we don't have judge or deliberate this in favour of the girlfriend, in my own suggestion, if the money collected to gamble was on agreement or the boyfriend inform his girlfriend that the purpose of taking the money is for gambling, I'm of the opinion or in support that the boy should give the girl forty million but if the girl, she not aware that the money not going to use for gambling bet, whatever the boy feels to give her in addition with the 10k, because the money was like collected in the name of lend.

I don't think that all this stories are not real, because the bet is obvious that the money belong to the apprentice, because the betting don't have anything to do with the Boss as you said. If I'm the apprentice what that will come to my mind is to establish something without letting anyone know that i won bet

He stole from his girlfriend, he should at least give her an amount of money that is worth it, given her back just 10000 naira does not worth it at all. Giving her 1 to 5 million naira is not a bad idea.

About the boss, I will not answer. What kind of apprentice? If he loses the money, will the boss give him anything in return? I will never give the boss anything but just little amount if I appreciate him as a boss.

1. My first question to the Girlfriend is will she had splitted the money had the guy lost? Although it was stingy act by the guy to gave her only 10k even its now his right to add more to the money or not since he took the risk alone. If it was me like 10 million will be going to her because I know she will still come for mine even if I gave her more so I will just use the rest I have on my to give to buy stuffs for her.

Its actually a self centered attitude by the boss, he played no role in the bets nor was the apprenticeship any way related to winning that bet so any money giving to the boss by the apprentice was just a gift and nothing more attach to it. Personally I will be gifting the boss 3 million of that amount

He stole from his girlfriend, he should at least give her an amount of money that is worth it, given her back just 10000 naira does not worth it at all. Giving her 1 to 5 million naira is not a bad idea.

I think we should consider the other side of the story had it been he lost in the bet, I believe he gave her back the same amount that he stole simply because his girlfriend is not worth giving more than that. May be before he won the gamble she has said a lot of bad things to him thinking that he was going to lose and pay her back the amount that he stole or her attitude towards him when she realised that her boyfriend is a gambler has not been fare, probably there must be something that is not clear in the story of OP.

Well from me if I stole my girlfriend money and she's not aware of what I used it to do then it is better for not to talk much but rather plan well with her and make a good business for her although is dependent on how serious our relationship is before I could go that extent otherwise, I will give her 10 percent of total money won from the gambling site. Then talking of an apprentice well I won't split my money because it wasn't from my boss or do I stole from him to make my bet, but what I will do is to help him with at least little percentage from the total amount won rather share my money into two, I might decide to leave the work and an enroll myself elsewhere if he didn't accepted what I gave him as an offer from my mind besides who will open to him I win such amount of money. I do care about my security coupled with the compromised system in Nigeria lack of insecurity etc. So it would be better for me to remain silent.

In the first story, he should give that money to her girlfriend, without her he wouldn't win those 100 millions and move from 100 down to 60 doesn't make him less millionaire. For me the request from the girl is a fair deal. But the cheap way is to cut that relation and get a new gold digger.

On the second story, even if he was an apprentice he doesn't owe anything to his boss, this was the apprentice win and he deserve to keep the full prize.

1st, the man didn't have to give his gf more than what he owed her. She's being greedy and if the man gives her something then be thankful for it. The gf would probably even bar her bf on betting on normal days, and would only allow it to happen if he wins anything.

2nd, the boss is just a vile mofo that wants to get everything in his plate. Prolly should just be the devil and ignored everyone honestly. Go somewhere far and be done with all the shit they are throwing him.

Honestly half.  He stole it it's not like he borrowed it.  Likely to say he would have never paid her back.  If we are talking usd here what's the difference between 100mil and 50mil when you never had even close to that.  He shoukd just be thankful she doesn't report him to the police lol.  Take half and run!

Yes I will but since the game played and she's now demanding for the money to be shared among our two from all indications it's a self Will to give or not same thing happened to the boss who is as well demanding to share the money 50/50 which I don't somuch buy that ideas, she should leave or look for elsewhere to continue his training because his life might be at stake thinking how Nigerian bosses do treat their apprentice.

The girl deserves more but she has no right to dictate how much she should be given. The boyfriend should acknowledge that without her money he wouldn't have had the means to place the bet. And if he had lost the money, the girl would have been affected negatively. Maybe 5 million dollars wouldn't be a bad idea because no bank would give her such interest.

For the second story, if I was the apprentice nobody would force me to split the money in half. He is my boss on the job and cannot control my finance. I would have to give him willing and not forcefully. If he is insisting that he must dictate how much he must get, I don't think he is not the only one that can teach the skills I am learning. If I am very interested in acquiring the skills, I would go to another person to gain them.

Well i will put myself in both stories as i was the two men who won the those huge bets. First man if i stole my girlfriend’s money  (which i don’t have    )  and won 100M i will surely split the money with her and apologize to her that i stole the money, it’s big money so enough for both of us to live a luxury life without the need of fighting each other’s because i want to take the whole prize
Second man even that I’m an apprentice to that boss and won 16M i wouldn’t share a penny with him because it’s my right and he is not involved in it no matter what people said i wouldn’t care, I’m sure no boss will share a big prize with his apprentices

Yea the most important word in the headline is STOLE, technically she is entitled to
all of it! but it was him who placed the bet, if he didn't the money wouldn't have been won
so yea the fair outcome would be 50/50. I wonder what a court would rule on it?

One million sounds like a lot, but in this context we're talking about the Nigerian Naira which has an exchange rate of 436 to 1 US dollar according to Google. Still some sizable sums involved and no doubt these amounts would go much further in Nigeria, but in the global context in a place like Europe 16 million is about 37,000 euros - maybe 1.5x the average salary. Large but not necessarily life changing amounts and it sounds like in the first story the girlfriend found out her man is not really decent after all, I guess she is one of the lucky few who at least got her money back in such a situation as most would have lost it all. Unless we're talking about half a million Euros (or equivalent sum in local currency) then you might be better off keeping your profession and just buying a nice house to use.

For the first story, what would she have done if he hadn't made the 100 million? Probably she would complain to police. But if she hadn't that money he couldn't able to win that 100 million. I could've accept that girl's request, because she was the one who made it happen with her money.

For second story, I wouldn't obey to boss. For gambler they need strategy but more than it, they need luck so boss didn't teach him how to be lucky His money;,his winning and his middle finger to greedy boss

And it just so happen that he won, so I think there is more than the story than just the money, just saying.

First, i would definitely leave my girlfriend and solo out those winnings.40 million is just too much for a demand.
Second, leave your boss and dont ever cameback.You do have the money, you could find another job with those money you had won.

Never make yourself that too low ground just because you arent on the position and not on just being too greedy but its true that
it is really just too much on what they are asking since you are the ones who do make out that bet.

My opinion 40M also makes sense, because it's his girlfriend's money, without that money he would not be able to win.
For second story, he shouldn't agree. If I in that position, I would to leave. Split the money in my heart certainly will not be satisfied because it is a large, for me 10% winnings from gambling, I'd better share it for all people in that's company not for boss only.

Never tell anyone ~XD why do they need to tell anyone win a lot money from gambling. why not just keep silence? example like girlfriend case, he can said borrow money for some case because the take the money without telling him.

That's would be a different scenario, If he said for gambling at the time he take the money.

I called the story a mere story, because without the boy telling her girlfriend that he has won such amount of money he would have not known that such amount of money is involved, and if actually the money was lost, it very clear that the boy will refunds the money as per say. The aspect of boss side, i will say why the apprentice will share the money equal to its boss it might be as results of ignorant, because the Boss don't have anything to do with the money, the bet money is strictly meant for the apprentice without anyone.
