3581  Other / Off-topic / My Jalapenos came in today but are very hot. Is that normal? on: April 24, 2013, 09:09:17 PM
So my 12 Jalapenos came in today but they are very hot.

You guys think it's normal? I wasn't able to mine with them:

3582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fontas' pump and the sudden support of TRC on BTC-e in the same week. hmm? on: April 24, 2013, 05:08:33 PM
TRC is undervalued.
There are only close to 2,000,000 TRC in circulation.

I'm sure TRC value will go up very soon, I bought a huge amount of them Smiley
3583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: FeatherCoin - New Litecoin based coin on: April 19, 2013, 05:36:24 PM
We need an exchange for this coin soon, or this coin dies soon... And I by "exchange" I mean a real exchange, like VirCurEx or BTC-E.
3584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BBQCoin, the coin you want to eat. on: April 19, 2013, 05:35:28 PM
If an exchange doesn't come soon, this coin will die...
3585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC/BTC MtGox on www.cryptocoincharts.info! on: April 18, 2013, 10:08:26 PM
LTC/BTC MtGox just appeared on www.cryptocoincharts.info!

It means that LTC will be on GOX in any moment!

It's there for over a week, at least.

Still... NMC and LTC will be on Gox soon...
3586  Economy / Speculation / Re: Both Bitcoin-24 and Mtgox having problems in the EU on: April 18, 2013, 07:28:22 PM
The fact that bank assets can be frozen by a government, only pleads for Bitcoin.

Time for a P2P exchange.
3587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: FeatherCoin - New Litecoin based coin on: April 18, 2013, 04:43:48 PM
I mined a bunch solo the first night, joining up in the pool now at http://fpool1.zapto.org:19327/static/

Kind of fun to see so much action around this new coin.  Thanks for all the informative posts and assistance from everyone.

Not sure if an issue with the pool or my understanding of how it pays out, but I stopped pool mining here about a half hour ago and still getting frequent incoming transactions that match my previous hashrate contribution...  Not sure if there is a bug or if just takes a while for the shares to all pay out.  Wanted to drop a note here to see if others noticed (don't want to steal from active pool miners) anything similar.

Thanks!
New

That's normal behaviour @P2Pool.
3588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 10,000 BBQCoin for sale on: April 18, 2013, 04:07:04 PM
Some might say 0.7 BTC / 1,000 BBQCoin rate is too high.

But try to mine 1,000 BBQCoins right now...
3589  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Help... Mt Gox has lost my money? on: April 18, 2013, 05:59:32 AM
Bitcoin is supposed to be a decentralized coin.
Never leave your BTC on an exchange.

I don't blame MtGox for this, use MtGox, VirCurEx, BTC-E, etc for trades only, not as a "Bitcoin bank-account".
3590  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Brazil dont has bitcoin on: April 18, 2013, 05:56:24 AM
This is where an altcoin could do wonders.

Create the BrazilCoin, mine it in Brazil, get it on an exchange like BTC-E or VirCurEx, sell it for BTC.
3591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop cloning scamcoins! on: April 17, 2013, 08:50:45 PM
It's a free world.
3592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BBQCoin, the coin you want to eat. on: April 16, 2013, 06:51:14 PM
difficulty rising and more people mining=less blocks for each
I understand that completely. I just can't get my head around going from 5 blocks in 2 hours, to none in 12. Just seems a little bit off to me.
Still not entirely sure if I'm doing something wrong or if the difficulty really shot up so much to reduce my profits that much.

Variance + higher difficulty = a bitch.
3593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BBQCoin, the coin you want to eat. on: April 16, 2013, 06:50:22 PM
I heard rumours about BTC-E and BBQCoin? Is it true?

There are 2 exchanges currently setting up bbq on their sites. But I cannot disclose who yet.

I heard VirCurEx and BTC-E (as the biggest), so that (more or less) confirms my sources Smiley

3595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terracoin Price Recovering on BTC-e on: April 15, 2013, 10:54:59 AM
If you consider the amount of coins in circulation, just over 2 million in total, price on BTC-E is still low.
I bought a shitload of them, feels like a good investment Smiley
3596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BBQCoin, the coin you want to eat. on: April 14, 2013, 06:55:02 PM
I would like to buy 10k BBQCoins for 0,1 BTC if at all possible.
I saw on the BBQcoin.org forum that the rate was 100K for 0,5BTC so i think double that is a good price. Wink
PM me if interested.

I can offer 10k BCQ for 8 BTC if you like.
Already sold 5000 for 1 BTC per 1K BCQ.

PM me if interested. Smiley

Gox: "We are scheduled to launch a new cryptocurrency this week."

Maybe they are talking about RIPPLE. LTC is not mentioned explicitly.

Yeah, that must be it!

The LTC and NMC api-shit on MtGox is just there to pull us a leg.

3598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terracoin. What the hell is going on? on: April 13, 2013, 10:30:42 PM
You know, in my opinion, it's likely this guy who is taking advantage of Terracoin's diff is Luke-jr, he's done it before on other alt-coins, no reason he can't spare 100gh/s to do it again.

Doesn't matter who's doing it, this time it's Luke-jr or Luke-sr and next time it's someone we don't know.

Fact is: it is possible to do and with more ASIC's coming attacks like these won't go away.

To gain trust in the coin (by people, pools and exchanges) TerraCoin must be safe against any attack. If not? Nobody will remember it in 2014...
3599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TRC] new 0.1.3-30 mandatory update on: April 13, 2013, 07:59:06 PM
Today we had yet another wild ride of TRC difficulty.

I decided to close TRC pool until difficulty swings issue is solved.

Sorry to hear that. Your support of TRC and the alt coin community though is always appreciated.

Pool will be back as soon as situation is normal. I just hate to explain to miners why there was strike of 20 consecutive orphaned blocks.
Not to mention that PPS is impossible under these circumstances.

One question:
When I visit Coinotron, click account and forgot to login I get:

You are not authorized to view this page.

It's obvious that I have to login so why not redirect to the loginscreen instead of "You are not authorized to view this page"?

This is bothering me for over a year now  Grin
3600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terracoin. What the hell is going on? on: April 13, 2013, 07:40:30 PM
Can anyone explain this?

I stopped mining TRC 3 hours ago (P2Pool) but 23 minutes ago my client suddenly said "incoming!":

Quote
Status: 21 confirmations
Date: 13-4-2013 21:17
Source: Generated
Credit: 2.63128957 TRC (matures in 99 more block(s))
Net amount: 0.00 TRC
Transaction ID: 79935ee30009d72cfa42ce400e1f8146d6cb6e5af2d2c021c135c90b1c152e08

Generated coins must mature 120 blocks before they can be spent. When you generated this block, it was broadcast to the network to be added to the block chain. If it fails to get into the chain, its state will change to "not accepted" and it won't be spendable. This may occasionally happen if another node generates a block within a few seconds of yours.
