3581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal cube on: April 19, 2017, 10:02:59 AM
Since they are out of stock you could just email them and ask them.  My guess is that you could probably do one per email address as long as you pretended the email addresses were different people, which means if they were actually different people then it should work to.  I doubt they do more than copy and paste for shipping info so they may not even notice if you shipped several to the same address unless they happened to process the orders right in a row.  On the other hand, when the next batch comes out they may raise the limit on how many you can buy and make this whole discussion less meaningful.

Emailed them two days ago. Still haven't gotten a response.

Thanks for your input though

use their skype, you will get a faster response, there is always someone supporting you there, as for your question, i find it strange what you said, i see that in the group buy there are people ordering 12 unit, which mean that you got a bad informations from someone, or just bad rumors
3582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Cube - Power supply on: April 19, 2017, 10:01:13 AM
i think you can just plug that to your gaming computer and use your normal psu with 6 pin or 8 pin depend what you need, you can also do without a computer bu you need a bridge to connect the two pin to run the psu
3583  Economy / Gambling / Re: LISTING of SCAM bitcoin gambling sites on: April 18, 2017, 03:30:50 PM
I want create LISTING of SCAM bitcoin gambling sites

please post here situation and proof!

This will be very useful info for many users

Creating a list of scam sites so gamblers will avoid it is a good idea but looking at your trust rating, it will be difficult for others to trust your list. I'll recommend for you to try to post it in other forums.

I do not think that the trust rating will affect our interest in this thread. I know that the negative trust does not look good but this thread is about gambling sites that are scam. Player or not, no one wants to be scammed and this thread will be helpful especially if the list will be posted as soon as possible. As long as the OP has valid evidence for the list, the trust rating should not be a bother at all.

i doubt the thread starter is serious, he don't even care about the list that i posted here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1820308.msg18520897#msg18520897, which include many gambling scammers site, and the thread starter is a scam himself, he was tagged recently, so be aware on what he post, he could exclude some of his scam site
3584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ZEC vs PASC vs XBC Which would you choose right now? on: April 18, 2017, 03:27:21 PM
i choose zec too, because while zec emission is very high, i think they are producing 338 btc per day, with the mining activity, this has great potential and can equal ETH which is producing much more bitcoins per day, in less than one year the reward to the developers will be cut, and the 2 coins per block will go to miner, it's there that zec will go very high, i'm waiting for that moment
3585  Economy / Economics / Re: where should i invest my 0.5 btc ? on: April 18, 2017, 03:21:52 PM
investments in altcoins is very good, and that's the best invesment at the moment. You can find information some coins are good for investment, such as ETH, and others.
good luck Smiley
i would also suggest buy eth and wait for few year if you are not in hurry and if you are then you can do eth or altcoin trading trading but it need lot of patience and consume a lot time.

waiting for ffew years in crypto is very risky, i know wer are talking about ETH which is the most safe altcoin, because the big marketcap it carry but still many years are dangerous even with holding bitcoin, let alone any other altcoin, in my opinion is better to invest in some altcoin that can give you a fast return like some pos coin with high return per year, or try to find what coin will be pumped next, if you follow the whales it's possible, they have IRC on which you can join
3586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: April 18, 2017, 03:18:25 PM
What is bitcoin for you? Is it a chance or a scheme to get rich? Or is it actually to keep your wealth to yourself.
What lead you into bitcoin world and what's keeping you here?

it's a way for me to save my money without being tracked by the bank for every little movements, i like privacy with my money and bitcoin offer me that, gold for example is not very good at privacy, and i preferred bitcoin over it
3587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Thinking on invest 100$ on: April 18, 2017, 03:16:44 PM
I want to invest 100$ in a coin. Would you recommend me what coin?

Im currently thinking on ARK or NEM

i would recommend atomcoin, or spreadcoin, to invest, both coin have increased very much, spreadcoin, up to 27k satoshi from 2k satoshi, more than 10x, and atom more than 3x, don't invest in ico they are not going much higher than the initial pump, only good for pump and dump and for who want to gamble

Tickets are now 38.92 might be a good time to buy a few, so glad I finally was able to get stake mining to work.

^so you buy a "ticket" to be able to "stake" ~ this makes no sense!! :\

why? it's not different than buying coin for pos to mint, same principle

Tickets are now 38.92 might be a good time to buy a few, so glad I finally was able to get stake mining to work.

^so you buy a "ticket" to be able to "stake" ~ this makes no sense!! :\

The ticket also serves to vote and when it's voted you receive the coins paid for it again + 1.5 DCR (around $18 per ticket from POS)

hey why is the reward for the ticked now decreased? wasn't 1.8, is this going the same way as the reward from block with halving?
3589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin SegWit will be activated in less than 11 days on: April 18, 2017, 10:53:26 AM
All in all what is it good for ? Litecoin was meant to be 4 times quicker than Bitcoin anyway to address the slow transaction problems Bitcoin has from time to time........

Whether SegWit adds more speed or not, SegWit offers developers a way in to add a multitude of transactional tricks, this is of more interest for many than speed of Lightening which it doesn't really need right now however if you watched the presentation by Charlie Lee he offered some use case in combination with Bitcoin.
Although the specific working numbers of LiteCoin do not match Bitcoin I see it as similar to Bitcoin as a solution handed out on a plate for all those who want an immediately cheaper, fast, programmatic system that could thrash VISA transactions.
LiteCoin has almost clinched the deal on having something Bitcoin desperately needs.
I've never checked the transaction speed, maybe it is 4x faster but really, to be something to compete with VISA 4x wont cut the mustard.

litecoin is 4x faster because the block tiem is 2.5 of what is bitcoin, if you reduce the block tiem to 1 minute you get more capacity, it's like you have the block at 10MB, because you have confirmation faster and can handle more transaction in the same time as bitcoin, now can you share what are those tricks that segwit can brign to bitcoin?
3590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which card is which? on: April 18, 2017, 10:49:41 AM
If we go to gpu-z or atiwinflash or watttool, we got cards sorted out. There is this first, second, bla bla.

I wonder which card is which? Anyone knows? Do we know that the card in PCI-e 1 is always the first card and so on?

i think there isn't a easy way to tell, it's not always the first gpu in the first slot, but you can be sure that the hottest card is the one near the cpu with the pcie x16, try nvidia smi command tool to tell in what position the gpu are
3591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: large scale mining advice on: April 18, 2017, 10:44:59 AM
I believe that the GTX 1080 Ti can bring in $5/day mining MonaCoin right now. That's a $700 GPU though, so the initial cost alone is offputting to many.

In regards to my comment earlier about 33% being fair that was referring to 33% of profits (just to be clear).  Cheers
I am working with 470s sure that card can't make $5/day , and yes i am charging 33% of profits , the 1080ti isn't that avarege card that we can calculate upon it's profits , to be more accurate each card is making $2/day and i am charging 1/3rd of that and yes ppl are good with that , something like10% or so will not turn me any profits and will be working for them for free.

ok but it's still like paying very high electricity, beacuse if my gpu make $2 and you get 33% this is $120 a month on a single rig, which is like paying 0.16 cent electricity for 6 gpu rig that consume 1000 watt, do the math yourself, if i have 0.1 cent electricity it's better to remain at my home mining, your proposal it's only good for those with very high electricity, because if i want hosting i would only pay 5 cent(10% to you not 30%), which is the point for hosting for me, having very cheap electricity, but your rate kill this and make it useless to host in your facility
3592  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Your advice needed on: April 18, 2017, 10:41:13 AM
Greetings!

I am creating sites and I am good in Maths. I already have an experience in creating games with HASH SUM verifications (games, where result is predefined and you cannot be cheated).
I have two ideas to create.

I plan to make a lottery game with a possibility to win a Lexus GX 460 and with a clear hash sum verification.

Or I can add a new Space game, where you will be able to upgrade your ship, collect trash from a space and extract some good resources from trash. Also later will be added an ability to fight with other ships and winner will get resources, loser will lose his ship.

What is better to add, how do you think?

Or if you can suggest any other Idea, I will review it and create too.

can you add skilled game like, 1024 or some sort of tetris, or again dama/chess anything like that with a good prize pool, and not a high entry prize? would be wonderful to have something not always based on pure luck
maybe can also be good to have sort of lottery on these game or betting in the people that are playing this skilled game, thereby you can have two games in one and more profit
Gambling cannot happen on a skill game such as chess, it's because folks would cheat heavily with bots.

op how about a game like one in this thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=127159.0

you can't apply some for of anti cheat with captcha or hash sum,  like the OP say to prevent cheating?

3594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google released a digital book on blockchain on: April 17, 2017, 04:15:22 PM
Google is going to blockchain tech it could be good or  bad news

if what they do means more investors, it will be good, i can't think how it can be bad, google is very big if something go through google will be more recognized, and bitcoin getting more exposure it's good in my book isn't it?

google digital book about blockchain can get free or must buy
if buy how much price, and where i can buy, and what is title book

you need to buy it, they say they released it on blockchain because will be more secure, will allow to have a secured copyright
3595  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to 1400 on: April 17, 2017, 04:12:59 PM
I hope so we will see $1400 in Q2 still more high chance for it. I bought some coins under $900 last month now I am in good position.

Good for you that you managed to buy yourself some coins below the $900 level, but there isn't anything at this point that will push the price towards the $1400 level any time soon. Market movers and other large traders hold a defensive stance until we have finally overcome this destructive scaling nonsense. It has taken long enough now, SegWit should get activated by force, and not by reaching an impossible support level of 95%.

i think the price isn't moving because of the scaling issue, but because there are not enough buyers, in fact the price recovered after bitcoin unlimited lost his advantage, which mean that the buyers don't care anymore about that, $1400 is doable but if we want a bigger value you need more money invested in bitcoin

3597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: large scale mining advice on: April 17, 2017, 04:06:53 PM
You can do what i did , i didn't make them pay in any of the setting up costs , i built everything and i have free electricity , after building everything i charged them 1/3 of thier profits to host the rigs in my place and taking care of everything and the offer was fair enough for them.

i would never host anything if you are asking 33% of my revenue, this is stupid crazy man, would kill my profit 100% and roi would take much longer, and asking 33% isn't very different than mining with very expensive electricity, so why i should mine in your facility? i just keep mining with my expensive electricity

Let's say a really busy person wants to invest a million dollars into hash rate. He'll need to take time off to setup the facility, and perhaps manage the farm full time. He may not have the skills to do it himself and his time is valuable.

So he partners with a person who has the time and knowledge to manage his investment. It's similar to hedge funds where they charge 2% management fee + 20% performance (profits).

Not saying 33% is justifiable or anything, but just pointing out both parties can benefit from such arrangements. If electricity is free (say your partner hydroelectric power), 33% is OK imo. Simply send your partner cheap 290/380/390, poor hash/watt but great $/hash cards.

Also, in December last year an Rx 480 only made $1 a day, and it costed me $0.50 to run with my expensive electricity. That's 50% gone, not 33%.

what you say it's true when the profit is very low, but the profit now is high, one gpu is making $5 per day, if i give to him 33% i'm losing $50 a month for each gpu, this is crazy dude and much more than my current electricity
3598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the future for altcoins? on: April 17, 2017, 10:02:29 AM
Hundreds of altcoins with new ones being created everyday, it's becoming increasingly confusing for average guys like myself to invest in . Surely most of these coins, maybe 99% of these coins will be dead in a few years. Only a few could be truly unicorns from this deluge of shitcoins, how can we as investors take an educated bet on a coin. What real benefit do any of these coins bring to the world? Why do we need a coin like matchpool, a token for decentralized dating  Huh Why do we need so many privacy coins monero, zcash , zcoin etc? Why do we need country coins like aurora solely for use in one country. Dogecoin and rare Pepes  Huh

What I want to know is simply what type of coin serve a real need in this world like bitcoin? Will it be Utility coin like factom, social media coin like synereo, platform coin like ethereum, privacy coins like zcash? Gaming coins like 1st blood or none of them provide enough of a benefit to be a success in the long run due to clones completely saturating the market or blockchain technology itself being overly hyped. What is the ideal use case of blockchain tech and do any of the existing coins provide it?

just stick with the strongest one, the other are done only to scam people from their bitcoin, invest in them only if you expect a return, although they remain risky, follow only those that you think are at least supported for a certain time and the dev is not going to dump the premine, and also all the utility that those coin you said, they have, it's also a thing that bitcoin can do, bitcoin can be used in social media and can be used without destroying your privacy but it need harder work, i use altcoin for diversification, it's good to have bitcoin side by side with other legit altcoin
3599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH and ETC on: April 17, 2017, 09:58:21 AM
if u want to bag it, go with ETH.  Smiley

Do you mean ETH will rise faster?

ETH is now more valuable and have better potential, don't forget that ETC was created only because of the hard fork and the hacker, but all this is long gone now, what it matter is that vitalik is still supporting his project and didn't run away after he dump, i think ETH will be a strong contender of bitcoin in the future, the market cap is simply too huge to fail, so buy ETH instead yes,, has a better promises
