3561  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin's Price be affected by this? on: October 05, 2022, 10:16:07 PM
Others might be bullish with this news. But we already know that Elon has sold much of his bitcoin already and he seems to be leaning with his favorite meme coin - Doge.

So I guess there is none, although the price seems to be very positive in the last couple of days but maybe manipulators are just riding the hype with this news and pumping the price and then we will see another dip in the $18k again. And if this news has some effect it will be in just short term.
3562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 05, 2022, 09:36:12 PM
RIP for the guy. Another death for boxing, another day of mourning. What could be possible changes in boxing to avoid future casualties? Boxing is a sport for the warriors though. These guys know that death is always in play once they enter the ring either for a real fight or a sparring session.

I don't think we can avoid it, boxing organization is doing everything they can prior to the fight, test and everything to see how healthy the boxer is. Maybe reducing the rounds again? but it won't be as competitive.

It's inevitable, there will be always some cases like that every once in a while. In the world of combat sports, the risk is always there and safety is not guaranteed, they may try to reduce the risks but they cannot take that factor away. Promoters, organizers, and fighters/boxer know that fact but they still chose to move forward because of the reward that they could get every fight.

Well, there are indeed some risks but they are willing to take that as it could get their lives more comfortable if in case they will finish the fight successfully and we cannot really blame them for that. They are knowledgeable enough to know what they get themselves into, and in simple words, not all are born to be a boxer. Reducing rounds is not that reasonable as it will make the fight uninteresting, there's a reason why boxing have 12 rounds while UFC have 3 rounds.

Yes, I don't think that reducing rounds will do any good as well. And it's really sad but inevitable part of any contact sports like boxing, it's just an accident nothing more. And with the advancement of sports medicine and new trainer method, we might see lesser fighter dying after a fight due to concussions in the head. And there is nothing to blame, although the 3rd man in the ring will have to do a better job next time if they hear this kind of sad news.
3563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 05, 2022, 09:17:34 PM
Fun game by the New Orleans Pelicans versus the Chicago Bulls.
The bench players' performance in the last quarter of the game made it look like it was a regular season.  Cheesy
NOP 129 - Bulls 125

The Pelicans look great, and Zion looks good (I can't tell if some weight was lost). They are a solid team and their bench looks promising too with Willy Hernangomez who won the Fiba Eurobasket MVP.
If healthy, I think they have a great chance to make a top seed. They will probably be one of the favorites this season.

I don't usually watch pre-season games because they aren't serious games. But I'm also excited at how the healthy Pelicans will end up this season. Their line-up is already good so all they need now is to perform well. I heard that Zion is on a seafood diet. Hopefully, it's not a giant octopus or tuna per meal. Cheesy

Yes, Zion losing weight is one of the biggest story this season. I think he listens to Barkley's criticism that he needs to lose up that belly, and in the end it will really benefit him and his team. They have a solid line up right now that is playoff bound with him and CJ in the side.

Not only with Barkley's criticism, but he listened to everyone's suggestion that he should lose some weight to unlock his full potential. Some people might have been starting to hate the kid for becoming so fragile after reaching the NBA, but I still believe he's not a bust and he'll eventually live up to the hype he once have after the draft night.
Hoping for him to bounce back and be as durable as LeBron.

I think he is not a bust, still very young although he was out last year, he still has a lot of potential to be the next face of the NBA like Giannis before him. And it's good that the kid listens to every critics of his, like Sir Charles and the rest of the basketball fans and analyst. And so with that new bod, for sure we will see a lot of improvement, he has the moves already and the shooting touch outside, he just need to be consistent and not injury prone and we wish we can see him play full season.
3564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Table tennis is the best sport gambling! (My strategy of winning) on: October 05, 2022, 08:56:43 PM
Best sport gambling? Lol, at least you made money though and that is the good side of this story. But nevertheless, I would tend to agree that there is really league that can be rigged or maybe if you have been betting on table tennis and have the experience already so yes, you can read the players body language if they will take a dive on that match (but not that obvious though), and deliberate lose it for bettors to win huge amount that may or may not collude with that player and then bet while they are playing.
3565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: October 05, 2022, 08:35:22 PM
Very interesting that Haney told the media that is favoring Ryan Garcia over Tank Davis if ever they will face each other in the ring.

Quote
“I don’t know. Right now, I’m favoring Ryan Garcia but Tank obviously has that one-punch knockout power. But Ryan does too. Ryan’s much bigger, Ryan’s faster but Tank got way more experience than him. I think that's a good ass fight.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/devin-haney-favors-ryan-garcia-over-gervonta-davis--169423

Or maybe he thinks he has better chances again Ryan against Tank Davis? Or it's that Ryan physically more bigger and faster, but we've seen tank fight taller fighter like Barrios and he was able to break him down.

But he also says what we all know already, that this fight will be difficult to make because of their promotions and the network affiliations.
I think Ryan Garcia is similar with Rolando Romero which a boxer that's have been beaten by Tank, so if Ryan vs Tank will happen I expect Tank will win here. Ryan is just relying on his physical appearance and he will try to knocking down Tank, but Tank is a technical boxer just like Haney, he can outbox Ryan. Not really sure why Haney favoring Ryan, maybe he just want to gain popularity considering most people are favoring Tank.

Both of them seems to be silent and they don't have any plan to fight against other boxers, perhaps they're want to bulking and move to next weight.

Rolly though is still raw and very awkward fighter and they are not of the similar type of fighting style.

I agree that Ryan is relying on his physically because that's what all boxers do, fight long if they have the reach advantage in the fight and then uses their strength like Ryan's left hope. And this is what Haney is considering, tall and has power in both hands. But Davis, have face a tall boxer already but doesn't have the power of Garcia.

But it will not be an easy fight for Tank and even for Ryan Garcia if they face each other.
3566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: we deserve to have bitcoin on: October 05, 2022, 08:14:42 PM
It is unfair that bitcoin being a different digital money system something more egalitarian, at least not unlimited like fiat, has become so inaccessible to the people who really need it. I feel that having 1 million satoshis in a few thousand years will make you a millionaire and a more equal and free person. But what sense does it make to buy with your fiat money as many bitcoin as possible to become a millionaire and then sell it for more fiat money? I think this will make bitcoin more expensive for people who really want the currency, not to exchange it for more fiat money or other crypto, but because we know that keeping bitcoin will be fighting for a less corrupt world and those who don't have it can have something. I look forward to reach that peak of $3300 to also have the right to be part of this.  Undecided

I guess everyone has it's own choice on what do with their bitcoins, others hold it for many years and maybe think at some point they will have to sell it for fiat, buy new houses, new expensive cars, live a good life etc etc, you can't blame them for having that mindset, we all deserved what we gonna we do with our precious bitcoin. If the person what to get it back at a higher price later then so be it. The price might be too expensive but the person knows the drill so he is willing to buy as long as there are sellers, and so the cycle continues for everyone.

3568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It An Easy Transition From Gamer To Gambler In Casino. on: October 04, 2022, 11:06:40 PM
I always consider gaming as gambling I have seen many gamblers spend a lot of money for their character and to level up their account for future profit, like selling their stuff and their character.

If you're a gamer or someone is a gamer and would like to try to gamble in online casinos will it become an easy transition as all the elements of gambling are present when you're a gamer, or does a gamer have to start all over again, and have a different motivation and mindset?

Which game he would transition to online games though, that is the question, if the individual is like looking for slot games or anything that doesn't need any skills at all so it will be very smooth transition.

And as you have said, the elements might be also present in both world, competition and the end result of it all - win and rewards.

With that said, might be easier shift in terms of mindset, game rules and motivation.
3569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 04, 2022, 10:49:06 PM
There is a report that Karl Anthony Towns loses approximately 17 lbs already due to illness.

Quote
Towns spoke to the media Monday for the first time since falling ill and said his weight was down to 231 pounds (he's listed at 248), but he didn't reveal the nature of the non-COVID-19 illness.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/34720033/sources-minnesota-timberwolves-karl-anthony-towns-was-bed-rest-days-due-throat-infection

And so with that, he won't be available for pre-season games as he is still on the recovery.

Just interesting if he will permanently keep around that fighting weight around 231 pounds are Rudy Gobert might due the man in the middle for the Wolves and KAT playing power forward more often.
3570  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Cash in option na ang Metamask using Gcash, Grab and other Banks via Transak on: October 04, 2022, 10:29:22 PM
As others have said, it's good to hear that marami na tayong options sa pag bili ng bitcoin at crypto in general.

Pinag uusapan lang namin to kahapon ni misis na sana marami pa options tayong Pinoy, hindi lang yung pupunta ka sa 7-11 na minsan down ang kiosk tapos hindi rin kagandahan ang presyong binibigay nila.

Siguro one of this days ma try nga to at kung ano ang experience.
3571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think this is gambling? [Collectibles & Gambling] on: October 03, 2022, 08:39:40 PM
Do you consider doing this a form of gambling?
Would you dare to do the same thing for the sake of earning money or do you think it would be a bad idea?

I personally think it would be a bad idea since the chances of pulling out a good card is fairly small, one needs to really like the game/cards in order to open an unsealed box of such value.
This is just the same on Pokémon cards opening where as each card set has a rare card inside that have a value of thousands however I won't classify it as Gambling per sé. I would rather lean more on Investment on assets as the value of each card either depreciate or appreciate on the card's rarity, condition and other qualities it has. But it still depends on each individual on how they'll see it just like Gacha games.

I agree, just like what others collectibles cards in the past, you will have to spend some money but in return you will find some rare card inside that can be worth on what you originally pay for it. But it won't be classify as gambling as the card itself is already collectibles and you can trade it to someone. As opposed to gambling wherein you already lost your money already once you start to put your bet unless you're lucky and win. And then others will hold for this card in hope that one day the value will be worth more, you can't find that on gambling.
3572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 433 Winners to split $4,015,156.265 6/55 Grand Lotto Jackpot on: October 03, 2022, 08:16:34 PM
but based on what I've read, it's not really impossible to have that huge numbers but what is rarer and mind-boggling are all the number combinations when you add it up ended n number 9
It's not really impossible to have such number of winners since most people participate to this kind of lottery have their own number patterns, analysis and etc. The winning result is just pure coincidence that is divisible by 9.

The senate hearing like i said will be a waste of time, PCSO will just show them the copy of all winning tickets, or those 433 will testified, and last sort is showing the machine or software used for generating random number result.

If there is cheating happened the questions are, why just now?
If not, so all the jackpot winners in the past were all fixed? If those were all fixed we should see a pattern of winners, like most of them have family related to PCSO, government, etc. but its not. I'll say it again, this is just pure coincidence.

Perhaps because it did make a lot of noise in public that even the Senate want to see if there is no cheating or not.

It's not about the previous winners, it's about the current results because we are questioning it this is just a coincidence or not.  It really looks suspicious in the beginning, but for me, this is just might be what we call betting behaviors, wherein we  bet on numbers that we usually do for many years. And it just so happen that you can just write in a straight line those numbers as easy as that and then hit the winner numbers. So again this is possible and as you have said, just pure coincidence.
3573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woman Abandons 4-year-old Child In Gambling Shop As Collateral After Huge Losses on: October 03, 2022, 07:45:04 PM
~
Some mothers can be careless but there is something that is not adding up to the story, as the efforts to reach the police for more information were not successful but my intuitions tell me that the woman is not the real mother, it is possible that she was caught on debt and used another person child as the bait just to escape the hot situation. I mean, why would a mother go to a lotto to gamble and only for her to abandon her child as collateral, it is either the lady is having a mental disorder or some memory loss to have forgotten the child till evening in the hands of people who could have done whatever they want to the child especially now with the level of insecurity in the country.
because the information in the OP is not very detailed, we can put aside the speculation that the woman gambler is not the child's biological mother

but I see that when women become heavy gamblers then they are more dangerous than men, men are unlikely to sell/make their children as collateral (from many cases I have seen) but women have narrow minds and are very desperate to do that

that's really a poor child, hopefully everything can be resolved well and that child is safe

But it doesn't matter if the woman is the biological mother or not, what's the concern here is that a child is involved and for sure the child didn't know what is going on. So it's the responsibility of the adult to take care of that child and not be a collateral on your gambling addiction because that is the worst that you will do, involved a minor just to continue with your gambling addiction. Yes, and the best thing we can do is that the child is safe by now and live a normal happy life because the child doesn't deserved this. And for the woman, again, hopefully she knows that she did is wrong and change for the better and start her recovery from gambling addiction.
3574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Estrada vs Chocolatito - Trilogy - Dec 3, 2022 on: October 03, 2022, 07:19:28 PM
And since they have won their previous fight this year if I'm not mistaken, this fight has to take place but I was surprised that they have pushed it before the end of the year.

And so we are again treated with another great fight between this two legends so for sure another 12 rounds of action pack between the two.

Just another side note though that Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donare wants to go down to this weight class. And he is targeting Chocolatito already, but let's see first this great fight and maybe Donaire wil l be just waiting at the side.
3575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: October 03, 2022, 06:49:33 PM
Just for the record, this will be Bivol's 10th defense of his WBA crown, and so we can say that he is one of the best lightweight in recent years, him and Beterviev is on the top of this division.

But Ramirez wanted to change that, he even spin his motivation that he wanted to beat Bivol so hard just because he beat the 'best Mexican' today, in Canelo. Probably just adding fire inside of him, but for sure Bivol doesn't care and just wanted to get a victory here and then fight that Alvarez again.

So that also means that Bivol have managed to defend his belt successfully for 9 times straight, he truly deserved to be commended because that feat is not an easy thing to do especially here in light-heavyweight where almost all boxers are tall and powerful. However, there's a new challenger in town, Gilberto 'Zurdo' Ramirez. His resume seems great and credible but he will be tested by Bivol first and him using Canelo as a driving force doesn't bother the Russian boxer.

Or maybe the division is really that weak, that only Bivol and Beterviev has the belt in this division.

Nevertheless, Ramirez might be a step up to the boxers that Bivol fought, however, we have seen him fight Canelo and defeated him easily. And as per Zurdo, him and Canelo used to spar before in the amateur, so they really know each other and maybe this is the reason why Canelo insists that he doesn't want to fight another Mexican. But Zurdo think otherwise, he want to fight the fight even if it means going after Canelo. But we will have to wait and see if he can win against Bivol and derail the rematch between Canelo.
3576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bear Market More Important Than the Bull Market? on: October 03, 2022, 06:24:35 PM
So I am going to my main point and that is Bitcoin hit almost 70k dollars and that was just big and bigger milestone and currently it is just trading above 18k dollars. And in my opinion that is currently going in Bear Market. And that bear market will turn till Next halving and that might be in 2024 as per block data. So I was wondering that wether this bear market will be helpful for new people or not. Cause many people thoughts are different than old people in crypto. So I am preparing myself in Bear market so that I might be able to stand in next bull run that might be the biggest bull run for Bitcoin and that might be just all time high to almost 200k dollars as compared to 2021 Data.

If you feel that Bitcoin is currently too late for newbies to come this year? then the answer is wrong. In Bitcoin, you always have the same opportunity, because those of us who were there first felt regret. Learn from it all the facts you will always be given the opportunity when the bear market arrives to buy as much as you want. Make it long-term, because in the future Bitcoin could be much bigger. As we thought in the past, and until now all proved Bitcoin continues to provide many benefits. Moreover, what are we waiting for to feel doubt that Bitcoin in a bear market is the point where we will not find the same price in the future.

Yes you are right and my opinion was same cause bear market is not favorable for those people who wants quick rich schemes too. And that not good for those people are newbies. ]

Or for newbies, they will be discourage to enter the market because it's not going to make them money like in a bull run. But they have to understand that in a bear market, yes the market will be down, but you can take advantage of it, the price is cheap at a a discount. Just in this situation, from $69k, now to $20k, so that is huge cut from the price and so you can invest and buy in this dip.

And so when the bull run arrives, you have enough bitcoin in your wallet already. So you just have to wait for the right time to sell and make a huge profit from all the years you are holding.
3577  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: October 03, 2022, 06:05:03 PM

3578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 03, 2022, 04:09:06 AM
So I try to research about deaths of boxer inside the ring,

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_deaths_due_to_injuries_sustained_in_boxing

And i guess this is what the rounds was readjusted in the 80's. Before boxers fought at 15 brutal rounds but was reduced to the standard that we are using today at 12 rounds.

The infamous fight that comes to my mind is Mancini vs Duk Koo Kim who collapsed in the ring and die. Then after several months the one that referee the fight committed suicide and so is Kim's mother. And it still haunts Mancini up to this day.

The rules have been adopted a lot too to protect the boxers.

I think in the 60's they are allowed to slug it out until one of them drops but these days, when the referee sees that the fight is already one-sided and one player cannot defend itself anymore, it will be stopped and declared TKO. I think the Standing Count rule was introduced because of the death of Kim Duk-Koo.

There is lesser death these days but unfortunately, it may still happen because of the nature of this sport.

Standing count and the 12 rounds, because of Kims dead, WBC was the first to implement it after that, the other body follow as well.

It was really a big impact on the boxing world, Mancini continue to fight after that, but there are many observers who says that he lost his killer instinct and doesn't want to go for the knockout anymore.

And for Pinoys, there are also death on that list as well. But at least in recent years, the number of deaths have been reduced thanks to 12 rounds and also referee making the right decision to stop the fight when they see that something is wrong.
3579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chinese version of Metaverse will be great for meta casinos. on: October 03, 2022, 03:14:42 AM
Metaverse is a Entertainment place by virtual reality . if gamble sites choice Metaverse technology and build a meta casinos then it will give a reality casinos experience and it will attract more gambles specially young people will attract much more on this. On the one hand this is a good thing on the other hand it will further spoil the youth
I have little doubt about that the Chinese meta version because they don't show much interest in crypto related things but  it is true that they have to work on it in the future so I think if their meta version projects run successfully then I think meta casino will play a unique role in the crypto currency world.

Perhaps it will still be in the experiment phase, we all know how their government is though, so for sure they are looking at how to take advantage of the whole metaverse right now and see how it will benefit their population. So I don't expect crypto related things in the beginning.

On the contrary, it is the businessman who are looking at the option now.

Quote
Indeed, while China’s tech sector has been experiencing a governmental policy crackdown, domestic VR/AR businesses have so far been unaffected. Six of China’s tech giants – including Baidu Inc, Alibaba Group Holding Ltd, and Tencent Holdings Ltd (collectively known as BAT) – made it to the top 10 firms worldwide that filed the most VR/AR patent applications in the past two years. In 2019, most of these developments happened in the fields of retail shopping, education, gaming, marketing, information display, and industrial manufacturing.

And so whether they will implement crypto, or their CBCD remain to bee seen.
3580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Gambling Site has a Short Signature Campaign on: October 03, 2022, 02:47:55 AM
Some time ago I saw a new gambling site appear with a signature campaign managed by the professional Manager like Hhampuz , Cryptobrainbross. Like campaign  Fairspin, Bluechip (which I follow) both gambling sites didn't last long. Fairspin only runs for 2 weeks and Bluechip only runs for 1 week, and for several other signature campaigns it has also started to be held or ended.

Does this bear market affect the finances of the casino sites as well, so they have a low allocation for signature campaigns.

With the end of several signature campaigns, the competition is getting tougher. As in the Trus Dice campaign, which was managed by Hhampuz, only a few hours after it was opened, many people applied. and for sure those who have the most merit in the last 120 have a chance to be accepted. while those of us who are only able to collect a few merits are sometimes always eliminated and do not get a place.

I guess it depends on the budget of the casino itself, not if we are in the bear or bull market. There are also times that the casino itself will pause the campaign ans gauge everything and think whether they want to continue or not. As far as a I can remember though, Fairspin has been in the crypto gambling industry since 2018 so they are not new, maybe as I have said, make some changes and decided to come back with a brand new signature campaign.

Of course competition are tough, but I think everyone can get a pie of a the pie, it's a billion dollar industry, and it is a niche. So everyone will have to developed it's own strategy.
