, he might bark to lift the hype until their fight is official. It might be delayed but it won't last long.

If Inoue will move up, there are champions that he has to beat, Casimero is not a champ so he also needs to win more fights like Inoue's gonna do. I hope to see them fight together because Casimero has been challenging Inoue when he was still a champion, but Inoue just ignore the challenge and fight an old Donaire, I don't know if he is just playing safe or what.

The same goes for Inoue if he decides to take his skills in the next weight class, he'll start just like what others do to test the waters because aside from that, he can't bring his belts in super bantamweight. His advantage is his status and not his record, that will keep him on hype to take the champions there after just 1 fight. Casimero's situation is different, he is literally starting from scratch in-order to fight the champions, but who knows? Inoue might pick Casimero on his debut and that'll be a nice gift for the fans of both camps.

Yes, but I reckon that Inoue can bring his power, but it's better to see it in the future when he decided to move up to super bantamweight. And it only makes sense for Inoue to go up, there's no more challenge for him in 118 lbs after he defeat Butler next.

And again, he talks about the champion in the super bantam and it seems he is looking forward to move up already. While the champion are welcoming him in and they are ready to face him. Stephen Fulton and Murodjon Akhmadaliev is ready for the Monster.
3572  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull Market, Is it going to come soon or Will People have to Wait More.. on: October 20, 2022, 04:16:50 PM
A lot of uncertainty happening. We got QE almost in Britain and Japan. So this means the fed hikes are starting to crack. No idea what will happen after this rate hike. Look what is happening already in most bond markets.

Fed will need to change course if things are going to start to crack to the point of where we end up in a deep recession. Which obviously they don’t want but can’t avoid.

Yeah, and I think we are already in full blown recession, maybe it was not as felt as 2008, but definitely the feeling is already here as QE is everywhere, prices are going up, value of dollar is going down or weakening.

I don't think that Fed can do anything about it because it's inevitable. And so we may have to wait for a couple of years before we can see a global recovery.

And it makes me think that the recovery could happen right in the heart of bitcoin's bull run, 2024-2025 and so it might be a very good year for us.
3573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win so big on: October 20, 2022, 03:56:15 PM
It's easy for someone to say get everything out and don't come back. But base on my experience, gamblers who won big are going to play again and again and who knows, that $50,000 will be gone in just a couple of days.

But let's say I withdraw that money, what will I do? I guess I will have to pamper myself, yeah, a good car will do for me and the rest of the money going to invest into real state or maybe a business.

Bad 2nd day for me as I only got 1 win out of 3 for my early bets.

The teams that I am expecting to win are all losing and that includes Denver Nuggets against the Utah Jazz.
Also, for the Brooklyn Nets which I thought was giving us a good surprise at how strong their chemistry will be but sadly Ben Simmons was fouled out early.
Zion is really back. Ingram is hot. That Pelicans team is crazy strong. I might bet for them at their next game.

^That's a nice win @morvillz7z

3575  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bear Market thread on: October 20, 2022, 09:36:37 AM

3576  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for October on: October 19, 2022, 11:47:17 PM
I expect the price to go further down this month. We have been going sideways at $19k for several weeks despite the economy getting worse. You can only hold $19k for so long when everything is so negative. There are no signs of improvement any time soon and many people are warning of a recession in the coming months.
Fair point, if there are more negative news in the coming months the support we have now will crack and even when Biden is assuring that nothing is going to happen, i do not believe him one bit as he cannot even remember what he did a few minutes back and with the way things are going, recession will hit bad and then Biden will find a way to blame others rather than owning up and it will have an impact on the entire economy.

So with the above mentioned situation we cannot look at the past charts and make a prediction on how the price will react this month.

Yeah, the recession is really hurting everyone at this point, not just crypto market. Even if Biden is not anti-bitcoin, still the market will not improved because of the worsening inflation around us.

So it will still be very long crypto bear market, this is just the start of the year and yeah, it could be worst next year when the price is being predicted to go down to $15k. Worth to mentioned as well that the war is still raging in Russia and it seems the Putin is hell bent of annexing Ukraine as he mobilized around 50,000-60,000 soldiers and declare martial law on cities that they have "won" on Ukraine grounds. So there is a lot that is really happening affecting every financial market.

Good, the thread is open now, and thanks @danherbias07 for giving us your tips.

I'm just a little bit rusty hehehe, nevertheless I will have to bet on some of your tips.

I will tail you Memphis -2.5 against Knicks. Gonna be close but I guess Memphis wanted to start at least winning so I have them with that handicap.
3578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is due for a big break on: October 19, 2022, 11:01:34 PM
It's just regretful that it cannot be noticed anymore.
Many investors are busy looking for something new that would enhance their profits in faster way than for a long and secure shot.
BNB, Staking coins, NFTs, etcetera.
They are even avoiding Bitcoin so it becomes more of a problem for Litecoin to be seen in the spotlight, unlike in the old days. That big break will be a long shot and near impossible.

True, it didn't get the recognition that it deserved, LTC has been a friend of gamblers as well, because it's very cheap and super fast transaction. I remember when BTC and ETC have problems with the deposit and fees are high. So I switch to LTC and it did great for me and so are for the other gamblers are well.

Unfortunately, the whole crypto space have been moving a lot lately, and now the hype is on NFT, Metaverse, the whole staking game and others. But if they can look at LTC right now and throw in some investment, for sure they won't regret it.
3579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: October 19, 2022, 10:39:55 PM
For those who are interested on the PPV numbers, as reported:

Quote
Nielsen Media Research revealed that their second 135-pound championship match drew an average audience of 935,000. Viewership peaked at 970,000 for a main event that ended approximately five minutes before Deontay Wilder’s first-round knockout of Robert Helenius began on FOX Sports Pay-Per-View.

However, it  is down as compared to their last fight:

Quote
The first bout between Haney (29-0, 15 KOs) and Kambosos (20-2, 10 KOs) drew an average audience of 1,322,000 and a peak audience of 1,351,000 four months ago.

https://www.boxingscene.com/haney-kambosos-rematch-watched-by-an-average-935000-viewers-on-espn--169844

But still though, I think the numbers are good and for sure the promoters are very happy to see this big numbers assuming that the fight happened in Australia and probably most buys are coming from the Aussies themselves.
3580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: October 19, 2022, 10:23:58 PM
It's an exhibition match and even if Pacquiao said that he'll give his best on this match, there's still the doubt playing on our minds if he will since this is just that type of match.
No boxer will claim to be more easy on their opponent, of course this is an exhibition match and for the purpose of making money as well.
We know Pacquiao is a legend and having this match against DK Yoo is quiet an obvious set-up. They both old, so maybe this is just for entertainment purpose and again for the money.

Yes, this is for pure entertainment, for the fans to wanted to see Manny again in the boxing ring. We all know that he is retired, but boxing fans still wants to see him. Who wouldn't? he bring us a lot of good fights during his prime good up straight up war inside the ring that's why he got so many fans and respect from the boxer themselves.

DK also have a match like this last year, probably he wants to experience more and Manny is ok with the deal.

This is Manny's first time in exhibition match, so yeah, he is ok with that. And as reported, the proceeds will go to the Philippines so it's all good. What's exciting is what Manny's or who is the next in line for him in the exhibition match. For sure many former boxers or Youtuber like Paul brothers will want to face him.
